Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence, time management, and academic stress on students' accounting learning behaviour. In college, effective learning behavior is essential to achieve optimal learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quantitative survey that collects data through questionnaires distributed to accounting students at several universities. Data analysis was conducted using PLS (Partial Least Square). The research shows that emotional intelligence has a significant positive influence on learning behaviour, and students with high emotional intelligence tend to be better able to manage their emotions and motivation during the learning process. In addition, good time management also contributes positively to learning behaviour, so that students can manage their time effectively. On the other hand, academic stress was shown to have a significant negative impact, as high levels of stress can affect concentration and motivation to learn. The conclusion of this study highlights the importance of developing emotional intelligence and time management skills in accounting students and the need for strategies to reduce academic stress. Recommendations for future research are to consider interventions that can improve these three components to support better learning behaviour.

Abstract

The orange fruit produced in the village of Segeran, Juntinyuat sub-district, Indramayu regency is very abundant during the main harvest. To utilize the BUMDes fruit, he immediately had the idea of making orange jelly. Previously, all processes for making orange jelly still used manual methods, such as squeezing, stirring, cutting and drying the orange jelly. With these problems, an orange jelly mixer and orange jelly dryer were made to increase the production of orange jelly immediately. The initial process of mixing jelly ingredients using human hands was only capable of producing 10 kg per hour. The manual mixing process was replaced with a jelly dough mixer so that the capacity increased to 30 kg per hour. This stirrer is driven by a 180 watt single phase Houle motor with a 1:5 gearbox, setting the stirrer fin rotation speed to 100 rpm. Next is the drying process for the orange jelly, initially using solar heat which takes 7 days. This drying process is replaced with a jelly dryer which can reduce drying time from 7 days to 8 hours. The dryer uses 4 heaters with 900 watt power with a capacity of 15 kg per drying process at a temperature of 600C. With these two pieces of equipment, the production capacity for orange jelly immediately increased from the initial 10 kg per week to 90 kg per week.

Abstract

Background: Early Postoperative Small Bowel Obstruction (EPSBO) is a primary factor contributing to death and morbidity after pelvic and abdominal surgery. Although it is frequently regarded as a surgical emergency, the most recent research indicates that non-operative management is always preferable unless there are complications.Case: A 53-year-old woman came with symptoms of small bowel obstruction and a history of hysterectomy three weeks earlier. The patient refused surgical intervention, so a conservative approach was taken. She was given methylprednisolone 500 mg/day in two doses daily for three consecutive days, in addition to nasogastric tube insertion and symptomatic therapy. After three days of follow-up, the patient showed symptoms improvement, and the abdominal X-Ray and CT Scan showed no abnormal findings.Discussion: The majority of Early Postoperative Small Bowel Obstruction (EPSBO) cases, according to the most recent research, may be managed without surgery. Additionally, due to their anti-inflammatory properties, some medications, like corticosteroids, have been found to be beneficial and effective for EPSBO. This is because they may help resolve the obstruction and lessen the edema and fibrin deposition associated with EPSBO following abdominal surgery. Conclusion: Conservative therapy with steroids appears promising due to its lower risk profile and greater patient comfort. However, the exact mechanism and its efficacy in treating EPSBO have yet to be fully concluded, so further research is still needed.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mathematical model that describes the dynamics of pests, natural enemies, and refugia plants within the framework of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). The model integrates biological control through predation, mutualistic relationships between natural enemies and refugia plants, and mechanical control through pest harvesting. The proposed model is then analyzed dynamically to study its qualitative behavior. It has been shown that the solutions of the proposed model are non-negative and finite, demonstrating the biological feasibility of the model. We also analyze the local stability of the equilibrium point to gain insight into the system's long-term behavior and to identify conditions that allow effective pest control. We show that the model has seven feasible equilibrium points, but only four of them are stable under certain conditions. In particular, the pest-free equilibrium point is conditionally stable, indicating the potential for effective pest control. Finally, we perform several numerical simulations to confirm the results of our analysis, especially the stability of the four stable equilibrium points. This study provides insight into integrating biological and mechanical strategies in pest management, emphasizing the importance of ecological interactions for sustainable agriculture.   Keywords: integrated pest management, local stability, natural enemy, numerical simulation, refugia plant.

Abstract

Huller is the main machine that determines the quality and quantity of production in the rice milling industry. The current problem, especially in the small-scale rice milling industry, is that they still use locally made huller machines that use 6-inch diameter rice rubber rollers with a capacity of 800-1,200 kg/hour. Local huller machines produce a yield (broken rice) of 30-40%, so three huller machines and one polisher machine are needed in one production line. This machine assembly requires energy, human power and high costs. With these problems, a machine is needed that is capable of increasing the yield and milling capacity. Huller machine with horizontal rice rubber roller has a dimension specification of 1.3X0.9X2 meters; Rice rubber roller diameter 10 inches; 3 phase electric motor 20HP 15KW 1,500 rpm. The huller machine has been tested at the CV. Putra Maju rice mill, Wirakanan Village, Kandanghaur District, Indramayu Regency for 4 months. Test results Huller machine capacity 1,600 kg/hour ± 50 kg with a yield of 72% ± 2%.
