Abstract

Abstract

The pandemic has changed the order of the world of Business. The impact of the pandemic was also felt by MSME business actors which resulted in a decrease in income. The Association of Farmers and the Development of Livestock Honey Production is one of the affected MSMEs. In addition to decreasing income, business capital has been eroded. These MSMEs do not have risk management to anticipate every business risk that occurs. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The emphasis in this study focuses on the analysis of the conclusion process as well as the analysis on the dynamics of the observed phenomena relationship using scientific logic. The application of risk management to honey business actors recommends four things with an emphasis on three things, namely: elimination, substitution, and administration. These three things are the most appropriate recommendations to deal with the systematic risk of a COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

Developing students’ scientific reasoning and argumentation skills is essential for achieving meaningful learning in physics, as these competencies are fundamental to scientific literacy and higher-order thinking. Nevertheless, physics instruction in many secondary classrooms still prioritizes procedural problem solving, providing limited opportunities for students to engage in reasoning and scientific discourse. This condition highlights the urgent need for instructional models that explicitly integrate inquiry and argumentation into learning. This study examined the effect of the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) model on students’ scientific reasoning and argumentation skills using a mixed-method quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pretest–posttest control group. The participants were 72 eleventh-grade science students from a public senior high school in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, divided into an experimental (ADI) and a control (conventional instruction) group. Data were collected using validated reasoning and argumentation instruments and analyzed through normalized gain, ANCOVA, and discourse analysis. The results showed that students in the ADI group achieved higher improvements in scientific reasoning (N-gain = 0.66, high) and argumentation quality (N-gain = 0.72, high) than those in the control group. Discourse analysis further revealed more frequent construction of claims, use of evidence, and rebuttals among ADI students, indicating deeper epistemic engagement. In conclusion, this study provides novel empirical evidence that ADI effectively strengthens reasoning-based physics learning by simultaneously enhancing students’ scientific reasoning and argumentation, offering a robust pedagogical contribution for fostering higher-order thinking in secondary science education.

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of financial literacy on tax compliance in Indonesia, particularly focusing on the upcoming increase in Value Added Tax (VAT) to 12% scheduled for 2024. As a developing nation with as substantial population, Indonesia faces challenges in increasing state revenue through taxation. Financial literacy, defined as the ability to understand and effectively manage financial concepts, plays a vital role in enhancing tax compliance among the populace. The study highlights that individuals with higher financial literacy are more likely to comprehend the importance of paying taxes, understand their rights and obligations as taxpayers, and accurately calculate their tax liabilities. Conversely, those with lower financial literacy levels often struggle to grasp tax regulations and may be less compliant. The findings underscore that boosting financial literacy among the Indonesian population could lead to improved tax compliance, which is essential for increasing government revenue and promoting economic growth. Furthermore, this research emphasizes the need for educational programs aimed at enhancing financial literacy, thus fostering a culture of compliance. A qualitative approach was adopted, involving literature reviews and thematic analyses to explore taxpayer perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors regarding the 12% VAT increase. Ultimately, the success of tax policy initiatives in Indonesia is contingent upon the level of financial literacy within the community.

Abstract

Physics education at the high school level still faces challenges in improving student learning outcomes on abstract concepts such as sound waves. Many instructional approaches lack contextual or culturally relevant elements that can make learning more engaging and meaningful. This research explores the integration of local cultural elements into physics education using the Kakula musical instrument as a contextual learning tool. Using a quasi-experimental method guided by the Educational Reconstruction model, this study examines the academic validity of the learning media and its impact on student learning outcomes. The kakula instrument, rich in acoustic properties, was used to teach the concepts of waves and sounds within a problem-based learning framework. The experiment showed a statistically significant improvement in learning outcomes, with average post-test scores increasing from 59.94 to 70.53. Statistical tests, including normality, homogeneity (Bonett and Levene), and a t-test, showed a p-value of 0.0001 < 0.05, which means that the null hypothesis is rejected. The alternative hypothesis is accepted, indicating a significant effect of physics learning media using the Kakula musical instrument on student learning outcomes on the topic of sound waves. The results of the research can serve as a basis for developing culturally integrated teaching materials while preserving local heritage and enriching science education practices.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of Article 7 of Bandar Lampung City Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2022 on Market Administration, which obliges the local government to maintain accessibility and traffic flow around traditional markets. The research is motivated by the continued use of public roadways as trading areas at Pasar Tani, Kemiling Subdistrict, which disrupts public order and compromises collective interests. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Article 7 and to examine its implementation from the perspective of fiqh siyasah tanfidziyyah. Employing a qualitative method with a juridical-empirical approach, data were obtained through semi structured interviews with five traders and three officials of the Bandar Lampung City Trade Office, as well as analysis of statutory regulations and classical and contemporary fiqh siyasah literature. The findings reveal that the regulation’s implementation remains suboptimal due to inconsistent law enforcement, limited administrative capacity, and low legal compliance among traders. From a fiqh siyasah tanfidziyyah perspective, this condition indicates the insufficient role of local government as ulī al-amr in realizing justice, public welfare, and harm prevention.
