Abstract

This investigative method is quantitative and uses experimental techniques with a posttest-only control design. The research focus is on students as a population, with cluster random sampling used for selection. Class B was used as the experimental class, while Class C was used as the control group. Data is collected through documentation and testing. The results of data analysis using the SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectually) approach and the Talking Stick approach show an increase in the average learning outcomes in the experimental class. In contrast, the control class uses a conventional learning model using the lecture method. Data analysis used the t-test, and because t-count > t-table, H0 was rejected. This means that the average learning outcomes of Class B students using the SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectually) collaborative approach and the Talking Stick approach are the same or greater than the learning outcomes of Class C students using the conventional lecture method.

Abstract

This study compared the students' environmental care attitudes and environmental literacy skills in two schools. This study uses an ex-post facto research strategy and a quantitative methodology. Purposive sampling was used to sample the science class population, and data were collected by dividing the environmental care attitude surveys and environmental literacy test instruments. Using an SPSS, the data were examined using the independent sample t-test. The study's findings demonstrate that pupils' environmental literacy for schools X (65.50) and Y (62.09) meet good requirements. The criteria for student attitudes toward the environment are quite good; schools X and Y score 58.56 and 58.86, respectively. The results of the hypothesis test indicate a difference in students' environmental literacy but no difference in their attitude toward the environment between the two schools, with a sig. of 0.020 < 0.05 for environmental literacy and a sig. of 0.944 > 0.05 for students' environmental care attitude.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to characterize students' computational thinking skills in problem-solving in terms of their degree of metacognition awareness. The study is descriptive and qualitative in nature. The participants were selected using purposive sampling, comprising of two students with reflective metacognitive awareness, two students with strategic metacognitive awareness, two students with aware metacognitive awareness, and two students with tacit metacognitive awareness. The data was collected through written tests and interviews and analyzed based on the computational thinking indicators. The findings reveal that the computational thinking abilities of students who use metacognitive awareness in problem-solving are abstraction, pattern recognition, and decomposition. Furthermore, students with strategic metacognitive awareness exhibit proficiency in abstraction and pattern recognition. Additionally, students who use metacognition awareness through abstraction or decomposition exhibit computational thinking abilities when solving problems. However, students with tacit metacognitive awareness do not meet the computational thinking indicators while solving problems.

Abstract

Environmental literacy is a prominent 21st century learning theme that students need to master. However, data in the field shows the low environmental literacy of students in one of the schools in one city in Indonesia which is supported by several studies. Environmental literacy can be improved by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with the STEAM approach. The research focuses on developing online learning tools with the PjBL-STEAM model on environmental materials to improve environmental literacy. The type of research used is Research and Development (RnD) research with the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The devices developed include lesson plans, LKPD, and assessment instruments. From the results of the study, valid, practical, and effective learning devices were obtained.

Abstract

The tourism industry is an important aspect of economic growth; therefore, this sector continues to experience demands for expanding development. But unfortunately, often the logic offered by tourism does not meet the logic of the environment, so in many cases the environment becomes a victim. This situation prompted researchers to look at how environmental justice operates in tourism policy at the UNESCO Global Geopark Ciletuh (UGGC). This research uses policy implementation theory from George Edward III and environmental justice theory from Taylor. Methodologically, this research uses the descriptive-qualitative method. The results of the study reveal that from the four theoretical indicators, namely communication, resources, organizational structure, and disposition, it is clear that the implementation of environmental policies is still experiencing obstacles. This is caused by human resources, both managers and local residents, who have not been able to understand the concept of geopark ecology and the value of environmental justice. In the technical realm, environmental policy implementers are still stuttering and nervous about translating ecological rights into tourism operations in Ciletuh. Ciletuh has a big challenge in terms of ecology if policy implementation is still not able to understand the principles of environmental justice.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the impact of Financial Technology on Generation Z's transactional knowledge and usage, as well as their preferences for using e-wallet applications. Using Google Form, 26 respondents of various ages and genders participated in an online survey to capture data on transactional knowledge and FinTech utilization. The results of the analysis indicate that Generation Z has a solid grasp of Financial Technology, particularly as it pertains to e-wallet applications. The majority of respondents demonstrated a practical understanding of non-cash transactions, but there is still room for improvement in their comprehension of financial concepts. E-wallets are also widely adopted, with the majority of respondents using applications such as Dana, Qris, Ovo, Shopeepay, and Gopay for a variety of transactions, including purchases and fund transfers. However, some respondents continue to rely on cash transactions. Therefore, more comprehensive financial education programs, cybersecurity and privacy awareness campaigns, and the development of more intuitive e-wallet app interfaces are suggested. With the implementation of these recommendations, Generation Z can be better prepared for evolving financial changes and ensure the prudent and efficient use of Financial Technology in their financial management.
