Abstract

This quantitative investigation examines the impact of workplace conditions and motivation on tutor performance, incorporating job satisfaction as a mediating factor. Data was gathered via questionnaires distributed to tutors across 10 Training and Course Institutions (LKP) in Kampung Inggris, Pare, Kediri, Indonesia. From a total population of 185 tutors, 165 completed surveys were returned and analyzed. Researchers employed a non-probability sampling strategy, specifically judgmental purposive sampling. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate statistically significant positive effects: both the work environment and work motivation directly enhance tutor performance and also have a positive influence on job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction itself exerts a significant positive effect on performance. Crucially, mediation analysis confirms that job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between the work environment and work motivation, and both of these factors influence tutor performance. These findings offer valuable insights for institutional enhancement strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of heat treatment with varying temperatures on the hardness, microstructure, and wear resistance of S45C carbon steel. Specimens were heated at temperatures of 700 °C, 750 °C, and 800 °C for 30 minutes, then rapidly cooled using a saltwater medium. Test results indicate that increasing the heat treatment temperature significantly enhances surface hardness, with the highest value recorded at 800 °C. Microstructural observations reveal that martensite phase dominates at high temperatures, contributing to increased hardness and resistance to deformation caused by friction. Wear testing showed a negative correlation between hardness and wear volume, with specimens of higher hardness exhibiting narrower and smoother wear marks. These findings confirm that heat treatment temperature control is a key factor in optimising the surface performance of S45C steel for engineering applications requiring high wear resistance.

Abstract

Kegiatan belajar mengajar di Lembaga Pendidikan Al Qurán An Nur terdiri atas Pembelajaran membaca Al Qurán (dengan metode IQRO’) dan Menulis Huruf dan Angka Arab (Al Qur’an) serta bagi santri yang telah khatam Al Qurán 30 Juz mereka mendapat bimbingan tambahan menghafal Al Qur’an, terjemah lafziyah, menghafal Hadis, Mahfuzhat mengenalkan bahasa Arab, Terjemah Al Qur’an dengan Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris dengan jadwal belajar dari pukul 14.30 sampai dengan 18.00. Kegiatan pembelajaran di LPQ An Nur berupa kegiatan baca dan tulis, dimana kegiatan ini harus ditunjang oleh fasilitas pencahayaan yang baik. Sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia, intensitas cahaya yang dibutuhkan untuk kegiatan ruang kelas adalah sebesar 250 lux. Hasil survei lapangan terukur intensitas cahaya di ruangan kelas sebesar 86.1 lux tanpa pencahayaan lampu dan terukur dengan nilai 132.4 lux , kedua nilai tersebut masih dibawah nilai SNI. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dilakukan pembenahan berupa penggantian lampu dengan nilai lumen sesuai dengan perhitungan yang mempertimbangkan luasan ruang kelas dan nilai lux yang diharapkan. Dari perhitungan, dilakukan pembenahan lampu dengan 3300 lumen dan daya 30 Watt untuk menggantikan lampu sebelumnya. Dengan penggantian lampu tersebut, menaikan intensitas cahaya di ruangan kelas sebesar 298 lux sedikit mendekati nilai lux ruang baca sesuai nilai SNI. Peningkatan nilai lux memberikan konsekuensi peningkatan nilai daya per lampu yang awalnya 8 Watt menjadi 30 Watt, sehingga memberi dampak kenaikan konsumsi energi listrik bulanan untuk pencahayaan dan bertambahnya biaya operasional bulanan LPQ An Nur

Abstract

 This Community Service Program aims to enhance the production capacity of red bricks at UMKM Putra Mandiri, located in Mulyadadi Village, Cipari District, Cilacap Regency, through the implementation of a red brick extruder machine. The partner’s main issue was the manual production process, which limited production capacity and resulted in inconsistent brick quality. The program activities included field observations, partner discussions, training sessions, and mentoring on machine operation and maintenance. The results showed that using the extruder machine significantly increased production capacity from 100 pcs/hour to 750 pcs/hour, indicating a 750% improvement compared to manual methods. Furthermore, the  produced bricks demonstrated better uniformity, density, and strength, while reducing production time and labor intensity. The adoption of this appropriate technology not only improved productivity and competitiveness but also strengthened the partner’s independence in business operations. The implication of this activity is that technological transfer through community service programs can provide sustainable impacts on local economic development by promoting innovation, efficiency, and self-reliance among small enterprises.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa tinggi tanggapan atau respon para operator transportasi on line yaitu; pengemudi transportasi online, pemilik kendaraan, pengguna transportasi online dan pengemudi Taxi konvensional serta pengelola transportasi online, berkaitan dengan kebijakan pemerintah tentang transportasi online melalui Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan Nomor 32 Tahun 2016 Tentang Penyelenggaraan Angkutan Orang Dengan Kendaraan Bermotor Umum Tidak dalam Trayek. Motode penelitian ini berdasarkan motode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan strategi studi kasus serta metode analisis diskriptif terhadap setiap kelompok responden melalui instrument questioner tertutup dan dianalisis secara prosentase dari masing masing item pertanyaan yang disajikan secara grafis. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa para operator transportasi online belum seluruhnya menerima terhadap kebijakan pemerintah tersebut. Beberapa isi kebijakan yang di nilai memberatkan para pemiliki kendaraan yaitu mengenai STNK harus atas nama badan usaha dan pemebrian tanda khusus pada nomor rangka chasis agar dapat dilakukan revisi terhadap kebijakan tentang transportasi online.

Abstract

Arenga palm flour–producing regions face significant challenges in managing solid waste, particularly in Daleman Village, Klaten, Central Java. Home-scale industries generate onggok aren, a cellulose-rich residue consisting of pulp and coarse fibers produced in large quantities. However, in practice, this waste is often discharged directly into rivers, contributing to water and environmental pollution. Most areas of Daleman Village are agricultural lands that typically require fertilizers to maintain soil fertility, which encourages further exploration of the potential use of onggok aren waste. One promising utilization is as a raw material for compost fertilizer that is both efficient and affordable. The composting process is carried out using a simple method with the aid of the EM4 bioactivator and molasses to accelerate the decomposition of organic materials. The activator mixture is applied in a specific ratio of 1 part EM4, 1 part molasses, and 10 parts water. Utilizing onggok aren waste as compost fertilizer not only addresses the issue of waste accumulation but also enhances the value of natural resources and reduces dependence on chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari) (Coleoptera: Scolytidae) or Coffee Berry Borer (CBB) is the most destructive major pest that causes quantitative and qualitative losses in Arabica coffee. The research aimed to calculate population, attack H. hampei, coffee yield losses, the measure distribution pattern of H. hampei on various Gayo arabica coffee varieties, and the analyze estimated decrease in the production of coffee based on population and attack H. hampei in Gayo arabica coffee. The location chosen as a place of observation and sampling is a smallholder coffee plantation with variations in elevation. Each area is determined by two points of observation and sampling locations. At each sampling location, 80 ripe or red coffees were taken, 80 dark or yellow coffees, and 80 young or green coffees (24 pieces per four branches per tree). The results showed that the population and attack of CBB pests on Gayo 3 varieties are relatively high compared to Gayo 1 and Gayo 2 varieties. The distribution pattern of CBB on all varieties of Gayo Arabica coffee showed an aggregated distribution based on population and attack. The decrease in arabica coffee production has the potential to occur on a variety Gayo 3.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Emulsi M/A basis krim minyak biji bunga matahari memiliki keunggulan menjaga kelembaban kulit, anti inflamasi, mudah diaplikasikan, tidak lengket, dan mudah dicuci dengan air. Formula memiliki peran penting dalam pembuatan basis krim karena formula yang tidak tepat menyebabkan perubahan sifat dan karakteristik yang drastis. Percobaan ini dipelajari untuk mengetahui pengaruh fraksi emulsifier, fraksi minyak biji bunga matahari, dan kecepatan pengadukan terhadap karakteristik basis krim. Karakteristik yang diamati adalah daya sebar, diameter globula, dan stabilitas basis krim. Basis krim dibuat dalam beberapa formula dan berbagai kecepatan pengadukan ketika fase minyak dituangkan ke dalam fase air secara bertahap. Suhu kerja dijaga antara 60-70 oC selama 30 menit saat pencampuran. Pengamatan daya sebar dan diameter globula dilakukan setiap 5 menit, sedangkan stabilitas hanya diamati pada akhir proses. Perlakuan terpilih berupa kecepatan pengadukan 2000 rpm pada pengemulsi 4% dan minyak biji bunga matahari 10% menghasilkan basis krim dengan daya sebar 7,1 + 0,68 cm dan diameter globula 12,7 + 1,62 µm. Semua formula dan kecepatan pengadukan menghasilkan basis krim M/A dengan stabilitas yang baik.Kata kunci: basis krim, emulsi M/A kecepatan pengadukan, minyak biji bunga matahari, emulsifierABSTRACT. The O/W emulsion of sunflower seed oil base cream has the advantage of maintaining skin moisture, anti-inflammatory, easy to apply, not sticky, and easily washed off with water. A Formula has an important role in a base cream manufacturing due to improper formula causing drastic changes in the properties and characteristics. These experiments were studied to investigate the effects of fraction of natural emulsifier, fraction of sunflower seed oil, and impeller speed on the base cream characteristics. The characteristics observed were spreadability, globule diameter, and stability of the base cream. The base cream was prepared in some formulas and various of impeller speeds when the oil phase was poured into the water phase gradually. The working temperature was kept between 60-70oC for 30 minutes of mixing. Observations of the spreadability and the globule diameter were conducted every 5 minutes, while the stability just observed at the end of process. The treatment of 2000 rpm of impeller speed on 4% of emulsifier and 10% of sunflower seed oil resulted in the base cream with spreadability of 7.1 + 0.68 cm and globule diameter of 12.7 + 1.62 µm, while all of the formulas and   impeller speeds resulted in O/W base cream having good stabilityKeywords: Base Cream, Impeller Speed, Natural Emulsifier, O/W emulsion, Sunflower Seed Oil

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Kabupaten Boyolali memiliki jumlah penduduk tertinggi kedua di eks-Karesidenan Surakarta sehingga limbah cair domestik yang dihasilkan juga tinggi. Hal ini mendorong upaya pengelolaan limbah domestik menggunakan SANFAB ST 600. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kinerja IPAL Individual SANFAB ST 600 setelah diberi perlakuan dengan Anaerobic Granule Bacteria. SANFAB ST 600 memiliki volume 600 L dan berkapasitas 1-4 orang. Air limbah rumah tangga yang dialirkan ke inlet ST akan menuju ke settler, selanjutnya mengalir secara upstream dalam unit Anaerobic Filter dan terjadi penguraian zat pencemar oleh bakteri anaerobik. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada dua rumah di Dusun Karangmojo, Kabupaten Boyolali. Sampel diuji di BLKK Yogyakarta untuk parameter TSS, COD, BOD, konsentrasi Amonia, pH, dan ORP. Pada minggu ketiga di Rumah Bapak Wahyudi, karakteristik outlet ST memiliki nilai TSS 25,5 mg/L, Amonia 0,255 mg/L, BOD 25,01 mg/L, dan COD 47,92 mg/L sehingga sudah sesuai baku mutu. Dari hasil uji dilakukan perhitungan efektivitas pengolahan TSS, BOD, dan COD dengan cara menghitung selisih konstanta inlet dan outlet dibagi dengan konstanta inlet serta perhitungan rasio BOD/COD dengan membagi kadar COD dan BOD setiap sampel. Dari sumber limbah WC dan kamar mandi (Rumah Bapak Wahyudi) bakteri bekerja lebih efektif dibanding sumber limbah WC (Rumah Bapak Somowirejo) dengan efisiensi lebih dari 80% pada minggu ketiga penambahan bakteri.  Kata kunci: Anaerobic Granule Bacteria, Efisiensi, Limbah Domestik, IPAL ST 600 ABSTRACT. This led to the management of domestic wastewater using Individual WWTP SANFAB ST 600. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Individual WWTP SANFAB ST 600 after being treated with Anaerobic Granule Bacteria. The SANFAB ST 600 has a volume of 600 L and a capacity of 1-4 people. Domestic wastewater that flows into the ST inlet will go to the settler, then flows upstream into the Anaerobic Filter unit and decomposed by anaerobic bacteria. Sampling was carried out at two houses in Karangmojo, Boyolali Regency. Samples were tested at BLKK Yogyakarta for parameters of TSS, COD, BOD, Ammonia concentration, pH, and ORP. In the third week at Wahyudi's house, the characteristics of the ST outlet had a value of TSS 25.5 mg/L, Ammonia 0.255 mg/L, BOD 25.01 mg/L, and COD 47.92 mg/L so it already suitable with the standard. From the test results, the effectiveness of TSS, BOD, and COD reduction is calculated by the difference between the inlet and outlet constants divided by the inlet constant and also calculating the BOD/COD ratio by dividing the COD and BOD levels of each sample. From the source of WC and bathroom waste (Mr. Wahyudi's House) the bacteria worked more effectively than the WC source (Mr. Somowirejo's House) with an efficiency of more than 80% in the third week after bacteria addition.Keywords: Anaerobic Granule Bacteria, Efficiency, Domestic Wastewater, IPAL ST 600
