Abstract

This research is based on a needs analysis that shows the limitations of learning aids that can visualize Atmospheric Dynamics material. Therefore, it is expected that there is a practical and effective media to be practiced in learning activities. With this in mind, this research focuses on producing learning media in the form of Pop Up Book that can help students' understanding in learning Atmospheric Dynamics material. The model applied is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Media trials were carried out on class XI IPS 1 at MA Bilingual Batu City. The research findings state that the material feasibility test is 82.5% and the media feasibility test is 100%, so it can be categorized as very feasible to use. The effectiveness test obtained a result of 77% which was categorized as very effective in learning. While the practicality test was obtained from a response questionnaire with a score of 100% from teachers and 87.5% from students, this indicates that the media is categorized as very practical. Based on the test results, the Pop Up Book ‘ATMOGRAF’ media is feasible to be applied as learning media by teachers and students to support the learning process and help students understand Atmospheric Dynamics material.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of spatial thinking skills and environmental care characteristics in geography learning. This study aims to test the effect of the Earthcomm learning model on spatial thinking skills and environmental care characters of grade X students at. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study involved 72 students who were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through three instruments: a spatial thinking essay test (10 questions), an environmental care character strengthening questionnaire (30 questions), and Student Worksheets (LKPD) compiled based on the Earthcomm model syntax. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity prerequisite tests, hypothesis tests with simple linear regression, simple correlation tests, and N Gain Score tests. The results showed that the Earthcomm learning model had a significant effect on spatial thinking skills and environmental care characteristics. Simple correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between spatial thinking skills and environmental care characters. However, the N Gain Score test in the experimental group showed an effectiveness of 47.9%, which is included in the less effective category. The limited time for implementing the model in the independent curriculum is one of the factors that influence these results. This study concludes that the Earthcomm model has the potential to improve spatial thinking skills and environmental care characteristics, although its implementation requires further adjustment. These findings provide implications for the development of more effective learning models in supporting both aspects, especially in the context of a dynamic curriculum.

Abstract

Medowo Village is a potential location for plantings due to its location on the slopes of Mount Anjasmoro in Kandangan District, Kediri Regency. Moreover, Medowo Village is renowned for its dairy for cows and goats. This research aimed to determine the type and level of participation in the production of organic fertilizers to support in sustainable agriculture. This research used a qualitative approach and descriptive method. The data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documenting. The identification of key informant was using the purposeful snowball throwing technique. Data analysis used reduction, display, and verification, as well as data validation through Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The discussion was conducted with 20 farmers, with the main topics related to: a) the problem of fertilizer needs in Medowo Village, and b) producing fertilizer for sustainable farming using the Shivansh fertilizer method. According to the results, there were four stages of farmer participation: 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) utilization of results, and 4) evaluation. The findings indicated that the level of farmer participation is classified as "good" for all stages. Participation is demonstrated specifically by attendance, participation, and enthusiasm. High participation is found mostly in stages that include activities in producing the . Therefore, inviting farmers at the planning stage is essential to increase participation in program.

Abstract

Based on needs analysis, as many as 75% of students have difficulty understanding the material presented by the teacher. Disaster mitigation learning in class still uses printed teaching materials which do not help students' understanding. The use of printed teaching materials and boring learning does not fully support the learning process. The aim of this research is to produce website-based digital teaching materials using identification of website addresses with the domain classgeografi.com and to test the suitability of teaching materials for the learning process. The research method uses the ADDIE model with five development stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Data collection was carried out based on the results of validation carried out by material and media validators and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Feasibility test of digital teaching materials by material validators (83%) and media validators (96%) with the feasibility category "Very Feasible". In the trial conducted at SMAN 1 Gondanglegi, the student user response was (96%) and the teacher user response was (96%) with the feasibility category "Very Feasible". Based on the results of this assessment, website-based digital teaching materials are suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to map the landscape of personalized learning in basic education through bibliometric analysis. The data used in this study was taken from the Scopus database, covering publications from 2004 to 2023. Using bibliometric analysis methods assisted by Vos Viewer, this research explores trends, publication patterns, and key topics that emerge in research related to personalized learning in elementary school level. The study results include 3 major theme clusters, namely Teachers, Schools and Learning Environment. Teachers, schools, and learning environments are three important pillars in a personalized learning approach, complementing each other to create meaningful learning experiences. The teacher acts as a key facilitator who designs learning methods according to the needs of each student. Schools provide policies, infrastructure and systemic support to support the implementation of personalized learning. The learning environment includes physical, social and technological components that encourage students to learn independently and collaboratively. Thoroughly understanding these three components is crucial for developing effective and relevant strategies in advancing personalized learning at the basic education level. Further exploration is needed on technological approaches in personalized learning, case-based research in specific schools, the role of feedback and teacher evaluation. These findings are important for understanding how learning innovations can be more effectively implemented in basic education contexts.

Abstract

Minangkabau community of West Sumatra is familiar for its local wisdom called rimbo larangan, particularly on a concept dealing with environmental conservation. Excessive forest exploitation made the local wisdom of rimbo larangan needs to be revitalized by the community. The research aimed to determine 1) the local wisdom of the Minangkabau community in managing rimbo larangan and 2) the implementation of local wisdom rimbo larangan in geography learning. The research was conducted in the rimbo larangan in Nagari Alam Pauh Duo, South Solok Regency, and Koto Malintang Nagari, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The research design was a qualitative descriptive, and data was collected through interview, observation, documentation dan literature review. The research results illustrated that rimbo larangan is in good condition though some differences in the management. The revitalization of rimbo larangan can be done by supplementing local wisdom topics to the geography syllabus in high school to develop students' environmental awareness.

Abstract

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks a person's immune system, often called PLWHA (People with HIV AIDS). The public stigma about PLWHA has a negative impact on development, especially PLWHA who are still children, such as those at the Lantern Foundation, especially since the Lantern Foundation is located in the middle of an urban area, meaning they have to survive with the help and assistance of generous people. Urban Farming or Urban Agriculture offers an interesting and enjoyable method with the main aim of meeting food needs independently and effectively considering that land in urban areas is increasingly limited. Our implementation method uses an offline method/going directly into the field. There are various methods or types of urban farming that can be tried, such as verticulture methods, hydroponics, fish farming in bucket, using used goods as media, and seeding techniques. It is hoped that the urban farming method that we apply will entertain PLWHA children at the Lantern Foundation as a form of community service. This form of optimizing urban agriculture also indirectly trains their creativity.
