Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the level of academic stress among students, (2) the level of peer social support, and (3) to test the significance of the relationship between peer social support and academic stress experienced by students. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational research design. The population of this study consists of 421 students from SMPN 1 Kotanopan who were registered during the July-December semester of the 2025 academic year, with a sample of 241 students selected using Stratified Random Sampling. The instruments used were the "Peer Social Support Checklist" and the "Academic Stress Checklist." Data were analyzed using descriptive techniques and Pearson's Product Moment correlation. The results of the study indicate that (1) the peer social support for students at SMPN 1 Kotanopan is at a high level, (2) academic stress among students at SMPN 1 Kotanopan is at a low level, and (3) there is a significant negative relationship between peer social support and academic stress. This study indicates that when the level of peer social support is high, academic stress among students is low.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of two Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter designs based on the Hanning and Blackman-Harris windows for preprocessing electroencephalography (EEG) signals collected from both neurotypical individuals and those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). EEG signals were recorded using a 16-channel setup and band-pass filtered between 0.5 and 40 Hz to isolate relevant neural activity. Subsequently, the signals were processed independently using each FIR filter type. Performance evaluation was conducted using four quantitative metrics: Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), and Power Spectral Density (PSD). The Hanning window filter showed MAE values ranging from 0.079 to 0.325, MSE from 0.026 to 0.177, SNR between 7.56 and 15.86 dB, and PSD values from 5.3 to 9.08 × 10⁻³. These results demonstrate good noise attenuation while preserving signal morphology. In contrast, the Blackman-Harris window produced higher MAE (0.061–0.318) and MSE (0.019–0.172) but achieved significantly greater SNR improvements (7.77–17.4 dB) and tighter control over PSD (4.904 – 8.442 × 10⁻³), indicating superior noise suppression and reduced spectral leakage. A paired t-test confirmed that differences in all four performance metrics were statistically significant (p < 0.05) across both neurotypical and ASD subject groups. Despite the Hanning filter's computational simplicity, the Blackman-Harris filter demonstrated more robust performance, making it a more suitable choice for high-fidelity EEG signal analysis in clinical diagnostics and neuroscience research.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis, kemampuan literasi kreatif, dan literasi digital remaja di Desa Tambu, Kecamatan Balaesang, Kabupaten Donggala melalui pelatihan penulisan puisi ekologi yang dikemas secara menarik dengan memanfaatkan platform media sosial TikTok. Permasalahan yang mendasari kegiatan ini adalah rendahnya minat remaja terhadap isu lingkungan serta terbatasnya media ekspresi yang sesuai dengan gaya hidup digital mereka. Metode kegiatan terdiri atas tiga tahapan utama, yaitu: (1) Tahap Persiapan, yang meliputi koordinasi internal dan eksternal, penyusunan instrumen pelatihan, serta kesiapan teknis; (2) Tahap Pelaksanaan, yang mencakup sosialisasi isu ekologi, pelatihan penulisan puisi bertema lingkungan dengan pendekatan kreatif, pelatihan produksi video puisi berbasis TikTok, serta pendampingan intensif dalam produksi konten digital; dan (3) Tahap Evaluasi, dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest, observasi, serta refleksi partisipatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam tiga aspek utama. Rata-rata skor peserta meningkat dari 52,3 menjadi 82,7 dalam pemahaman isu ekologi dan sastra; dari 49,8 menjadi 85,1 dalam kemampuan menulis puisi tematik; dan dari 44,2 menjadi 84,6 dalam kemampuan memanfaatkan TikTok sebagai media edukasi. Secara kualitatif, peserta menunjukkan perubahan sikap, rasa percaya diri, serta keberanian mengekspresikan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan melalui media digital. Peserta juga berhasil menghasilkan video puisi yang dikemas kreatif dan memperoleh respon positif dari audiens di media sosial. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan berbasis sastra dan media digital mampu menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi ekologis dan digital remaja. Model ini dapat direplikasi sebagai upaya edukatif berbasis komunitas yang relevan dengan kebutuhan generasi muda masa kini.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the patterns and effectiveness of directive speech acts used by students of the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Department under the Merdeka Curriculum at SMKN 2 Palu, particularly in the context of promoting their design products. The study combines qualitative analysis of directive forms (inviting, requesting, suggesting, commanding) with quantitative measurement of communication effectiveness using a Likert scale. The findings reveal that students predominantly use inviting and suggesting speech acts, while requesting and commanding occur less frequently. Based on Berlo’s SMCR model, the suggesting directive emerges as the most effective form due to its combination of politeness, clarity of intention, and persuasive power, whereas requesting shows the lowest effectiveness. Social factors such as gender, age, local dialect use, and learning environment influence students’ communication patterns. The Chi-Square test indicates a significant relationship between types of directive speech acts and their levels of effectiveness (p < 0.05). These findings highlight the need to strengthen students’ professional communication competence within the DKV learning framework, particularly in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum and Teaching Factory, to enable students to promote their design works more persuasively and in alignment with industry standards

Abstract

Elementary students frequently struggle with descriptive text writing due to decontextualized instruction disconnected from their cultural experiences. This study examined the effectiveness of a multiliteracy approach infused with local wisdom on fifth-grade students' descriptive writing abilities. A quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control groups was employed, involving 25 fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Bungku, Morowali Regency, Indonesia. The experimental group (n=13) received multiliteracy instruction integrated with Morowali local wisdom, while the control group (n=12) received multiliteracy instruction without cultural contextualization. Descriptive writing ability was assessed using a validated analytical rubric (α=0.87) encompassing content, organization, vocabulary, language use, and mechanics. Data were analyzed using independent samples t-test and Cohen's d effect size. The experimental group achieved significantly higher posttest scores (M=84.16, SD=3.98) compared to the control group (M=72.96, SD=4.29), t(48)=-10.54, p<0.001. Cohen's d of 2.71 indicated an exceptionally large treatment effect. Integrating local wisdom into multiliteracy pedagogy creates synergistic benefits by providing culturally familiar contexts that facilitate idea generation and reduce cognitive load, enabling students to leverage experiential knowledge as compositional resources. Local wisdom-infused multiliteracy approaches substantially enhance elementary students' descriptive writing abilities, offering a culturally responsive pedagogical framework for Indonesian language instruction.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (Project Based Learning/PjBL) dengan pendekatan psikopragmatik dalam pembelajaran menulis dialog drama pada siswa kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 5 Palu. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam menulis dialog drama, khususnya dalam menggambarkan karakter tokoh, emosi, serta maksud tuturan secara kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 16 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan melalui tahapan PjBL, yaitu pertanyaan mendasar, perencanaan proyek, pelaksanaan proyek, penyajian produk, serta evaluasi dan refleksi. Pendekatan psikopragmatik diterapkan untuk membantu siswa memahami fungsi tuturan dalam dialog berdasarkan konteks psikologis dan sosial tokoh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL dengan pendekatan psikopragmatik mampu meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis dialog drama. Dialog yang dihasilkan siswa menjadi lebih hidup, komunikatif, dan sesuai dengan karakter serta emosi tokoh. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif, kemampuan bekerja sama, serta pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap makna tuturan dalam dialog drama. Dengan demikian, model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek dengan pendekatan psikopragmatik efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis dialog drama di tingkat SMP dan dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang kontekstual dan bermakna. KATA KUNCI: Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek, Psikopragmatik, Menulis Dialog Drama.   IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROJECT-BASED LEARNING MODEL WITH A PSYCHOPRAGMATIC APPROACH IN LEARNING TO WRITE DRAMA DIALOGUE AT STUDENTS OF SMPN 5 PALU     ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with a psychopragmatic approach in teaching writing drama dialogues to class VIII C students of SMP Negeri 5 Palu. The background of this study is based on students' low skills in writing drama dialogues, especially in describing character, emotions, and the purpose of speech contextually. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects were 16 students selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques during the learning process. Learning was carried out through the PjBL stages, namely basic questions, project planning, project implementation, product presentation, and evaluation and reflection. The psychopragmatic approach was applied to help students understand the function of speech in dialogues based on the psychological and social context of the characters. The results of the study indicate that the application of the PjBL model with a psychopragmatic approach can improve students' skills in writing drama dialogues. The dialogues produced by students become more lively, communicative, and in accordance with the characters' characters and emotions. In addition, students show active involvement, the ability to work together, and a better understanding of the meaning of speech in drama dialogues. Thus, the Project-Based Learning model with a psychopragmatic approach is effectively applied in learning to write drama dialogues at the junior high school level and can be an alternative strategy for learning Indonesian that is contextual and meaningful. Abstract

The Lauje language, spoken by communities in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, reflects a rich cultural and social identity, yet faces the threat of extinction due to the dominance of Indonesian and the impact of globalization. This study aims to explore the forms, functions, and strategies of directive speech acts in the Lauje language, which remain largely undocumented in linguistic research. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to achieve this goal. Data was collected through field observation, audio recording of natural conversations, and interviews with native speakers in Moubang Village, a culturally representative Lauje-speaking area. Data collection techniques included eavesdropping, recording, and note-taking, while the analysis involved data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and validation using source and theoretical triangulation. The findings reveal six distinct forms of directive speech acts —commanding, ordering, requesting, asking, suggesting, and advising —each with specific social functions and realized through both direct and indirect strategies. These patterns reflect the speaker's sensitivity to social context, hierarchy, and politeness norms. The study concludes that directive speech acts in Lauje serve not only communicative purposes but also preserve the community's cultural values and relational dynamics. The research contributes to pragmatic studies of regional languages and supports efforts to document and revitalize endangered linguistic heritage in Indonesia.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat etika berbahasa remaja Desa Toribulu dalam komunikasi tatap muka dan komunikasi digital. Persoalan utama yang melatarbelakangi kegiatan ini ialah masih terbatasnya kemampuan sebagian remaja dalam menyesuaikan tuturan dengan lawan bicara, situasi sosial, tujuan komunikasi, serta konsekuensi pesan di media sosial. Pelatihan dirancang dengan pendekatan sosiopragmatik karena kesantunan tidak hanya ditentukan oleh pilihan kata, tetapi juga oleh kepekaan terhadap relasi sosial, norma lokal, medium komunikasi, dan dampak ujaran. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, penyampaian materi, diskusi kasus, simulasi percakapan, praktik merevisi tuturan, refleksi, serta evaluasi pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman peserta dari 43,8% pada pre-test menjadi 85,6% pada post-test, atau meningkat 41,8%. Peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada aspek kesadaran etika komunikasi digital sebesar 46%. Peserta mulai mampu membedakan gaya bahasa akrab dan formal, menyampaikan kritik secara lebih santun, mempertimbangkan dampak komentar digital, serta merefleksikan kebiasaan bertutur sehari-hari. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan berbasis sosiopragmatik efektif sebagai strategi pembinaan karakter komunikatif remaja desa karena menghubungkan pengetahuan bahasa, latihan praktis, empati, dan tanggung jawab sosial.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop audiovisual-based learning media for writing observational report texts using the inquiry method for eighth-grade students of SMPN 1 Wita Ponda and to test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study used a research and development method with stages of needs analysis, design, development, validation, trial, and product revision. The research subjects included material experts, media experts, Indonesian language teachers, and eighth-grade students. The research instruments were validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and pretest and posttest writing skills tests. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques, N-gain calculations, and paired t-tests. The results showed that the developed learning media were in the very valid and very practical categories. The effectiveness test showed a significant increase in students' writing skills with a moderate N-gain value and significant t-test results. Thus, audiovisual-based learning media with the inquiry method is feasible and effective for use in learning to write observational report texts in junior high schools. Keyword: Learning Media Development, Writing Report Texts, Inquiry Method   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran menulis teks laporan hasil observasi berbasis audiovisual menggunakan metode inkuiri pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Wita Ponda serta menguji tingkat validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitasnya. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, validasi, uji coba, dan revisi produk. Subjek penelitian meliputi ahli materi, ahli media, guru bahasa Indonesia, dan siswa kelas VIII. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi, angket kepraktisan, serta tes pretest dan posttest keterampilan menulis. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, perhitungan N-gain, dan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat valid dan sangat praktis. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan keterampilan menulis siswa dengan nilai N-gain kategori sedang dan hasil uji t yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis audiovisual dengan metode inkuiri layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks laporan hasil observasi di SMP. Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors of prejudice that can lead to radicalization among elementary school students and to improve understanding of the values of diversity and tolerance through academic literacy. This study was conducted in elementary schools in Palu City involving 500 students who were divided into two groups: experimental and control. The research method used was descriptive research with a quasi-experimental design, where both groups were given pre- and post-tests to measure the increase in attitudes of respect and tolerance. Data were collected through test instruments that measured students' moral attitudes towards diversity and radicalization, while data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the experimental group that participated in the "Baku Sayang and Baku Jaga" program experienced a significant increase in respect and tolerance values. The N-gain score for respect in the experimental group increased by 0.79 (high category), and for tolerance increased by 0.82 (high category), while the control group only showed a moderate increase with N-gain scores of 0.33 and 0.35, respectively. The findings confirm that the program is effective in increasing students’ respect and tolerance which can reduce the potential for radicalization among them. This study suggests that academic literacy-based approaches and discussion groups are effective strategies to support character education in elementary schools. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor prasangka yang dapat menyebabkan radikalisasi di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar serta untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang nilai-nilai keberagaman dan toleransi melalui literasi akademik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di sekolah dasar Kota Palu dengan melibatkan 500 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: eksperimen dan kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental, di mana kedua kelompok diberi tes pra dan pasca untuk mengukur peningkatan sikap menghormati dan toleransi. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes yang mengukur sikap moral siswa terhadap keberagaman dan radikalisasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen yang mengikuti program “Baku Sayang dan Baku Jaga” mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan pada nilai rasa hormat dan toleransi. Skor N-gain untuk rasa hormat pada kelompok eksperimen meningkat sebesar 0,79 (kategori tinggi), dan untuk toleransi meningkat sebesar 0,82 (kategori tinggi), sementara kelompok kontrol hanya menunjukkan peningkatan yang moderat dengan skor N-gain masing-masing 0 ,33 dan 0,35. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa program ini efektif dalam meningkatkan sikap menghormati dan toleransi siswa yang dapat mengurangi potensi radikalisasi di kalangan mereka. Penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa pendekatan berbasis literasi akademik dan kelompok diskusi merupakan strategi yang efektif untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar.
