Abstract

The presence of a child is a dream for every married couple. The presence of a child in the family is a complement to happiness. In welcoming this happiness, many traditional events are held in each region. In South Tapanuli, the welcome ceremony is an oral tradition that is usually carried out. This manyonggot-ngonggoti event is usually carried out by the family of the woman. Manyonggot-nyonggoti aims to provide prayers and strength for prospective mothers and their unborn babies. In this ritual, a lot of equipment is needed. Both from food and tools. All these ingredients are united in a medium called upa - upa. These food ingredients are arranged in such a way to be enjoyed by the mother-to-be and her baby-to-be. Upa - upa has the meaning of each symbol. These symbols of food ingredients have their own meaning to be given to the mother-to-be and her baby. Some symbols of food ingredients in this ceremony are eggs, goldfish, salt and many others. To find out the meaning of each symbol, a semiotic analysis was carried out. The data is taken from the results of interviews with several traditional leaders and literacy from several references.

Abstract

Tingkeban is a culture that has been passed down from generation to generation and has become a habit, this tradition is passed down orally. Each ethnic group has its own traditions, including the Javanese, as the researcher discussed, namely the tingkeban tradition, this tradition is one of the Javanese ethnicities which discusses the seven-monthly thanksgiving process during pregnancy. The research method used is by interviewing a resident who usually leads the tingkeban tradition in the Unity Village of Asahan Regency. In this oral tradition, semiotic aspects or signs are found in every verbal and nonverbal aspect.

Abstract

Seumapa rhymes is an oral tradition in Aceh whose contents are related to marital problems. In other words, this rhyme is a rhyme delivered by the linto baro and dara baro parties at the wedding procession. This pantun is still an Acehnese tradition, although the rules are not as strict as before. The rhyme is started by the singer from the side of the linto baro as a guest, namely greeting the dara baro as the host that the linto baro group has arrived. Furthermore, answered by the virgin baro. And so on until the linto baro is allowed to enter the arena of the wedding party or to the house to eat the next meal. This study aims to reveal in depth the contents of the "seumapa" pantun. To describe the rhyme, the author uses a descriptive qualitative method. In addition, this study also uses an objective approach because it focuses on literary texts.

Abstract

Kearifan lokal merupakan perilaku positif manusia dalam berhubungan dengan alam dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tahap-tahap pelaksanaan upacara meneppuh babah pada masyarakat pakpak, untuk mengetahui tradisi dan kearifan lokal apa saja yang terdapat pada tradisi meneppuh babah pada masyarakat pakpak. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori kearifan loakal Sibarani (2012:114). Adapun kesimpulan yang di dapat dari penelitian ini adalah tahap-tahapan upacara meneppuh babah, memasuki rumah baru, menaikan tiang, acara doa, acara memberikan ulos, memberangkatkan ujian dan lain-lain, acara ini memberi makan tukang pada pagi hari dan setelah selesai membangun rumah

Abstract

Toba Batak culture has a variety of unique and distinctive cultural riches. This can be seen from the cultural elements that are different from other cultures. One of the Toba Batak cultural traditions that is still preserved today, namely Umpasa. The richness of the Toba Batak culture still exists today. Umpasa is an oral tradition in the form of rhymes used by the Toba Batak cultural community to convey messages in the form of wishes, hopes, and other life values. This Toba Batak oral literature is used by local people on certain occasions. One of them is Umpasa in the Saur Matua ritual. In this context, Umpasa saur matua expresses the feelings experienced and expresses compassion for the events that occurred. In addition, the umpasa used also contains various values, such as religious values, namely the presence of God in life, family values, namely in conveying the umpasa there is a family relationship seen from the family line, and the value of deliberation, namely upholding mutual respect between relatives.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using flippity media on the ability to write poetry. The population of this study were all class X students of SMA Negeri 4 Tebing Tinggi for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample for this study was class X-1, which consisted of 34 people using the cluster sampling technique. In this study the experimental class was given a poetry writing ability test before and after using flippity media. The conclusion of this study is that the average value of the students' pretest was 51.76. And the average value of the students' posttest was 85.41. The ability to write poetry in class X students of SMA Negeri 4 Tebing Tinggi for the 2022/2023 school year after using media flippity has a significant effect. This is proven through hypothesis testing, namely tcount > ttable (14.88 > 2.03). So that in this study H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. So, it can be concluded that media flippity has an effect on improving students' ability to write poetry.

Abstract

Pentingnya optimalisasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dikarenakan masih banyaknya aplikasi pembelajaran online yang belum menyediakan fitur dengan Bahasa Indonesia sehingga terbatasnya inovasi pembelajaran secara digital. Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat dijadikan rekomendasi adalah Teachmint yang telah menyediakan fitur Bahasa Indonesia tetapi belum begitu banyak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka, dalam penelitian ini penulis memperoleh data dari buku, karya ilmiah, dokumen dan sumber lain yang relevan serta didukung hasil wawancara dan pengamatan dengan Guru Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 2 Pandan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia secara digital dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih luas, sehingga diperlukan inovasi untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran digital melalui penyediaan aplikasi digital yang memiliki fitur Bahasa Indonesia. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan adalah menggunakan E-learning yang dikembangkan dan dirancang dengan baik untuk pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Aplikasi teachmint baik diterapkan kepada siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis maupun pembelajaran menyimak karena siswa memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang materi yang digunakan untuk menulis resensi dan membuat siswa fokus pada apa yang sedang mereka pelajari.

Abstract

Pemahaman siswa terhadap hasil bacaan yang masih rendah menyebabkan kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam menelaah teks, salah satunya yaitu menelaah struktur dan kebahasaan fabel.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran two stay two stray terhadap kemampuan menelaah struktur dan kebahasaan fabel siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Hamparan Perak Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Hasil penelitian pada saat pretest diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa 69, termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Sementara itu, hasil penelitian pada saat posttest diperoleh nilai rata-rata siwa 81,4, dan termasuk dalam kategori baik.  Melalui pengujian hipotesis yaitu, thitung > ttabel yaitu 5,99 > 2,04227, sehingga membuktikan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang cukup signifikan dari penggunaan model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap kemampuan menelaah struktur dan kebahasaan fabel siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Hamparan Perak. Sehingga ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan model two stay two stray dalam menelaah struktur dan kebahasaan fabel berpengaruh secara signifikan.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) Analyze the poetry writing ability of class X students at SMA Negeri 4 Binjai before using the blended learning model assisted by Quipper School; (2) Analyzing the poetry writing ability of class X SMA Negeri 4 Binjai students after using the blended learning model assisted by Quipper School; (3) Analyze the influence of the blended learning model assisted by Quipper School on the ability to write poetry in class X SMA Negeri 4 Binjai. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a one group pre-test post-test design research design. The population in this research is all students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Binjai, totaling 110 people and the sample in this research is students of class The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative data by testing analysis requirements, homogeneity testing, homogeneity testing and hypothesis testing. The research results showed that the average score for students' poetry writing ability before using the blended learning model assisted by Quipper School was 57.77. The average score obtained by students after using the blended learning model assisted by Quipper School was 82.77% and was classified as good. Based on the results of the t test that was carried out, a value was obtained at a significant level of a = 0.05, the value of the t table provisions was 2.46 and the result of t = 13.06. So tcount ˃ ttable is 13.06 > 2.46, so ho (null hypothesis) is rejected and ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. Overall, it can be concluded that teaching using the blended learning model assisted by Quipper School has a positive effect on the results of the poetry writing ability of class X SMA Negeri 4 Binjai students.

Abstract

Strengthening literacy, numeracy and character skills is an important effort to improve the quality of human resources in the Digital Age and the Era of Disruption. As a teacher or education personnel, developing students' activeness so that they can apply numeracy skills well is a big responsibility. The numeracy skills in question are number concepts and arithmetic operation skills used for daily life skills. This service activity aims to provide numeracy literacy-based learning process assistance to junior high school teachers in Medan City to improve the ability of teachers to create Numeracy Literacy HOTS questions. This activity is carried out in several stages, namely the team preparation stage, school observation, making modules/materials to be delivered to mentoring activities. In delivering the material, the community service team used various methods, questions and answers, discussions, lectures and assignments. All of these methods are used as needed. The result of the activity is that teachers can develop HOTS-based questions in groups according to their respective subjects. The group was chosen in order to provide a positive stimulus to teachers who do not know and understand the preparation of HOTS-based questions on Numeracy Literacy to be encouraged to be able to compile independently and apply in preparing evaluation questions to students.
