Abstract

Satellite Technology Center – LAPAN would develop a constellation of 9 communication satellites in a low equatorial orbit. These satellites would perform as data collection platforms for many sensors that spread across the Indonesian territory. The data from the sensors will be downlink to Indonesia’s ground stations in real-time. This research aims to analyze the power budget of those satellites to decide how many solar panels and batteries are required to perform their mission. The method in this research began by calculating the power requirements of each mission per orbit period to estimate power consumption and calculate the power generated by the solar panels. The results of these calculations will be implemented to the power system design to find the satellite solar cells/ panels arrangement and battery capacity allocation. To minimize the development time and cost, the solar array design in this study considers the utilization of previous solar panel design of LAPAN-A series satellites as a design constraint. This study shows the configuration of 3 body-mounted solar panels and 2 deployable solar panels could support the mission operation of communication satellite in the low equatorial orbit. For energy storage, these satellites should be equipped with 28 V Li-ion in the 8Sx3P configuration.

Abstract

Honeycomb sandwich structures are widely used in space applications due to their exceptional performance. Extensive research has been conducted on the response of honeycomb structures to various external loads. The out-of-plane strength, including compression and tensile properties, is a critical aspect of honeycomb structures. Despite some experimental and numerical studies, research specifically addressing the tensile direction, such as flatwise tensile testing in honeycombs, remains limited. This testing focuses on the bond strength between the face sheets and the honeycomb core, as well as the tensile strength of the core itself. Utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) has proven effective for characterizing honeycomb structures under various load conditions. However, the complex geometry of the core requires an enormous number of elements, increasing computation times. Thus, simplifying the model by replacing the hexagonal geometry with a homogenized solid layer with effective material properties is necessary. This study focuses on flatwise tensile testing of aluminum honeycomb using different modeling approaches: discrete, continuum, and equivalent plate models. The discrete model serves as the reference due to its detailed structural representation. The continuum-Gibson model, while reasonably accurate in stress estimation, tends to overestimate displacement. Both equivalent models, Hoff and Reissner, significantly overestimate displacement, with Hoff underestimating stress and Reissner overestimating it. In contrast, equivalent models offer insights, but their accuracy varies, necessitating further calibration for precise predictions. Future research should validate these simulation results with real tests.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of positive attitude (X1), social support (X2), and ease of form completion (X3) on Patient Safety Incident (PSI) reporting behavior (Y), with reporting intention (Z) as a mediating variable. Using a causal associative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected through questionnaires from 150 inpatient nurses selected via purposive sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to examine variable relationships. Key findings reveal: (1) positive attitude, social support, and ease of form completion significantly affect both reporting intention and PSI reporting behavior; (2) reporting intention partially mediates the relationship between the three independent variables and reporting behavior; (3) social support and ease of form completion exhibit the strongest direct effects on reporting behavior. The study highlights that strengthening patient safety culture requires integrating psychological (attitude), social (support), and technical (system usability) factors. Practical implications suggest hospital management should develop policies fostering positive attitudes through training, enhance social support via team collaboration, and streamline technology-based PSI reporting systems. These measures are expected to improve reporting transparency and accuracy, ultimately advancing patient safety service quality.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Experiential marketing has become a growing trend in promotional activities by emphasizing personalization and active customer involvement. Preliminary observations indicate a decline in outpatient visits among patients with general insurance and non-JKN coverage in 2023, which may be influenced by a decrease in their intention to use outpatient services. This condition highlights the need for hospitals to implement experiential marketing strategies to enhance patient interest and experience. Objective: This study aims to empirically examine the influence of patient experience and service perception on the intention to use outpatient services, with Strategic Experiential Modules (SEMs) as an intervening variable. Methods: This quantitative research employs a causal design involving outpatient service users as the population. A non-probability sampling technique was used, yielding 249 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software. Results: The findings reveal that patient experience and service perception simultaneously have a significant positive influence on the intention to use outpatient services through SEMs. Service perception directly shows a significant positive effect on both SEMs and intention to use outpatient services, while SEMs also significantly enhance usage intention. Service perception emerges as the dominant variable in increasing SEMs and usage intention, whereas patient experience has the weakest effect. Conclusion: Patient experience and service perception collectively influence the intention to use outpatient services with SEMs as an intervening variable. Strengthening Customer Relationship Management is essential by improving human resources and optimizing service asset.

Abstract

Introduction: Neurosurgical services in Class B hospitals present a high level of complexity due to limitations in technology, facilities, and human resources. This study aims to explore the subjective experiences of neurosurgical medical teams, comprising neurosurgeons, nurses, anesthetists, medical equipment technicians, and operating room managers, in interpreting their roles, confronting challenges, and developing adaptive strategies to support excellent healthcare services at a Class B hospital. Methods: Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically following Colaizzi’s method. Results: The findings indicate that service excellence in neurosurgical care within a resource-limited hospital is maintained through the dynamic interaction between professional meaning-making, persistent multidimensional challenges, and adaptive resilience strategies. While individual and team-level adaptations effectively sustain daily performance, limited systemic support poses challenges to long-term sustainability. Conclusion: Overall, the study highlights that the success of excellent neurosurgical services in Class B hospitals depends more on personal resilience and team cohesion than on systemic support alone. Recommendation: It recommends systemic improvements in management, human resource policies, integrated communication systems, and sustainable psychosocial support to ensure the continuity of high-quality services amid structural limitations
