Abstract

ABSTRAK The purpose of the study was to analyze efforts to improve the quality of life of patients with HIV through the Hospice Care Program in Buleleng District. This research design is Quasy Experiment with Pretest and posttest approach with control group design. The study population was HIV / AIDS patients in the work area of Buleleng Kec. with a total of 90 patients. The sample in the study was taken by random sampling technique as many as 42 respondents for the experimental group and 42 respondents for the control group. data collected by questionnaire instrument and tested by paired t test. The results showed that there was an increase in the mean value in the experimental group of 29.976 so that these results were greater than the increase in the mean value in the control group = 23.167 so this shows that the Hospice care program is more effective in reducing the quality of life of respondents in Buleleng District. The paired t test results show the significance value of both groups ρ = 0.000 < α = 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an improvement in the quality of life of PLWHA patients through the Hospice Care Program. The hospice care program is implemented by focusing more on patient psychological services so that the patient’s quality of life can improve.

Abstract

Infant mortality rate is one of the important indicators of public health. Efforts to reduce infant mortality have been made by the government from year to year. So the assessment of the effectiveness of these activities is interesting to explore. The method used to write this article is a systematic review, which is limited to searching the literature for the last 5 years (2018-2023). Search results for articles that match the keyword obtained 126 articles. However, after further searching, 8 articles were obtained that fit the inclusion criteria and themes to be discussed. The results of the study explain that not all programs are running well. So that coordinative efforts between various sectors are needed in order to achieve the IMR reduction target as planned. Efforts have not been implemented optimally, the effectiveness of programs implemented across programs and across sectors is able to reduce infant mortality in Indonesia little by little. Local governments are expected to make coordinated efforts involving all service sectors and community organizations to participate in the success of the program and improve the achievement of the work program that has been planned every year.

The research design used a literature review conducted on a data base including Google Schoolar, PubMed, and Spinger. Article analysis found 16,776 but only 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The results of journal analysis showed that for each of the 10 articles, it was found that in 7 articles there was a relationship between family support and adherence to taking medication in leprosy patients. In addition, the other 4 articles said that the family plays an important role in providing support, encouragement, and motivation for family members who have leprosy to adhere to treatment. Abstract

Introduction: Health Care Associated Infections (HAIs) often occur in hospitals. Infections classified as HAIs are surgical site infections. Compliance with wound care according to SPO, application of SSI budles and SC patient factors, namely: age, blood sugar levels and albumin levels contribute to the incidence of surgical site infections. This study aims to explain the relationship between SPO adherence to wound care, application of bundles surgical site infection, and patient factors with the incidence of SSI in sectio caesarea patients. Methods: This study uses a literature review. Search strategy on ProQuest, Google Scholar, PubMed. The journal reviewed is research on the relationship between SPO compliance with wound care, application of bundles surgical site infection, and patient factors with the incidence of SSI in cesarean section patients published in 2016-2023. Journals that did not meet the inclusion criteria were excluded, so that 5 journals were reviewed. Results: there is a relationship between adherence to SPO wound care, application of bundles surgical site infection, age, blood sugar levels, and albumin levels of SC patients to the incidence of SSI. Discussion: Research recommends that nurses adhere to SPO and implement SSI bundles strictly in a compliant manner, as well as monitoring patient factors, such as: age, blood sugar levels, patient albumin levels are very important in preventing infection in the operating area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of counseling therapy on the level of depression in patients at the Mekarsari Community Health Center as measured by the MINI Form (Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview). This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research conducted using patient data based on MINI results, with a sample of 43 for the intervention group and 37 patients for the control group. The research results show that there is strong evidence showing the effectiveness of counseling therapy in reducing levels of depression. Based on research results, patients who were given counseling therapy experienced a decrease in depression levels, while the control group who were not given counseling experienced an increase in depression levels in patients in the Mekar Sari Health Center working area. The conclusion is that counseling therapy using MINI is effective in reducing the level of depression in respondents, as can be seen from the significant reduction in MINI scores after the intervention. Test results in the control group also showed a significant impact. These findings confirm the positive contribution of counseling therapy in overcoming depression, with statistical effects in both groups. Keywords: Counseling Therapy, SRQ, MINI.

Abstract

The implementation of medical records in hospitals can support the improvement of service quality through a fast and accurate documentation, so that the information produced is more effective and efficient. At Airlangga University Hospital, one of indicators of service that hadn’t been achieved was incompleteness of filling and returning medical record that exceeded 2x24 hours after service. The aim of the study was to analyze the implementation of filling and returning medical record for inpatients at Airlangga University Hospital. The research design was qualitative, using in-depth interview techniques with 30 main informants from doctors and nurses and 5 triangulation informants from assembling monitoring and medical record distribution officers. The results of the study illustrated that the implementation of filling and returning medical record was still lacking. In the input component, the doctor's activity and the number of items in the medical record caused incomplete filling. There was no reward and punishment policy from the hospital. In the process component, the incomplete medical records were found and the return of medical record wasn’t timely. In the output component, the most unfilled medical record forms were 58% informed consent and 33% doctor's signature. It was recommended that the hospital hold workshop about medical records and make policies related to reward and punishment.
