Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Muhadharah program on students’ public speaking skills at the Islamic Centre Al-Quds, West Sumatra. The topic highlights the importance of mastering oral communication skills for da’wah, academics, and career development, alongside the need to evaluate the program’s effectiveness. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected from 22 active participants through a Likert-scale questionnaire and evaluation records. Data analysis employed Pearson correlation and simple linear regression. Results showed a positive and significant relationship between the Muhadharah program and students’ public speaking skills (r = 0.603; p = 0.003), with the program contributing 36.4% to skill improvement. These findings confirm that Muhadharah, as a practice-based training program, is effective in enhancing students’ communication abilities within Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajar menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). Prosedur kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah prosedur Polya sebagai pedoman dan untuk mengidentifikasi alasan di balik kesalahan mereka. Memahami permasalahan, membuat strategi penyelesaian, melaksanakannya, dan kemudian melakukan pengecekan ulang merupakan langkah-langkah dalam proses penyelesaian masalah Polya. Enam partisipan dari 22 siswa kelas VII di SMPN 2 Simpang Kiri dipekerjakan dalam penelitian ini. Tes dan wawancara digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, (1) banyak siswa yang tidak kesulitan memahami permasalahan pada tahap ini karena mereka sudah mengetahuinya; dan (2) beberapa siswa, ketika membuat rencana solusi, mengetahui bagaimana mereka akan menggunakannya untuk memecahkan masalah tetapi tidak menuliskannya, (3) seluruh siswa mampu menjawab soal secara akurat dan baik saat melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, dan (4) sebagian siswa tidak dapat melanjutkan ke tahap memeriksa kembali karena lalai mencatat kesimpulan yang diambil dari pekerjaannya. ABSTRACT  The aim of this research is to test the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught using Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) based teaching materials. The problem solving ability procedure used in this research is the Polya procedure as a guide and to identify the reasons behind their mistakes. Understanding the problem, creating a resolution strategy, implementing it, and then re-checking are the steps in the Polya problem solving process. Six participants from 22 class VII students at SMPN 2 Simpang Kiri were employed in this research. Tests and interviews were used in the data collection process. Based on the research results, (1) many students have no difficulty understanding the problem at this stage because they already know it; and (2) some students, when making a solution plan, knew how they would use it to solve the problem but did not write it down, (3) all students were able to answer the problem accurately and well when carrying out the solution plan, and (4) some students were unable to continue to the re-examination stage because he neglected to record the conclusions drawn from his work.

Abstract

Perkembangan ikan hias di Indonesia, khususnya di Aceh sangat menggeliat dan terus meningkat, terutama ikan hias koi. Warna merupakan salah satu parameter dalam penentuan nilai ikan koi. Perubahan warna yang sering terjadi adalah karena adanya perubahan jumlah pigmen. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kandungan pigmen dalam pakan. Faktor makanan atau pakan memiliki pengaruh dalam pembentukan warna ikan hias, oleh sebab itu perlu diberikan pakan yang dapat mendukung penampakan warna tersebut. Selama ini Jino koi farm memberikan makanan sebagai nutrisi ikan koi budidayanya berupa pellet yang umum digunakan sebagai pakan ikan. Jino Koi Farm mempunyai keinginan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pakan pellet dengan harga yang terjangkau, yaitu dengan menambahkan kandungan protein dan pigmen pembentuk warna ikan koi. Namun keinginan tersebut terkendala oleh sulit dan lamanya waktu pengadukan, serta hasil yang belum tentu seragam atau teraduk merata. Oleh karenanya, dalam rangka membantu UKM sekaligus sebagai dharma bakti insan perguruan tinggi Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe kepada masyarakat sekitar lingkungannya dilaksanakan kegiatan PKM pembuatan alat feed mixer untuk meningkatkan kualitas pakan budidaya ikan. Kegitan tersebut telah diawali dengan desain awal alat feed mixer untuk kapasitas 15 kg pada putaran 24 rpm pada saat proposal ini diusulkan, lebih lanjut akan dilakukan analisa desain dan teknis, pengadaan material kontruksi; motor penggerak, komponen utama dan pendukungnya, proses manufaktur, pengujian fungsional dan pemanfaatan alat feed mixer oleh Jino Koi Farm. Hasil yang diperoleh terbuatnya alat feed mixer yang digunakan oleh mitra dalam kegiatan produksi pakan yang berkualitas tinggi. Hasil lain yaitu adanya video dokumentasi kegiatan, dan artikel pada seminar nasional.

Abstract

The community service activity was initiated by the Accounting Department's PPM team after coordinating with the head of the PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment Program) team in the Kapuas sub-district of Sanggau Regency in August 2023. The coordination and survey results with the head of the PKK team revealed that there had been no previous involvement of the Community Service (PPM) team from the Accounting D-3 Study Program at the PSDKU POLNEP Campus in Sanggau Regency, providing financial report training to the PKK group in the Kapuas sub-district of Sanggau Regency. The PKK group also demonstrated a lack of understanding in the field of accounting and financial reporting. Their level of understanding regarding accounting and financial reports was low, making it difficult for village and neighborhood leaders to compile and explain these financial reports. The solution proposed by the Accounting Department's PPM team to address the issues faced by their partners was to conduct financial report training for the PKK group in the Kapuas sub-district of Sanggau Regency. Through this training, the PKK group would be equipped with knowledge and skills in accounting and financial reporting, particularly in the preparation of financial reports. After identifying the partner's problems, the Accounting Department's PPM team prepared a module for financial report preparation, conducted the training, provided assistance, evaluated the process, and prepared activity implementation reports in the form of a proposal, progress report, and final PPM report. This training took place on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Kapuas sub-district office hall in Sanggau Regency, with 62 participants from the PKK groups. The training activity went smoothly and was executed as intended, starting at 8:00 AM until completion. Consequently, this training could assist the PKK groups in enhancing their understanding of accounting record-keeping and the accounting processes in preparing financial reports. This activity resulted in mandatory outputs published in an article in the Pontianak Post newspaper on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Keywords: Accounting, Financial Reporting, PKK Group

Abstract

The research is motivated by the increasing number of students arriving late to school, particularly in the memorization program of short surahs from the Al-Qur'an, which is a strategy used by teachers to enhance student discipline. The aim of this study is to explore education that shapes character and discipline among students at SMA Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti, Indonesia, with an emphasis on the memorization program of short surahs from the Al-Qur'an. Through this program, it is hoped that students who are late can hone their knowledge not only in intellectual aspects but also in the spiritual field. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, involving the principal, teachers, and students as participants. This study employs a case study approach and applies literature review methods, observation, interviews, and documentation, which are then analyzed to draw conclusions. The results indicate that: 1) The level of discipline at the school is already good, supported by the Al-Qur'an memorization program conducted daily; 2) The strategies implemented by teachers to enhance student discipline, particularly for those arriving late, include direct interaction and the obligation to memorize surahs before entering the classroom; 3) This study also identifies the factors that support and hinder the implementation of these strategies, both from internal and external factors. The main conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of teacher strategies in improving student discipline through the memorization program of short surahs from the Al-Qur'an for late students. This approach not only sharpens intellectual abilities but also spiritual ones, within the discipline system to promote behavioral change in students and create a better learning environment. The implications of this research indicate that students participating in the memorization program of short surahs from the Al-Qur'an not only improve their discipline but can also use this program as a tool to build character and spirituality. Furthermore, the approach used by teachers to address student tardiness can serve as an example for other schools in creating a more disciplined learning environment and supporting the overall development of students.

Abstract

Moral education plays an important role in life to realize the personality and noble character of each individual. Without good morals, a person can harm themselves and others. The emergence of the animation Nussa and Rara is regarded as providing good education for children. This study used content analysis methods to obtain data regarding the values of moral education for children, specifically morals towards Allah Swt. and morals towards oneself, using the episode “Kamu… Antta” as a sample. The instrument in this study is the human instrument, and data collection techniques were carried out through coding sheets and literature studies. The data analysis techniques used include filling in the coding sheets according to the established measuring tools, validity testing, and organizing data into units of analysis so that it can be categorized and interpreted to draw conclusions from the research. The results of the study indicate that in the animation Nussa and Rara, there are values of moral education towards Allah Swt. and morals towards oneself.

Abstract

Indonesia ranks second in Asia Pacific in the list of the highest number of deaths due to natural disasters. In a year, more than 300 flood events occur, resulting in large losses, environmental damage and even loss of life. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to design a tool for monitoring water levels and rainfall. This research aims to design a flood detection system using the fuzzy method and using a float switch water level sensor. The results of the research show that this system can monitor water levels and rainfall using a web server. In the first test, it produces a fuzzy warning level in a safe condition. In the second test, the water level reached 51 cm with rainfall of 0.47 mm, and the fuzzy warning level was in a safe condition. Finally, in the third test, the average water level reached 99 cm with rainfall of 0.69 mm, resulting in a fuzzy warning level in an alert state. It can be concluded that this system needs to be improved in quality by adding items to the system.

Abstract

This financial planning training service program for students at the Bustanul Mansuriyah Islamic Boarding School aims to share knowledge and practical training in management knowledge in preparing monthly budgets and provide insight into the urgency of professional financial planning management to raise awareness of better personal financial management for students in Islamic boarding schools. Bustanul Mansuriyah Islamic Boarding School. The method applied to this service activity is the method of direct material decomposition as well as simulations and dialogues regarding management, financial management and intensive assistance in personal financial planning with a problem solving approach that has an impact on the welfare of students. The result of this community service is mentoring in proportional financial planning management and data obtained on average students have the ability to prepare personal financial planning well.

Abstract

The study addressed the gap in understanding how local wisdom and religious moderation are integrated into regional regulations in West Sumatra, a region with rich customary and religious traditions but ranked low on the national tolerance index. Despite having a strong philosophical foundation in Adat Basandi Syara’, Syara’ Basandi Kitabullah, current legal instruments may not adequately reflect these values to foster a tolerant and inclusive society. The study aimed to examine the portrait of regional regulations on public order and public tranquility in West Sumatra from 2009 to 2023, to realize a tolerant and inclusive society. The method used an empirical legal research with a socio-legal approach drawn from primary data in West Sumatra. The findings showed that the Regional Regulations (Perda) in West Sumatra have not yet embodied the principles of public order and social tranquility based on tolerance and inclusivity. Of the 634 Perdas analyzed from 2009 to 2023, only 2.2% addressed issues related to public order. Moreover, they narrowly focused on nuisance permits, alcoholic beverage control, and public morality. Therefore, this indicated a significant gap in incorporating local wisdom and religious values rooted in the Minangkabau philosophy of Adat Basandi Syara', Syara' Basandi Kitabullah, into regulatory frameworks that promote harmony in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

Proses perizinan angkutan sungai di Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi Jambi masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga layanan berjalan lambat, rentan kesalahan, dan sulit dipantau. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang antarmuka (UI) dan pengalaman pengguna (UX) sistem perizinan digital menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD). UCD digunakan agar desain sesuai kebutuhan pengguna melalui tahapan memahami konteks penggunaan, menetapkan kebutuhan pengguna, merancang solusi, dan mengevaluasi desain. Prototype dikembangkan menggunakan Figma dan dievaluasi dengan Maze Testing dan User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan skor usability Maze sebesar 80 (agen), 84 (admin), dan 90 (verifikator). Hasil UEQ menunjukkan kategori Excellent pada lima dimensi dan Good pada dimensi Novelty. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa desain UI/UX berhasil memberikan pengalaman penggunaan yang efektif, jelas, dan mudah dipahami oleh pengguna.
