Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vegetable pesticides from virginia tobacco stem waste on the diversity of the koksi beetle predators on potato plants. The method used is an experimental method with direct experiments in the field. The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RAK) with 6 treatments, namely P0 (control), P1 (abamectin), P2 (vegetable insecticide of Virginia tobacco stem waste 2 ml/l), P3 (vegetable insecticide of Virginia tobacco stem waste 4 ml/l). l), P4 (vegetable insecticide of Virginia tobacco stem waste 6 ml/l), and P5 (vegetable insecticide of Virginia tobacco stem waste 8 ml/l). This research was conducted in Sembalun Bumbung Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara from August 2020 to November 2020. The results showed that treatment at the concentration of P5 (vegetable pesticide from virginia tobacco stem waste 8 ml/l) showed a suppression value. The diversity and abundance index of the predators of the koksi beetle were the most influential compared to the treatment of several concentrations of other vegetable pesticides, while the application of botanical pesticides with various concentrations was not able to suppress the predatory population of the koksi beetle in the species Cheliomenes sexmaculata and Coccinella transveralis and was able to suppress the population of Coleophora inaqualis. Cheilomenes sexmaculata species has the highest population compared to the other 2 species.

Abstract

Augmented Reality sudah banyak diterapkan pada berbagai keperluan bisnis seiring perkembangan teknologi di bidang perangkat mobile. Tujuan penelitian ini menerapkan Augmented Reality pada studi kasus pada promosi penjualan yang dinilai kurang interaktif dan menarik, dengan sistem pengujian berdasarkan  standar ISO 25010 sehingga memudahkan konsumen melihat deskripsi dan contoh property keramik lantai, diperlukan visualisasi (3D) dengan menggunakan teknologi augmented reality. Pengembangan Aplikasi Augmented Reality (AR) ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan lanjutan model pengembangan air terjun dari (waterfall). Pengujian melibatkan karakteristik seperti Functional Suitability, Compatibility, Performance Efficiency, dan Usability. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini berhasil memenuhi standar kualitas ISO 25010, dengan functional suitability dan compatibility mencapai persentase 100%, serta kinerja performance efficiency dengan waktu respon rata-rata sebesar 0,75 detik, dan untuk tingkat usability dalam Aplikasi Android yang dikembangkan memiliki nilai usability yang mudah dalam aspek-aspek Learnability, Efficiency, Memorability, Errors, dan Satisfaction

Abstract

Sembalun Bumbung Agro-Tourism, a renowned destination on Lombok Island, is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty and its agricultural tourism, attracting local, national, and international visitors. Demographically, the population of Sembalun Bumbung, especially among the younger generation (millennials), is increasing. This demographic shift brings various impacts, including changes in dietary habits and agricultural activities, particularly in relation to food diversification. Therefore, it is crucial to educate the millennial community in the Sembalun Bumbung Agro-Tourism area about healthy eating patterns based on food diversification. The objectives of this initiative are: 1) To implement a balanced nutrition plan through a safe and healthy diet, and 2) To promote the daily consumption of foods rich in carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals in appropriate portions and schedules. Through these educational activities, it is anticipated that the knowledge of the community, especially among millennials, regarding healthy eating patterns will improve. Consequently, they will become agents of change in their village, fostering a habit of consuming a diverse range of local foods to enhance the overall health of the local community

Abstract

The millennial generation, a growing segment of Indonesia's youth, is expected to play a crucial role in the nation's future development. Thus, it is imperative to adequately prepare this resource, particularly by enhancing the quality of their education and health. Knowledge and understanding of health, especially nutrition, are critical for this group as it directly impacts their cognitive abilities. However, many young people still lack awareness of balanced nutrition, leading to various health. To address this, an educational outreach on the importance of balanced nutrition was conducted for the millennial farmer group in Kabul Village. The goal was to equip the youth with knowledge about balanced nutrition, influencing their eating habits and dietary patterns in the target village. The outreach employed educational methods, including material presentations by the team, interactive discussions, and summarizing the discussion outcomes. Monitoring results during the outreach indicated high participant interest, evidenced by numerous questions, particularly regarding parental roles in ensuring balanced nutrition for adolescent family members. Young participants highlighted the challenge of avoiding unhealthy snacks due to the proliferation of culinary trends and social media influences, often leading them to try foods without considering their nutritional value. The balanced nutrition education initiative aims to benefit both millennials and the older generation. Consequently, it is hoped that parents will emphasize balanced nutrition messages to their children within their families.

Abstract

Philosophy and science are human efforts to understand the concepts and methods of a scientific discipline. Changing times and developments have ushered in a philosophy of configuration by showing how the "tree of knowledge" thrives and branches out from the respective disciplines. This study aims to examine philosophy and science and their relevance in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. This research method uses the hermeneutic method in explaining the reality that occurs with elements of interpretation and description. The results of the research can be described that the study of the relationship between philosophy and science has developed so rapidly. Philosophy and science are indispensable in the development of science and technology which is marked by sharpening of scientific specialization, because by studying philosophy scientists are expected to be aware of its limitations so as not to get caught up in intellectual arrogance. It is impossible to fight against the discourse on the development of science and technology, but rather to reduce the negative impact of technology itself. In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0, community groups are heterogeneous, so that very complex problems arise related to technological developments and can change the mindset of human life to patterns of life that are more sophisticated with the power of technology. like robots and the internet. Thus, science which is used as an axiological milestone in directing and controlling the development of science and technology in a positive way for the benefit of humanity and its environment is philosophy and science.

Abstract

Kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) merupakan komoditas hortikultura penting di Sembalun, Lombok Timur, namun produktivitasnya sering terkendala oleh hama thrips Thrips sp. yang juga berperan sebagai vektor virus. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi populasi Thrips sp., intensitas gejala virus, kerapatan trikoma, serta hasil pada tiga varietas kentang, yaitu Granola, Chitra, dan Titan. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nyata antar varietas. Varietas Chitra memiliki populasi Thrips sp. tertinggi (9,83 individu/minggu) dengan intensitas serangan 3,38%/minggu, diikuti Granola (8,23 individu/minggu; 3,08%/minggu), sedangkan Titan terendah (5,54 individu/minggu; 2,34%/minggu). Gejala virus Potato Virus Y hanya ditemukan pada Chitra dengan intensitas 0,41%. Perbedaan serangan berkorelasi dengan kerapatan trikoma, di mana Titan memiliki trikoma paling padat (10,83/cm²) dibandingkan Chitra (7,41/cm²) dan Granola (6,30/cm²). Hasil jumlah umbi, berat, dan produktivitas juga berbeda nyata, varietas Titan menghasilkan jumlah dan berat umbi tertinggi (6,15 umbi/tanaman; 1.233 g/tanaman) dengan produktivitas 65,78 ton/ha. Chitra menghasilkan 5,23 umbi/tanaman (977 g/tanaman; 52,09 ton/ha), sedangkan Granola terendah (4,04 umbi/tanaman; 473 g/tanaman; 12,70 ton/ha). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa varietas Titan lebih toleran terhadap serangan thrips dan infeksi virus, sehingga berpotensi menjadi varietas unggul untuk mendukung budidaya kentang berkelanjutan di Sembalun melalui strategi pengendalian hama terpadu.

Abstract

The bekeeping of stingless bees is gaining popularity and developing in West Nusa Tenggara, as it provides an alternative livelihood and plays a vital role in the ecosystem through pollination. Despite growing public interest, detailed data on the diversity of stingless bee species and the challenges farmers face, particularly pest and disease infestations, remain scarce in some areas, such as Central Lombok. The aim of this study was to identify the bred species of stingless bees and the pest and disease species found in bee colonies in Rarung Village. The research was conducted from Juni to September 2024. The research methodology included field surveys, interviews with 4 farmers using snowball sampling techniques. In each farmers, we collected stingless bee and their pests from 10 stup and preserved in alcohol 70%. Morphological identification of bee species and pests was done in Plant Protection Laboratory, University of Mataram . The results showed that four species of stingless bees were being bred in Rarung Village: Tetragonula laeviceps, Tetragonula biroi, Tetragonula clypearis, and Tetragonula sapiens. Other major identified pests included ants (Formicidae), geckos (Gekkonidae), wasps (Vespidae), and signs of fungal pathogens. The results of this study show that bee species from outside Lombok were found in Rarung village that indicate thespecies diversity was affected by the practice of introducing species from outside Lombok.

Abstract

Pengemasan dan transportasi buah segar menghadapi tantangan ganda: tingginya kerugian pascapanen (40-50%) dan dampak lingkungan dari kemasan plastik konvensional. Kajian literatur ini mengeksplorasi solusi inovatif dengan menganalisis pemanfaatan gulma air (seperti eceng gondok) dan limbah pertanian (seperti kulit pisang dan ampas tebu) sebagai bahan baku kemasan berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan filsafat ilmu. Secara ontologis, hakikat limbah diubah dari bahan tak berguna menjadi sumber daya bernilai yang kaya biopolimer seperti selulosa dan pektin. Validasi epistemologis dilakukan melalui metode empiris, termasuk sintesis material (misalnya, hidrogel dari eceng gondok), pengujian kinerja mekanis, dan Analisis Siklus Hidup (LCA). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa material berbasis limbah ini menawarkan kinerja perlindungan yang kompetitif—terbukti mampu mengurangi kehilangan berat, mempertahankan kekerasan, dan meningkatkan retensi warna pada buah selama transportasi. Keunggulan utamanya terletak pada sifat biodegradable, yang dikonfirmasi melalui pengujian penguburan tanah dimana material mengalami pengurangan massa signifikan. Secara aksiologis, inovasi ini memberikan nilai keberlanjutan yang luas. Dengan mendukung ekonomi sirkular, mengurangi polusi plastik, dan meminimalkan kerugian pascapanen, pendekatan ini sejalan dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDG) 12. Disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan limbah untuk kemasan buah tidak hanya layak secara teknis, tetapi juga memiliki landasan filosofis yang kuat untuk menciptakan sistem transportasi buah yang lebih berkelanjutan dan bertanggung jawab secara lingkungan.

Abstract

Agroforestry as a sustainable land use system not only represents ecological practices but also reflects the worldview and values of local communities. This study aims to explore agroforestry practices in the Wanagiri social forestry area/HKm in Sumbawa Regency from an ontological perspective, by examining the community's view of the relationship between humans, plants, and the environment. Qualitative methods were used through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with farmers and traditional leaders. The results of the study indicate that agroforestry practices in the Wanagiri social forestry/HKm area in Sumbawa Regency are rooted in the local knowledge system of the Balinese community, which has been passed down from their region of origin. The Balinese ethnic group in the Wanagiri social forestry area/HKm are migrants from Karangasem who arrived in 1985 through a transmigration program. In managing the forest in the Wanagiri social forestry area/HKm, the Balinese community emphasizes harmony between humans and nature. The ontological perspective of the local community reflects a strong relationality, where trees and land are not merely seen as resources but as integral parts of social and spiritual life. This finding indicates the importance of considering ontological frameworks in the development of sustainable and contextual agroforestry policies.

Abstract

Agroforestri di kawasan Tambora umumnya dipahami sebagai sistem produksi dan konservasi, sementara dimensi ontologis relasi manusia–tanaman–ekosistem masih jarang dikaji secara eksplisit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisi celah tersebut dengan menganalisis agroforestri Tambora melalui perspektif ontologi relasional, sehingga agroforestri dipahami sebagai sistem sosio-ekologis yang ko-konstitutif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan literatur kualitatif dengan kerangka analisis tematik, berdasarkan artikel ilmiah internasional dan nasional bereputasi yang diseleksi secara sistematis dari basis data Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, dan Taylor & Francis.Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa agroforestri Tambora membentuk relasi timbal balik antara manusia, tanaman, dan ekosistem vulkanik yang tidak dapat dipisahkan secara sektoral. Pada dimensi sosial-budaya, tanaman berfungsi sebagai medium transmisi pengetahuan dan identitas masyarakat; pada dimensi ekologis, keanekaragaman spesies dan struktur vegetasi multistrata meningkatkan resiliensi lanskap; pada dimensi ekonomi, diversifikasi tanaman memperkuat ketahanan mata pencaharian; sementara pada dimensi ontologis, agroforestri dipahami sebagai ruang keberadaan bersama (co-being), di mana manusia dan alam saling membentuk. Novelty penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi eksplisit pendekatan ontologi relasional dalam kajian agroforestri berbasis konteks lokal Tambora, yang melampaui analisis teknis-ekonomis konvensional. Kajian ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual bagi pengembangan studi agroforestri dan menjadi dasar alternatif bagi perumusan kebijakan dan pengelolaan lanskap berkelanjutan yang lebih kontekstual. This study aims to address this gap by analyzing Tambora agroforestry through the lens of relational ontology, so that agroforestry is understood as a co-constitutive socio-ecological system. The study employs a qualitative literature review with a thematic analysis framework, based on reputable international and national scholarly articles that were systematically selected from Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and Taylor & Francis. The synthesis indicates that Tambora agroforestry forms reciprocal relations among humans, plants, and volcanic ecosystems that cannot be separated into sectoral domains. In the socio-cultural dimension, plants function as media for the transmission of knowledge and community identity; in the ecological dimension, species diversity and multi-strata vegetation structure enhance landscape resilience; in the economic dimension, crop diversification strengthens livelihood security; while in the ontological dimension, agroforestry is understood as a space of co-being, in which humans and nature mutually constitute one another. The novelty of this study lies in the explicit integration of a relational ontology approach into agroforestry research grounded in the local Tambora context, moving beyond conventional technical-economic analyses. This review offers a conceptual contribution to the development of agroforestry studies and provides an alternative foundation for policymaking and sustainable landscape management that is more context-sensitive.
