Abstract

Formalin is a hazardous substance that is often misused as a food preservative, so routine formalin analysis is very necessary for public safety. Formalin analysis generally uses spectrophotometry and also a simple colorimeter. Currently, many Arduino-based colorimeters are being studied and development with RGB (Red, Green, Blue) LED (Light Emitting Diode) light sources. This research is also in this field with a focus on the use of multi-spectral RGB LED lights with 16 colors that are already commercially available. The multispectral colorimeter is designed by integrating an LED light source, a photodiode module as a detector, and controlled by an Arduino Uno R3. The LED light module circuit, cuvette and detector photodiode are then arranged and packaged in an X8 project box. Optimization of the circuit is studied including the distance between the LED lamp and the cuvette and the photodiode with the cuvette. A feasibility study of the use of multispectral RGB LEDs is also carried out by looking at the stability of the response of each color. The performance test of the multispectral colorimeter is carried out by analyzing formaldehyde oxidized with hydrogen peroxide using methyl red as an indicator under the alkaline condition. The results showed no significant difference when viewed from the linearity, Limit of Detection, Limit of Quantitation, sensitivity, and precision values calculated from the calibration curve. The difference in linearity values was 0.0013, Limit of Detection = 0.17, Limit of Quantitation = 0.57, sensitivity = 0.0001, and precision (SD = 0.001 and %RSD = 0.11).

Abstract

TBI patients with decreased consciousness will experience decreased sensory and stimulus perception as a result of prolonged hospitalization, immobilization, and social isolation. Therefore, sensory stimulation is needed to increase patient awareness. This study aimed to determine the effects of family-centered auditory and tactile sensory stimulation in patients with TBI. A case study was used to describe the intervention in this study. The study sample was an adult patients with TBI admitted to the intensive care unit. The trained family members provided auditory and tactile sensory stimulation once daily for 1 week. Two instruments were used for data collection, the “Glasgow Coma Scale” and the “Fall Outline of Unresponsiveness Score” to assess the patient’s level of consciousness (LOC). The results showed that implementing organized auditory and tactile sensory stimulation by trained family members was increased the average GCS and FOUR score. Patients in this study showed an increase in LOC with a GCS score of 8-14 and FOUR score of 9-14 on 7 days of intervention. Thus, auditory and tactile sensory stimulation by trained family members enhanced the consciousness of patients with trauma-induced brain injury. This method is recommended for patients with traumatic brain injury.

Abstract

The increasing demand for chicken meat consumption every year drives farmers to optimize the production performance of broiler chickens. The administration of probiotics has become one solution to maximize production. Probiotics are live microorganisms that enhance digestive efficiency. Prebiotics from milk waste and kefir grain starter are used as media for probiotic production, containing bacteria such as Lactobacillus, Bacillus sp., Pediococcus, Streptococcus, and Saccharomyces. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of performance and income over feed cost (IOFC) from probiotic supplementation during the finisher phase of broiler chickens. The research method uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications: P0 (without probiotics), P1 (3% probiotics), P2 (5% probiotics), and P3 (7% probiotics). Probiotics were administered in the broilers' drinking water from evening until morning. Statistical testing employed One Way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that the best probiotic dose was P3 (7% probiotics), with 0% mortality, an average feed consumption of 152 g/bird/day, final body weight of 2203 g/bird, average daily weight gain of 257 g/bird, an average Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) of 1.467, and an excellent Performance Index (PI) of 354 (>351-400). The 7% probiotic dose in drinking water provided the highest IOFC, amounting to Rp. 10,263 per bird.

Abstract

Kata Kunci:  Perbedaan, Pelayanan, Kepuasan            The difference in the Askes service model after the enactment of the BPJS Law (Social Security Administering Body) no. 24 of 2011, which consists of BPJS Health and BPJS Employment. Especially for the National Health Insurance (JKN) will be held by BPJS Health whose implementation will begin on January 1 2014. Operationally, the implementation of JKN is set out in Government Regulations and Presidential Regulations, including: Government Regulation No. 101 of 2012 concerning Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) ; Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2013 concerning Health Insurance and the JKN Roadmap (National Health Insurance Roadmap). This type of research is normative and uses a conceptual approach, the analysis used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This method was chosen because SEM can explain the relationship between observed variables and latent variables through its indicators. So it can be concluded as follows: Askes participants are easier to get services at the first level or at the advanced level. Basically, BPJS services are tiered from the first level (Puskesmas, clinics, family doctor practices, class D pratama hospitals) after the first level is not resolved, then they are referred to the advanced level (hospital / dr. specialist), except in an emergency situation BPJS participants can come straight to the hospital. For suggestions, such as the Askes service so far, it has been quite good considering that now Askes has changed to BPJS, the services that have been received by Askes participants to continue according to the existing procedures can be maintained. Keywords: Difference, Service, Satisfaction
