Abstract

This study aims to analyze the acute response of moderate intensity treadmill exercise to a decrease in MDA levels in obese women. True experiment research method with the randomized control group design posttest-only design using 21 obese women and randomly divided into three groups, namely K1 (n = 7, control without intervention), K2 (n = 7, moderate intensity interval training) and K3 (n = 7, moderate intensity continuous training). The intervention was carried out at 7-10 a.m. Moderate interval training interventions were carried out for 45 minutes, whereas moderate intensity continuous exercises were carried out for 40 minutes. Blood samples were taken 10 minutes after the intervention. MDA levels were measured using the Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive substance (TBARs) method. The results were obtained at K1 (811,286 ±72,539) ng / mL, K2 (615,571 ± 96,855) ng / mL, K3 (658,429 ± 113,934) ng / mL and (p =0.003)

Abstract

Non-adherence is a factor that inhibits the completion of TB cases globally. Some studies suggest that the use of digital technology in the form of text message reminders can reduce the risk of non-adherence. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the effectiveness of text message reminders on adherence to tuberculosis (TB) patients. The method in preparing this Systematic review is based on literature studies from various electronic databases, including Scopus, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and Sage by conducting a comprehensive review using the PRISMA guidelines. The keywords used are "Text Messaging" AND "medication adherence" AND "tuberculosis". There are 11 original articles with 9 articles using the Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) research method and 2 articles using the Quasy-experimental method that fits the inclusion criteria. The use of text message reminder interventions is effective and can be used as an optional method of increasing adherence to TB patients.

Abstract

Obesity is an abnormal accumulation of fat and greatly affects health, physical and cognitive, so it is necessary to do preventive behavior. The purpose of this literature study is to determine how to prevent obesity in adolescents by means of self-efficacy in adolescents. The literature search strategy identified 605 by identifying various articles in the six databases of Scopus, Science Direct, Pubmed, Proquest, Sage, and Cinahl. The most common type of research is a randomized controlled trial. The results showed several general characteristics such as the type of research, the time of evaluation, and the type of research. behaviors that can trust adolescents to do and implement obesity prevention by controlling eating behavior, doing moderate to strong physical activity (MVPA), increasing lifestyle behavior, eating patterns / nutrition, the influence of parents and school. Self-efficacy is very important in the early stages, modification and maintenance of obesity prevention behavior

Abstract

Indonesia is currently experiencing a shift in disease trends, this is marked by an increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The prevalence of these NCDs is also increasingly observed among younger age groups due to rising risk factors such as overweight and obesity. This study aimed to determining the prevalence of the most common diseases and the health profile of the community in Gili Iyang, Sumenep. The samples included in this study were participant in Airlangga Community Hub 2024 in Gili Iyang Island, Sumenep Regency. There were several services in this community development including anthropometry measurement, physical examination and simple lab test. Data was collected and processed using a data processing application, Microsoft Excel. A total of 114 participant were included in this study, hypertension was the most prevalent disease during the community development program 30.1%, followed by hypercholesterolemia as the second most common condition 28.16%, and myalgia as the third leading cause of illness 17.48%. Urgent need for comprehensive health interventions, including routine screening, early management, and targeted health education programs to address the growing burden of NCDs.

Abstract

Latar Belakang:Penyakit periodontal merupakan penyakit kesehatan gigi dan mulut terbanyak urutan kedua di Indonesia. Pencegahan penyakit periodontal untuk menghambat pertumbuhan plak seperti pada bakteri Porphyromonas gingivalis dapat dilakukan secara kimiawi, bahan alami seperti rambut jagung dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pencegahan secara kimiawi karena memiliki sifat antibakteri Metode:Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratoris. Kelompok perlakuan menggunakan ekstrak rambut jagung dengan konsentrasi 25%, 50%, dan 75% yang diperoleh melalui metode maserasi. Kontrol positif menggunakan klorheksidin glukonat 0,2%, dan kontrol negatif berupa akuades. Uji konsentrasi hambat minimum (KHM) dan uji konsentrasi bunuh minimum (KBM) dilakukan menggunakan metode dilusi serta uji daya hambat menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Hasil:Hasil uji KHM pada penelitian ini tidak dapat ditentukan karena terhalang oleh warna ekstrak yang gelap. Hasil uji KBM ditetapkan pada konsentrasi 50%. Hasil uji zona hambat menunjukkan ekstrak rambut jagung konsentrasi 75% memiliki diamater zona hambat yang paling besar namun masih lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan klorheksidin glukonat 0,2%. Kesimpulan:Ekstrak rambut jagung (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) terbukti memiliki daya antibakteri terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Porphyromonas gingivalis.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Lesi endo-perio didefinisikan sebagai komunikasi patologis antara jaringan endodontik dan periodontal. Infeksi pulpa dan nekrosis dapat keluar ke rongga mulut melalui ligamen periodontal sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan ligamen periodontal dan tulang alveolar. Sebaliknya, infeksi poket periodontal dapat menyebar melalui kanal aksesoris ke pulpa sehingga mengakibatkan nekrosis pulpa. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kasus lesi endo-perio tahun 2022 di RSKGM Provinsi Sumatera Selatan berdasarkan usia dan jenis kelamin. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan desain cross-sectional menggunakan data Surveilans Terpadu Penyakit tahun 2022 dari Instalasi Rekam Medik RSKGM Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Data pasien lesi endo-perio dicatat berdasarkan usia dan jenis kelamin. Hasil: Terdapat 552 kasus lesi endo-perio yang terdiri dari abses periapikal dengan sinus (71,01%), abses periapikal tanpa sinus (19,93%), chronic apical periodontitis (4,35%), acute apical periodontitis of pulpal origin (2,72%), dan kista radikular (1,99%). Kasus lesi endo-perio paling banyak ditemukan pada usia 20-44 tahun (46,56%) dan paling sedikit pada usia > 69 tahun (1,81%) dengan jenis kelamin perempuan (61,77%) lebih banyak daripada laki-laki (38,22%). Kesimpulan: Kasus lesi endo-perio yang paling banyak ditemukan di RSKGM Provinsi Sumatera Selatan adalah abses periapikal dengan sinus pada usia 20-44 tahun dan jenis kelamin perempuan.

Abstract

This study examines the relevance and application of John Dewey's educational philosophy in the context of early childhood education in the digital era. Dewey emphasized the importance of experiential learning (learning by doing) and social engagement as integral parts of an effective educational process. In facing the challenges and opportunities presented by technology, this study aims to explore how Dewey's principles can be applied to support the development of young children, particularly in using technology as a learning tool. The research uses a literature review method by analyzing various relevant sources on Dewey’s philosophy, early childhood education, and the integration of technology in education. The results indicate that technology can enrich children's learning experiences if used wisely, ensuring a balance between digital learning and direct exploration involving social interaction and physical activities. The role of teachers and parents in creating a balanced learning environment is crucial, where technology is used to support both individual and collaborative learning. The study also suggests that early childhood education curricula need to be adapted to be more responsive to technological developments and children's needs, integrating Dewey’s principles of direct experience and social involvement. Overall, this research contributes to the development of a more holistic and relevant educational curriculum in response to the challenges of the times, providing guidance for educators and parents in effectively using technology to support early childhood learning.

Abstract

This article aims to find out and analyze the role of law in influencing human behavior in society. The research method uses a normative literature review. The function of law in a community group is to implement a social control mechanism that will clean the community from unwanted community garbage so that the law has a function to maintain the existence of a group. In addition, the function of law in society also gives us an idea that if the function of law in society does not run as it should, it will give rise to an arbitrary government, which in the end the government is no longer limited by law. The government will make itself the law itself. Like a dictatorial system of government. Therefore, the law must be implemented to become a social control in the life of society because the duties and functions of the law are not the goal

Abstract

Teachers as educators in classroom learning have an important role in improving the competence of educators in creating a fun, creative and innovative learning environment. The purpose of this training is to increase understanding and practice ASIK (Active, Scientific, Innovative, and Creative) learning at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. The training method includes theory sessions, hands-on practice, and interactive discussions involving teachers at SMAN 1 Tanjung Raja. This activity involved 31 teachers of SMAN 1 Tanjung Raja. The material presented included an introduction to the concept of ASIK, optimization of technology-based learning, and the application of interactive learning media according to the independent curriculum. The results of this training were evaluated and showed that this training succeeded in increasing teachers' understanding of the concept of creative learning and motivation to apply it in teaching and learning activities. This training is expected to be a model in supporting the improvement of the quality of education at the secondary school level and become an additional material for teachers in improving learning in the classroom.
