Abstract

Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk fosfor dan pupuk organik cair terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang hijau (Vigna radiata L.). Percobaan dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Jawa Barat. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan sembilan perlakuan dan diulang tiga kali yaitu 50 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + O L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 50 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + 4 L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 50 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + 8 L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 75 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + O L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 75 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + 4 L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 75 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + 8 L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 100 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + O L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 100 kg ha-1 pupuk fosfor + 4 L ha-1 pupuk organik cair, 100 kg ha-1pupuk fosfor + 8 L ha-1 pupuk organik cair. Hasil percobaan menun-jukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk fosfor 50 kg dan pupuk organik cair 8 Lha-1  menghasilkan bobot biji per petak sebesar 298,68 gr dan hasil rata-rata per hektar sebesar 0,99 t ha-1. Kata kunci : Kacang hijau ∙ Pupuk fosfor ∙ Pupuk organik cair

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh herbisida kalium glifosat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Jagung toleran herbisida glifosat serta mencari dosis terendah yang dapat digunakan dalam budidaya jagung toleran herbisida. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat dengan ketinggian tempat 750 meter di atas permukaan laut dan ordo tanah Inceptisols, curah hujan rata-rata termasuk tipe C3 menurut Oldeman, dan temperatur udara berkisar antara 22,23˚ - 26,47˚C. Percobaan dilakukan dari bulan Desember 2014 sampai April 2015. Metode percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 8 perlakuan dan diulang  sebanyak tiga kali. Perlakuannya adalah sebagai berikut : Penyiangan manual, perlakuan herbisida kalium glifosat dengan dosis 0,75 L/ha, perlakuan herbisida kalium glifosat dengan dosis 1,125 L/ha, perlakuan herbisida kalium glifosat dengan dosis 1,5 L/ha,  perlakuan herbisida kalium glifosat dengan dosis 1,875 L/ha, perlakuan herbisida kalium glifosat dengan dosis 2,25 L/ha, perlakuan herbisida kalium glifosat dengan dosis 2,625 L/ha, dan perlakuan herbisida kalium glifosat dengan dosis 3 L/ha. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian berbagai dosis herbisida memberikan pengaruh tidak berbeda nyata terhadap komponen pertumbuhan, komponen hasil, dan hasil tanaman. Perlakuan dengan dosis herbisida terendah yaitu 0,75 L/ha memberikan respon dan hasil yang sama dibandingkan dengan perlakuan penyiangan manual dan dosis herbisida lainnya.Kata kunci: Jagung toleran herbisida, herbisida kalium glifosat 600 g/L, pertumbuhan dan hasil

Abstract

Climate change, especially air temperature and rainfall, impacts the agricultural sector, one of which is the reduction of maize production. As an anticipatory effort to reduce maize production due to climate change, a study is needed to identify the possible hazard, vulnerability, and risk of maize yield reduction at the sub-district level in the largest maize-producing center in West Java, Garut Regency. After identifying areas with high or very high levels of potential yield reduction risk, a strategic adaptation that can be applied to deal with climate change can be identified. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data used include temperature, rainfall, planting area, harvest area, production, productivity, and socio-economic data of farmers obtained from LAPAN, BPS, Garut Regency Agriculture Office, and other related sources. The results of the study stated that the areas with a potential risk of production decrease at a very high level (IR ˃0.81) are in Wanaraja and Malangbong sub-districts; high level (IR: 0.61-0.80) are in Cisewu, Pakenjeng, Banyuresmi, and Limbangan. Meanwhile, the potential risk level of maize productivity decrease is very high (IR ˃0.81) in Cisewu, Pamulihan, Banyuresmi, Malangbong, and Limbangan; high (0.61-0.80) in Bungbulang, Singajaya, Cilawu, Bayongbong, Leles, Leuwigoong, Cibiuk, Cibatu, and Selaawi. Adaptation strategy to minimize the potential risk of reduced maize yields can be done by using superior hybrid varieties, managing planting time, water management, minimum tillage, and mixed cropping.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tanaman hanjeli (Coix lacryma-jobi) merupakan salah satu tanaman pangan lokal fungsional yang berpotensi sebagai bahan pangan, pengobatan medis, dan kerajinan. Permasalahan pada komoditas hanjeli adalah umur panen yang lama dan produktivitas rendah saat penanaman hanjeli ratun di musim kemarau. Perlakuan ratun diharapkan mampu mempersingkat pertumbuhan vegetatif hanjeli sehingga didapatkan umur panen yang genjah dan memberikan informasi mengenai frekuensi penyiraman yang tepat untuk meningkatkan produktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pertumbuhan, hasil, dan fenologi hanjeli ratun var. stenocarpa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran, dari Februari hingga September 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif augmented. Tanaman hanjeli ditanam di  kadar air tanah 60% (frekuensi penyiraman setiap hari) dan  kadar air tanah 30% (frekuensi penyiraman empat hari sekali). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pada komponen pertumbuhan, hasil, dan fenologi tanaman hanjeli ratun terhadap frekuensi penyiraman berbeda. Waktu panen pada tanaman ratun lebih cepat dibandingkan tanaman utama.Kata Kunci: Fenologi, Frekuensi penyiraman, Hanjeli batu, Ratun.   Abstract. Job’s tears (Coix lacryma-jobi L.) is  local functional food that can be used for food, medical treatment and crafts. The problems are long harvest period and low productivity when cultivate Job Tear’s raton in dry season. The treatment of ratoon is expected to be able to suppress vegetative growth of the job's tears and  give information about appropriate of watering frequency to increase productivity. This research aims to study phenologycal, growth, and yield of job’s tears ratoon. The study was conducted in February 2019–September 2019 at Ciparanje Experimental Station, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor. This research was used descriptive method. Job’s Tears plants were cultivated in 60% of soil water content (daily watering frequency) and 30% soil water content (watering frequency every four days). The result showed there are differences of growth, yield, and phenologycal of the Job Tear’s plant to different watering frequency. Time of harvest Job Tear’s plant ratoon is faster than the main crop.Keywords: Job’s tears var Stenocarpa, Phenology, Ratoon, Watering frequency.

Abstract

Abstrak. Terdapat permasalahan dan kendala produksi padi (Oryza sativa L.) seperti luas lahan yang semakin sempit juga sistem budidaya yang masih tradisional. Sawah dataran medium dapat dijadikan perluasan lahan meskipun suhu lebih rendah dibandingkan dataran rendah yang menyebabkan pertumbuhan dan hasil rendah. Perlakuan sistem tanam Legowo dengan penggunaan kultivar unggul diharapkan mampu meningkatkan hasil padi di dataran medium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari interaksi dari sistem tanam Legowodengan benih padi kultivar unggul (Ciherang, IR64, dan Mekongga). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2019 – Mei 2020 di lahan persawahan Bojongsoang, Kab. Bandung, Jawa Barat dengan ketinggian 662 meter di atas permukaan laut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian adalah rancangan petak terbagi, yang terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu kultivar padi (Ciherang, IR64, dan Mekongga) sebagai petak utama, sementara faktor kedua yaitu sistem tanam (tegel, Legowo 2:1, Legowo 4:1 tipe 1, dan Legowo 4:1 tipe 2) sebagai anak petak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan sistem jajar Legowo dan kultivar unggul padi terhadap konduktan stomata dan tinggi tanaman pada umur 6 minggu setelah tanam. Kombinasi sistem Legowo 2:1 dengan kultivar unggul Ciherang memiliki hasil paling tinggi 11,63 kg per petak atau setara dengan 9,69 ton per hektar.Kata Kunci: Ciherang, IR64, Kultivar unggul, Mekongga, Padi, Sistem tanam jajar Legowo Abstract. There are problems on rice production (Oryza sativa L.) such as decreasing land area and the traditional cultivation system. Medium land rice fields can be used as land expansion even though its temperature is lower than the lowlands which causes low growth and yields. The treatment of the row systems with the use of superior cultivars was expected to increase rice yields in medium land. This study aims to study the interaction of the row system with superior cultivar rice seeds (Ciherang, IR64, and Mekongga). The research was conducted in December 2019 - May 2020 in the Bojongsoang rice fields, Bandung, West Java with an altitude of 662 meters above sea level. The method used experimental whose design was a split plot design. The treatment consisted of two factors and three replications. The first factor was rice cultivars (Ciherang, IR64, and Mekongga) as the main plot, while the second factor was the row systems (squares, Legowo 2:1, Legowo 4:1 type 1, and Legowo 4:1 type 2) as subplots. The results showed that there was an interaction between the Legowo row system treatment and superior rice cultivars on the stomatal conductance and plant height at 6 weeks after planting. The combination of the Legowo 2:1 system with the superior cultivar of Ciherang had the best yield of 11.63 kg per plot or the equivalent of 9.69 tonnes per hectare.Keywords: Ciherang, High-yield cultivars, IR64, Jajar Legowo row system, Mekongga, Rice

Abstract

AbstrakPenanaman bibit kakao pada tanah inceptisol memiliki beberapa kendala, salah satunya adalah bahan organik rendah. Peningkatan pertumbuhan tanaman kakao pada awal tanam dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian bahan organik. Saat ini terdapat bahan organik berbentuk cair, namun pengaruhnya terhadap kakao belum menghasilkan belum diketahui, karena pada umumnya bahan organik yang digunakan pada tanaman kakao berbentuk padat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh bahan organik berbeda (asam humat dan pupuk kotoran sapi) terhadap kesuburan tanah, pertumbuhan, dan fisiologi tanaman kakao belum menghasilkan. Percobaan dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai Desember 2017 di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah  Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 9 perlakuan dan 3 (tiga) ulangan.  Perlakuan yang diaplikasikan adalah dosis asam humat per tanaman (0 mL, 5 mL, 10 mL, 15 mL, dan 20 mL) serta dosis pupuk kotoran sapi per tanaman (0 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg, dan 20 kg). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua jenis bahan organik cenderung meningkatkan kapasitas tukar kation dan kandungan C-organik, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap pH tanah. Bahan organik padat maupun cair tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan diameter batang, dan indeks klorofil pada tanaman kakao belum menghasilkan, namun  pupuk kotoran sapi 10 kg per tanaman yang diberikan pada awal pertumbuhan tanaman memberikan pertambahan jumlah daun terbaik.Kata kunci: Asam humat ∙ Kakao ∙ Kotoran sapi ∙ Tanaman belum menghasilkan  AbstractPlanting cacao seedlings on inceptisol face several problems, one of them is low organic matter content. The application of organic materials can be used to increase cocoa plant growth at early planting stage. Recently, new formulation of organic fertilizer, i.e., liquid organic fertilization, has been produced, but its effects on immature cocoa plants growth have not been clearly identified, because the organic matter applied in cocoa plants is usually the solid ones. The objectives of this experiment was to investigate the effect of different organic matter  (humic acid and solid cow manure) on soil fertility, the growth and physiology of immature cocoa plants. The experiment was conducted from January to December 2017 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor. Randomized Block Design was performed in this experiment with 9 treatments and 3 replications.  Applied treatments were doses of humic acid per plant (0 mL, 5 mL, 10 mL, 15 mL and 20 mL) and doses of cow manure per plant (0 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg and 20 kg). The results showed that both organic matters tended to cation exchange capacity and C-organic conten, but did not affect the soil pH. Both organic matters did not significantly affect the increase of plant height, the increase of stem diameter, and chlorophyll index of immature cocoa plants, but 10 kg of solid cow dung per plant given at the beginning of plant growth gave the highest number of leaves produced.Keywords : Humic acid ∙ Cocoa ∙ Cow manure ∙ Immature plant

Abstract

One type of cereal that can be used as a functional food is hanjeli (Coix lacryma-jobi L.). Hanjeli production has many problems, i.e., low productivity and long life. Hanjeli cultivation from ratoons has several advantages, including reduced production costs, shorter lifespan, and less water requirement. Fertilization of NPK and application of GA3 as gibberellin hormone are expected to increase the growth and yield of hanjeli. This study aims to determine the interaction effect between NPK and GA3 on the growth and yield of hanjeli from ratoon. This experiment was carried out at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency, West Java, from August to December 2020. The experimental design used a Randomized Block Design, while the treatment design consisted of 2 factors. The first factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer which consisted of 3 levels, namely 100, 200, and 300 kg. The second factor was the concentration of GA3, consisted of 3 levels, namely 0, 10 and 20 ppm. All treatments were repeated 3 times. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between NPK fertilizer application and GA3 concentration on growth and yield of hanjeli, namely plant height, number of tillers, number of branches, leaf area index, number of productive tillers, grain weight per plant, harvest index and grain size and hardness. At a high concentration of GA3, increasing NPK fertilizer dose could improve the growth, yield, and yield quality of the hanjeli.

Abstract

The phenomenon of extreme weather events as a result of the impact of climate change can cause threats to agricultural systems, including soybean (Glycine max L.). Soybean is the main source of vegetable protein, which is sensitive and vulnerable to climate change. Therefore, research has been carried out through the identification analysis of changes in extreme weather events and analyzed for their correlation with soybean crops in Garut Regency to determine the effect of extreme weather elements on soybean production. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, using trend analysis on extreme weather with data on extreme weather elements such as maximum rainfall, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, wet spell, dry spell, the largest wind speed, and trend analysis on soybean production and productivity. Data for the research were obtained from BUTPAAG LAPAN Garut Regency, Garut Regency Agriculture Office, and other related sources. The correlation analysis used is the Pearson correlation with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that climate change impacts extreme weather changes in the Garut Regency area, with increasing extreme weather trends. However, extreme weather changes were not significantly correlated with soybean production. In this research, only the maximum rainfall and the largest wind speed were significantly correlated with soybean productivity.Keywords: correlation analysis, trend analysis, extreme weather, Garut regency, soybean production.
