Abstract

This research aimed to determine the feasibility of comics as media of learning on ecology materials in class X SMA. The research method was descriptive research and the descriptive research which used was survey method, while the research instrument was validation sheet. Assessment of validity was done by 5 validators. The media validation sheet consists of seven aspects: physical, design and color, drawing and writing, material content, conformity with learning objectives, simplicity, also messaging design elements. The results showed that the average validation of each aspect was 0.99 and CVI value (content validity index) also 0.99. It can be concluded that the comics is valid to use as a media in learning on ecology materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru Biologi SMA Negeri di kota Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru biologi yang mengajar di SMA Negeri di kota Pontianak yang berjumlah 24 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu teknik komunikasi tidak langsung menggunakan angket dan teknik komunikasi langsung dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru biologi SMA Negeri di kota Pontianak adalah media visual, audiovisual dan multimedia dengan persentase berturut-turut 56,48%, 12,04%, 31,48%.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine booklet media advisability on metabolism material for student grade XII. Booklet media arranging based on kratom leaves protection power test to the pancreatic organ of mice that consumed alcoholic beverages. The methods used in this study was descriptive. This research was carried out through two stages, arrange metabolism material and the result of kratom leaves protection power test to the pancreatic organ of mice that consumed alcoholic beverages into booklet media and validated that media until valid to use as learning media. Validation of the media was validated by 5 validators. As for the aspect assessed covering aspects of format, content, and language. Data were analyzed by CVR and CVI formulas using the lawshe method. The result of instrument validation showed that the instrument sheet was suitable for use and repaired whole the booklet media obtained CVR and CVI values of 0.99 in accordance with the minimum value of the lawshe so that it was declared valid and feasible to be used as a learning medium on metabolism material for student grade XII.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelayakan buku saku sebagai media pembelajaran pada submateri pemanfaatan keanekaragaman hayati indonesia kelas X SMA. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Buku saku divalidasi oleh lima orang validator. Proses validasi buku saku dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar validasi yang berisikan 14 kriteria, adapun aspek yang dinilai meliputi aspek konsistensi, format, organisasi, daya tarik, isi dan bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai content validity ratio (CVR) dan content validity index (CVI)  masing-masing sebesar 0,99 dan berada dalam kategori valid. Disimpulkan bahwa media buku saku valid dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada submateri pemanfaatan keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia kelas X SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of a pocket book as a learning medium for class VIII additives teaching materials based on the test results of the effect of carrot juice on shelf life and organoleptics of chicken meatballs. The background of making pocket book media is based on the results of interviews at SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak which said that the teaching and learning process was ineffective due to the lack of learning media. Therefore, the pocket book media is used as a learning medium. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which consists of potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The product design in this study is to make a pocket book by adding food additives and the results of the author's research. The pocket book media was validated by 5 validators, namely 3 teachers of SMP Negeri Pontianak and 2 Lecturers of Biology Education at the University of Tanjungpura. This pocket book media is measured from the aspects of the feasibility of format, content, and language which consists of 11 criteria. Based on the results of the pocket book validation, it was obtained CVI value of 1 for all criteria with an average validity value of 4 so that the pocket book media was declared valid and could be used as a learning media for additive sub material.

Abstract

The research purposed to determine the feasibility of pocket book as a learning media on the sub-material endocrine system in Senior High School grade XIth. This research used a descriptive method with a survey research form. The research instrument used a validation sheet consisting of 3 aspects including the format, content, and language aspects which were validated by 5 validators. Assessment of the validation sheet used a Likert scale and data analysis is based on Lawshe (1975). Based on the results of the study, it shows that the format aspect gets a CVR value of 1 in the valid category, the content aspect gets a CVR value of 1 in the valid category, and the language aspect gets a CVR value of 1 with the valid category. Overall, the data from the validation results of pocket book media get a Content Validity Index (CVI) value of 1.00 > 0.99 so that the pocket book media is valid and suitable for use as a learning media for the sub-material endocrine system in Senior High School grade XIth

Abstract

The magazine is one of the learning media that is rarely used in school. This research aimed to know the feasibility of endocrine system magazines and examine the learners' response to magazines as the media. This type of research is research and development. Five expert judgments tested the feasibility of the magazine. The aspects that were assessed were the material and media aspects. The product trials were done on nine students—the responses measured included cognitive, affective, and conative. The result of this research showed, on the feasible test CVR score of the material and media aspects was 1. Moreover, the CVI score was one as well. On the product trial, the score for cognitive aspect 85,18%, affective 83,33%, conative 87,77%,  and the average responses 85,42%. It can be concluded that endocrine system magazine was feasible as learning media. Furthermore, magazines as a media gained a positive and strong response. So magazines can be a choice of media that can help learning activities.

Abstract

The development of learning tools with a SETS approach is considered important to foster student interest in learning and critical thinking as well as to instill and improve the level of environmental literacy of Indonesian students which is still relatively low. This study aims to determine the analysis of the needs of SETS-based learning tools, to know the process of developing SETS-based learning tools, and to determine the validity and reliability of SETS-based learning tools. The development in this study uses a 4-D model development with stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Then it is reduced to 3-D with the stages of define (defining), design (design), develop (development). This research produces a product in the form of learning tools, namely RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) and SETS-based modules. The lesson plans and modules that have been developed are then validated by five validators, namely three lecturers of Biology Education FKIP Untan, one teacher from MA Darul Ulum, and one teacher at SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya. The results of the validation of the learning tools were obtained and declared valid with the average acquisition of Aiken's V calculation of 0.84 with a minimum value of 0.80. The reliability of this learning device was tested using the ICC (Interclass Correlation Coefficient) technique with the help of the SPSS program. The reliability of the RPP obtained a result of 0.520 with a moderate category and there was an agreement between raters, while the reliability of the module obtained a result of 0.536 with moderate reliability and agreement between raters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas preparat histologi sebagai media pembelajaran pada submateri pencemaran air kelas X SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahapan yakni tahapan pembuatan preparat dan validasi  media. Validasi media preparat dilakukan oleh validator, dan instrumen penilaian berupa kuesioner yang terdiri dari aspek tampilan media preparat, ketepatan materi, dan mikroteknik. Hasil validasi menunjukkan nilai rata-rata total validasi untuk preparat 1.1 sebesar 3,83; preparat 1.2 sebesar 3,83; preparat 2.1 sebesar 3,81; preparat 2.2 sebesar 3,83; preparat 3.1 sebesar 3,85; dan preparat 3.2 sebesar 3,85. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa preparat histologi valid digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada submateri pencemaran air.Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran, preparat histologi, pencemaran air The validity of microscope slides on sub-materi water pollution as learning media. This research aims to evaluate the validity of microscope slides as learning media on sub-materi water pollution. The research method used is descriptive method with the form of quantitative research. This research consists of two phases: creating and the validation of media microscope slides. Microscope slides media validation was performed by validator. The instrument of assessment is questionnaire which consisting of appearance of media, material accuracy, and microtechniques. The result showed total average of microscope slides 1.1 is 3.83; microscope slides 1.2 is 3.83; microscope slides 2.1 is 3.81; microscope slides 2.2 is 3.83; microscope slides 3.1 is 3.85; and microscope slides 3.2 is 3.85. It is concluded the microscope slides microscope slides are valid as learning media on sub materi water pollution.Keywords: Instructional media, microscope slides, water pollution

Abstract

Film dokumenter merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang telah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan film dokumenter sebagai media pembelajaran pada submateri zat aditif di kelas VIII SMP. Film dokumenter ini memuat pengertian zat aditif, jenis-jenis zat aditif, zat aditif alami dan sintetis serta contohnya masing-masing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian research and development. Film dokumenter ini memuat submateri zat aditif, selain itu juga memuat hasil uji formalin pada tahu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian research and development. Validasi film dokumenter sebagai media pembelajaran dilakukan oleh validator, adapun aspek yang dinilai meliputi aspek format, isi, bahasa, dan pengoperasian. Hasil validasi menunjukkan film dokumenter dinyatakan valid dengan rata-rata total validasi 3,93. Disimpulkan bahwa media film dokumenter layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.
