Abstract

This research aims to explore the prospects and challenges of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in family law dispute resolution. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with literature study and normative juridical analysis, as well as interviews with legal practitioners and academics. The results show that AI has great potential in improving legal efficiency and accessibility by accelerating the mediation process and providing initial legal consultation for the community. However, the research also identified several key challenges, including AI's limitations in understanding the emotional and psychological aspects of family disputes, the risk of algorithm bias, and the legal validity of the resulting decisions. The implications of this research confirm that AI can be a useful support tool in the legal process, but it cannot completely replace the role of humans. Therefore, strict regulations as well as human involvement in the verification process and final decision-making are needed to ensure that justice is maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of students’ understanding of the principle of the rule of law in Indonesia among 47 first semester students of the Law Program at Universitas Panca Bhakti. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collected through a closed ended questionnaire comprising three main indicators: supremacy of law, equality before the law, and fair law enforcement. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to determine the students’ level of understanding. The results revealed that 30 students (63.83%) demonstrated a high level of understanding of the rule of law, 14 students (29.79%) were in the moderate category, and 3 students (6.38%) were in the low category. These findings confirm that the majority of students have a solid grasp of the fundamental concepts and values of the rule of law, although a small portion still requires improvement through more contextual and applied learning approaches. This study is expected to serve as a reference for law programs in strengthening learning strategies based on constitutional understanding and enhancing legal awareness from the early stages of legal education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of religious moderation values in improving the community’s economy in Pontianak City. Religious moderation encompasses tawassuth (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), ta’awun (cooperation), and i’tidal (justice), which are believed to foster social harmony and promote economic productivity. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive–correlational method. The population consists of active economic actors in Pontianak, with a sample of 385 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire, interviews, and secondary documentation, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that religious moderation is at a high level (mean score = 4.23), while community economic improvement is also high (mean score = 4.11). Regression analysis shows a positive and significant relationship, with R² = 0.451 and the equation Y = 1.247 + 0.689X, indicating that the internalization of religious moderation values explains 45.1% of the variation in community economic improvement. This study concludes that religious moderation plays a vital role in promoting an inclusive, ethical, and sustainable community-based economy. Practically, the findings provide a basis for local economic development policies, while theoretically, they enrich interdisciplinary studies linking economics, society, and religion.
