Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) describing the kind of figurative of speech lyric Dewa 19 song at Bintang Limaalbum, (2) stating the dominance figurative of speech in Dewa 19 song at Bintang Lima album, (3) describing the function of figurative of speech lyric in Dewa 19 song at Bintang Lima album. The research data is Dewa 19 song at Bintang Lima album. The resources of this research is song lyric. The collection of data by reading song lyric, pointing the sentence that using figurative of speech, to predict the function of figurative of speech. The result is 13 figurative of speech, the dominance is repetitive figurative of speech about 17 and figurative of speech function about 4 that is concreting, alleviating, empasizhing and to beautify.

Abstract

The purpose of this studyis to describe the intelligent reader reception (in this study is senior student of Indonesian and Region Language and Literature Department, Padang State University) of the characterization in the script drama Kau Tunggu Siapa, Nilo work of Wisran Hadi. The data in this study is the answer (reception), the reader is contained in the statement list and the questionnaire. Sources of data in this study is that there is this statements and question in the statements list and the questionnaire submitted to the reader. The findings of the study, 20 data based on 20 statements in the statements list, and 10 data based on 10 questions in questionnaire. Once the data is obtained, the data were analyzed qualitatively using descriptive methods, and classified according to the theory used.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe (1) islam religious aspect about aqidah in rhymes of song  in Semesta Bertasbih album by Opick, (2) islam religious aspect about syariah in rhymes of song in Semesta Bertasbih album by Opick, and (3) islam religious aspect about  morals in rhymes of song  in Semesta bertasbih album by Opick. This data research is about the rhymes of song in semesta bertasbih album by Opick. The finding of research is Islam religious aspect in rhymes of song in semesta bertasbih album by opick, among of them are aqidah, syariah, and morals.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: (1) the structure of folklore in local legend Pincuran Tujuah in Nagari Koto Tangah Simalonggang Village Kapalo Koto Kecamatan Payakumbuah Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, (2) social function of Folklore Legend Pincuran Tujuah. The type of research was qualitative research used descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and recording of interviews with informants in Nagari Koto Tangah Simalonggang Kapalo Koto Village Payakumbuah Subdistrict, Lima Puluh Kota District. Based on the result of research, it is concluded the following things. First, Folklore Structure Legend Locally Pincuran Tujuah includes: (a) Characterization, consists of four characters, namely the main character and sideline. The main character is emak Gendong known as the person who has a patient and hard heart and while the side character is two children emak Gendong and neighbors who have a sense of jealousy to emak Gendong (b) Plot, the plot of legend Pincuran Tujuah is conventional groove, because a sequential event through regular causal relationships from the introduction of background, the main character, the entry into conflicts, and the ending of the story. (c) Background, this research is carried out in Nagari Koto Tangah Simalonggang Kapalo Koto Village Payakumbuah Subdistrict of Lima Puluh Kota Regency, and also there are also (d) Style of Language and (e) Less point of view is depicted in this legend story. Second, the social function of local folklore Pincuran Tujuah legend is as a function of educating, bequeath, identity, and tradition.Keywords: Folkore, Structure of Folklore, Social Function

Abstract

This study aims to: (a) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyo; (b) describe the movie episode of Winter In Tokyo by director Fajar Bustomi; (c) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyonovel with Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. This research data is the episode of novelty novel Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film directed by Fajar Bustomi. Data collection techniques have three stages. First, read Ilana Tan's Winter In Tokyo novel, and then follow Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. Second, the data collection phase of the novel episode of Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film by director Fajar Bustomi were collected through recording and observation techniques. Third, the stage of inventorying data into data inventory format. The research findings are episodes of 24 novel episodes, while in the film there are 24 episodes. In the film there are 6 additional episodes, and a reduction of 14 episodes, while the episode of a novel story that changes varies after being turned into a movie, found 7 episodes. It happens because of the creativity of the director while adapting the novel to the movie.Keywords: novel, movie, ekranisasi, episode

Abstract

This article aims to present: (1) the revised text of the Treatise Mau'izah Hasanah compiled by Imam Maulana Abdul Manaf Khatib Amin Stem kabung Koto Tangah, Padang Tabing (2) Interpreting the text of the Treatise Mau'izah Hasanah compiled by Imam Maulana Abdul Manaf Khatib Amin Stem kabung Koto Tangah Tabing field. This type of research is qualitative research with a focus to the field of Philology, namely research and critique text edition that aims to produce an edition of the text that can be justified scientifically based on the stages and methods philological research. . The object of this research is the text Mau'izah Hasanah Treatise compiled by Imam Maulana Abdul Manaf Khatib Amin Stem kabung Koto Tangah Tabing field. The methods used in this research tailored to the stage of research. In this research, there are four stages of research are used. The results of this study is to present a text that can be read and understood by the community now about the text of the Treatise Mau'izah Hasanah compiled by Imam Maulana Abdul Manaf Khatib Amin Stem kabung Koto Tangah Tabing field.Keywords: philology, transliteration, translation

Abstract

This study aims to describe the female image in Kaba Si Gadih Ranti by Syamsuddin Sutan Radjo Endah, in terms of three aspects: (1) the image of women as individuals, (2) the image of women as family members and (3) the image of women as community members. An image is a person's personal image that can be seen from the actions, speeches, associations, dresses and patterns of thinking that develop in every problem faced. While kaba is one of the classic works of Minangkabau society in the form of prose which contains the reality of Minangkabau life that is delivered orally, and serves as entertainment, as advice, as moral and cultural education. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the analysis of its contents, which describes the facts found in the object of research based on content. Analyzing data, namely (1) describing data concerning the image of women in Kaba Si Gadih Ranti by Syamsuddin Sutan Radjo Endah; (2) analyzing data based on the classification found; (3) interpret data based on classifications found; (4) draw conclusions and write reports from the results of the description carried out. The results of this study conclude that the image of women in Kaba Si Gadih Ranti is: (1) the image of women as individuals who include beauty, gentle, humble, (2) the image of women as family members which includes the role of wife, mother and children , family members, and (3) the image of women as members of the community that include environmental concerns or others and relationships to the environment or others.Keywords: Kaba, Image of women, Kaba Si Gadih Ranti

Abstract

This paper aims to: (a) present the tansliteration of the teks Inilah Kitab yang Bernama Parukunan Karangan Syeh Al-Alim Mufti Jamaluddin bin Al-Alim Al-Fadhil Syeh Muhammad Arsyad Mufti Banjar, (b) presents the tanslation of the text Inilah Kitab yang Bernama Parukunan Karangan Syeh Al-Alim Mufti Jamaluddin bin Almarhum Al-Alim Al-Fadhil Syeh Muhammad Arsyad Mufti Banjar. This research is a philology research, by using descriptive method at data processing stage. The object of this research is the text Inilah Kitab yang Bernama Parukunan Karangan Syeh Al-Alim Mufti Jamaluddin Bin Almarhum Al-Alim Al-Fadhil Syeh Muhammad Arsyad Mufti Banjar. The method used in this study is adapted to the research stages. In this study the method used is the standard edition method. In the transfer phase, alpha script is used and at the transfer stage the language is used by the transfer method. The results of this study present the text tansliteration and translation of the teks Inilah Kitab yang Bernama Parukunan Karangan Syeh Al-Alim Mufti Jamaluddin bin Al-Alim Al-Fadhil Syeh Muhammad Arsyad Mufti Banjar which has been adapted to the Indonesian Spelling (EBI). Some of the Malay and Minangkabau vocabularies found in this text are retained.Keywords: transliteration, translation, text, philology

Abstract

This article was structure and social function of folklore legend Si Untuang Sudah in Kanagarian Salido Sari Bulan District IV Jurai Pesisir Selatan Regency. Indonesian Literature Study Program, Department of Language and Literature of Indonesia, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang. This study aims to describe the structure, and the functions contained in the story of Si Untuang Sudah in Kanagarian Salido Sari Bulan District IV Jurai Pesisir Selatan Regency. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. Data were collected through interview, observation and recording with informant in Kanagariani Salido Sari Bulan District IV Jurai Pesisir Selatan Regency. Based on the research findings concluded the following matters. Structure of the story of Si Untuang Sudah can be described as folows: (a) figures of the legend Si Untuang Sudah, while the additional characters are Puti Linduang Moon, Rajo Angek Garang, Rajo Kuaso Kakek tuo, community (b) The path contained in legend Si Untuang is conventional groove; (c) there are several backgrounds contained in the story of Si Untuang Sudah, time setting, place, and social background. (d) The theme of the legend of Si Untuang has been about the greatness of God in showing his power; (e) The mandate we can take in the story is not to be emotional, do not be easy to believe in others, always be grateful and say thank you for what God has given you, to be wise before making a decision. The social function of the legend story of Si Untuang Sudah is for educating. entertaining, forming identity and tradition.Keywords: Structural, Social function, Folklore, Legend
