Abstract

This article aims to describe the structure and function of rhyme society in East Painan Nagari, District IV Jurai, South Coastal District. Study the theory used in this research, among others; (1) understanding of folklore, (2) the folklore and oral literature, (3) the nature of the poem Minangkabau, (4) the kinds of quatrain Minangkabau, (5) the characteristics of the poem, (6) the structure of the poem, (7) the function of rhyme Minangkabau , Pantun Nagari community in East Painan has a physical structure and inner structure. The physical structure consists of: (1) use of diction, (2) using images, (3) use concrete words, (4) using figurative language, (5) using rhyme a, i, u, e, o, h, m, n, ng, and k and Ritma said. Inner structure consists of: (1) theme, (2) feeling, (3) the tone and atmosphere, (4)  mandate. Function of rhyme society in east Painan Nagari, District IV Jurai, South Coastal Dict consists of: (1) as a means of communication, (2) as an identity Minangkabau society, (3) as flowers decorate tradition of Minangkabau society, (4) as a means to preach, (5) as a means to educate, (6) as the embodiment of traditional, (7) as symbols of Minangkabau culture, (8) to excite and motivate the heroic values of Minangkabau society, (9) to humanize humans. Keywords: Pantun, structure and function, oral tradition

Abstract

The purposes of this study to describe the description of the life of bundo kanduang in Minangkabau in Limpapeh's novel by A.R. Rizal is seen from the properties, duties and responsibilities, as well as the role of the bundo kanduang in Limpapeh's novel by A.R. Rizal. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded that a bundo kanduang must be a role model in life so it must have some properties, such as true, clever, articulate, and has the nature of shame. Furthermore, in the life of a bundo kanduang must perform duties and obligations, such as manuruik alua nan luruih, manampuah nan pasa, mamaliharo harato jo pusako, and mamaliharo child and nephew. Then in his life, a bundo kanduang has two roles: the role of domestic (in the family) and the public role (according to the profession and position).Keywords: bundo kanduang, Minangkabau, Limpapeh

Abstract

This article was written to (1) describe of teks story about Musa prophet at text Strory of Prophets version Azhari Al-khalidi Rahmatullah, (2) describe the translation of story about Musa prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Alkhalidi Rahmatullah, (3) describe change language of story about Musa prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Alkhalidi Rahmatullah. The objeck of this study were story about Musa prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Alkhalidi Rahmatullah. The text was data processing by four step, is roundup of data, describe of the text, translation, and change language. The finding of the study is avalaible of text about Musa prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Alkhalidi Rahmatullah in Latin script and Indonesian language and more words that indicate old language charactheristic.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is (a) to describe the story of episode novel Cintaku Untuk Si Mata Indah written by Sri Rokhati, (b) to describe the story of episode Habibie & Ainun movie director by Faozan Rizal, (c) to describe the similarity and differences the story of episode novel Cintaku Untuk Si Mata Indah with Habibie & Ainun movie. The data of this study is the story of episode novel Cintaku Untuk Si Mata Indah written by Sri Rokhati and Habibie & Ainun movie director by Faozan Rizal. Analysis technique is with ekranisasi theory. The finding of the study showed that the decreasing episode of the story novel Cintaku Untuk Si Mata Indah written by Sri Rokhati in Habibie & Ainun movie director by Faozan Rizal become 111 stories of episode. Additional of the story in Habibie & Ainun movie director by Faozan Rizal become 60 stories of episode. The change of variation event, character and background the story of episode in novel Cintaku Untuk Si Mata Indah written by Sri Rokhati and Habibie & Ainun movie director by Faozan Rizal become 10 stories of episode.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of social class, the causes of social class conflict, and the impact of social class conflict in novel Orang-orang Pulau by Giyan. Data in this research are sentences, direct speeches of characters and author narratives that can be interpreted as social class. Source of data in this research is novel Orang-orang Pulau by Giyan which published for the first time by Beranda in December 2013. This research is a qualitative research and using descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the social indicators in novel Orang-orang Pulau by Giyan are: (1) the form of social class, it can be seen in terms of economi, ie upper class, middle class, lower class. In terms of social status, ie upper class, middle class, lower class. And in terms of political status, ie upper class, middle class, and lower class; (2) the causes of social class conflict because of social change, there are differences in cultural patterns, and there are differences in social status that leads to rebellion between upper and lower classes; And (3) the impact of social class conflict, ie strengthened sense of solidarity group, the destruction of groups, loss of property and human sacrifice, the destruction of existing values and social norms, and the change of individual personality.Keywords: social class, conflict, and the causes of conflict

Abstract

The purpose of this article (a) to describe story of episode cerpen Madre by Dewi Lestari (b) to describe story of episode film Madre director by Beni Setiawan, (c) to describe similar and different story of episode cerpen  with film Madre. The Data of this study were story of episode Madre by Dewi Lestari and film Madre director by Beni Setiawan. Analyzed technique do with ekranisasi theory. The findings of the study showed that the decrease story of episode cerpan Madre by Dewi Lestari in film Madre director by Beni Setiawan  become to 27 story of episode. Increase story of episode in film Madre  director by Beni Setiawan become to 56 story of episode. The same variation changes event, figure and background story of episode in n cerpen Madre created by Dewi Lestari  and film Madre director by Beni Setiawan become to 11 story of episode.Keywords: Ecranization, Dewi Lestari, Short story

Abstract

The background in this study is how to measure the ability of SMAN 1 Banda Aceh students in answering the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions in economics. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' ability in answering the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) economic subjects at SMAN 1 Banda Aceh T.A 2019/2020. This research method uses quantitative methods and types of descriptive research. The population in this study were students of class XII social studies at SMAN 1 Banda Aceh. The sample of this study amounted to 65 students containing the entire population by taking samples using a non-probability sampling technique, namely saturated sampling. The data collection technique in this study used secondary data collection techniques. The data in this research contained all of the students in SMAN 1 Banda Aceh. Data analysis uses a simple descriptive statistical technique that is quantitative in nature. The results showed that the level of ability of class XII social studies students at SMAN 1 Banda Aceh in answering the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions in economics subjects was included in the lower category with the acquisition of an average score of 53 students. The conclusions of this study were that students of class XII social studies at SMAN 1 Banda Aceh were included in the unfinished category in answering the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) economic subjects.Keywords: Student Ability, Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).

Abstract

Abstrak Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) memiliki nilai untuk direkayasa menjadi material alternatif yang dapat dimanfaatkan dengan alasan masih berlimpahnya bahan baku, umur pakai dapat lebih lama, mudah di desain, dapat didaur ulang, bebas korosi, tahan dan mampu menyerap suhu panas, serta ekonomis, seperti untuk pembuatanpapan partikel. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan proses pembuatan dan menganalisa  respon parking bumper terhadap beban impak jatuh bebas setelah parking bumper dirubah bentuk. Spesimen yang diuji dilakukan dengan permodelan langsung bentuk parkingbumper yaitu berdimensi 75×200×130 mm untuk pengujian Impak beban jatuh bebas dan 250×200×130 mm untuk contoh spesimen untuk dilapangan. Pembuatan parking bumper dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan cetakan yang berukuran 1000×400×210 mm, posisi cetakan sewaktu pembuatan vertikal dan rasio cetakan 3:1 dari volume cetakan dan bagian dalam cetakan dilapisi kaca setebal 5 mm. Hasil pembuatan parking bumper adalah bentuk trapesium dan pada bagian permukaan yang mengenai objek dibentuk radius untuk menyesuaikan bentuk objek serta pada bagian bawah parking bumper disisipkan beton yang berfungsi sebagai pemberat.. Hasil uji karakteristik mekanik diperoleh dari tiga spesimen sama untuk masing-masing ketinggian yang bervariasi yaitu pada ketinggian 0,5 m serta 1 m. Untuk tinggi0,5 meter gaya maksimum terjadi 238,5792 N , tegangan rata-rata = 2.8692 MPa dan pada ketinggian 1 meter gaya maksimum = 256,3353 N, tegangan rata-rata = 2,9836 MPa . Kata kunci : Serat tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS), Pengembangan model parking bumper perubahan, beban impak jatuh bebas.

Abstract

This paper reveals a comparisons between magic spells / charms as one of Minangkabau spoken Literature and the poetries of Sutardji Calzoum Bachri. The theory of comparative literature is used to reveal the comparison. Thus, the aspects compared are the structure and Moslem’s religious values found in Minangkabau’s magic spells with Sutardji Calzoum Bachri’s poetries. In fact, both magic spells of Minangkabau spoken Literature and the poetries of Sturdji Calzoum Bachri’s have many things in common. First, structurally both genres contains similar element of sound, diction and language style. Through the analyses of diction and theme it is found that both the Minangkabau magic spells and the poems of Sutardji Calzoum reflects the Moslem’s value and ideology. Abstract

This paper discusses the short story of Malin Kundang, rebellious mother, written by AA Navis by using Derrida’s deconstruction theory. Deconstruction is method of reading the text very carefully so that the conceptual distinction inventions by the authors of the foundations texts seem inconsistent and paradoxes in the use of the concept in the text as a whole. The presence of deconstruction has allowed a text to have multi meanings. Literary text is seen as very complex. In this short story, Navis does not imitate what it is from the legend, nor about the legend recounted his version, but argues on different sides of legend of Malin Kundang and delivers it in way that is very unique and interesting.
