Abstract

The world is entering industry 4.0. The digital enlarges to machine maintenance known as troubleshooting. Troubleshooting is a series of actions needed to deal with machine damage treatment. Problems that often occur in troubleshooting are that technicians are not in the location, the information is still in the form of printed books, the risk of books being lost, books slipping, and the location of books far from the location of machine failure. This research was to solve this problem by developing an application called Production Machine Troubleshooting Information System (SITMEP) in relational database environment. This system was developed by integrating several methods such as machine damage knowledge obtained from tacit sourced from mechanical technicians, experts in their fields and explicit knowledge sourced from machine manual books. GT is to combine knowledge with machine hierarchies and it supports systems for database and SQL. The tool used was MS Access with VBA.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are traditional educational institutions that prioritize a religion-based curriculum. The Darul Hikmah Orphans Islamic Boarding School, located in Cot Yang Village, Kuta Barou District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province, faces the challenge of low levels of entrepreneurial skills in the field of welding and atomizing painting due to the absence of this material in their curriculum. To overcome this, atomizing welding and painting training was carried out at Islamic boarding schools, which aimed to improve students' hard skills in this field. This training is also planned to develop business units, including the establishment of atomizing welding and painting workshops. This atomizing welding and painting entrepreneurship training program is measured by several parameters, with the output being the basic welding technical skills obtained by the students. It is hoped that this program will produce entrepreneurs in atomizing welding and painting workshops that will benefit the environment of the Darul Hikmah Cot Yang Orphan Islamic Boarding School. The training implementation stages include welding and painting theory, occupational health and safety (K3), as well as practice and assistance in basic welding and painting, with the final product being a table. The training material was adopted from teaching welding and painting practices at Syiah Kuala Darussalam University-Aceh. The result of this training is an increase in participants' knowledge in welding and painting, as well as their ability to apply these processes by prioritizing K3 (Occupational Safety and Health).

Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum in the education system requires teachers to develop teaching modules while conducting instructional activities in the right direction. This research aims to develop a problem-based learning teaching module based on blended learning that is suitable for implementation within the context of the independent curriculum. The type of this research is Research and Development using the ADDIE development model, which stands for analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In this research, the implementation is limited to the development stage only. The suitability of the teaching module is measured through the validation results of the teaching module, as well as the responses from teachers and students. The subjects of this research are physics teachers and 11th-grade students at SMA Methodist Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques involve the validation questionnaire for the teaching module by experts and practitioners, as well as questionnaires to gather responses from teachers and students. The research data is then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods with percentage techniques. The overall validation results of the teaching module by content experts indicate a score of 99.7%, construction experts at 91.5%, and practitioners at 90%, all falling under the category of highly valid. Additionally, the results from the teacher response questionnaire show a score of 90%, and the student response questionnaire indicates a score of 86%, both falling into the category of very good. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the development of a problem-based learning teaching module based on blended learning is suitable for implementation within the framework of the independent curriculum.

Abstract

This study presents the development of the KATAKU (Kata untuk Tunarungu Interaktif dan Unik) application as an educational tool designed to support vocabulary learning for deaf students. Deaf students, who have the same educational rights as their hearing peers, often attend Special Schools (SLB). The integration of visual aids and technology in learning has proven effective in increasing their engagement and interest. This study employed a mixed-methods approach, including vocabulary assessments for deaf students, classroom observations, and teacher interviews for a needs analysis to identify the specific requirements of schools and students. Results from the vocabulary assessments revealed that deaf students face significant challenges, particularly with academic terms and word categorization. Classroom observations at three SLB schools in Jombang highlighted engaging but challenging learning dynamics, reinforcing the need for accessible and efficient teaching tools for educators. Teacher interviews indicated that using the paper dictionary provided by the Ministry of Education can be time-consuming and lacks efficiency. This study concludes that deaf students in Jombang face substantial obstacles in vocabulary comprehension, especially with academic vocabulary. The findings underscore the need for targeted vocabulary interventions using modern technological tools to better prepare students for advanced educational demands.

Abstract

According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, the agricultural sector is the business field that absorbs the most elderly workers. However, elderly farmers actually become vulnerable to musculoskeletal disorders when doing agricultural work. This is because agriculture requires a lot of lifting activities, carrying heavy loads, working in bent and squatting positions, there is a risk of slipping and there is a risk of falling from the slippery paddy fields. This study aims to identify agricultural risks for elderly farmers. Data collection was carried out using Focus Group Discussions, to identify complaints with the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and risk assessment with the Agricultural Whole-Body Assessment (AWBA). Complaint data obtained, namely respondents stated that they had Gotrak complaints (muscle and skeletal disorders) on the waist and legs. Results questionnaire NBM, namely the level of complaints of pain in the highest part of the body that is felt, namely the waist. While the results of the AWBA risk assessment show that most of the work postures of elderly farmers are at high risk (high) with a percentage of 53% and a risk level of work duration of 73% of agricultural activities has a risk of 4 (very high).

Abstract

Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in providing its services, especially in the field of financial administration, still adopts a conventional approach. In this method, hostel administrators manually record the flow of money both incoming and outgoing in traditional financial books. The preparation of financial reports is also only done once every three to six months. However, there is a risk that financial data may be erased when the registrar changes jobs. Various problems arise as a result of this approach, such as errors in recording the amount of money, limited access resulting in a lack of transparency and up-to-date financial information, the possibility of data being lost or damaged due to negligence or human error, lack of supervision which makes violations difficult to track and takes a long time to detect, unavailability structured financial records making it difficult to refer to previous years' budgets, and making financial reports that take up too much time. To overcome these problems, the authors have designed and built a web-based financial administration information system for this Islamic boarding school. The approach used is the Scrum method with an Agile framework, and utilizes the Laravel framework. The programming language used is native PHP, and the database system used is MySQL.
