Abstract

Batik Ceplok Sogan Solo is one of the traditional batik motifs that has a distinctive golden brown color produced from natural dye of soga tree bark (Peltophorum pterocarpum), but it is less known by the younger generation. Therefore, the integration of batik in mathematics learning is one of the strategies to introduce the batik culture. This research aims at mathematical concepts such as geometry, algebra, arithmetic, and statistics in solo ceplok sogan batik motifs. This research uses qualitative ethnography. The subject of this research is the Solo Ceplok Sogan batik motif. Data validity was obtained through source triangulation, while data analysis included reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The exploration process was carried out by answering four main questions, namely “where do I start looking?”, “How do I find it?”, “How do I recognize that it has found something significant?”, and “How do I understand what it is?”. The results show that of the four math concepts, only one, geometry, was found in this batik. Sub-concepts of flat geometry (quadrilateral and circle), and sub-concepts of plane geometry (congruence and straight line segment), as well as sub-concepts of transformation geometry (dilation, reflection, and translation). These findings can be integrated into mathematics learning through the development of ethnomathematics-based assessments oriented towards High Order Thinking Skills.

Abstract

Kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan adanya keterbatasan pelatihan teknis dan pedagogis bagi Guru SMK di Kabupaten dan Kota Magelang serta kemampuan guru dalam merancang modul ajar berbasis deep learning masih rendah. Tujuan utama kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini  adalah memperkuat kompetensi guru Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis (MPLB) melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar interaktif berbasis deep learning menggunakan platform Artificial Intellegence (AI). Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan, praktik penyusunan modul ajar, pendampingan, dan evaluasi melalui kuesioner. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah 19 guru MPLB yang tergabung pada MGMP Kabupaten dan Kota Magelang, Jawa Tengah. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa 73.7% peserta menilai bahwa materi PkM sangat sesuai dengan kebutuhan, 63.2% peserta memahami materi dengan mudah, dan 84.2% peserta berpendapat bahwa kegiatan PkM sangat bermanfaat. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa program PkM telah berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan pedagogis, literasi digital, dan motivasi guru dalam memanfaatkan AI alam penyusunan modul ajar. Oleh karena itu, kegitan ini berkontribusi untuk mendorong guru lebih adaptif terhadap teknologi dan menghadirkan pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif, interaktif, dan relevan.   Enhancing teachers' competencies through the development of deep learning-based instructional modules using an artificial intelligence platform    Abstract: Situations in the field indicate that Magelang Regency and City's vocational school teachers have limited technical and pedagogical training, and their capacity to create deep learning-based lesson plans is still lacking. The main objective of this community service (PkM) activity is to strengthen teachers' competencies through training and assistance in developing teaching modules. The methods used include training, teaching module development practice, mentoring, and evaluation through questionnaires. The participants of this activity were 19 MPLB teachers who are members of the MGMP in Magelang Regency and City, Central Java. The success of this activity shows that 73.7% of participants considered the PkM material to be very relevant to their needs, 63.2% of participants found the material easy to understand, and 84.2% of participants considered the community service activity to be very useful. The results of this activity show that the community service  program has succeeded in improving teachers' pedagogical skills, digital literacy, and motivation in utilizing AI in the preparation of teaching modules. Therefore, this activity contributes to encouraging teachers to be more adaptive to technology and to deliver more creative, interactive, and relevant learning.

Abstract

Tingkat kemiskinan terbuka (TPT) Nasional, SMK berada pada tingkat yang paling tinggi dari yang lain, hal ini menunjukkan fenomena kesiapan kerja yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh soft skill , informasi dunia kerja, dan perencanaan karir terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII jurusan manajemen perkantoran dan layanan bisnis SMK di Kota Semarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausalitas. Sampel penelitian 234 responden dari 564 populasi dihitung melalui rumus slovin. Teknik yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dan purposive random sampling . Hasil menunjukkan soft skill berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja dengan koefisien 0,000 < 0,05. Informasi dunia kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan kerja dengan koefisien 0,333 > 0,05. Perencanaan karir berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja dengan koefisien 0,000< 0,05. Sedangkan secara simultan soft skill , informasi dunia kerja, dan perencanaan karir berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa dengan Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,565 atau 56,5%. Kesimpulannya adalah kesiapan kerja siswa akan maksimal apabila faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi selalu ditingkatkan. Abstract

Conceptual understanding is a crucial aspect of mathematics learning. However, in practice, students’ mathematical conceptual understanding often tends to be low. One potential solution is the implementation of an interactive e-module grounded in constructivist philosophy to facilitate deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This study aims to examine the influence of using a constructivist-philosophy-based interactive e-module on students’ conceptual understanding in geometry of curved solids at the secondary school level. The research employed a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a pretest–posttest non-equivalent control group design. The participants consisted of 62 ninth-grade students from a public junior secondary school in Boyolali Regency, Indonesia, who were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a conceptual understanding test that was validated and demonstrated good reliability (Cronbach’s α = 0.82). Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics. The Mann–Whitney U test revealed a significant difference in post-test scores between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.001), with the experimental group achieving a higher median score (75) than the control group (55.5). The effect size analysis indicated a strong practical effect (r = 0.77), suggesting that the observed difference was not only statistically significant but also educationally meaningful. These findings indicate that the constructivist-philosophy-based interactive e-module was effective in supporting the enhancement of students’ conceptual understanding of geometry of curved solids. Furthermore, students who learned the material using the e-module demonstrated significantly better conceptual understanding than those who did not. These findings can serve as a reference for teachers in selecting appropriate digital learning media, while also contributing to the development of mathematics learning innovations oriented towards constructivism.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia requires teachers to demonstrate strong pedagogical performance aligned with student-centered learning, flexible instructional design, and competency-based assessment. However, empirical evidence on variations in teachers’ pedagogical performance, particularly in vocational education, remains limited. This study aims to identify clusters of teachers’ pedagogical performance and to describe the characteristics of each cluster within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. A quantitative approach was employed involving 99 vocational high school teachers from the Office Management and Business Services (OMBS) program in Central Java, Indonesia. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire covering lesson planning, instructional implementation, classroom management, and assessment practices. K-means cluster analysis was applied to classify teachers based on similarities in pedagogical performance. The findings reveal three distinct clusters of pedagogical performance: low (35%), moderate (38%), and high (27%). The high-performance cluster is characterized by systematic lesson planning, active learning strategies, and consistent use of formative assessment. The moderate cluster demonstrates relatively adequate instructional planning but limited innovation in instructional practice. The low-performance cluster reflects teacher-centered practices and restricted assessment variation. These findings highlight the heterogeneous nature of teachers’ pedagogical performance in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. These findings suggest the need for targeted professional development, particularly for teachers in the moderate and low clusters, to support the adoption of more student-centered and competency-based practices

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi oleh disiplin kerja, motivasi, dan kompetensi. Sebanyak 91 karyawan menjadi sampel dalam penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain kausalitas. Untuk menentukan kondisi awal kinerja karyawan, 10 karyawan ikut serta dalam pengumpulan data eksploratif. Kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumen digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Dengan menggunakan SPSS 26, penelitian ini mencakup persentase deskriptif, regresi linier berganda, dan uji asumsi klasik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing dari ketiga faktor tersebut, yang secara keseluruhan berkontribusi sebesar 57,7%, secara signifikan memengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Kompetensi dan disiplin kerja memiliki dampak yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja ketika dianalisis secara terpisah, sedangkan motivasi tidak memiliki efek yang dapat dibedakan. Hasil penelitian menyarankan agar perusahaan meningkatkan pelatihan karyawan, menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, dan menetapkan kebijakan gaji yang transparan untuk pekerjaan lembur. Kata kunci: etika kerja; manajemen sumber daya manusia; perilaku organisasi; sektor publik Abstract This study examines the influence of competence, motivation, and work discipline on employee performance at the Library and Archives Service of Tegal City and Regency. A quantitative causal design was employed with a total population of 91 employees. Prior to the main data collection, ten employees participated in exploratory interviews and questionnaires to establish baseline performance conditions; these individuals were subsequently excluded from the primary analysis to minimize response bias. Data from the remaining 81 respondents were collected via a closed-format questionnaire distributed through Google Forms and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Analyses included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression. The results show that competence, motivation, and work discipline jointly account for 57.7% of the variance in employee performance. When examined independently, competence and work discipline each exerted a positive and significant effect on performance, whereas motivation did not reach statistical significance. These findings suggest that organizations should strengthen employee competency through targeted training, enforce consistent workplace discipline, and improve physical work conditions to enhance overall productivity. Keywords: human resource management; organizational behavior; public sector organizations; work ethics
