Abstract

This research is a case study research aims. Data sources include events, informants, and documents. Research subjects are Indonesian language teachers, Vice Principals of Curriculum, andstudents of SMA N 1 Gemolong. Technique of research subject taken by purposive sampling technique. Technique of data collecting done by observation, interview, and document analysis. The technique of data validity test is done by triangulation of source and triangulation method. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis techniques.The results of this study are descriptions of: (1) the planning of authentic assessment in the Curriculum 2013 in Indonesian learning includes the preparation of assessment indicators, assessment criteria, and rubrics on RPP; (2) the implementation of authentic assessment in the Curriculum 2013 on learning Indonesian, teachers carry out authentic assessment in learning; (3) obstacles that teachers encounter in the conduct of authentic assessment and efforts to overcome them. Obstacles encountered by teachers include: (1) time constraints; (2) the difficulty of applying authentic assessment of certain competencies (3) the complexity of authentic assessment of (4) age. Efforts to overcome authentic assessment constraints include: (1) teachers make arrangements that include agreement between teachers and learners to perform assessments at specific times and places; (2) the teacher considers the assessments obtained from various sources; (3) teachers attend various trainings that are authentic assessment concepts; (4) the school provides an application to determine the value of the learner.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and explain: (1) the conversation structure in the classroom interaction of Indonesian language subject between teachers-students and among students and (2) the language function of the teachers' language and students' language in the classroom interaction. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Sragen. The subjects of this study were the use of language the teacher and students in Indonesian language course. The data in the form of sentences and discourse were analyzed by Sinclair & Cotlthard (1975) theory and Halliday (1973) theory. This research belongs to qualitative research using case study methods. The results of this study are; first, in the teachers-students conversation structure and the students-students conversation structure found new actions, namely, repeat. Both of the sequences of the conversation structure unit are from the largest to the smallest, namely: lesson, transaction, exchange, move, and act. Second, the language functions in the teachers’ language and students’ language, namely: the instrumental function, the regulatory function, the interaction function, the representational function, the personnel function, and the heuristic function.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the quality of the learning process and the skills of retelling the contents of the biographical text with the print media using the Think Talk Write model of learning in students of class X Motorcycle Technique (TSM) B SMK Gamaliel 1 Madiun. This study is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is implemented in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects in this study were students of class X TSM B consisting of 21 male students. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, field notes, interviews, documentation, and ability tests. This research used compative descriptive data anlysis technique. The results showed that the application of Think Talk Writelearning model with print media can improve the quality of the learning process and the skills of retelling the content of the biography of the students in cycle I and cycle II. This is indicated by the improvement of process quality from cycle I with an average score of 71,42 increased in cycle II with an average score of 90,47. Then, skill enhancement retells the contents of the biography text in cycle I with an average score of 70,42 increases in cycle II with an average score of 82,80.

Abstract

Degradasi moral banyak terjadi di kalangan remaja Indonesia. Upaya untuk memperbaiki moral dapat dilakukan melalui pembelajaran sastra di sekolah.  Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan (1) nilai sosial dalam kumpulan cerpen Lupa 3ndonesa karya Sujiwo Tejo, (2) nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan cerpen Lupa 3ndonesa karya Sujiwo Tejo, dan (3) pemanfaatannya sebagai materi ajar sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode content analysis. Data penelitian berupa kutipan dialog dan monolog yang menunjukkan nilai sosial dan pendidikan karakter serta catatan hasil wawancara dengan guru bahasa Indonesia. Sumber data berupa kumpulan cerpen Lupa 3ndonesa karya Sujiwo Tejo dan informan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca-catat dan wawancara. Validitas data berupa triangulasi teori dan sumber. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu  (1) terdapat  nilai sosial berupa tolong-menolong, empati, toleransi, kerja sama, dan kepedulian; (2) memuat nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu keadilan, pengendalian diri, syukur, kerendahan hati, cinta, dan kebijaksanaan; dan (3) nilai sosial dan pendidikan karakter dalam cerpen dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai materi ajar sastra di SMA kelas XI pada KD 3.8 dan 4.8. Nilai sosial dan pendidikan karakter dalam cerpen dapat digunakan sebagai contoh untuk siswa mengenal kemudian mempraktikannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and explain the role of sarcasm, the value of character education in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang by Wiji Thukul, and the relevance the role of sarcasm and the value of character education in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang by Wiji Thukul on the teaching of literature in universities. Technique of subject sampling is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are document analysis and interviews. The validity of data in this study is done by using critical discourse analysis techniques. The results of this research are: (1) there are 62 sarcasm in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang that serve as satirical of rules, satire of politics, satire of development, satire of education, satire of social inequality, and satire world health; (2)  the value of character education contained in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang is religious values, honesty, tolerance, hard work, democracy, reading, and social care;(3) the role of sarcasm majors and the value of character education contained in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang can be used as a literary teaching material with the subject of poetry in the study program of Indonesian literature.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the intrinsic element;(2) personality aspect of the main character;(3) character education; and(4) the relevance of the personality of the main character and the value of character education in the novel Rantau 1 Muara Fuadi with learning literature appreciation in High School.This research is a descriptive-qualitative research which used psychology literature approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were document analysis techniques and interviews. The data validity techniques used were data triangulation and source triangulation.The results of this research showed that the structural elements that build include: the theme of education, groove mix, setting a place located in Bandung, Jakarta, Maninjau, America, and England, the personality, the standpoint of using the technique of acknowledgment and the message to consistently pursue ideals.Through the three dimensional character is obtained figures of Alif and Dinara. The personality of the main characters in the novel, analyzed using Freud’s psychoanalytic theory which includes three personality structures Id, Ego, and Superego. Novel Rantau 1 Muara also contains the value of hard work education found on the main characters, Alif and Dinara. Novel Rantau 1 Muara is relevant to the learning of literature appreciation in high school class XII.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe and explain (1) the process of writing anecdote text based on the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision conducted by the teachers of Indonesia Language subjects in class X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Sragen, (2) the existing obstacles in the process of writing anecdote text of the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision in class X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Sragen, and 3) the teachers’ efforts to overcome the obstacles encountered in the process of writing anecdotal text based on the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision in class X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Sragen. This qualitative research used a case study approach. The data sources in this research were events (the process of writing anecdote text), informants (teachers and students), and documents (the syllabus and lesson plan). The results show that the implementation of learning to write anecdotal text based on the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision needs a more in-depth assessment in order to improve planning, implementation, and assessment. It is also based on the encountered obstacles occurred in the learning processes. Thus, the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision is in line with the concepts and regulations of the government. This is also implied for the achievement of national education objectives. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 yang dilakukan oleh guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Kabupaten Sragen, kendala-kendala, serta upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah peristiwa pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot, informan (guru dan siswa), dan dokumen (silabus dan RPP). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 pada pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot masih membutuhkan pengkajian lebih mendalam supaya dapat meningkatkan perbaikan implementasi, baik dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, maupun penilaian mengingat masih sering adanya kendala-kendala yang dijumpai dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, implementasi Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 yang sejalan dan selarasdengan tata konsep dan peraturan yang sudah ditentukan pemerintah dapat terwujud, juga berimplikasi pada ketercapaian tujuan pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

Social criticism and moral values can be found in many literary works, especially novels. The objectives of this research are to describe: (1) social criticism and (2) moral values within the “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk” novel by Tere Liye. This research used a qualitative method as a guideline to analyze documents containing information in the novel. To collect data, a purposive sampling technique and document analysis were used considerably. Data analysis techniques used interactive analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation, as well as withdrawal and testing conclusions. The outcomes of this research include (1) the social criticism within the “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk” novel such as (a) crime, (b) family disorganisation, (c) social norm violation, dan (d) bureaucracy; and (2) Moral values within the “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk” novel such as (a) individual moral values, (b) social moral values, and (c) religious moral values.Kritik sosial dan nilai moral banyak terdapat dalam karya sastra khususnya novel. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kritik sosial dan (2) nilai moral dalam novel “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk” karya Tere Liye. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif yang menganalisis data berupa dokumen dengan objek kajian novel “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk” karyaTere Liye. Teknik pengambilan subjek penelitian dengan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan dan pengujian simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini dikemukakan sebagai berikut: (1) Kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam novel “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk”, meliputi (a) kejahatan, (b) disorganisasi keluarga, (c) pelanggaran terhadap norma-norma masyarakat, (d) birokrasi, dan (2) Nilai moral yang terdapat dalam novel “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk”, meliputi, (a) nilai moral individu, (b) nilai moral sosial, dan (c) nilai moral religius.

Abstract

Perempuan secara kultural dipandang memainkan peran gender hanya di ranah domestik, bukan di ranah publik seperti laki-laki. Sementara, peran gender merupakan buah dari kesepakatan sosial berdasar kultur peradaban. Peran gender terbentuk berdasarkan perilaku-perilaku yang dilakukan/diperankan sehingga menciptakan suatu budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ketidakadilan peran gender terhadap perempuan dalam cerita pendek surat kabar Media Indonesia 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menerapkan teknik purposive sampling dimana mengambil teks cerpen yang memuat isu gender dalam surat kabar Media Indonesia tahun 2017. Validitas data memanfaat triangulasi, yaitu triangulasi teori dan triangulasi peneliti. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Cerpen-cerpen yang tersiar di surat kabar Media Indonesia melukiskan ketidakadilan peran gender perempuan berupa stereotip (pelabelan negatif) dan beban kerja yang lebih dominan dibanding laki-laki. Pelabelan negatif (stereotip) tersebut antara lain perempuan mudah menaruh percaya sehingga mudah dirayu-dibodohi, perempuan terlalu emosional menonjolkan perasaan sehingga perempuan mudah terpengaruh suasana untuk membuka diri tanpa berpikir panjang, dan perempuan mudah depresi karena tidak sanggup tertekan. Sementara, beban kerja perempuan lebih dominan di ranah domestic, yaitu perempuan bertanggung jawab penuh dalam mengasuh anak.Women are culturally seen to play gender roles only in the domestic sphere, not in the public domain like men. Meanwhile, gender roles are social agreement based on the culture of civilization. Gender roles are formed based on behaviors that are performed so as to create a culture. This study aims to describe the unfairness of gender roles towards women in the short story of Media Indonesia newspaper on 2017. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with content analysis techniques. The sampling technique applied a purposive sampling technique in which the short story text contains gender issues in Media Indonesia newspapers. Data validity applied triangulation, namely theory triangulation and researcher triangulation. The results indicates two finding. Short stories published in Media Indonesia newspapers depict the injustice of women's gender roles in the form of stereotypes (negative labeling) and workloads that are more dominant than men. These stereotypes include women who are easy to believe so they are easily seduced, women are too emotional to highlight feelings so that women are easily influenced by the atmosphere to open themselves without thinking, and women are easily depressed because they cannot be depressed. Abstract

Text learning provided by students at the Junior High School level (JHS) is in the form of fiction and non-fiction texts. This study focuses on fictional texts about folklore based on local wisdom for class VIII. The taking of local wisdom folklore is motivated by the element of caring for nature as a strengthening of character values ​​to realize the goals of character education found in the National Education System. Thus, educators try to provide folklore media as a means of learning literary texts, especially fiction texts. Thus, this study aims to explain and describe (1) character building through folklore media; (2) Folklore media make use of local wisdom stories in Ngawi sub-district, Ngawi district, and (3) the application of environmental values ​​in folklore in Ngawi sub-district, Ngawi district. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that (1) folklore media can provide educational facilities as well as teaching character education in the form of environmental care values; (2) Folklore in Ngawi sub-district as a medium to motivate students to explain concern for the surrounding environment, and (3) an alternative learning media facility for creative and innovative fictional text material
