Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of teacher creativity on students' creative thinking skills in elementary schools. Teacher creativity is considered an important factor in creating a learning environment that supports the development of students' critical and creative thinking skills. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant positive relationship between teacher creativity and students' creative thinking skills. Teachers who have an innovative and flexible teaching approach tend to encourage students to actively participate in the learning process, which in turn improves their creative thinking abilities. This research concludes that developing teacher creativity must be the main concern in efforts to improve the quality of education, especially in forming students' creative thinking skills at the elementary level.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of the Al-Baghdadi method in teaching Qur'anic reading at Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPQ) Mutiara Surga, located in RT 01 RW 09, Batipuh Panjang Village. The TPQ aims to improve Qur'anic reading skills among local children. Although TPQ Mutiara Surga has adopted the Al-Baghdadi method, there is a need to identify challenges and potential in its implementation. This article focuses on the adaptability of this method within the TPQ setting, its effectiveness in enhancing Qur'anic reading skills, and its application in students' learning. A qualitative approach was used in this study, employing data collection methods such as teacher interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Al-Baghdadi method is implemented using the Qo'idah Baghdadiyah Ma'a Juz 'Amma textbook. The teaching process begins with the introduction of Hijaiyah letters and progresses to the reading of Juz 'Amma and the Qur'an. Teachers find this method effective, as demonstrated by the students’ fluent and proficient Qur'anic reading skills. This article is expected to contribute to the development of effective Qur'anic teaching strategies in similar environments and to provide insights for similar educational institutions.

Abstract

This research addresses the critical issues surrounding the role of Islamic education in character development among youth in the context of globalization. The primary objective of this study is to explore how Islamic education can effectively instill moral values and ethical behavior in students, enabling them to navigate the challenges posed by modern society. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing interviews and surveys with educators, students, and parents to gather insights on the impact of Islamic education on character formation. The findings indicate that Islamic education significantly contributes to the development of integrity, social awareness, and environmental consciousness among students. Furthermore, it highlights the necessity of integrating Islamic values into the educational curriculum to foster a generation that is not only academically proficient but also morally upright and socially responsible.

Abstract

This study examines the development of an Islamic Education (PAI) learning design based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to enhance students' spiritual competence. The PBL model is applied to encourage students to identify, analyze, and solve real-life problems related to faith and spirituality. The research methodology involves needs analysis, design development, implementation, and evaluation steps. The findings reveal that the PBL-based learning design can improve students' spiritual competence, including strengthening values such as faith, patience, and noble character. This study recommends PAI teachers adopt the PBL approach to create interactive and relevant learning experiences aligned with students' daily lives.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah suatu proses yang melibatkan dua pihak utama, yaitu pendidik dan peserta didik, yang memiliki peran penting dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Pendidik tidak hanya mentransfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga berperan dalam membentuk karakter dan mengembangkan potensi peserta didik. Sementara itu, peserta didik memiliki peran aktif dalam belajar, baik secara kognitif, afektif, maupun psikomotorik. Hubungan yang harmonis antara pendidik dan peserta didik sangat penting untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif dan bermakna. Artikel ini membahas peran pendidik dan peserta didik dalam pendidikan, serta bagaimana interaksi antara keduanya dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Pendidik perlu mengelola kelas dengan baik, memberikan bimbingan, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Di sisi lain, peserta didik harus memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi dan keterlibatan aktif dalam pembelajaran untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal. Hubungan yang saling mendukung antara pendidik dan peserta didik berkontribusi pada pencapaian tujuan pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This study explores the critical role of local values in education and their impact on social transformation. It emphasizes the integration of local wisdom into educational curricula to enhance students' cultural identity and social awareness. By incorporating local values, education can foster a sense of belonging and community, ultimately leading to a more cohesive society. The research highlights various strategies for implementing local wisdom in educational practices, particularly in Indonesia, where diverse cultures coexist. These strategies include collaborative learning, community engagement, and the use of culturally relevant materials that resonate with students' backgrounds. The findings suggest that a curriculum enriched with local values not only improves academic performance but also nurtures character development among students. Furthermore, this approach encourages students to appreciate their heritage and promotes respect for diversity, which is essential in today’s globalized world. Abstract

The foundations and objectives of education have an important role in improving the quality of learning in schools. Basic education is a crucial initial stage in a person's development, especially for students. This research aims to analyze the concept of basic implementation and educational objectives to improve the quality of learning in schools. This research uses library research by reviewing various literature and reviewing the development of research on the basics and goals of education. The basis of Islamic education is principles originating from Islamic teachings. With the aim of forming individuals who are balanced spiritually, intellectually, socially, and ready to face life in this world and the hereafter. The application of the basics and objectives of education to improve the quality of education in schools emphasizes the importance of a strong foundation in the education system. A clear educational foundation, such as moral and ethical values, as well as directed goals, can help create an effective learning environment.

Abstract

The use of digital media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning offers various benefits, but also presents challenges. Digital technology creates more interactive and varied learning, giving students greater opportunities for active involvement and independent learning. Digital media enables flexible teaching with broad access to learning materials through e-learning platforms, videos and learning applications. However, limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, as well as security issues and digital distractions are still obstacles. The teacher's role is very important in directing students to choose appropriate content and keeping the learning process safe and effective. For the use of digital media to be successful, a balance between technology and religious values ​​must be maintained. With proper preparation and use, digital media can significantly improve the quality of PAI learning

Abstract

This research discusses the philosophical, psychological and sociological foundations of education in Indonesia. The philosophical foundation emphasizes the importance of applying Pancasila values to shape student character. Psychological foundations highlight understanding of students' developmental stages and creating an inclusive learning environment. Meanwhile, the sociological basis sees education as an important tool for social mobility and reducing social inequality. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study and education policy analysis. The research results show that the application of this educational foundation is very important to produce a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has noble character.

Abstract

The integration of social values ​​in character education is very important to form individuals who are not only academically intelligent, but also have good personalities. Character education aims to shape students' attitudes and behavior so that they become responsible and ethical citizens. Through a curriculum approach that accommodates social values, students can develop the empathy, social skills and social awareness needed to contribute positively to society. The role of teachers as role models and creators of a conducive learning environment is also very crucial in instilling social values. However, challenges in integrating social values, such as lack of understanding among educators, cultural differences, and the influence of the media, need to be overcome through collaboration between government, schools, and society. In this way, character education based on social values ​​can be realized and have a positive impact on the development of students and society as a whole.
