Abstract

This study aims to explore the contribution of Islamic educational supervision in improving the quality of multicultural education in Islamic schools. The background of this study is based on the importance of multicultural education in the context of pluralistic Indonesian society, as well as the need to make educational supervision a means of teacher development in creating inclusive and tolerant learning. Islamic schools have a responsibility to instill Islamic values that are in line with the principles of diversity and social justice. Therefore, Islamic educational supervision needs to be directed to support the strengthening of multicultural values in educational practices. This research method uses a qualitative approach with literature review techniques. Data were obtained through analysis of scientific literature in the form of journals, books, and academic documents that are relevant to the theme of Islamic educational supervision and multicultural education. The analysis was carried out descriptively with the steps of identification, classification, synthesis, and interpretation of findings from various sources. The results of the study indicate that Islamic educational supervision contributes to five main aspects: improving teacher competence in a multicultural perspective, integrating Islamic values with the principle of inclusivity, establishing a tolerant school climate, transforming school culture, and developing leadership based on Islamic values. The conclusion of this study confirms that supervision of Islamic education carried out effectively and contextually can be a strategic instrument in supporting the realization of quality multicultural education in Islamic schools.

Abstract

Literacy encompasses more than just the ability to read and write; it also includes critical and analytical thinking skills in understanding information. In Islamic education, literacy-based learning management serves as an essential solution for improving the quality of learning. This approach integrates Islamic values with literacy skills, enabling students not only to comprehend religious knowledge but also to apply these values in their daily lives. This study aims to analyze literacy-based learning management strategies in Islamic education at the elementary school level, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research is expected to contribute to the development of a contextual and innovative Islamic education model. It employs a literature review method to examine the concept of literacy-based learning management within Islamic education at the primary school level. The findings reveal that literacy-based learning management in Islamic Education plays a significant role in enhancing students' reading and writing interest. Islamic literacy not only sharpens reading and writing skills but also aids students in internalizing the moral and spiritual values embedded in Islamic texts. The improvement of literacy skills strengthens students’ ability to analyze, formulate ideas, and apply insights to real-life situations. Moreover, Islamic literacy contributes to character development in students, fostering traits such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy. Teachers’ support in integrating literacy through relevant reading materials and active learning methods is vital in creating meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, literacy strategies rooted in Islamic education can serve as a strong foundation for shaping intelligent and morally upright Muslim generations.

Abstract

The study of methodology in Islamic studies has undergone a significant change from the traditional approach that focuses on textual and normative analysis to a more multidisciplinary and sophisticated paradigm. With the integration of epistemology, phenomenology, hermeneutics, and empirical techniques, the understanding of Islam as a religion now encompasses a broader social, cultural, and historical dimension. To achieve this goal, Systematic Literature Review (SLR) reviews are conducted using methodologies and tools that support systematic thinking, identification, feasibility testing, and meta-analysis through journal articles, books, research reports, and other sources published in the last 10 years. The Literature Selection and Quality Assessment consists of Inclusion Literature that discusses the Methodology of Islamic Studies: Islam as a Religion within the scope of Epistemology, Paradigm, and Methodology Perspectives from Google Scholar, Semantic Sholar, Eric, Crossref, and Science Direct databases. The results of the study found that the methodology of Islamic studies has shifted from a traditional approach to a more sophisticated and multidisciplinary paradigm. Epistemological shifts lead to contextual and interpretive perspectives, combining phenomenological, hermeneutical, historical, and empirical techniques. This approach allows for a more comprehensive understanding of Islam as a religion and a social phenomenon.

Abstract

This paper aims to reveal the empowerment process carried out by BLKK Islamic boarding school and diagnose potential aspects that can be developed in realizing the goal of economic empowerment of Islamic boarding schools. This type of research is field research using a qualitative approach with locus on seven BLKK Islamic boarding schools in four regions, namely; district and city of Blitar, city of Kediri, district of Tulungagung, and district of Trenggalek. Through Kurt Lewin's theory of social change which includes three stages; unfreezing, moving, and refreezing, this paper finds that in the unfreezing and moving stages, all BLKK Islamic Boarding Schools are running well as program assistance is still running. However, at the refreezing stage, many BLKKs were difficult to develop. Because this stage needs to a spirit of entrepreneurship and independence that can take advantage of the existing potential, such as; the open mind set of the Islamic boarding school, the figures and influence of the kiai who can expand the external collaboration network, spreading alumni throughout the communities, and the BLKK building and equipment used as a production house and a place to improve the quality of human resources. The implication is the importance of the entrepreneurial attitude of Islamic boarding school BLKK managers in realizing the economic empowerment of Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

Education is a conscious and structured effort aimed at creating an environment and process that actively facilitates learners in developing their full potential. This includes nurturing their spiritual and moral values, self-control, intelligence, strong character, and essential life skills required for personal development and meaningful contributions to society, the nation, and the global community. At its core, education serves to empower students to realize and utilize their capabilities for future life challenges. It acts as a foundational medium through which younger generations acquire essential life skills, enabling them to integrate effectively into society. Moreover, education plays a pivotal role not only in the personal growth of individuals but also in the advancement of a nation. High-quality education is defined by its capacity to equip students with the competence to confront and resolve real-world problems. This notion becomes increasingly critical as learners transition from academic settings to the workforce and community life, where they are expected to apply their knowledge and skills practically. However, the success or failure of educational outcomes is largely determined by the curriculum. A well-designed curriculum should cultivate critical awareness and empower students to navigate complex social and professional environments. It should also promote creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, which are essential skills in today’s rapidly changing world. Furthermore, education should not be viewed merely as a means to acquire knowledge but as a holistic process that fosters emotional intelligence and social responsibility. By integrating various disciplines and encouraging interdisciplinary learning, education can help students develop a broader perspective on global issues, such as climate change, social justice, and economic inequality. In addition, the role of educators is crucial in this process.

Abstract

Abstract: Public trust in amil zakat institutions is a key factor in optimizing national zakat collection. Although Indonesia has a vast zakat potential, actual collection remains low. One of the main causes is the lack of public trust in zakat management institutions, particularly concerning transparency, accountability, and fund management security. In the context of technological advancement, the digitalization of zakat payment systems emerges as a promising solution to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and public trust. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing public trust in digital zakat platforms, using the National Amil Zakat Institution Baitul Maal Hidayatullah (BMH) as a case study. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an associative research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 respondents who are active users of BMH’s digital platform. The analytical method used is exploratory factor analysis to identify the latent structure of variables forming the trust construct. The results indicate three main factors that significantly influence public trust in digital zakat platforms: digital security, transparency and reporting, and ease of use. These three factors show a strong relationship in shaping public perceptions of the credibility of technology-based zakat systems. The findings affirm that trust in digital zakat services is influenced not only by technological factors but also by institutional integrity and the overall quality of user experience.

Abstract

Determining a monodisciplinary strategy for the advancement of science and its use in scientific integration is the aim of this research. This research uses a certain type of library research. To conduct descriptive research, researchers use words and not lists of data. These words can basically provide a general overview or explain current problems and their solutions. Content analysis is the data analysis method used, and places high priority on explaining the content of various existing propositions that arise from various theories and previous analyzes carried out by other researchers. The research findings show that a monodisciplinary approach is an approach whose foundation is solely on the scientific subject in question, without merging or combining it with other scientific fields. All sciences operate under monodisciplinary supervision, support, and motivation. Monodisciplinarity itself regulates scientific research and theoretical conclusions. A narrowly focused approach to science will result in a narrow view of religion and an interpretation of religion that has nothing to do with the research environment. The urgency of this interdisciplinary study is achieved by creating a paradigm that needs to be implanted in society by: Switching from a format based on formalism to a substantive format, changing universalism from exclusivism, research, study, and improvements both internal and external (inside and outside).

Abstract

The Merdeka Campus Internship Program at Yudharta Pasuruan University is part of an effort to enhance the quality of education by integrating academic theory and real-world practical experience in the workplace. Although the academic curriculum provides a foundation of knowledge, students often struggle to develop learning independence and professional skills when facing real challenges in the field. This issue encourages the need for a systematic and structured internship program to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The aim of this research is to analyze the design, implementation, and evaluation of the internship program in improving students' learning independence and their readiness to face the workforce. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, with data collection through observations of internship activities, logbooks, weekly reports, and interviews with students, supervising lecturers, and industry supervisors. Data analysis is conducted by linking field findings to Kolb's Experiential Learning principles, which include concrete experience, reflection, conceptualization, and active experimentation. The research results show that the internship program effectively reinforces the principles of Experiential Learning, where students are able to apply theory to practice, reflect on experiences, develop improvement strategies, and enhance self-directed learning. The evaluations conducted collaboratively between lecturers and industry partners also strengthen the development of technical competencies and soft skills, including creativity, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 5.0 era demands that the education system adapt to rapid technological advancements without neglecting character development, particularly within Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This article explores the importance of integrating Islamic values into digital character education as a strategy to shape resilient, adaptive, and globally competitive Muslim generations. Without strong spiritual and moral foundations, digital education risks contributing to a character crisis among students. Therefore, the role of IRE teachers is essential in utilizing technology as a medium to instill Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and discipline. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with literature review as the primary method. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic values into digital learning can be achieved through various platforms such as interactive videos, e-learning systems, and educational social media, while maintaining Islamic pedagogical principles. In conclusion, Islamic-based digital character education is not only relevant but also a fundamental necessity in preparing Muslim students to face modern challenges while preserving their moral and spiritual integrity. The implications of this study can serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing technology-based IRE curricula.
