Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between Islamic education and students’ religious moderation attitudes at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Muhajirin Purwakarta using a quantitative approach with simple regression analysis. Religious moderation is a crucial issue in the context of Islamic education as it shapes students to become tolerant, inclusive, and balanced individuals in practicing their faith. The data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability to ensure data accuracy. The findings reveal that Islamic education has a positive and significant effect on students’ attitudes of religious moderation, although the contribution level remains limited. These results highlight the importance of strengthening the curriculum and teaching strategies that instill Islamic values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin, while encouraging students to develop moderate attitudes in dealing with diversity. This research is expected to provide theoretical contributions to Islamic education studies and practical implications for policy development in madrasah learning.

Abstract

This study examines the management of inclusive education services as a strategic approach to enhancing school competitiveness in primary schools and madrasah ibtidaiyah in Tulungagung, Indonesia. Employing a qualitative multi-case study design, the research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Tulungagung, SDI Al Azhaar Tulungagung, and MI Modern SAKTI Permatahati Ibu Tulungagung. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving school leaders, inclusion coordinators, Special Assistant Teachers, classroom teachers, and parents. Data analysis followed an interactive model consisting of reduction, display, and cross-case thematic verification. The findings reveal a coherent managerial cycle comprising needs analysis, integrated planning, consistent implementation, and continuous evaluation. Early identification and institutional readiness assessment ensure precise service alignment. Planning integrates individualized education programs, teacher professional development, and structured parental collaboration. Implementation operationalizes curriculum adaptation, therapeutic support, and inclusive participation in flagship programs. Evaluation mechanisms generate feedback loops that sustain service innovation and organizational learning. The study proposes a conceptual framework linking inclusive service management to student achievement, public trust, and institutional differentiation. Inclusive education management emerges not only as a rights-based obligation but also as a strategic driver of sustainable school competitiveness grounded in service quality and reputational capital.

Abstract

This study examines the supervisory strategies employed in two Islamic educational institutions, MA Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Tebuireng and MA Perguruan Mualimat Jombang, to enhance teacher competencies in various aspects such as pedagogy, professionalism, and personal development. Using a qualitative, multisite approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research reveals that academic supervision plays a significant role in improving the teachers' instructional planning, teaching methods, and evaluation processes. However, challenges such as time constraints, limited resources, and inconsistent supervision practices were identified. While both madrasahs share common supervisory strategies, such as regular feedback and peer collaboration, they differ in their intensity and resources for implementation. This study highlights the need for a more structured and resource-backed approach to academic supervision to overcome existing barriers and ensure sustainable teacher development. The findings contribute to the understanding of effective supervisory practices in Islamic education, emphasizing the importance of leadership and contextual strategies for teacher improvement.
