Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) teacher acceptance of game-based interactive multimedia as a learning medium; (2) teacher's understanding of game-based interactive multimedia; and (3) teacher assessment of game-based interactive multimedia. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection is done using the method of observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques used are interactive analysis consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that (1) teachers provide good acceptance of game-based interactive multimedia because learning becomes more active and student-centered; (2) interactive multimedia based on simple games so that it is easy to use to help students learn; and (3) the teacher has a good assessment of game-based interactive multimedia so that it can be used as a companion learning media both at school and at home

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, all levels of education in Indonesia carried outlearning activities from home which were carried out through online learning and continued until the situation was declared better. The purpose of this study was to obtain planning implementation, and evaluation of the using of online applications in online learning (online) at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No 15. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The research subjects were teachers and students in high class. The data collection technique was carried out by interviews, questionnaires and document analysis with data validity testing using technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis used interactive techniques Miles & Huberman. The results showed that: (1) online learning to planhas made use of the online application and its features according to the needs, making lesson plans and preparing teaching materials; (2) the implementation of online learning was used for providing materials and assignments through online applications, (3) evaluating online learning was difficult for giving reflection to students. Therefore, teachers and students needed to develop a more varied use of online applications so that online learning can be carried out better.

Abstract

This study examines class 5 students' critical thinking skills in solving Higher OrderThinking Skills (HOTS) questions on food chain materials for science learning (theme 5,subtheme 3). The research was conducted at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta in class 5. Data collection techniques used were tests, interviews and document study. The validity test technique used was the Gregory technique, which consulted with experts in related material (expert judgment). The results of the analysis showed that the percentage of students' critical thinking ability was 74.25%. It is concluded that the ability to think critically of class 5 students at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta is included in the high category. By identifying several critical thinking indicators such as analyzing, inferring, evaluating, and interpreting, critical thinking ability can be identified. Each critical thinking indicators were analyzed to find the percentage. The percentage of the analyzing indicator was 71.6%, the inferring indicator was 72.9%, the evaluating indicator was 77.7%, and the interpreting indicator aspect was 74.8%, and all of the indicators were in the high category. The HOTS questions application to measure critical thinking skills can be said to be successful and indirectly can make students think critically in solving problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ditujukan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pengembangan usaha masyarakat non produktif melalui UMKM berbasis bahan dasar bekatul. Kegiatan pengabdian yaitu pemberian materi tentang kandungan bekatul, cara pengolahan bekatul sebagai pakan ternak berkualitas dan makanan bergizi, pengemasan dan pemasaran produk. Jumlah peserta yang diikutsertakan dalam program ini yakni sebanyak 35 masyarakat dengan teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan cara: observasi potensi, wawancara, analisis data sekunder, dan dokumentasi. Metode kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan cara pemaparan materi oleh ahli, fact finding (analisis kebutuhan), discussion (diskusi antara pemateri), asking and answering (tanya jawab dan diskusi), dan recitation (resitasi atau pembagian tugas), practice and experiment (praktik dan eksperimen). Hasil kegiatan ini berupa temuan bahwa saat ini masyarakat memiliki pemahaman pengolahan bekatul terbatas pada produk olahan untuk pakan ternak. Kegiatan diskusi memberikan paradigma baru terhadap masyarakat untuk mengolah berbagai macam produk makanan berbahan bekatul. Pelatihan ini memberikan bekal kepada masyarakat untuk menganalisis produk berbahan bekatul untuk dikembangkan menjadi produk olahan makanan sehingga memiliki nilai jual yang lebih tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian membekali masyarakat untuk memiliki pengetahuan dasar pengolahan makanan hingga ke tahap pemasaran sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat.

Abstract

This study describes the effectiveness of STEAM-based augmented reality (AR) learning media in natural science learning in elementary schools. This research used an experimental method. Six schools were involved as the subjects of this research, which was consisted of 3 elementary schools for experimental classes (60 students) and three elementary schools for control classes (60 students). The teachers involved were the 6th grader teachers. The data collection technique used 30 multiple choices questions for the students.The study results concluded that STEAM-based augmented reality effectively improved the quality of natural science learning in elementary schools. The t-test calculation results utilizing SPSS obtained t-count of 2.874 t-table of 1.980 (df-2= 122-2= 120). The normalized gain results showed a significant increase before and after using STEAM-based augmented reality media in natural science learning in elementary schools, which was 0.72 included in the high category.This research implies that research helps teachers optimize the use of media and teaching approaches. One of them is the use of STEAM with augmented reality media.

Abstract

Instructional media functioning to deliver the lesson has a very important role. There are a lot of instructional media used in learning process; one of those is interactive multimedia. This study aims to find out students response toward game based interactive media as instructional media in elementary school. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The sample in this study was 10 students 5th grade elementary school. The data collecting methods were interview, observation and questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by using interactive analysis consist of data collecting, data reduction, data presenting and conclusion. The result of this study shows that the student gave a good response toward game-based interactive multimedia. The students like and support the use of game based interactive multimedia as instructional media. Students felt that it was easier to understand lesson because the lesson was delivered not only through text, but also picture, audio, video and animation. The game in interactive media make the student be entertained and active in learning process. It is suggested that the teacher cooperate with the expert in education technology to improve interactive multimedia as interaction media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using edmodo based on project-based learning to improve learning independence for Applied Science courses at PGSD. This research is an experimental study with a quasi experimental control design. The subjects of this study were the fourth semester PGSD undergraduate students of UNS which consisted of 65 students. The instrument used was the learning independence observation sheet and the pretest and posttest questions. Data analysis used Paired Sample T-test and the increase was calculated using gain normalization. The results showed that the project-based learning-based edmodo media was effectively used to increase student learning independence in Applied Science courses with a sig = 0.000 0.05. The normalization results of the gain are 0.81 so that the project-based learning-based edmodo media is included in the high criteria in increasing student learning independence in Applied Science courses in PGSD Study Program.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this service is to train elementary school teachers to implement Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematich (STEAM) Based Learning. In addition to training teachers, this service also aims to analyze the pedagogical and professional competences of elementary school teachers through the lesson study method in Surakarta. The subjects of this service are elementary school teachers in the city of Surakarta. The method used in this service starts with Workshop, Practice, and Implementation. In conducting this training, the subjects were asked to take tests related to implementing Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Learning. The data analysis used was pre-test and post-test. The result of this activity is that there is an increase in the knowledge and understanding of teachers implementing Science, Technology, Engineering, Artand Mathematich (STEAM) Learning in Elementary School Teachers in Surakarta.Keywords: STEAM, Pedagogic, Professional, Teacher Competence

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari pengabdian adalah untuk melatih guru sekolah dasar untuk memiliki mengimplementasi kan Pembelajaran Digital. Selain untuk melatih guru, pengabdian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi Professional Guru SD dalam penguasaan IT. Subjek dari layanan ini adalah guru sekolah dasar di kota Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam layanan ini dimulai dengan Workshop, Praktek, dan Implementasi. Dalam melakukan pelatihan ini, para subyek diminta untuk mengerjakan tes terkait dengan mengimplementasi kan Pembelajaran Digital. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah pre-test dan post-test. Abstract

The research was about the analysis of teacher needs in the implementation ofonline learning process during the pandemic at SD Negeri Mangkubumen Lor No.15 Surakarta the academic year of 2020/2021. The background of this research because of the learning transition from conventional to online learning as an impacted of COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of the research to know ideal needs in the implementation of online learning for the primary school teachers. The design of the research used qualitative method with case study approach. The data collecting was obtained through interview with teachers at the grade of III- 1, VI-2, and school supervisor, documentation, and parent questionnaire. The result of this research indicated that the teacher at the grade of III-1 and VI-2 achieved the ideal needs forimplementation of online learning. The needs of teachers used were: (1) facility of online learning; (2) media of online learning, like applications and features; and (3) model variation of online learning. In the future, the teacher expect the developing of facility, media, and model variation of online learning. The teacher also hoped the role of government to introduce the applications the supported by education quota and give attention about the available of internet access.
