Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning Model on mathematics learning outcomes in fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 39 Cakranegara. The method used was a quasi-experiment by dividing the sample into two groups, namely the control class (28 students) who received conventional learning and the experimental class (28 students) who were intervened using the PBL model. Data collection was conducted through cognitive written tests and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the application of PBL significantly improved student learning outcomes, as indicated by the higher posttest average score of the experimental class (82.28) compared to the control class (77.33). The statistical test also obtained a significance value of 0.039 ($< 0.05$), which reinforced the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. The conclusion of this study is that the Problem-Based Learning Model is proven to be effective and significantly relevant in improving academic learning outcomes while fostering important skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan membaca siswa yang rendah. Kemampuan membaca khususnya kemampuan membaca permulaan merupakan hal mendasar yang wajib dikuasai siswa. Adapun yang menjadi tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana mengembangkan media big book berbantuan kartu kata dalam pembelajaran tematik berorientasi pada kemampuan membaca siswa SDN 8 Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian reseach and development( R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE tempat dilaksanakannya penelitian ini yaitu SDN 8 Mataram sebanyak 6 orang sedangkan objek penelitian in adalah media pembelajaran big book berbantuan kartu kata. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar angket validasi ahli media dan materi, angket respon guru dan siswa serta tes kemampuan membaca permulaan. Dari hasil angket validasi media dan materi, angket respon guru dan siswa serta hasil tes kemampuan membaca permulaan dapat disimpullkan bahwa media big book berbantuan kartu kata dalam pembelajaran tematik berorientasi pada kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sudah layak dari aspek valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas 2 SDN 8 Mataram.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the web-based Flipped Classroom model in terms of understanding the mathematical concepts of PGSD students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted on 2nd-semester PGSD students taking Mathematics Education courses. The population of this study was all 2nd-semester PGSD students and the sample of this study was taken randomly as many as 32 students. This research instrument uses a test for understanding mathematical concepts on geometry material with a total of 10 multiple-choice questions. The data analysis techniques in this study are the normality test as a prerequisite test, the Wilcoxon test to determine the difference between the average pretest and posttest, and the effect size test (Cohen's d) to conclude that the web-based flipped classroom model is effective or not on understanding mathematical concepts. The results of this study indicate that the normality test on the pretest data obtained data with a normal distribution, but on the posttest data the data was not normally distributed, so the Wilcoxon nonparametric test was used. Wilcoxon test results show the results of sig. <0.005, which means that there is a significant average difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. Then from the results of the Effect Size test, the results of 1.55 are included in the very large category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the case method in terms of students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is a quasy experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) at the University of Mataram. The sample used in this study were 29 semesters 2 students taking elementary school mathematics education courses. Data collection techniques using test and non-test techniques. The instrument for collecting data uses a critical thinking ability test. The analysis technique uses the normality test for the prerequisite test, the t-test to find out the difference in the pretest and posttest averages, and the N-Gain score test to determine the effectiveness of the case method. The results showed that the results of the pretest and posttest of students' critical thinking skills obtained successive significance scores of 0.088 > 0.05 and 0.094 > 0.05 meaning that the data was normally distributed. Furthermore, the statistical results of the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is a significant difference in average between the pretest and posttest. While the result of the N-Gain score is 0.713 and is in the high category, it can be said that the implementation of the case method has a high level of effectiveness on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media manipulative papan peredaran darah manusia terhadap penguasaan konsep sains peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk peneltian pre-eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest posttest. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 25 peserta didik. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan tes kemampuan penguasaan konsep sains. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas sebagai uji prasyarat. Hasil uji normalitas diperoleh skor sig. pretest dan posttest berturut-turut sebesar 0,001 dan 0,025. Hasil skor sig. tersebut lebih kecil dari 0,05 artinya data tidak berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji nonparametric yaitu uji Wilcoxon. Hasil signifikansi uji Wilcoxon sebesar 0,000<0,05 maka H1 diterima, artinya tedapat perbedaan rata-rata anatara pretest dengan posttest kemampuan penguasaan konsep sains peserta didik. Sehingga disimpulkan ada pengaruh media manipulative papan peredaran darah manusia terhadap penguasaan konsep sains peserta didik. Selanjutnya hasil uji N-Gain diperoleh skor 0,513 artinya media tersebut memiliki tingkat pengaruh yang sedang terhadap penguasaan konsep sains.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the application of Bruner's Learning Theory assisted by counting bag media on the addition and subtraction operations of whole numbers for class 1 at SDN 10 Mataram. This study is a descriptive qualitative study. The teacher of class 1B at SDN 10 Mataram and all students of class 1B became the sources of the research conducted and the objects studied were the application of Bruner's Learning Theory in the class. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the Miles and Huberman Interactive Data Analysis Technique. The results of the study showed that Bruner's Learning Theory at SDN 10 Mataram was implemented well. With the stages of Enactive 100%, Iconic 68.18%, Symbolic 86.36%. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Guru kelas 1B di SDN 10 Mataram serta seluruh siswa kelas 1B menjadi sumber penelitian yang dilakukan serta objek yang diteliti yaitu penerapan Teori Belajar Bruner di dalam kelas tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Teknik Analisis Data Interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, Teori Belajar Bruner di SDN 10 Mataram terlaksa dengan baik. Dengan tahapan Enaktif 100%, Ikonik 68,18%, Simbolik 86,36%.

Abstract

This research aims to produce human blood circulation board media (PAPEDA) based on validity, practicality and effectiveness regarding students' mastery of science concepts. This research is development research. The development model used is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were 25 grade 5 students at SDN 14 Cakranegara. The instruments used were validation sheets, teacher assessment sheets, student assessment sheets, and test questions for students' mastery of science concepts. The data analysis technique used is a validity test with the minimum criteria being in the valid category, then a practicality test based on the results of teacher assessment and student assessment with the minimum standards being in the practical type, and an effectiveness test with the criterion that the proportion of students who achieve the classical minimum completeness criteria is at least at 75%. This research shows that PAPEDA learning media meets valid criteria with an average expert assessment score of 84% with perfect measures. The results of field trials show that PAPEDA learning media meets practical and influential standards. The functional aspect assessment was obtained from teacher and student assessments, with average scores of 96% (efficient) and 81% (efficient). The effectiveness aspect is evaluated from the results of students' mastery of science concepts tests. The proportion of students who reach the minimum completeness criteria in the science concept mastery test is 80%, within the effective criteria. Thus, the learning media developed meets valid, practical and influential standards

Abstract

The ability to develop interactive student worksheets is a competency that educators really need to support the learning process in the classroom. To improve teacher competence, it is necessary to conduct training in using free websites to develop interactive e-LKPD. One of the website platforms that can be used by teachers is the wizer me website. The platform is easy to use and the features provided in preparing the e-LKPD are very complete. The method of implementing community service is carried out in several stages, namely: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The target of this service is SDN 26 Mataram teachers, totaling 14 teachers. The results of this service can be said to be successful, seen from the teacher's enthusiasm in the practice of making interactive e-LKPD with materials prepared by the service team. Besides that, the teacher's enthusiasm in this training can be seen from the increase in the teacher's test results on the ability to understand the material delivered by the service team. The types of questions practiced by the teacher in making e-LKPD using the wizer me website are multiple choice, short entries, descriptions, matching, searching for words, sorting, labeling pictures. Therefore, by increasing teacher competence in compiling interactive e-LKPD, it is hoped that teachers can develop more fully using the teacher's own materials and ideas according to the needs and characteristics of students.

Abstract

Innovative learning media is a form of developing learning media designed to provide a more interesting and interactive learning experience for students. Due to the importance of using innovative learning media, prospective elementary school teacher students must be equipped with various technology mastery skills to develop their abilities so that they can present a meaningful teaching and learning process. Meaningful learning certainly requires interactive media to support the implementation of classroom learning. One program that can be used is the GeoGebra program. The GeoGebra program is a computer or smartphone program that can visualize abstract mathematical material. The GeoGebra application shows that this program can be used as a bridge in delivering mathematics material so as to make it easier for educators in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this training is to increase the knowledge and abilities of prospective elementary school teachers in designing and using GeoGebra in learning mathematics. In this service, an example of the material practised during the training is. The results of this service can be said to be successful, as seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the training. This is also marked from the results of the posttest questionnaire that 100% of participants are ready to use the GeoGebra application in developing learning media.

Abstract

Village libraries play an important role as literacy centres within rural communities. A village library serves as a literacy initiative, bringing reading materials to strategically accessible locations in the community, with the aim of enhancing literacy levels and fostering reading interest. The methods employed in this activity included observation, interviews, and socialisation through a community-based approach that involved residents. The target group consisted of early childhood children, including those who had not yet entered school and those who were already attending school. The results show that the literacy skills of children who visited the village library improved, as reflected in the variety of books borrowed, their ability to engage in dialogue and convey the content of the books, as well as their ability to colour according to the instructions provided in the reading materials. The children’s enthusiasm for diverse reading materials serves as a strong indicator that should be taken into consideration in managing the village library, particularly in continuously providing new and relevant reading books.
