Abstract

History subject, as one of the topics with the capacity to mold the nation's character, should stress mentality or emotional intelligence as well as knowledge or academic intelligence. This study employs the Library Research approach, which entails gathering information and data from existing book sources such as Malay history and culture books, past journals, and historical knowledge books. This is part of the Malay culture's character, and character building in the Malay community may be used in any learning topic, particularly history subject. The goal of this study is to demonstrate how Riau Malay culture is being included into history classes. The problem in the area is that the Malay character is not accommodated in school learning; it is doubtful that this generation in Riau Province would conduct in accordance with the Malay personality. Otherwise, Malay culture is implemented or used in every subject, particularly history instruction. However, implementation Malay culture of Riau into history education may be an input and source of information where instructors can apply character development to pupils while also developing historical education understanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi pada Oktober 2021 sampai dengan selesai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengulas dan untuk mengetahui lebih jauh apa itu Badoa Ninik Mamak dalam acara adat istiadat pernikahan di daerah tersebut. Dimana Ninik Mamak mempunyai tugas dan tanggung jawab atas anak kemenakannya yang memilik peran sebagai tempat berunding bagi anak kemenakannya, mengeluarkan surat izin pernikahan serta menduduki acara pesta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pegumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Badoa Ninik Mamak merupakan salah satu acara yang dilakukan untuk Berdoa bersama sebagai berkat atau doa untuk kebaikan dalam hubungan pernikahan antara mempelai pria dan wanita dan acara ini dilakukan secara turun temurun, jika dalam pernikahan tidak ada Badoa Ninik Mamak, maka dapat dipertanyakan kondisi pernikahannya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Keterampilan berpikir historis menjadi keterampilan penting yang harus dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Melalui keterampilan berpikir historis, siswa didorong untuk melakukan penyelidikan historis melalui kegiatan mencari, menemukan, menganalisis, merekonstruksi, dan menggeneralisasi suatu peristiwa masa lalu. Ketersediaan sumber-sumber sejarah yang dapat digunakan sebagai infromasi dalam rekonstruksi masa lalu, sangat terkait dengan kegiatan investigasi sejarah. Namun, salah satu masalah utama yang dihadapi siswa ketika belajar sejarah adalah kelangkaan bahan sejarah. Untuk meningkatkan kegiatan penelitian sejarah dan menumbuhkan pengembangan kemampuan berpikir sejarah, kita harus mengambil langkah-langkah strategis untuk mengatasi keterbatasan sumber sejarah salah satunya melalui pengembangan website museum . Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan website museum sejarah sebagai salah satu pusat sumber sejarah yang dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh siswa guna meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir historis siswa. Metode penelitian pengembangan (R&D) digunakan untuk dalam penelitian ini. Sampel penelitian adalah 180 Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas yang diambil dari 564 siswa SMA di Kota Pekanbaru melalui teknik purposive sampling. Tahap-tahap penelitian dibagi menjadi tahap analisis permasalahan dan pengembangan website, tahap penyusunan desaian website, dan tahap uji validaasi ahli, uji coba produk, uji validtas, dan reliabilitas, tahap uji efektivitas produk dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir historis. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar validasi ahli, lembar uji coba produk, dan tes keterampilan berpikir historis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, penyebaran angket validasi ahli dan angket uji coba produk, serta tes keterampilan berpikir historis. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui uji statistic uji t untuk melihat pengaruh yang diberikan oleh website museum terhadap keterampilan berpikir historis peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Website Museum yang dikembangkan valid dan reliabel digunakan utuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir historis siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa Website Museum memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir historis siswa yang dikonfirmasi oleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (lebih kecil dari 0,05). Abstract

Abstract: The low skills of students in reading and analyzing historical sources are caused by social restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic. So that activities outside of school such as historical field trips are abolished. Responding to this issue, this study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using the Android-based Sang Nila Utama digital museum application on the skills of using primary source evidence for high school students in Pekanbaru City. Experimental research method with randomized pretest-posttest control group design is used as an approach in this study. The research subjects involved 96 students of SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru City who were selected through proportional sampling technique. The research data were collected through the use of primary source evidence skill test sheets which were arranged based on the research objectives. The data analysis of the research results was carried out with a quantitative descriptive approach through the t-test statistical test to see the effect of giving treatment to the variable. The research findings show that there is a significant effect of using the Android-based Sang Nila Utama digital museum application on the skills of using primary source evidence of high school students in Pekanbaru City which is confirmed by the t-test significance value of 0.000 or less than 0.05. The average posttest score between the control group and the experimental group showed a difference. So it was concluded that the use of the Android-based Sang Nila Utama digital museum application had a significant effect on students' primary source evidence use skills. Abstract

This Sea Tribe in general has been known for a long time as a tribe whose life wanders on the high seas as a place for them to live and in meeting their daily needs they depend on nature. The government considers this kind of life as one of the obstacles in the government's development plan. Therefore, during the New Order government a policy was issued to settle the Sea Tribes, including the Sea Tribes in Sungai Buluh Village, which made them have to adapt to an environment that was foreign to them. Departing from these problems, this study aims to determine (1) the origin of the Sea Tribes who were settled in Sungai Buluh Village, (2) the process of relocating the Sea Tribes in Sungai Buluh Village, (3) the life of the Sea Tribes after being resettled to Sungai Buluh Village. The method used is the historical research method which includes the following steps: (1) heuristics, (2) source criticism, (3) interpretation, and (4) historiography. The results of this research: The Sea Tribe who settled in Sungai Buluh Village came from Pilang Island. They have long lived on the coast of Pilang Island and are known as the Baroque People. The relocation process was carried out by moving them to houses that had been built in Sungai Buluh Village as many as 52 houses, besides that they were also fostered in the social, religious, educational and economic fields. Now, the Sea Tribe have mingled and their settlement looks like a typical Malay village with their main livelihood being fishing.

Abstract

The name Pekanbaru was formerly known as Senapelan. The development of Senapelan is very close to the Kingdom of Siak Sri Indrapura. The Siak Kingdom is a religious kingdom which is a continuation of the Johor Kingdom which was split into two regions, one of which is the Siak Kingdom which was founded by Sultan Jalil Rachmad Syah who is known as Raja Kecik. The existence of Pekanbaru City (the capital of Riau Province) cannot be separated from the role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Abdul Jalil Muazzamsyah who holds the title of Marhum Pekan in establishing this city. From a simple village (Kebatinan Senapelan) to become the capital of the Kingdom of Siak and is now a Metropolitan city. During Sultan Muhammad Ali leading the Kingdom of Siak, he built Negeri Senapelan and gave the city a new name Pekanbaru. To find out the background of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah's life and to know the role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah in establishing Pekanbaru, making Senapelan a trading center. This research is research that seeks to reconstruct the Role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah in Establishing the City of Pekanbaru (1765-1779) considering that events occurred in the past, the method used is the historical method with steps namely Heuristics, Verification, Interpretation and historiography. The result of this research is to reconstruct the role of Sultan Muhammad Ali Muazzamsyah in order to make Senapelan a trading center.

Abstract

Community Service Program (KUKERTA) after the pandemic is a very different activity from previous KUKERTA activities. Having KUKERTA after this pandemic has really helped local residents and the school. The purpose of this service is to increase public understanding and concern for children's education. The KUKERTA Team for Sungai Piring Sub-district carried out one of the work programs in one of the schools located in the Sungai Piring Sub-District, namely the 004 Sungai Petani Public Elementary School. The results of this service illustrate the increasing enthusiasm for learning and interest in reading in students. Reading is important in the teaching and learning process. Each student has varying reading abilities and reading interests. Adequate support, habituation and facilities will increase students' interest in reading at SDN 004 Kelurahan Sungai Rompin. The objects of the research are teachers and all students at SDN 004 Kelurahan Sungai Piring

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between historical understanding, historical thinking, towards historical consciousness in learning history. This type of research is ex post-facto with a correlational design. The population is class X high school students in Yogyakarta, with a sample of 177. The side technique uses cluster random sampling. Data collection uses instruments in the form of historical understanding tests, historical thinking tests, and historical consciousness questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out through partial correlation and multiple correlations with a significance level of 0.05, and the prerequisite test analysis used normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. The results show that the relationship between historical understanding, historical thinking, and historical consciousness in history learning has a strong and significant correlation. These three components should not be separated from the history learning process so that history learning is more meaningful for its historical values.

Abstract

The Sang Nila Utama Museum is one of the most comprehensive museums in Riau Province. Currently, the Sang Nila Utama Museum has more than 4000 collections divided into ten classifications:  Geology, Biology, Ethnography, Archeology, Historics, Numismatics, Philology, Ceramics, Arts, and Technology. From founded in 1991 to 2018, visits to Sang Nila Utama Museum can be done offline; however, since the COVID-19 pandemic began to enter Pekanbaru City, Sang Nila Utama Museum has been closed to the public. With the closure of the Sang Nila Museum, the museum's function as an educational tour, cultural and heritage tourism has been inhibited. The digital museum application is a solution to make museum visits no longer limited to offline visits but can also be done virtually. The application exhibits all museum collections, which consist of ten classifications, with a total collection of nearly 300 collections. Based on the test results, the digital museum application got good responses from the users and has met the five aspects of usability testing with an average usability value above four which is above the median value on a scale of five.

Abstract

Kabupaten Rokan Hulu merupakan salah satu wilayah tempat proses islamisai di masa lampau hingga kini menjadi sebutan negeri seribu suluk . Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui awal perkembangan islam serta penyebaran Islam di Rokan Hulu. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Kualitatif. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kajian pustaka yaitu hasil analisa berbagai informasi konseptual serta data-data kualitatif maupun kuantitatif dari berbagai artikel ilmiah yang terpublikasi sebelumnya. Hasil dan pembahasan dari penelitian ini adalah. Rokan Hulu di masa lampau masih zaman kerajaan berdekatan Sumatera Utara yaitu Barus, kedekatan menjadi faktor masuknya pedagang Islam, menggunakan transportasi air merupakan transport utama yang menyusuri hulu Sungai Rokan sampai ke daerah Tapanuli Selatan. Maka ada teori Islamisasi Riau dari jalur Barus ini sebuah teori dapat dibuktikan melalui penelusuran jaringan ulama Barus dan Riau yaitu teori barus terjadi interaksi dan proses dakwah Islam di daerah Rokan Hulu. Pada masa ini Islam berkembang pesat di sepanjang Sungai Rokan, disiarkan oleh muballigh-muballigh Islam yang diperkirakan datang dari Aceh yakni Kerajaan Samudera Pasai. Akibat pergolakan kolonial menyebabkan banyak ulama dan keluarga kerajaan hijrah meninggalkan Pasai menuju Rokan. Pada masa inilah kemungkinan negeri-negeri di Rokan di Riau pada umumnya banyak menganut Islam. Pengembangan Islam khususnya di kerajaan-kerajaan telah dikembangkan oleh penguasa-penguasa kerajaan dan muballigh-muballigh atau tokoh agama, kadi yang ada di kerajaan tersebut. Proses masuknya Islam ke Rokan Hulu juga melalui perdagangan jalur yang digunakan ketika itu melalui Bukit Barisan. Hal ini diprediksi bahwa Riau dikenal sebagai penghasil lada dan rempah-rempah . Berkaitan dengan Islamisasi Riau, maka akan muncul berbagai dampak bagi masyarakat Rokan Hulu kedatangan agama Islam membawa perubahan bagi kehidupan masyarakat Rokan Hulu karena terjadi penyatuan dua budaya yakni budaya yang datang dan budaya yang menyambut.
