Abstract

Educational tourism is tourism related to learning. One of the tours used is Bagas Godang Pijorkoling. The lack of promotion in this case has caused Bagas Godang Pijorkoling to be less well known to the public. The method used is using situation analysis related to observations made on objects, preparation, namely using interview instruments which will later be used during implementation, carrying out socialization about educational tourism and evaluation to see participant responses. The results obtained were that the Bagas Godang socialization activity provided a positive response to the socialization participants so that this socialization was said to be successful. This socialization participant also hopes that with this activity it will be realized that Bagas Godang will be used as an educational tourist attraction in Padangsidimpuan City to improve the standard of living of the surrounding community

Abstract

The aim of this research is to increase student learning outcomes in Indonesian language material through the application of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning model in third Class MI Al-Fath Kendari. The subjects of this research were teachers and students of class III MI Al-Fath Kendari who were registered in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 20 students. Implementation of the action follows the following classroom action research procedures; 1) planning; 2) implementation of actions and observations; 3) evaluation; 4) reflection. This research was carried out in two cycles. This type of research is classroom action research. The data in this research are qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data was taken using observation sheets, while quantitative data was obtained through cycle tests. The results show that the IOC learning model increases learning outcomes in Indonesian language material by 69.25 in cycle I to 78.25 in cycle II. This is because this model involves children in learning to work together which aims to train students to learn independently and learn to speak, convey information to others.

Abstract

Sungai Tallo memiliki Daerah Aliran Sungai atau DAS sekitar 432.21 km². Apabila kapasitas tampungan sungai tidak mampu mengalirkan debit air maka akan terjadi luapan yang menyebabkan genangan pada daerah bantaran banjir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui debit maksimum yang melewati Sungai Tallo di Kecamatan Tamalanrea Kota Makassar dan mengetahui hasil analisis hidrolika alirannya menggunakan aplikasi HEC-RAS 6.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan hasil yaitu nilai debit maksimum yang diperoleh sebesar 1861,75 m3/detik pada kala ulang 200 tahun. Analisis hidrolika aliran menggunakan software HEC-RAS 6.0 pada aliran sungai menunjukkan bahwa STA 0 sampai dengan 1000 merupakan jenis aliran subkritis dimana Fr < 1,0.

Abstract

Pantai punaga terletak tidak jauh dari kota Takalar sekitar 25 km ke arah barat. Pantai ini masih natural dengan pemandangan yang alami. Selain itu, hembusan angin yang menyebabkan tingginya gelombang saat pembangkitan oleh angin yang menghasilkan energi besar yang menghempas Pantai punaga. Selain itu, naiknya level permukaan air laut disebabkan oleh pemanasan permukaan bumi akibat adanya faktor manusia juga dapat menimbulkan tingginya gelombang datang. Tingginya gelombang bisa didapatkan dari ketidakberaturannya arah dan tekanan angin yang tidak menentu. Oleh karena itu, kami meneliti masalah ini karena dianggap perlu untuk mengetahui pengaruh wind setup terhadap gelombang di Pantai punaga serta mengetahui karakteristik gelombang akibat wind setup. Dalam penelitian ini akan menggunakan satu metode yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan tujuan mengumpulkan data sesuai fakta secara sistematis dan akurat di lapangan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data kecepatan angin dan arah angin selama kurun waktu 10 tahun (2020-2023) yang diperoleh dari BMKG Paotere Maritim Makassar. Dari data tersebut kemudian diolah menggunakan metode hindcasting dengan didapatkan tinngi dan periode gelombang. Dari hasil analisa dapat diketahui dapat diketahui semakin tinggi kecepatan angin maka semakin tinggi pula gelombang yang dihasilkan serta penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi penelitian selanjutnya mengenai bangunan Pantai.

Abstract

The integration of local traditions into science education has the potential to enhance student engagement, cultural relevance, and academic performance. This study explores the development of an innovative integrated science curriculum that incorporates the rich cultural heritage of Southern Tapanuli, Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing purposive sampling to select approximately 30 participants, including teachers, students, and community members. Data collection involves semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis reveals five key themes: Cultural Relevance (107 mentions), Engagement (127 mentions), Community Involvement (71 mentions), Practical Applications (39 mentions), and Challenges (31 mentions). Content analysis further highlights the importance of cultural context (30.7%) and participant interaction (36.0%). Comparative analysis indicates significant differences between groups, with Group A demonstrating higher mean scores (82.5 vs. 75.2, p<0.05) and success rates (78% vs. 65%, p<0.01). Inferential statistics, including t-tests (t=2.45, p=0.018), ANOVA (F=4.67, p=0.012), and chi-square tests (χ²=10.30, p=0.015), support the existence of significant differences and associations between variables. These findings align with previous research emphasizing the benefits of interactive teaching methods and community engagement in education. The study concludes that culturally responsive teaching approaches and community involvement can significantly enhance student motivation and achievement in science education. Future research should further explore these relationships in diverse educational settings to validate and extend these findings.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students pedagogical skills through a lesson study model in microteaching courses. The type of research conducted is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 6 students from the Mathematics Education, Biology Education, English Education and Indonesian Education Study Programs at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Iqra Buru University. Data collection uses observation sheets on the lesson plans made and the learning implementation process. The results of the research obtained are: 1) in preparing the learning implementation plan), from the 7 aspects that were assessed, namely: (1) the completeness of the identity of the RPP is obtained from 65% to 85%; (2) the formulation of learning objectives was obtained from 67.8% to 90%; (3) The description of the subject matter was obtained from 65% to 85%; (4) learning methods, strategies and media were obtained by 58%; to 92.6%; (5) the learning plan was obtained by 66.6%, to 84.3%; (6) The assessment was obtained by 70%, to 90%; and (7) learning resources were obtained by 75%, to 88.5. 2) Implementation (Do) with the application of lesson study there was a very good increase where from 3 aspects that were assessed to obtain ideals, namely (1) Introduction, 68.7% to 88% of categories; (2) Core, 61.6%, to 85%; and (3) 65% cover to 95. In conclusion, the application of the lesson study model in microteaching courses can improve students' pedagogical teaching skills.

Abstract

The teaching of science communication skills at the high school level can be effectively accomplished through lessons that are oriented not only towards the development of cognitive skills, but also towards the acquisition of hands-on communication skills. The present study employs an experimental research design to investigate the impact of NHT-type cooperative learning on students' science communication skills. This study employs an experimental design comprising an class and a control class. The study population comprised students at X MIPA UPT SMAN 2 The X MIPA 3 class was designated as the experimental class, while the X MIPA 7 class served as the control class. Sampling was conducted using a randomised system. The data employed in this study were derived from two sources: primary data collected via the science communication skills rubric and secondary data obtained through observation of student and teacher activities. The data collection instrument was a science communication skills observation sheet that had previously been tested for validity and reability. The data were analysed using the Friedman test, which revealed significant differences in students' science communication skills between the control and experimental classes at each meeting (p < 0.05). Similarly, the Wilcoxon test demonstrated a significant difference between the control and experimental classes at each meeting (p < 0.05). The findings of this study suggest that further research should be conducted at a larger scale to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the rubric of science communication skills.

Abstract

Punaga Beach which located in Takalar Regency is frequently visited by tourists because it has a beautiful panorama. However, this tourist attraction also has problems that highly need attention. In certain seasons, this beach experiences increasingly severe coastal erosion problems due to strong waves and ocean currents. The impact of high tides that occur in several places causes coastal erosion and nearly damage the buildings. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics that occur at Punaga Beach and the effect of these characteristics on the stability of the revetment structure. This research was conducted at Punaga Beach, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi. The results of this study obtained the highest wave in 2022 was about 3.5 m and the toe protection stability value was obtained about 0.480. Therefore the toe protection stability number was about 90.5 which can be able to protect the revetment building from collapse

Abstract

The new paradigm of waste today is that it can be a resource. The concept of waste management is carried out with the 3R concept (reduce, reuse, and recycle). Reuse activities on billboard advertising waste are one form of waste use that can be reused for organic fertilizer production purposes. Efforts to manage solid advertising waste are carried out by the Sikamaseang Group, Maros Baru District, Maros Regency, by utilizing the waste as a container in the production of vermicast (worm waste), which can be used in fish farming activities in ponds. Training and coaching activities for members of the Sikamaseang Group farmer group are carried out actively with demonstration and practice methods involving all program participants. The results of these activities are containers and media for cultivating Lumbricus rubellus worms, which are used as organic fertilizer in fish farming. The knowledge and skills possessed by the participants can be applied to the production of fertilizer needs in fisheries activities in Maros Baru District, Maros Regency. Abstrak Paradigma baru sampah saat ini ialah dapat menjadi sebuah sumber daya. Konsep pengelolaan sampah tersebut dilakukan dengan konsep 3R (reduce, reuse, dan recycle).  Kegiatan guna ulang (reuse) pada limbah reklame billboard  merupakan salah satu bentuk penggunaan limbah yang dapat dipakai kembali untuk keperluan produksi pupuk organik. Upaya pengelolaan limbah padat advertising dilakukan oleh Kelompok Sikamaseang Kecamatan Maros Baru Kabupaten Maros dengan memanfaatkan limbah tersebut sebagai wadah dalam produksi kascing (limbah cacing) yang dapat digunakan pada kegiatan budidaya ikan di tambak. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pembinaan anggota kelompok tani Kelompok Sikamaseang dilaksanakan secara aktif dengan metode demontrasi dan praktik yang melibatkan seluruh peserta program. Hasil kegiatan tersebut ialah wadah dan media budidaya cacing Lumbricus rubellus yang digunakan sebagai pupuk organik dalam budidaya ikan.  Pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki perserta dapat diaplikasikan untuk produksi kebutuhan pupuk dalam kegiatan perikanan di Kecamatan Maros Baru Kabupaten Maros.

Abstract

Pendampingan Bank Soal Digital IPA yang Mengedepankan Kearifan Lokal Budaya Tapanuli Selatan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa di SDN 100601 Pintu Padang. Dalam era digital saat ini, penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan menjadi sangat penting untuk menarik minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan guru dan siswa dalam proses pengembangan bank soal digital yang menyertakan konten-konten berbasis budaya lokal Tapanuli Selatan, sehingga pembelajaran IPA menjadi lebih relevan dan kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi pelatihan pembuatan dan penggunaan bank soal digital, pengenalan materi IPA yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal, serta evaluasi literasi siswa sebelum dan sesudah program. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan literasi siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep IPA, serta meningkatkan kecintaan mereka terhadap budaya lokal. Melalui pengembangan bank soal digital yang berorientasi pada kearifan lokal, siswa diharapkan tidak hanya mendapatkan pengetahuan akademis tetapi juga memahami dan menghargai budaya mereka sendiri. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi dan budaya lokal dalam proses pembelajaran, serta berkontribusi pada upaya pelestarian budaya Tapanuli Selatan di kalangan generasi muda
