Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of parenting style on achievement motivation and learning motivation among student-athletes, with social support as a mediating variable. The background of this research lies in the importance of parenting in shaping character, achievement drive, and learning motivation, especially for students who are also athletes and face dual challenges in academics and sports. This research employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The sample consisted of 81 student-athletes selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results revealed that parenting style had a significant effect on achievement motivation but not on learning motivation. Social support was found to partially mediate the relationship between parenting style and achievement motivation but did not mediate the relationship with learning motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of social support in strengthening achievement motivation among student-athletes, although improving learning motivation requires additional factors beyond parenting style and social support. This study contributes to the development of more comprehensive coaching strategies for student-athletes by optimizing social support. Future research is recommended to explore other psychological and environmental variables that may influence learning motivation.

Abstract

Pompa sentrifugal banyak digunakan dalam industri, namun sering menghadapi tantangan efisiensi akibat kavitasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan turbulence inducer terhadap kinerja pompa sentrifugal, dalam meningkatkan head dan efisiensi. Penelitian juga membandingkan performa pompa pada kondisi dengan dan tanpa turbulence inducer.Metode eksperimen kuantitatif digunakan dengan membandingkan kinerja pompa dalam dua kondisi: dengan inducer dan tanpa inducer pada putaran 1500 RPM dan 2000 RPM. Parameter tetap meliputi penggunaan pipa PVC diameter ¾ inci, impeller 3 sudu, dan fluida air bersuhu 25°C. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan flow meter, pressure gauge, dan tachometer, dengan analisis pengolahan data menggunakan excel. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan turbulence inducer mampu meningkatkan kinerja pompa sentrifugal. Head meningkat dari 5,086 meter pada puataran 1500 RPM menjadi 7,639 meter pada putaran 2000 RPM. Efisiensi juga meningkat dari 11,11% menjadi 22,89%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa turbulence inducer membantu mengarahkan aliran fluida secara lebih teratur sehingga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi sistem secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach emphasizes the interconnectedness between academic knowledge and real-life contexts so that learners can build meaningful understanding through authentic experiences. Although many studies on CTL were conducted in Indonesia, the results are still scattered and have not been comprehensively synthesized. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review and meta-analysis to assess the effectiveness of CTL in improving student learning, motivation, communication, and collaboration outcomes in Indonesia. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with reference to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Articles published between 2013–2025 were searched from Google Scholar, Garuda, Scopus, and DOAJ databases using the keywords "Contextual Teaching and Learning," "effectiveness," "learning outcomes," "motivation," "communication," and "collaboration." Of the 187 articles identified, 19 met the inclusion criteria. The analysis was carried out descriptively, thematically, and quantitatively with a random-effects meta-analysis model. The results of the meta-analysis showed a large and statistically significant combined effect size (SMD = –0.781; 95% CI [–0.938, –0.625]; p < 0.001) with a moderate–high level of heterogeneity (I² = 71.85%). CTL has been proven to improve learning outcomes, intrinsic motivation, and collaborative abilities of students. In addition, the trend of implementing CTL in digital learning and blended learning is increasing in line with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework. CTL has proven to be effective at various levels and fields of study in Indonesia. This approach strengthens the theory of constructivism and Self-Determination Theory, and supports the Freedom of Learning policy in shaping 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Further research is suggested to conduct a cross-border meta-analysis and examine the digital adaptation of CTL in the context of new learning.

Abstract

Teknologi pembuatan alat pendeteksi gempa bumi sederhana untuk memberikan solusi awal dalam mengenali getaran tanah secara praktis. Perancangan alat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman teknis mengenai prinsip kerja sensor getaran dan respon mekanis terhadap gangguan seismik. Selain itu perancangan alat ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi contoh teknologi tepat guna yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat atau kegiatan edukatif di lingkungan sekolah dan komunitas. Dengan adanya alat ini diharapkan kesiapsiagaan dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap potensi bencana gempa bumi serta menjadi sarana pembelajaran praktis dalam bidang kebencanaan dan rekayasa teknologi. Metode Pengujian alat dilakukan dengan cara mensimulasikan getaran yang menyerupai gempa menggunakan getaran buatan, misalnya mengetuk atau mengguncangkan meja. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengujian dicatat dan dianalisis untuk mengetahui efektivitas dan keterbatasan alat. Hasil penelitian bahwa pendeteksi gempa bumi ini membuktikan bahwa prinsip bandul cukup efektif sebagai sensor getaran sederhana. Bandul yang digantung secara bebas akan bereaksi terhadap pergerakan tanah. Berdasarkan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat ini dapat mendeteksi gempa minimal magnitudo 3 skala ricther.

Abstract

Perancangan Stasiun Kereta Api Tipe B di Wonosobo bertujuan untuk mendukung potensi reaktivasi jalur kereta api Purwokerto-Wonosobo oleh pemerintah dan PT Kereta Api Indonesia. Wonosobo, yang terletak di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, memiliki kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi dan sektor pariwisata yang berkembang pesat, menyebabkan pertumbuhan jumlah kendaraan dan wisatawan setiap tahun. Oleh karena itu, perancangan stasiun ini sangat penting untuk meningkatkan konektivitas dan aksesibilitas di daerah tersebut. Desain stasiun mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip arsitektur modern untuk menciptakan ruang publik yang fungsional, estetis, danefisien. Lokasi strategis di Kecamatan Wonosobo dipilih untuk memaksimalkan potensi aksesibilitas bagi pengguna transportasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi kualitatif dan kuantitatif, termasuk analisis data primer dan sekunder terkait rencana reaktivasi jalur kereta serta studi lapangan untuk memahami kondisi wilayah secara mendalam. Hasil dari perancangan stasiun kereta api tipe B di Wonosobo dengan konsep arsitektur modernadalah untuk wujud bangunan yang fungsional, efisien, dan estetis, selaras dengan perkembangan zaman dan kebutuhan pengguna. Desain mengutamakan skala manusia, fungsionalitas, dan bentuk sederhana dengan konstruksi yang jujur dan material industrial, serta menghindari ornamen berlebihan. Gaya international style diadopsi dengan menekankan relevansi fungsional material, prinsip form follows function, dan elemen vertikalhorizontal. Konsep skin and bone menonjolkan struktur bangunan, menghasilkan tampilan minimalis yangmenekankan kejujuran material dan efisiensi ruang. Perancangan ini bertujuan menciptakan stasiun yang tidak hanya sebagai pusat transportasi, tetapi juga sebagai representasi visual kemajuan dan modernitas Wonosobo.

Abstract

This study addresses the gap in systematic frameworks connecting Islamic environmental jurisprudence with contemporary environmental education principles, analyzing current practices and developing evidence-based integration models. This study employed a systematic literature review with a mixed-method synthesis following PRISMA guidelines. Data consisted of 53 peer-reviewed empirical articles published between 2021–2025, retrieved from the Scopus database using structured keyword combinations related to Islamic education and environmental sustainability. Data were collected through systematic screening, inclusion–exclusion criteria, and standardized extraction forms. Analysis was conducted using directed and conventional content analysis combined with thematic synthesis to identify integration patterns, challenges, and opportunities. Trustworthiness was ensured through triangulation of sources, transparent audit trails, and expert validation to enhance reliability and analytical rigor. The results show uneven integration of environmental education in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Most institutions remain at early stages, with 53% applying thematic integration that embeds environmental issues superficially within Islamic subjects, while 23% offer specialized courses and only 9% achieve comprehensive institutional integration aligned with Islamic ecological principles such as khalifah fi al-ardh and maqashid al-shari‘ah. The remaining 15% reflect sporadic inclusion with minimal educational impact. These patterns indicate limited systemic transformation within Islamic education. Major constraints include teacher competency gaps, resource limitations, and weak policy support, while opportunities arise from increasing sustainability policies, digital learning potential, and support from Islamic organizations, positioning pesantren as strategic actors for advancing integrated Islamic environmental education.

Abstract

Perencanaan bangunan diperlukan agar dapat memberikan luaran desain yang baik untuk menunjang kebutuhan dan kenyamanan penghuninya. Indonesia dengan iklim khas tropis memberikan pengaruh pada produk arsitektur yang harus menyesuaikan dengan kondisi iklim Indonesia. Salah satu faktor penting dalam perencanaan bangunan adalah pencahayaan. Terdapat tiga kriteria utama untuk memenuhi sistem pencahayaan yang baik, yaitu kualitas, kuantitas, dan aturan pencahayaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas aplikasi konsep arsitektur yang menyesuaikan dengan konteks bangunan di iklim tropis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian secara kuantitatif melalui pengolahan data numerik besaran cahaya menggunakan software berbasis online yang diprogram oleh Dr. Andrew Marsh. Metode penelitian melibatkan langkah observasi orientasi bangunan dan arah edar matahari. Objek yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bangunan indekos dengan software simulasi building performance analysis. Software ini bekerja dengan pemrograman cahaya dan menghasilkan analisis arah cahaya matahari, skema pembayangan eksterior dan interior bangunan, serta besaran intensitas cahaya yang diterima oleh suatu ruang.

Abstract

Writing is a challenging skill for students in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts, particularly in producing recount texts due to difficulties in generating ideas, organizing content, and applying appropriate language features. This study aims to investigate the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on students’ recount text writing skills. A quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach was employed, involving 32 tenth-grade students. The data were collected through writing tests and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The findings revealed a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores; however, the results indicated a decline in students’ writing performance after the implementation of PBL. This suggests that PBL, in this context, was not effective in improving students’ recount text writing skills. The findings highlight that the effectiveness of PBL is influenced by factors such as the duration of implementation, the level of instructional scaffolding, and students’ readiness to engage in student-centered learning. Therefore, it is recommended that PBL be implemented gradually with sufficient guidance and longer duration to achieve optimal results. This study contributes to the understanding of the practical challenges in applying student-centered learning approaches in EFL writing classrooms.
