Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the interaction between NPK Mutiara fertiliser dosage and branch pruning on the growth and yield of tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.). The experiment was carried out from March to May 2024 at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Madako University, Tolitoli, Tambun Village, Baolan District, Tolitoli Regency. A factorial Randomised Block Design (RBD) was used with two factors: NPK Mutiara fertiliser dosage (0 g/plant, 15 g/plant, and 25 g/plant) and branch pruning (no pruning, leaving three main branches, and leaving four main branches). Each treatment combination was replicated three times, resulting in 27 experimental units. The results revealed a significant interaction between NPK Mutiara fertiliser and branch pruning on plant height (51.92 cm) and fruit weight per sample (391.50 g). The single factor of branch pruning had a highly significant effect on fruit diameter at 67 days after planting (48.47 mm) and 74 days after planting (57.86 mm), with the best performance observed in treatments leaving 3–4 main branches. Overall, applying NPK Mutiara fertiliser at 25 g/plant combined with pruning to 3–4 main branches enhanced the growth and yield of tomato plants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction between the composition of planting media and the dose of NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 fertilizer on the growth and yield of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with a combination of several planting media (soil, coffee husks, and chicken manure) and different doses of NPK fertilizer. The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root volume, number of fruits, and fruit weight. The results showed a significant interaction between planting media and NPK fertilizer doses on all growth and yield parameters. The best treatment was obtained in the M3 planting media (1 kg soil: 1 kg coffee husks: 2 kg chicken manure = 1:1:2) with a dose of P2 fertilizer (10 g/polybag or equivalent to 350 kg/ha) which resulted in a plant height of 66.73 cm, more leaves, larger stem diameter, the highest root volume (86.67 ml), optimal number of fruits (2.00 fruits), and the most significant fruit weight (0.40 kg). In contrast, the control treatment (without fertilizer) resulted in lower growth and yield. It can be concluded that the combination of chicken manure and NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 fertilizer at a dose of 10 g per polybag can increase the vegetative and generative growth of purple eggplant plants.

Abstract

Siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) membutuhkan kompetensi bahasa Inggris yang selaras dengan bidang kejuruan spesifik mereka. Namun, materi pembelajaran yang tersedia saat ini sering kali tidak memiliki relevansi kontekstual, dan adopsi teknologi digital masih berada pada tingkat yang kurang optimal. Tujuan penellitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi faktor-faktor penentu utama penerimaan siswa terhadap integrasi interactive e-comic dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, menggunakan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) sebagai kerangka kerja teoretis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metodologi survei kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 99 siswa. Partisipan ini direkrut dari tiga program kejuruan yang berbeda (Multimedia, Teknik Komputer Jaringan, dan Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak) di SMK Telekomunikasi Darul Ulum Jombang. Analisis statistik dilaksanakan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil temuan utama secara krusial menunjukkan bahwa Perceived Usefulness (β=0,428) dan Perceived Ease of Use (β=0,341) secara signifikan memprediksi Attitude Toward Using e-comic, dengan kedua hubungan tersebut mencapai ambang batas signifikansi statistik (p<0,001). Selanjutnya, analisis mengungkapkan adanya efek moderasi yang signifikan secara statistik dari Content Relevance (β=0,293, p=0,003) terhadap prediksi Attitude dari Perceived Usefulness. Dengan demikian, pengaruh Perceived Usefulness terhadap Attitude siswa bersifat kondisional berdasarkan tingkat relevansi konten. Model yang diuji mampu menjelaskan 69,1% varians dalam Behavioral Intention. Penerimaan e-comic didorong terutama oleh persepsi kemanfaatan (Perceived Usefulness) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi bahasa Inggris kejuruan dan persepsi kemudahan penggunaannya (Perceived Ease of Use). Penyelarasan konten (Content Relevance) dengan bidang kejuruan siswa secara signifikan meningkatkan penerimaan teknologi. Abstract

Vocational high school (SMK) students have unique English learning needs compared to those in general schooling, as they require language skills relevant to their vocational fields such as computer, multimedia, and software development. Conventional English learning materials often fail to meet these needs because they lack contextual and engaging content. This study investigates the specific language needs, learning challenges, and media preferences of vocational students as a basis for designing digital learning materials, particularly e-comics, to support vocational English instruction. Adopting a mixed-methods design, data were gathered through questionnaires administered to 104 SMK students and semi-structured interviews with two vocational English teachers. The quantitative data identified vocabulary and comprehension as the most significant challenges, while the qualitative findings revealed students’ struggles in applying technical terminology and maintaining motivation during lessons. Students also emphasized the need for learning activities that promote active language use, such as conversation, storytelling, and task-based projects related to their fields of study. Both students and teachers expressed strong preferences for interactive and contextual learning media, noting that traditional textbooks often feel irrelevant to workplace communication demands. The integration of digital tools, particularly e-comics, was perceived as a promising approach to enhance engagement, vocabulary acquisition, and communicative competence. The study concludes that incorporating needs-based, contextually relevant, and visually appealing digital materials can significantly improve the effectiveness of vocational English learning and better prepare students for professional communication in their respective disciplines.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of chicken manure bokashi and NPK Phonska fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea Mays saccaharate sturt). The research was conducted at the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Madako University Tolitoli, from March to May 2025, using a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two treatment factors. The first factor was the dosage of chicken manure bokashi (B), consisting of B0 = without bokashi, B1 = 5 tons/ha (1 kg/plot), and B2 = 10 tons/ha (2 kg/plot). The second factor was the dosage of NPK Phonska fertilizer (N), consisting of N0 = without NPK, N1 = (80 g/plot or equivalent to 6 g/plant), and N2 = (140 g/plot or equivalent to 11 g/plant). Each treatment combination was replicated three times, resulting in 27 experimental plots. The results showed a significant interaction between chicken manure bokashi and NPK Phonska fertilizer on plant height, number of leaves, fresh cob weight, cob weight with husk, cob length, and number of kernels per row. The best combination was obtained with B2N2 (bokashi 10 tons/ha and NPK Phonska 700 kg/ha), producing a plant height of 166.06 cm, 7.00 leaves, fresh cob weight of 398.06 g, cob weight with husk of 567.78 g, cob length of 22.00 cm, and 40.61 kernels per row.

Abstract

This study explores the role of management accounting and control systems (MACS) as conceptualized through Simons Levers of Control framework in supporting public value creation, contributing to the growing body of literature on public value accounting. Adopting a mixed-method case study approach, which includes document analysis and semi structured interviews, the research uncovers varied applications of control systems within a Dutch university of applied sciences. The findings reveal a divergence in how control mechanisms are utilized. Belief systems and interactive control systems are employed extensively to facilitate strategic change and support the implementation of new strategic directions. In contrast, diagnostic control systems are primarily used at decentralized levels, functioning mainly as instruments to ensure compliance with operational and financial constraints. As such, belief and interactive controls form the core mechanisms for embedding public value considerations within the institution’s strategic orientation, while diagnostic controls serve to regulate activities at the operational level. Additionally, although the institution emphasizes the importance of engaging with external stakeholders, such interactions predominantly occur during the strategy formulation phase, with limited involvement observed during interim evaluations of the strategy, thereby refining the Levers of Control framework in the context of public value creation and demonstrating that contextual and unbalanced control configurations can effectively support public value orientation in higher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media explosion box dalam model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik peserta didik kelas XI kimia SMA Negeri 14 Gowa Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026 pada materi pokok laju reaksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas XI kimia SMA Negeri 14 Gowa yang terdiri dari tiga kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara random sampling yaitu kelas XI.B1, XI.C1 dan kelas XI.A3, sehingga diacak menjadi kelas XI.C1 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 34 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI.B1 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 36 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Variabel bebasnya adalah penggunaan media explosion box dan variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi laju reaksi. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Pengolahan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan teknik analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 84,12 dan kelompok kontrol sebesar 76,25. Uji prasyarat data hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berasal dari populasi yang homogen, namun tidak terdistribusi normal sehingga pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney (uji non-parametrik). Hasil uji hipotesis hasil belajar diperoleh nilai Zhitung > Ztabel maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh media explosion box dalam model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI kimia SMA Negeri 14 Gowa pada materi pokok laju reaksi.
