Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas filsafat pendidikan, bagaimana peran dari filsafat pendidikan dalam pengembangan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan berupa kajian literatur yang dilakukan hanya berdasarkan karya-karya tulis ilmiah. Tujuan artikel ini untuk memberikan gambaran peran filsafat pendidikan dalam pengembangan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa agar kedepannya mampu menghadapi segala tantangan yang terjadi dalam kehidupannya sehingga memiliki kualitas dan kompetensi dalam segala bentuk persaingan. Hasil dari studi kepustakaan menunjukkan bahwa filsafat pendidikan memiliki peran dalam pengembangan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa dapat dilihat dari kemampuan dalam pemecahan masalah, serta berperan penting dalam memainkan pengembangan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dan refleksi nilai-nilai etika. Kemudian untuk pengembangan berpikir kreatif, filsafat pendidikan membantu mahasiswa melalui berbagai langkah efektif berupa kreatif dan inovatif yang penerapannya sehubungan dengan pengajaran filsafat.

Abstract

The use of disposable face masks during the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in the emergence of mask waste polluting aquatic environments due to poor management. This waste will decompose into microfibers which accumulate in aquatic organisms. The combination of vermiremediation with the addition of degrading microorganisms can be one of the solutions for treating disposable mask waste. In this study, Eudrilus eugeniae, an earthworm species, was used in vermiremediation with variations in the treatment by adding indigenous bacterial isolate from the waters of Lampung Bay which has been proven able to degrade disposable masks. The results showed that the vermiremediation technique can be used to degrade disposable masks, indicated by a decrease in mask weight after incubation for two months in the amount of 0.03 grams and 0.05 grams for the treatment with the Eudrilus eugeniae and a combination of bacterial isolate respectively against the initial weight. Lampung Bay indigenous bacterial isolate helped accelerate the mask degradation process in the combined vermiremediation technique. The carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium contents of the compost produced by the vermiremediation process have met the SNI for compost from domestic organic waste.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi, khususnya internet, telah mengubah cara masyarakat dalam mencari dan mengakses informasi, termasuk dalam dunia bisnis dan promosi. Namun, banyak pemilik website masih kurang memahami pentingnya penerapan Search Engine Optimization (SEO) sehingga membuat website mereka sulit ditemukan di mesin pencari. Penelitian ini membahas penerapan teknik SEO menggunakan plugin All In One SEO Pack pada website Original Soundtrack Film dan Musik (OSTFM) berbasis WordPress. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui efektivitas SEO dalam meningkatkan peringkat website pada Search Engine Result Page (SERP) Google. Metode penelitian mencakup analisis sistem, perancangan website, implementasi plugin SEO, serta pengujian menggunakan Google Webmaster Tools dan Google Analytics. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan plugin All In One SEO Pack mampu mengoptimalkan elemen penting dalam SEO seperti meta tag, keyword, deskripsi, dan sitemap XML, sehingga mampu meningkatkan visibilitas website di hasil pencarian. Selain itu, penggunaan kata kunci yang tepat berdasarkan hasil analisis Google AdWords turut mendukung keberhasilan optimasi. Perbandingan antara website yang menggunakan SEO dengan yang tidak menggunakan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah kunjungan dan posisi pencarian. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan teknik SEO dengan bantuan plugin All In One SEO Pack terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan peringkat dan trafik website OSTFM, serta sangat direkomendasikan bagi website berbasis WordPress yang ingin bersaing dalam dunia digital.

Abstract

This study analyzes public sentiment toward two potential candidates for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election, Anies Baswedan and Ridwan Kamil, using Twitter data. Applying the TextBlob model for text extraction and Naive Bayes for sentiment classification found that sentiment toward Anies Baswedan is mostly positive, 52.2%, while neutral sentiment dominates for Ridwan Kamil. The accuracy of the Naive Bayes model reached 80% for Anies Baswedan and 72% for Ridwan Kamil, with higher precision, recall, and F1-score for Anies' data. These results indicate that the model is more accurate in classifying sentiment toward Anies compared to Ridwan Kamil. The implications of these findings are important for political campaign strategies, where Anies can leverage the existing positive support, while Ridwan Kamil has an opportunity to strengthen public engagement through a more strategic approach, in line with the sentiment emerging on social media.

Abstract

Beberapa guru sekolah dasar masih enggan untuk menggunakan media video saat melakukan pembelajaran di kelas. Hal tersebut dikarenakan salah satunya adalah ketidakterampilan guru saat mengkoneksi media videonya dilaptop dan infocus. Penelitian ini menguji dampak media video terhadap keterlibatan dan kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Desain kuasi-eksperimental digunakan 35 siswa di kelompok eksperimen dan 35 siswa di kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam hal keterlibatan dan kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan pada kelompok eksperimen (N-Gain = 39,25%) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (N-Gain = 9,23%). Siswa juga sangat antusias saat menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan guru yang ditampilkan melalui tayangan infocus. Ketertarikan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran ini harus terus dijaga oleh guru melalui media video dan/atau media lainnya. Riset berikutnya bisa dilakukan analisis respon jawaban siswa untuk kreativitas.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low effectiveness of science teaching at the elementary school level due to the minimal use of technology-based media. The research aimed to analyze the effect of Spinning Wheel as an instructional medium on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Panancangan 4, Serang City. A quantitative pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design was employed. The instruments consisted of a learning achievement test (25 multiple-choice and 5 essay items) and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using prerequisite tests, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and descriptive statistics. The findings showed that the average pretest score was 45.17 and the posttest score was 84.89, with minimum–maximum values of 24.00–62.00 and 70.00–97.00, respectively. The Wilcoxon test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of the Spinning Wheel on improving student learning outcomes. In addition, student responses toward the use of this medium were positive, reflected in higher motivation, focus, and active participation during lessons. These results suggest that the Spinning Wheel is effective as an interactive medium that not only enhances academic achievement but also fosters a more engaging and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Therefore, the application of simple technology-based media such as the Spinning Wheel can serve as an alternative strategy for teachers to optimize science learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

Liquid waste from the steel industry processing, washing machine, and kitchenware foundry contained the elements of copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), and manganese (Mn). The effluent samples were destructed using concentrated HNO3. Then determined the concentration of the elements copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), and manganese (Mn) using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer with a calibration curve. The results obtained for the level of copper (Cu) on the sample inlet was 0.9714 mg/L to 0.9719 mg/L, and the sample outlet was 3.9990 mg/L to 4.0002 mg/L. Levels of the element chromium (Cr) on sample inlet was 0.0295 mg/L to 0.0297 mg/L, the sample outlet was 0.0399 mg/L to 0.0400 mg/L. Meanwhile, the level of manganese (Mn) in the sample inlet was 0.1269 mg/L to 0.1271 mg/L in a sample outlet was 2.9699 mg/L to 2.9701 mg/L. Then the steel industry wastewater for elemental copper (Cu) and manganese (Mn) exceeded the limits that have been instituted by the Minister of Environment Decree No. 51, 1995, regarding the Liquid Waste Quality Standard for Industrial Activity.

Abstract

The Wireless LAN (WLAN) network at the Air Limau Village Office faces operational challenges in the form of connection slowdowns during high loads, dependence on primary devices, and weak security protocols. This study aims to optimize the performance of the WLAN network and improve its security and performance. The method used is a SWOT analysis to map strategic factors and network measurement using the QoS (Quality of Service) method. The QoS test results show that the network performance is mostly in the "very good" to "good" category for the Packet Loss, Delay, and Jitter parameters. However, the test data indicates a significant performance decline at certain times, where the Throughput value drops to 299kbps (lowest) from the morning average (1688kbps), which validates the slowdown during peak hours. Strategically, the SWOT analysis highlights weaknesses in the centralized architecture (tree topology) and external threats. Based on these findings, the proposed solution is to optimize the topology to a hybrid to increase flexibility and redundancy, accompanied by regular maintenance and upgrades to the network infrastructure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design and develop an information system for boarding house (kost) search in the Plaju area of Palembang using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The system aims to facilitate students and newcomers in finding available boarding houses efficiently without the need to visit each location manually. This study was motivated by the challenges faced by students from outside Palembang who struggle to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about available kosts near their campuses. The research applied the RAD methodology, which emphasizes fast and iterative development through three main stages: requirement planning, design workshop, and implementation. Data were collected through observation and literature studies to analyze user needs and system requirements. The system was developed using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL, with Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools such as use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams used to model the system. Black-box testing was performed to evaluate system functionality. The resulting web-based application allows users to view detailed kost information, including prices, facilities, and locations, and to contact the owner directly via WhatsApp. The system also includes features for admin and owner management of kost data. Testing results show that all system functions performed as expected, and the RAD approach enabled faster development and higher user satisfaction. The RAD-based kost information system successfully streamlines the search and management of kost data in Plaju. It improves accessibility and efficiency for users and owners. Future improvements could include Android integration, enhanced user interface design, and online hosting for broader accessibility.
