Abstract

In the teachings of the Islamic religion, a person's religiousness can not only be realized through ritual activities, but also seen from several other views. Among them, in terms of faith, this is characterized by a strong belief in a person's heart that Allah is his God. Religious values have a very important role in human life, because in every religion there are values that serve as guidelines for society, nation and state. A religious attitude can encourage individuals to have a strong moral framework, find meaning in life, and feel connected to something bigger than themselves. The importance of these religious values has been recognized in various studies. This research approach is to use qualitative research, data presented in the form of verbal words, not in the form of numbers. In this research, primary data was obtained from interviews with the community around the mosque and also interviews with teenagers from the Al-Muslimin mosque. . Abstract

The increase in waste from construction and daily human activities has raised environmental concerns, particularly the disposal of non-biodegradable materials such as glass and granite. This study investigates the potential use of glass bottle waste and granite waste as partial substitutes for coarse aggregates in normal concrete. The objective is to evaluate their influence on the compressive strength of concrete with a target strength of 20 MPa. Experimental tests were conducted using cylindrical specimens (15 cm × 30 cm), incorporating 3% glass waste and varying granite waste contents (3%, 5%, 8%, and 10%). A total of 45 specimens were tested at curing ages of 7, 14, and 28 days. The results show that the highest compressive strength of 25.20 MPa was achieved with 3% glass and 3% granite waste, surpassing the design strength. However, increasing granite content beyond 3% led to a gradual strength reduction. The findings indicate that limited substitution of both wastes is feasible without compromising structural performance. Future research should optimize mix design parameters to improve efficiency and explore higher substitution levels for environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study investigates informal English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning in immersive virtual reality (VR) environments, focusing on play-based interactions within a community of DVVerb users in VRChat. The research aims to examine how language development, identity formation, and peer interaction emerge in unstructured virtual spaces. Employing a qualitative virtual ethnography approach, data were collected through 90 hours of participatory observation, twelve semi-structured voice interviews, and multimodal artifact analysis. Findings indicate that VRChat serves as an affinity space that promotes meaningful, self-directed English practice beyond formal instruction. Participants reported improvements in speaking fluency, pragmatic competence, and sociocultural awareness through game-based tasks, role-play with avatars, and peer scaffolding. Avatars and spatial cues reduced speaking anxiety and encouraged risk-taking, while regular social rituals, such as storytelling nights and team quests, provided continuous language opportunities and peer feedback. Challenges included ineffective language use, potential disruptions, technological limitations, and reliance on learner motivation. The study concludes that VR environments offer rich, immersive contexts for informal EFL learning, supporting autonomous, socially mediated, and experiential development. These findings have practical and theoretical implications for digital language education, demonstrating that virtual “digital tribes” can foster community-based learning and complement traditional classroom instruction.

Abstract

Educational policy serves as a strategic foundation in national development, as it directly influences the quality of human resources produced. This article comprehensively examines three key aspects within the realm of public policy, namely problem formulation, educational policy formulation, and policy adoption. The method employed in this study is a literature review. In the problem formulation stage, emphasis is placed on the importance of accurately and systematically identifying issues so that the resulting policies are relevant to societal needs and capable of addressing contemporary challenges. Furthermore, policy formulation is analyzed by considering the role of internal and external factors, the application of policy theories, as well as the contributions of various actors involved in the process of drafting and establishing educational policies. In terms of policy adoption, this article reviews best practices from countries with excellent education systems, such as Finland, Japan, and South Korea, while also exploring the potential for their implementation in the Indonesian context. The integration of these three aspects is expected to foster educational policies that are more adaptive, democratic, inclusive, and oriented toward the sustainable improvement of human resource quality.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood sugar resulting from decreased insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells and/or impaired insulin function (insulin resistance). Over the last 50 years, there has been a rapid increase in the prevalence of diabetes, paralleling the rise in obesity rates. This study aims to develop a diagnostic model for type 2 DM using C4.5, incorporating feature selection and analyzing age and gender parameters of Type II DM patients. The research employs the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM). Based on the dataset used, the C4.5 model demonstrated superior performance compared to SVM and Random Forest, achieving an AUC value of 72.5%, indicating a reasonably good classification level. The predominant gender among Type II DM patients is female, comprising 210 patients or 54.8% in the age range of 18-94 years, while 173 male patients or 45.2% fall within the age range of 23-80 years.

Abstract

: Educational technology is a continuously evolving discipline alongside advances in information and communication technology. In education, it encompasses the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning based on pedagogical principles. This article explores the concept of educational technology through three main aspects: definition, historical development, and instructional design models. The study employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from academic sources such as textbooks, indexed journals, and education policy documents. The analysis is based on key theories from experts such as Seels & Richey, Reiser, and instructional design models including ADDIE, Dick & Carey, and Kemp. The findings show that educational technology has evolved from visual teaching aids into a complex and adaptive learning system. Its history reflects a transition from the pre-digital era to the age of networked learning and artificial intelligence. Instructional design serves as a crucial framework to ensure effective and learner-centered use of technology. The integration of learning theories—behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism strengthens its application. In conclusion, a comprehensive understanding of educational technology’s definition, history, and design is essential to address modern educational challenges and to create effective and sustainable learning processes in the digital era.
