Abstract

Indonesia Is a country that has a wealth of natural resources, the Coal Mining Commodity is one of the natural resources exploited in Indonesia. The exploitation of coal cannot be separated from environmental impacts. The environmental impacts of open-pit mining activities include: decreased soil productivity, soil compaction, erosion and sedimentation, soil movement, disruption of flora and fauna, disruption of security and health of the population, and changes in micro-climate. Reclamation is an activity carried out during the stages of a mining business to organize, restore and improve the quality of the environment and ecosystem so that it can function again. The research method in this research is to assess the success of the implementation of reclamation in accordance with the Permenhut Nomor P.60 Menhut-II/ 2009. In assessing the success of reclamation implementation, the stages of activities carried out are surveys, reference studies, sampling, scoring and weighting, and analysis. The implementation of reclamation at PT Binuang Mitra Bersama can be concluded that it is known that the Achievement of Land Arrangement based on the weight value obtained a figure of 28.5 from a maximum weight value of 30, Achievement of Erosion and Sedimentation Control based on the weight value obtained a number of 10 from a maximum weight value of 20, Planting achievement based on the weight value obtained a number of 26 from the maximum weight value of 50. The total value calculation is obtained by a value of 63.5 which indicates that the results of the reclamation implementation are included in the Medium criteria or the results of the reclamation implementation are accepted, provided that improvements are needed to reach a value of> 80.

Abstract

The assessment of the success rate of reclamation uses a reference assessment of PERMENHUT 60 of 2009 with scoring of three criteria, namely: Land arrangement with a score of 30%, control of erosion and sedimentation with a score of 20%, and revegetation with a score of 50%. The reclamation success rate assessment result based on the total score is both >80, medium 60-80, and ugly <60. The implementation of reclamation of mining business permits based on the calculation of the total value obtained a value of 48.5 which shows that the reclamation results are included in the ugly criteria (reclamation results are unacceptable and intensive maintenance is needed), so it is necessary to carry out reclamation repairs. The reclamation criteria that received a less assessment was the implementation of revegetation which had the lowest value, namely, 14 out of 50 weights and erosion and sedimentation control had a value of 12 out of 20, while land management had a value of 22.5 out of a weight of 30. Activities that can be carried out to improve reclamation on former mining business permit land are land management, reducing landslides, erosion, and sedimentation, improving the quality of physical and chemical soil properties with regular fertilization and liming, spraying pesticides, cleaning cover crop windings on plants periodically carried out, reselecting cover crops, selecting sengon plants as pioneer plants, selection of jackfruit plants as local insert crops, then the commitment of policymakers in the implementation of reclamation, fulfillment of labor competencies, remaking of erosion and sedimentation control facilities, and providing facilities and infrastructure for breeding diverse plants.

Abstract

The mining and plantation sector has a vital role in increasing GRDP and provides a positive multiplier effect on output, added value, income, and labor. However, on the other hand, it also has a negative impact on increasing environmental damage and climate change, resulting in flood disasters in almost all areas of South Kalimantan. Disaster mitigation planning is the main key to disaster management. This research compiles a post-flood management plan, especially in Karang Intan Sub-district. This research is quantitative research. The method used is a spatial analysis by overlaying the flood water level with objects in it such as houses, roads, and people. Objects that are vulnerable to flooding are those located at flood water levels above class 2 (TMA=0.1-0.5 meters). The number of houses that are vulnerable to being affected is 2,107 units, consisting of 697 units of safe flood conditions, 170 units of safe enough, and 1,239 units of vulnerable. Based on this, the evacuation point was determined as many as 23 points with the most evacuation point coverage, namely evacuation point number 22, which can reach 340 houses in Sungai Alang Village.

Abstract

Mining activities in forest areas are carried out by granting borrow-to-use permits for forest areas by taking into account area limitations and certain time periods as well as environmental sustainability. Problems caused after mining include infertile soil, acidic pH, and low nutrients. These problems can be overcome by reclamation activities to improve and restore land functions to a better and more productive condition. Reclamation activities carried out include land arrangement, erosion and sedimentation control, and revegetation (Ministry of Forestry, 2009). The approach used in this study is descriptive quantitative, with a research implementation time of 6 (six) months. The object of this study is the object of this study is the assessment of reclamation and revegetation in the 2016 and 2017 planting years at PT. Binuang Mitra Bersama in Block 1 and PT. X in Block 4 based on Minister of Forestry Regulation No. P.60/Menhut-II of 2009 concerning Guidelines for Evaluating the Success of Forest Reclamation and Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 1827K/30/MEM/2018 of 2018 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Good Mining Engineering Principles. The results of the assessment of the success rate of reclamation based on the parameters of revegetation according to KEPMEN ESDM NO. 1827 K/30/MEM/ 2018 for PT. BMB reached 66.19% or good criteria, for the percentage of plant growth was 85%, included in the good category with 80% planting local types of plants and PT.X reached 57.62% or not good criteria because the results of the assessment of planting cover crops were only 0 .5%, planting fast growing plants is only 2% and planting local plant species is only 1%. While the results of the assessment of the success rate of reclamation are based on the parameters of revegetation according to the Minister of Forestry Regulation no. P.60/Menhut-II Year 2009 for PT. BMB reaches 75% with a good success rate, for planting indicators with 4 (four) parameters weighing 4 (four) values and 1 (one) parameter weighing 1 (one) because the presentation is only 33.86% categorized as reclamation <60%, this because there are still temporary residential buildings and places for standby equipment for excavators and PT.X, the plant health value reaches 55%, the success rate is included in the bad category.

Abstract

Tabanio Watershed which is one of 4 (four) large watersheds covering 7 (seven) of 11 (eleven) sub-districts in Tanah Laut Regency, has a very large role in providing water which is characterized by the function of the Tabanio river itself as a source of raw material for the PDAM. . In addition, 57.6% of the food comes from paddy fields and dry fields and 66.10% of the food comes from livestock, both cows and broilers, which support food supply in Tanah Laut Regency. Changes in land use over a period of time have reduced catchment areas and water bodies. The purpose of this study was to determine the environmental carrying capacity based on ecosystem services for water and food providers in the Tabanio watershed in 2010, 2015 and 2020 and to determine changes from 2010 to 2015 and from 2015 to 2020. The carrying capacity of the ecosystem services based on the ecosystem services of water and food providers in the Tabanio watershed in 2010, 2015 and 2020 is dominated by the medium classification and has a steady trend, but there is still a decline in ecosystem services from changes in land cover mainly due to the expansion of plantation land which reached 17,257.93 Ha and settlement expansion of 2,272.20 Ha. In addition, there was a decrease in the area of dry land agriculture which reached 20,200.15 Ha.

Abstract

Problems in the Maluka watershed such as flood disasters are an indication that the management of the Maluka watershed still needs continuous and targeted improvement, one indication of the cause of the flood problem is the high rate of erosion in the Maluka watershed, several studies have been conducted in parts of the Maluka watershed area, but comprehensive erosion rate data in the Maluka watershed area still does not exist so that this Erosion Rate Estimation research with the E30 Model can be an answer and will produce data in the form of Geospatial data that can be a reference for watershed management information systems,  The research method uses the E30 Model which only requires three parameters, namely NDVI data obtained from Sentinel 2-MSI Imagery, slope data obtained from DEM data and sample data of the miminum erosion rate and maximum erosion rate in the Maluka watershed at a slope of 30 degrees taken during one year, from field sample data shows a minimum erosion rate of 29.23 mm/year and a maximum erosion rate of 83.67 mm/year, analysis of erosion rate estimation with the E30 model in the Maluka watershed shows the highest erosion rate in the Maluka watershed 1. 000- 1,299.72 tonnes/ha/year covering 128 hectare, 0.15% of the Maluka watershed area.  The smallest erosion rate in the Maluka watershed is 0-15 tonnes/ha/year covering 8,180 hectare, 9% of the Maluka watershed area.  Very severe Erosion Hazard Level (IV-SB) is located in the upper area of the Maluka watershed which is dominated by steep slopes, especially in the Banyu irang sub-watershed which does have a higher slope level than the Bati-bati sub-watershed.  The erosion rate of 180-480, which indicates Severe Erosion Hazard Level (III-B), is spread over more gentle areas, while Moderate Erosion Hazard Level (III-S) dominates in the middle and lower reaches of the Maluka watershed.
