Abstract

Abstract. The mining has to identify the hazards, assess the associated risks and bring the risks to tolerable level on a continuous basis. The number of work accidents in the company are tend to increase, not only that statistic data but also the effectife temperature between 27-29 oC in the tunnel, dangerous mining gases, and lack of use of personal protective equipment by workers, and lack of identification of hazards in some work environments. Based on the problem, this study aims to reveal the application of the company's OSH, statistics on workplace accidents, potential hazards in the work environment and recommend several standard operating procedures. The results of work accident statistics at PT Cahaya Bumi Perdana from 2012-2017 showed that there were fluctuations in the severity and frequency of accidents, with an average FR value is 39.6 and an SR value is 38 days lost. The hazards cannot be completely eliminated, but the hazards of the work environment can be minimized. in this research we are using JSA and JHA methods to identifying and analysing the hazards associated with an activity. JSA and JHA used to identify work hazards in ventilation, supporting systems, lori transportation, and coal replacement. After doing the hazards identification, to controlling it will be given a recommendation. Not only made a hazards identification but also to creating a Standard Operating Procedure for a few jobs. With analyze Both of that requirement, it should be making an eazy ways to forming a management system of occuptional safety and health.Keywords: Safety, Health, Hazards, Mining, Underground

Abstract

This final project is based on the partially fragmentation which the boulders blasting results more than 80cms that intervene the crusher’s performance. The purpose of this Final Project is to get the exact value of powder factor; in order to attain the value of fragmentation up to 80 with optimally hold on 10%.The methodology problem that used is finding the value of rock factor by using Monte Carlo simulation and calculate the effect of powder factor on fragmentation with linear regression.The result of this final project is attained the value of rock factor 5.01 by using Monte Carlo simulation and the relationship between powder factor with the fragmentation is 72% with equation Y = -102,89X + 50,086. Based on its calculation, to attain the maximum result of fragmentation holding up to 10%, therefore the exact value of powder factor is 0,389.

Abstract

The things that should be success parameter of mining company is the amount of its production. Loading and hauling equipments performance will determine production planning. Unproductive working hours directly also be an affect from unappropiate work system. As the draft of this research, the author examine the data of its equipments cycle time so that it can be obtained the details working hours of equipments such as effective working hours, and working hours obstacles. The methodology of this research used quantitative analysis approachment which the biggest point should be done to reach the goals of this research is to examine the data and make a detail of working hours such as the number of annual equipments and then evaluated it, thus it would be obtained the production. The results showed the average of equipments was working about 3.55 hours/day with production getting (25,417.997 ton). Then the autors do an evaluation, if working hours is increased to 5 hours/day, then it also will increase more than (35,819.3467 ton) and additional revenue from (Rp. 12,708,998,500) be (Rp. 17,909,673,800).

Abstract

PT. Semen Padang has a 31-lane conveyor system for limestone transportation and 6 lanes for transport of silicastone delivered from 4 units of limestone crusher, 1 unit of mosher silica to 5 industrial plants. Belt conveyor at PT. Semen Padang has different sizes so that the capacity of each belt for the delivery of raw materials will differ according to the delivery path. Therefore, production capacity of conveyor belt will depend on its minimum production capacity. PT. Semen Padang in the long-term 5 years plan to increase production target of 12,300.00 tons in 2021. Thus, it is necessary a technical study and evaluation so that belt conveyor can be used. In this research, combined between theory with field data, so get problem solving approach. And the results of data processing will be analyzed for subsequent to be generated a recommendation.  Based on the results of research conducted can be summed up some of the following. First, the minimum production capacity of conveyor belt in limestone delivery is 1,744,954 ton / hour and silicastone 1,484,922 ton / hour. Second, the design of a limestone delivery line is a new belt carry connecting A1J12C-6A1J07 and A1J12B-A4J13. Third, several anticipations in increasing production targets include: adding mosher silica to the pit limit area, crushing conveying need for maintenance before operation, decrease material size before entering the hopper.  Keywords:  Productivity, Work Efficiency, Belt Conveyor, Limestone, Silicastone

Abstract

Based on the data obtained from the company, the data accidents that occurred between the years 2012-2014 there were 222 cases of accidents, as well as activities that are harmful to workers at risk of injury, lost work days, and the cost of repair tools. The causes of such unsafe acts and unsafe conditions of the workers. The purpose of this study were: 1) Revealing the dangers that occur in coal mining activities. 2) Uncover the risk of hazards that occur in the coal mining activities. 3) Disclose the value of the likelihood and severity of hazards that occur in the coal mining activities start from land clearing activities until the loading of coal in the stockpile.This type of research is descriptive with quantitative approach, in which data is collected or obtained from direct observation in the field and interviews with leaders and staff as well as employees of the company who are competent in connection with the object of research. The data is taken from the data mining activities, the risk of hazards that occur in the coal mining activities.Results of the study revealed that the risk of hazards that occur in the coal mining activities at PT. Kuansing core affluent who are at a high level going on the road hauling.

Abstract

From the research can be seen that the incidence of property damageaccidents increased. This is caused of unsafe conditions and unsafe work acts,inconsistent in supervising the K3 management system, lack of knowledge, employeeawareness and concern about K3. The absence of sanctions against employees whoviolate K3. The purpose of this study is to reveal whether PT. CBP has implementedK3 principles in accordance with the principles of K3 mine, reveals whethersupervisors and miners have implemented K3 principles, disclosing the extent ofoccupational risk, disclosing the causes of accidents, and disclosing the percentage ofunsafe and unsafe events.In carrying out this research, combined theory and direct interview withfield data, so that both of them got problem solving approach.Based on the results of the research conducted can be concluded thefollowing points. First, the factors that cause property damage accidents includehuman factors, equipment factors and environmental factors. Second, there are stillmany unsafe and unsafe practices. Third, the percentage of accidents for unsafe actsis 60.71% and for unsafe conditions is 39.29%. And the cause of the accidentproperty damage in PT. Cakra Bumi Pertiwi is a matter of implementation of K3policy in management, which subindicator is supporting activity, capabilityguarantee, and ability guarantee.

Abstract

Coal handling activities at Muara Tiga Besar has done with two methods, coal from BWE’s bait will transport by BWE system to temporary stockpile MTB before it toward to reclaim feeder 1 and coal from mining front will transport by dump truck to reclaim feeder 2. Coal from MTB will transport to stockpile 2 by CHF MTB. Coal target production of stockpile 2 on March 2018 are 500.000 ton. Incompleteness of coal production on March 2018 caused by some factors, there are high of hitch hour at CHF’s path on March 2018, low capacity production of coal conveyor-22, and unoptimal setting of reclaim feeder speed. Research Methods used in this thesis is a quantitative research method. Efforts that can be made to achieve production targets in March are like increasing the daily work efficiency of reclaim feeder 1 which was originally 83.33% to be 92.85% so that the total rate of coal receipts that could be received by the coal handling facility 2 experienced an increase from 1,429.4 tons / hour to be 1,606.5 tons / hour. In addition, efforts that can be done are increasing the productivity of bulldozers, monitoring the mining front to avoid transporting rock packs, and synchronizing speed reclaim feeders.Keywords:  Coal handling facility, Coal Mining, Reclaim Feeder, Production, Work Efficiency.

Abstract

PT. Guguk Tinggi Coal, is a coal mining company located in salak village, Talawi, Sawahlunto city, West Sumatra province. In executing the mining accidents that often occur is influenced by the perception of employee knowledge about K3 norms and the high level of accident risk that occurs. The purpose of this study to reveals the perception of employes PT. Guguk Tinggi Coal About the safety norm, Reveals the risk persentage of work accident occurring at PT. Guguk Tinggi Coal.Data collected or obtained directly from the respondents with direct observation in the field and direct interviews with employees that competent in companies and have relation with the object of research. The data taken are the conditions in the environment (mining area to the stock of the workplace files) as well as potential hazards that may occur, the employee's knowledge of safety norms and work programs of K3 management, workers' responses to the programs undertaken by K3 management.The results obtained are the employee's knowledge about K3 and how to evaluate the work activities are still low with the results obtained by the questionnaire test with a value of 3.35 for the implementation and 3.21 for the evaluation of this category is still quite good, there are still factors of work accident from unsafe conditions and unsafe actions, PT.Guguk Tinggi Coal should form a special management for K3 and provide training and guidance on the importance of occupational safety and health, management is also required to always evaluate the activities of the workers in intensive mining activities.

Abstract

The quality of coal is influenced by the geological condition of a mining site, including high quality (higt quality), medium quality, and low quality. The amount of coal with calorific value ranges from 7600 kcal / kg to 7800 kcal / kg that has not been marketed accumulate in stockpile CV. Tahiti Coal. The high quality of coal in the CV. Tahiti Coal then not in accordance with the contract specifications with consumers. One of them with PT PLN (PERSERO) Sector Ombilin which require coal calorie 6300 kkal / kg. Therefore it is necessary for action to utilize high quality coal so as not to accumulate in CV stockpile. Tahiti Coal by mixing high quality coal with low quality coal.The simplex method is one of the mathematical models that can be used in solving the problem of allocation of finite sources optimally (maximum profit or minimum cost) of three or more variables.The results showed that the increase of calorific value from 6,283,08 Cal / gr, Ash 13,91%, sulfur 0,83% company result compared to comparison of method of calorific value value 6,328 Cal / gr, Ash 12,06%, sulfur 0.61% can be profitable for companies with a predetermined calorie value of 6,300 Cal / gr, Ash 13%, 0.8% sulfur. With the calculation of simplex method of the company can ease of work in the field. And calculation of coal blending cost for 1 month Rp. Abstract

The purpose of the health and safety program K3 in the company is to keep employees  good in work and anticipate an accident. Unsafe action and unsafe condition are the direct caused of the accident happen. It can anticipate by improve the  SMK3 management sistem.  Knowledge, attitude, and the act of employees are the factors that influence  the management system woking. Well, this research  purpose to know the K3 Management Sistem working or not.This research is could be classified as to the kind of research of correlational. The population on this research is all employees of which are at work unit and means of mining engineering PT.Bukit Asam (Persero ) Tbk, UPO that total about 22. Data collection by using a questionnaire that has been tested validity and reliabilitasnya. Furthermore, the data mixed with use a computer program spss 15.0. version.The results from this research is there are significant relationship between knowledge with the application of the K3,  between the attitude with the application of the K3, between the act of an employee with the application of the K3. It Can be concluded that from  three factors are having a  significant relation toward K3  applicate on PT .Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk, UPO, Sawahlunto, of West Sumatra. In this case, the company should be enrich the employees knowledge about K3, make a lot of guidelines about the health and safety of employment in the area by mining, and  the socialization regularly and sustainable covering all aspects.
