Abstract

Financial compensation has an important impact for the company and employees, which in this case is the employees of the Surabaya branch of Ayam Bakar Pak D. However, the problem is whether Financial Compensation has optimally contributed so that it can support the achievement of company goals. This research focuses on how Financial Compensation is able to improve employee’s Affective Organizational Commitments so that employee’s Turnover Intention rates can be lower. The variables used in this study are Direct Financial Compensation, Indirect Financial Compensation, Affective Organizational Commitment, and Turnover Intention. This study uses quantitative approach by using questionnaire and Path Analysis method. Respondents of this study are 94 employees in each outlet of the Surabaya branch of Ayam Bakar Pak D. The results of this study indicate that Direct Financial Compensation and Indirect Financial Compensation will increase if Affective Organizational Commitment also increase and Turnover Intention will decrease if Direct Financial Compensation and Affective Organizational Commitment also increase. However, an increase of Indirect Financial Compensation does not impact the increase/decrease of Turnover Intention. Whereas Affective Organizational Commitment mediates the impact of Direct Financial Compensation on Turnover Intention. However, Affective Organizational Commitment does not mediate the impact of Indirect Financial Compensation on Turnover Intention.

Abstract

Innovative behavior is one of the requirements to survive in the field that are hard, competitive, challenging, high-risk and speculative as world trade. Similarly, the existence of a trading business carried on women can not be separated from the innovative behavior, whereas on the other hand women are also faced with the primary responsibility of the family. That directs human behavior to act not apart of the culture surrounding the actors. Based on this, presumably interesting to study about differences in innovative behavior of women traders Javanese, Madurese and Chinese in Surabaya. Sources of data obtained by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews in 394 women traders convection type in one of the wholesale center in the city of Surabaya, which was selected as the study respondents. This study is a quantitative research method research design ANOVA (F-test). The findings of this research are innovative behavioral differences merchant woman of Javanese, Madurese and Chinese.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of safety climate on job accident at employees of PT. Panca Wana Indonesia with safety behavior as intervening variable. The research was conducted on supervisor and employees at operational and production department with a sample of 87 persons. The analysis technique used is a path analysis. The independent variable in this research is the safety climate (X), is the intervening variable safety behavior (Z), and the dependent variable is job accident (Y). Results of this study indicate that safety climate has direct effect and significant on job accident is proved, because it has a significance value (Sig) t 0,000 less than the significance level (α) of 5% t, and safety climate is proved has a effect on job accident with safety behavior as intervening variable, because the value of significance (Sig) t variable safety climate to safety behavior, and safety behavior to job accident are 0,000, is smaller than the value significance level (α) by 5%.

Abstract

Current bussiness world move dynamically and require organization’s effectiveness in implementation of policy changes as a form of company's efforts towards becoming a World Class Company. Organizations mostly have always introduced large or minor changes which are adaptive. Therefore, any changes in organization must be planned and managed at best. The process of changes must be managed skillfully in order to effectively implemented align with the interests of the organization. PT Pertamina (Persero) had implemented Single Grade policy as the organization effort in the implementation of changes.These studies describe the process of change that have occured in PT Pertamina (Persero) Marketing Operation Region V with 17 (seventeen) key element of diagnosing changes by using the model of Readiness for change by Stewart namely sponsorship, leadership, motivation, direction, measurements, organizational context, processes or functions, competitor benchmarking, customer focus, rewards, organizational structure, communication, organizational hierarchy, prior experience with change, morale, innovation, and decision making. These studies used qualitative research method with explanatory type research (explanatory). These studies use a holistic case study, using interviews, observation and see the company's internal documents to obtain the necessary data.The results show that there is a real effort of PT Pertamina (Persero) Marketing Operation Region V in making changes. The process of changes shown in seventeen key elements of diagnosing changes resulted in increased employee performance. The company’s effort in implementing changes encouraged employees to improve their competence and self ability, and also to be fully responsible for the tasks given. The process of changes is still underway and requires continuous monitoring and evaluation, in order to understand the development of changes so it always evolving towards the better. Subsequent studies can be done with more evidence sources and different methods.

Abstract

Safety management practices not only improve working conditions but also positively influence employees’ attitudes and behaviours with regard to safety, thereby reducing accidents in workplace. This study measured employees’ perceptions on six safety management practices and self-reported safety knowledge, safety motivation, safety compliance and safety participation.The study conducting a survey using questionnaire among 69 pelaksana Produksi Pabrik III PT. Petrokimia Gresik. The reliability and validity of all the indicators were found acceptable. Data are analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS version 2.0.The result is safety management practices have direct and significant influence to safety performance, safety management practices have indirect and significant influence to safety performance through safety knowledge, and safety management practices have indirect influence to safety performance through safety motivation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSyarihub adalah pionir layanan transportasi online khusus wanita dan anak – anak di Indonesia. hadir dari keresahan masyarakat, khususnya wanita muslim yang merasakan sulitnya bermobilisasi dengan rasa aman, nyaman serta sekaligus dapat menjaga dirinya dari lawan jenis yang bukan mahrom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasaan kerja pada pengendara ojek online Syarihub. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksploratif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 50 orang pengemudi ojek online Syarihub di Kota Surabaya, Pengumpulan data menggunakan Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisa faktor dengan tahap analisis deskriptif yaitu memberikan gambaran tentang data yang dimiliki. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor determinan kepuasaan kerja pengemudi ojek Syarihub terdiri dari faktor kompensasi, faktor Supervision Human Relations, faktor kondisi kerja, faktor kebijakan perusahaan dan implementasinya, faktor variasi, faktor status sosial. Keenam faktor variabel tersebut dapat dikatakan sebagai variabel baru yang berpengaruh terhadap kepuasaan kerja pengemudi ojek Syarihub. Kata kunci: Kepuasan kerja, Analisis Faktor, Pengemudi Ojek Online Syar'i. ABSTRACTSyarihub is the pioneer of Indonesia's online ride hailling service for women and children and hiring women riders. Syarihub comes from the need of society, especially muslim women who find it difficult to find a secure and comfortabel transportation that at the same time enable them to keep herself separated from the opposite gender. This study aims to find out determinant factors are influencing job satisfaction's female online motorcycle taxi drivers who work in Syarihub. This study is an explorative quantitative research by collecting data using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The research subjects were online Syarihub motorcycle taxi drivers who work in Surabaya totaling 50 people.  Data collected using Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). The data analysis technique used in this study is a factor analysis technique with a descriptive analysis stage that provides an overview of the data held. The results showing that the determinants factors are influencing job satisfaction of Syarihub motorcycle taxi drivers consist of compensation factor, human relations supervisory factor, working conditions factor, corporate policy factors and implementation, variation factors, social status factors. Abstract

Previous research has tested the effect of cultural intelligence on voice behaviour by using transformational leadership as a mediating variable. This study presents a different perspective using the ethical leadership variable as a mediation. This study examines the effect of cultural intelligence on voice behaviour with ethical leadership as a mediating variable. Research data were collected from 492 employees of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. The results showed that cultural intelligence significantly affected employee voice behaviour and ethical leadership, mediating cultural intelligence and employee voice behaviour. This research can be used as a reference for application in multicultural organizations, especially in voice behaviour.

Abstract

Until mid-2020, the composition of the number of employees of the millennialgeneration, which reached 68.68% at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Raya Surabaya Branch,had a major impact on the company's sustainability if not managed properly. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the effect of a supportive work environment on employee retention mediated by organizational engagement at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Surabaya Raya Branch. This research is a quantitative study using a questionnaire distributed to 86 millennial generations at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Branch Surabaya Raya. Hypothesis testing is processed by PLS (Partial Least Square). The results showed that a supportive work environment had a positive effect on employee retention and organizational engagement could partially mediate the effect of a supportive work environment on employee retention at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Surabaya.

Abstract

Perdagangan seringkali dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang menjanjikan untuk mendatangkan kekayaan. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan keberhasilan pedagang adalah karena perilaku inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perilaku inovatif terhadap keberhasilan wanita beretnis Madura di ITC Mega Grosir Surabaya. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari perilaku inovatif terdiri dari opportunity exploration, generativity, formative investigation, championing, dan application . Sampel penelitian ini adalah 95 wanita pedagang beretnis Madura Pengujian hipotesis mengunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel opportunity exploration, generativity dan formative investigation tidak menunjukkan pengaruh pada keberhasilan sedangkan variabel championing dan application terbukti berpengaruh pada keberhasilan womenpreneur etnis Madura yang berdagang pakaian jadi di ITC Mega Grosir Surabaya.

Abstract

Syarihub is a social business startup initiated by two young people in Surabaya which is engaged in application-based public service transportation. Conscious of challenging its predecessors like Gojek, Grab and Uber; Syarihub chose to serve only for women and children. Facing many tight business competition in the application-based and preaching-based public service transportation business; Syarihub management tries to be observant in formulating strategies. As a social business, storytelling is considered as the best way to share and convey social values. Stories represent experiences, telling stories coordinate the past and hopes for the future. The aim of this study is to determine whether storytelling is a proper promotional media for Syarihub as a social business and to find out the storytelling strategy that has been implemented by Syarihub, especially in facing challenges its flapping business wings. The study approaches used descriptive qualitative with primary data sources (interviews with the founder and manager of Syarihub) and secondary data used the study of literature from various posts made by Syarihub on websites, social media and media coverage published from 2015 to 2019. The results showed that storytelling is the most appropriate media for social business, and the storytelling strategy adopted by Syarihub came from data driven storytelling, Philanthropic storytelling, Customer-led storytelling and immersive story telling. As a result, it has met the principles of effective storytelling, called TRUTH (Topical, Relevant, Unusual , Trouble, Human).
