The purpose of this activity is to provide assistance and training for students in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan in Special Region of Yogyakarta to have a commitment not to show one of the aggression behaviors in Yogyakarta which is often called klitih. One form of this behavior is that teenagers injure another teenager intentionally and without reason (done randomly to the victim) by injuring the victim with various tools when the victim is riding a motorcycle. The method used in this activity was training and mentoring for students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan. The product of this activity is the emergence of a community in a school that is engaged in providing counseling and support for friends who are having problems and who are at risk of being involved in making a klitih behavior.

Hasil belajar yang maksimal merupakan salah satu pencapaian yang diharapkan oleh siswa, termasuk orang tuanya. Namun, berbagai masalah tentang belajar siswa di sekolah menjadi masalah yang masih dialami oleh siswa. Sebagai contohnya siswa yang enggan melakukan proses belajar yang mandiri dan bahkan siswa cenderung belajar jika dikendalikan oleh guru di sekolah. Permasalahan tersebut tergolong siswa yang kurang mampu mengoptimalkan keterampilan self-regulated learning. Salah satu yang mengindikasi dan mempreduksi tingkat self-regulated learning adalah keberadaan kedua orang tua di rumah siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan tingkat self-regulated learning berdasarkan siswa yang tinggal bersama kedua orang tuanya dengan siswa yang tinggal tidak bersama kedua orang tuanya. Penelitian ini melibatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 415 siswa SMK Muhammadiyah di Kota Yogyakarta yang diambil menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Sampel terdiri dari 143 siswa tidak tinggal bersama orang tuanya dan 272 siswa tinggal bersama kedua orang tuanya. Tingkat self-regulated learning diukur menggunakan skala self-regulated learning. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan rata-rata skor self-regulated learning siswa SMK yang tinggal dengan kedua orang tuanya dengan siswa siswa yang tidak tinggal dengan kedua orang tuanya. Hasil penelitian ini seyogyanya menjadi dasar bagi konselor untuk meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa dengan melibatkan unsur internal pada diri siswa buka unsur eksternal pada diri siswa seperti peran orang tua.

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan layanan konseling ringkas berfokus solusi untuk mereduksi perilaku online aggression kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Penentuan subjek mengggunakan teknik non probability sampling design dengan purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan antara tingkat perilaku online aggression siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan layanan konseling ringkas berfokus solusi.

Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is one of the major counseling theories today. However, reliability of this theory has received criticism from other theories, which claim to cognitive interventions do not provide added value on behavioral interventions. The theory criticized and showed dissatisfaction with the practice of CBT is the theory of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Furthermore, ACT is known to a new generation of CBT.ACT is one of the new counseling approach that can be applied to school counselors to deal with the issues of students in the school.

This paper discussess the procedure and result of the formulation of the child-friendly teacher's skill in the Early Childhood Education Institution (PAUD). The formulation of the indicators was performed through the following steps: conducting conceptual study towards the child-friendly teachers’ skill in PAUD, constructing the operational definition from the child-friendly teachers’ skill, establishing operational definition, the operational definition was used to construct a blueprint containing indicators of child-friendly teachers in PAUD. The result of the present study is in the form of three indicators of child-friendly teacher. These indicators are teacher’s skill in planning, implementin, evaluating and reporting the result of the implementaion of non discriminative education stimulus, health, nutrition, care, and protection program for children in PAUD.

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of self-regulated learning (SLR) of students. The research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive method on 300 students at 14 Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools throughout Bantul Regency. The data collection instrument used was a valid and reliable SLR scale, as well as descriptive statistical data analysis with percentages and standard deviation. The results of the study concluded that SRL identification in SMP Muhammadiyah students with high criteria. But even though it has high criteria overall, one school has low criteria because it has access, human resources, and locations that are less relevant to support education. The unequal learning attitudes of students are influenced by human resources as role models, parenting styles, and incoming information. to students about the subject matter. This research can be used by counseling teachers in schools as a basis for developing self-development programs for students.

The present study aimed to identify self-regulated learning difference between male and female students in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The present study employed quantitative approach with comparative design, the sample of the study was 300 students comprising of 164 male students and 135 female students. The samples were selected using stratified random sampling technique. The instrument that was employed was SRL scale. Independent Samples Test emerged as the data analysis technique to identify SRL difference between male and female students. The result of the study showed that there was significant difference between male and female students' SRL. Based on the SRL average level, female students possess higher level of SRL than male students. The result of the study can be used as initial assessment by school counselor in order to develop a guidance and counseling program concerning SRL.

This study aims to determine the discrepancy between the performance of counseling program of Junior High School in Malang with the determined standards. This study uses a standard of Guidelines for Performance Based Professional School Counselor Evaluation. In the standard it was found that, “the professional school counselor counsels individual students and small groups of students with identified needs/concerns”. This study is an evaluation research. Evaluations were performed in this study using a discrepancy model. The approach used is a system approach that is focused on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of counseling programs. Based on the analysis of the results of the evaluation, counseling programs in Junior Hight School in Malang is still far from standard. The results of this study recommend to counselors to improve the quality of the counseling program, so that it will give a positive impact on students.

Aggressive behavior expressed by adolescents is a worrying phenomenon. There might be circumstances underlying this aggression, such as adaptive or maladaptive emotional conditions. To study the role of emotion regulation toward aggression on adolescents, the researchers performed quantitative correlational research toward 943 secondary school students in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. Data was collected using an emotion regulation scale and an aggression scale. The data was then examined using multiple regression analysis to observe the correlation among variables. The result of this research shows that emotion regulation significantly influences the development of aggression. Further analysis of two strategies on emotion regulation shows that excessive emotion suppression affects the development of aggression, while emotion regulation through cognitive appraisal does not. The implication of this research is emotion regulation through emotion suppression has a more significant influence on the development of aggression on adolescents compared to cognitive appraisal. The stronger emotion suppression method is employed, the higher the level of aggression might be developed.
