Abstract

Abstract: The study aimed to analyze the feasibility of textbook for fifth grade of elementary school in theme ‘Events in Life’. The research was qualitative with an analytical-descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were documentation and interviews. The results showed that: (1) on the feasibility of content, textbook for fifth grade of elementary school in theme ‘Events in Life’ met 100% on the indicator of material completeness, the material components, the choice of discourse, text, images, and illustrations, met 97.53% on the indicator of conformity of concepts and material descriptions on scientific systematics, and met 95.06% on the indicator of example selection; (2) on the feasibility of acceptability and readability, textbook for fifth grade of elementary school in theme ‘Events in Life’ met 100% on the indicator of language suitability, the layout designs, supporting elements, and letters. It concludes that textbook for fifth grade of elementary school in theme ‘Events in Life’ is appropriate to be used in teaching and learning activities.Keywords: feasibility analysis, textbooks, feasibility of content, feasibility of acceptability, feasibility of readability Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kelayakan buku ajar kelas V tema 7 “Peristiwa dalam Kehidupan”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis-deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas V dan Siswa Kelas V pada SD Negeri 1 Purwantoro, SD Negeri 2 Bangsri, MI Al Barokah di Kecamatan Purwantoro. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa: (1) Pada aspek kelayakan isi pada buku ajar kelas V tema 7 “Peristiwa dalam Kehidupan” memiliki persentase sebesar 100% pada indikator kelengkapan materi, 100% pada indikator kedalaman materi, 100% pada indikator keakuratan pemilihan wacana, teks, gambar, dan ilustrasi, 97,53% pada indikator kesesuaian konsep dan uraian materi dengan sistematika keilmuan, 95,06% pada indikator pemilihan contoh; (2) Pada aspek kelayakan bahasa serta keterbacaan buku pada buku ajar kelas V tema 7 “Peristiwa dalam Kehidupan” memiliki persentase sebesar 100% pada indikator kesesuaian bahasa, 100% pada kesesuaian unsur tata letak konten buku, 100% pada kesesuaian unsur pendukung, dan 100% pada indikator kesesuaian huruf yang digunakan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah buku ajar kelas V tema 7 “Peristiwa dalam Kehidupan” layak untuk dipergunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar.Keyword: Analisis Kelayakan, Buku Ajar, Kelayakan isi, Kelayakan Bahasa serta Keterbacaan Buku.

Abstract

AbstractThe study aimed to prove positive correlation between pedagogical competence and classroom management skill to public elementary school teachers in Pacitan Sub-district and to measure the contribution of pedagogical competence and classroom management skill to elementary school teachers in Pacitan Sub-district. It was correlational quantitative method. The population were 222 elementary school teachers of first to sixth grade and the samples were 144 teachers. Data collection techniques used questionnaire. The prerequisite test used linearity and normality tests. Data analysis used a simple correlation test and adjusted R square. The results showed that there was positive correlation between pedagogical competence and classroom management skill. The correlation value was 0,335 and it indicated as moderate correlation. Pedagogical competence contributed 11.2% on classroom management skill. High pedagogical competence was closely related to how teachers:  understanding student characteristics, understanding theories and learning principles, developing curriculum, presenting enlightened learning, developing student potency, having good communication to students, and conducting evaluations and assessments measuring the success of learning process. Therefore, if teacher’s pedagogical competence was good, the classroom management would be maximized.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effect of reading comprehension skills on the ability to solve math word problems and to determine the contribution of reading comprehension skills on the ability to solve math word problems to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. The research was a quantitative research with regression method. The population were all fourth grade students in Kebumen Sub-district. The samples were 324 fourth grade. Sampling method was probability sampling technique. The data collection technique used tests. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect between reading comprehension skills on the ability to solve math word problems to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. The value of determination coefficient (R Square) was 0.214. The reading comprehension skills contributed 21.3% on the ability to solve math word problems and the remaining 78.7% was influenced by other factors.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh kemampuan membaca pemahaman terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika dan mengetahui besarnya sumbangan kemampuan membaca pemahaman terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika siswa kelas IV SD Negeri se-Kecamatan Kebumen Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode regresi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Kebumen. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 324 siswa yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik probability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan membaca pemahaman terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan nilai (R Square) sebesar 0,214. Kemampuan membaca pemahaman memberikan sumbangan terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika sebesar 21,3 % dan sisanya sebesar 78,7 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak diberlakukannya pembelajaran daring pada semua mata pelajaran, termasuk Bahasa Indonesia mencakup pengajaran keterampilan berbahasa, yang meliputi keterampilan mendengarkan, membaca, menulis dan berbicara. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali fakta tentang pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar pada masa pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di sekolah dasar se-Kabupatan Kebumen, Jawa Tengah. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah merencanakan pembelajaran bahasa dengan baik, melaksanakan pembelajaran bahasa dengan baik, dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran bahasa dengan cukup baik melalui pemanfaatan media belajar online selama masa pandemic covid. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran bahasa indonesia di sekolah dasar pada masa pandemi berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan ada tidaknya hubungan antara pendampingan orang tua dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Prembun dan mengukur besarnya sumbangan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Prembun tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan SPSS. Jumlah sampel penelitian 232 siswa di sebelas SDN se-Kecamatan Prembun. Pengambilan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji korelasi sederhana dan sumbangan efektif dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Pada pengujian korelasi didapatkan sig = 0,000 (sig < 0,05) dengan hasil koefisien korelasi antara pendampingan orang tua dan hasil belajar matematika yaitu 0,405. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa ada korelasi positif dan signifikan antara pendampingan orang tua dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Prembun tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan pendampingan orang tua memberikan sumbangan sebesar 16,40 % terhadap hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

Pendidikan dalam perkembangannya tidak dapat lepas dari pengaruh perkembangan globalisasi, di mana ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi berkembang pesat. Perkembangan globalisasi telah tampak dan mulai ada sekitar 1000 dan 1500 M. Saat itu ditandai dengan adanya interaksi dalam hubungan antar bangsa di dunia, mulai dari para pedagang melalui jalur darat maupun jalur laut. Para pedagang selain melakukan perdagangan mereka juga menyebarkan nilai-nilai agama, nilai-nilai sosial, seni, dan pendidikan. Sistem pendidikan di era dahulu dengan era globalisasi sangat berbeda, misalnya saja pada pembelajaran. Jika dahulu dilakukan secara tatap muka maka sekarang pembelajaran bisa dilakukan dengan tatap maya dimanapun berada. Hal ini mengakibatkan kurangnya komunikasi antara guru dan siswa. Imbas negatif dari globalisasi di bidang pendidikan lainnya yaitu pengelompokan status sosial, melemahnya kekuatan kontrol pendidikan oleh negara, menurunnya kualitas moral siswa, tergerusnya kebudayaan local, dan munculnya tradisi serba cepat.Sebagai warga negara Indonesia yang kental akan budaya, sudah seharusnya kita menyaring hal-hal yang masuk. Karena jika tidak dapat menggerus budaya local yang sudah ada. Karena tidak semua budaya luar itu cocok dengan budaya kita. Saran bagi penulisan selanjutnya semoga dapat lebih divariasikan sumber dan topic pembahasan agar semakin menarik.

Abstract

A mid of the Covid-19 pandemic, our education should be continued. Therefore, the online learning was being implemented at home so the parents would have a role to make the learning continues. This article aims to analyze parents role in elementary students learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data obtained from a questionnaire consisting of 17 statements. The population in this study were parents of elementary school students who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic as many as 60 respondents. The results of this study are the percentage of parents role in elementary school student learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The conclusion of this article is that parents play a good role in elementary school student learning in the Covid-19 pandemic is as teachers, facilitators, motivators, and influencer. This article can be used as literature and other researchers development material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) pengaruh PBL terhadap keterampilan proses sains; (2) pengaruh PBL terhadap hasil belajar kognitif IPA; (3) pengaruh PBL terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif IPA secara bersama- sama. Penelitian ini merupakan  penelitian eksperimen semu  dengan pretest-postest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SD Gugus 3 Kotagede Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2014/ 2015. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Data dianalisis dengan independent t-test, uji MANOVA, dan uji kriteria Bonferroni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains; (2) PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPA. (3) PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar IPA. Keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif IPA di kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas eksperimen 2 lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Keseluruhan uji dan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif IPA. THE EFFECT PBL ON SCIENCE PROCESS SKILL AND COGNITIVE LEARNING RESULT OF SCIENCE TO STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLAbstractThis research is aimed to get information about: (1) the effect of PBL on science process skills; (2) the effect of  PBL on the result of cognitive-learning of science and 3) the effect of PBL on science process skill and the result of cognitive-learning of science. This is quasi experiment research employing a pretest-posttest control group design. The research population consisted of five-graders of all elementary schools located in Group 3 of Kotagede in the academic year of 2014/2015. The sample was collected using the cluster random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the independent t-test, the MANOVA, and Bonferroni criterion. The result of this research informs that: (1) PBL  improved positively and significantly the science process skills; (2) PBL improved positively and significantly science learning result; (3) PBL improved positively and significantly the science process skills and science learning result. The skills of science process and cognitive result of learning of science of the experiment class 1 and 2 are higher than that of the control class. The whole tests and gained results show that PBL positively and significantly improves the skills of science process and the cognitive result of science learning.Keywords: problem based learning, skills of science process, cognitive learning result of science.

Abstract

The free platform is a free application that can be used to evaluate online learning. The problem is that teachers are hampered by using modern free platforms. Teachers still apply conventional assessments, such as printing paper, taking photos of student's work, and sending them via WhatsApp groups. This assistance is intended to describe the results of training on using free platforms to develop assessments in online learning for elementary schools in Kebumen Regency. Servants collaborated with several partners, namely Public Elementary School 4 Kedawung, Public Elementary School 2 Kewayuhan, Public Elementary School 1 Kewayuhan, and Public Elementary School 3 Kewayuhan. The first training was held on June 24, 2021. The service results showed that the preparation aspect had reached a sufficient percentage of 75.4%, while the implementation aspect had a percentage result of 80.1% in the high category. Moreover, the processing aspect reached a sufficient percentage of 75.4 %, and the utilization aspect reached 79% with a good category. From these results, it can be concluded that teachers can follow the procedures for using free platforms (Google Forms and Quizizz) to develop assessments quite well.
