Abstract

Employee loyalty constitutes a pivotal determinant in the triumph of an organization, particularly amidst the escalating intensity of modern business rivalry. PT Anugerah Putra Langkat, an enterprise situated in North Sumatra, grapples with the predicament of preserving competent personnel and cultivating enduring organizational allegiance. An appropriate leadership paradigm accompanied by optimal motivational stimuli is presumed to exert a considerable impact on the magnitude of employee devotion within the company. The present research aimed to identify the correlation between leadership orientation and occupational motivation toward employee loyalty at PT Anugerah Putra Langkat. Employing a quantitative methodology with both descriptive and explanatory research frameworks, the investigation encompasses the entire workforce of 156 individuals, with a sampling cohort of 85 respondents selected through a saturated sampling technique. The findings reveal that, individually, leadership style exerts a constructive and statistically significant influence on occupational loyalty. Likewise, work motivation demonstrates a positive and meaningful correlation with employee allegiance. Collectively, these two variables exhibit a conjoint and substantial impact on overall job loyalty.

Abstract

The contemporary business environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) demands a proactive approach to project management. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing risk-based controls in project management, with a particular focus on the interaction between structural frameworks and behavioral factors influencing risk-taking and decision-making. A systematic literature review with a qualitative approach was used to synthesize theoretical and empirical findings. The analysis revealed that the gap between risk management principles and practices, as reported in global studies, is significantly influenced by systematic cognitive biases such as loss aversion and the framing effect. These biases distort risk assessments, trigger inertia in problematic projects, and lead to suboptimal allocation of control resources. The study concludes that the effectiveness of risk-based controls cannot be achieved solely through adherence to procedural frameworks such as ISO 31000.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of leaders in implementing a corporate code of ethics and its impact on organizational culture and sustainable corporate governance. A code of ethics is a moral and professional guideline that directs individual and organizational behavior in conducting business activities. However, the effectiveness of a code of ethics is largely determined by the role of leaders as directors, role models, and controllers of ethical behavior within the organization. The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach to scientific journals, books, and relevant academic publications. The results of the study indicate that leaders have a strategic role in formulating, socializing, enforcing, and evaluating a corporate code of ethics. Ethical leaders are able to build a strong tone at the top, increase employee compliance, and shape an organizational culture of integrity. This study also integrates the thoughts and findings of Muhammad Chaerul Rizky regarding leadership, human resources, and organizational ethics as a basis for analysis.

Instrument testing was conducted through validity and reliability tests, while hypothesis testing utilized t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination tests.Research findings indicate that partially, Intrinsic Motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with 27.05 and significance 0.000. Conversely, Transformational Leadership partially does not significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.243. However, simultaneously, both variables significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.000. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.981 demonstrates that Intrinsic Motivation and Transformational Leadership contribute 98.1% to the employee performance variable, while the remaining 1.9% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. In conclusion, although leadership does not independently drive performance, the synergy between employees' internal motivation and strategic leadership direction serves as the primary key to organizational success in achieving Lake Toba tourism development targets.
