Abstract

Implementation of the 2013 curriculum where students are trained to participate in student-centered learning and have higher-order thinking skills. This research aimed to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model (PBL) assisted by worksheets on high-level thinking skills (HOTS) and high school students learning outcomes in physics. This research uses a quasi-experimental type with a post-test only control group design. The research population consisted of all 5 class X MIPA students, while the sample consisted of 68 respondents from 2 class X MIPA. Data collection was carried out by giving written tests, documentation, and interviews. The research data were analyzed through statistical tests with the SPSS application. Based on the research results, it was found that there was no significant effect on the application of the PBL model assisted by the worksheets High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) and the learning outcomes of high school students in physics material with a sig value of > 0.05. The causative factors based on the results of the analysis are external factors and internal factors in online learning activities. Thus it is necessary to have good control over these constraints so that the application of models and media can practice HOTS abilities and students' physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Musical instruments in Indonesia are very diverse, one of which is the tambourine. The tambourine is a round musical instrument made of wood and cowhide. The tambourine instrument is often played in several events such as commemorations of Islamic holidays, weddings, festivities, and so on. But behind this game of the tambourine, there is a physics concept that causes the tambourine to make a beautiful sound. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with an emphasis on observing the tambourine while it is being played and interviews with one of the players of the tambourine. From this analysis, several physics concepts contained in the game of the tambourine musical instrument will be produced.

Abstract

Science is the ability to understand science, communicate science, and apply scientific abilities to solve problems. This research aims to determine the interest of students in learning using science E-book media. There are two factors that influence the success of the learning process, two of which are teaching methods and learning media. The method used in this research is to search and select articles related to the topics that have been determined, perform analysis, and draw a conclusion from a collection of articles reviewed. Media in an educational perspective is an influential instrument in determining the results of the learning process. The use of learning media using science e-books as an effort to increase students' interest in learning about science or science.

Abstract

Pada 2020, sebuah kajian tentang Potensi Minyak Jelantah Untuk Biodesel dan Penurunan Kemiskinan di Indonesia oleh TNP2K dan Traction Energi Asia menjabarkan konsumsi minyak goreng sawit di Indonesia pada 2019 tercatat sebesar 16,2 juta kilo liter, maka diperoleh sekitar 6,46-9,72 juta kilo liter limbah jelantah. Limbah ini tumbuh dengan pesat setiap tahunnya yang kemudian mempengaruhi kesehatan tubuh dan lingkungan disekitarnya. Limbah ini juga menjadi momok menakutkan bagi keberlanjutan hidup dan lingkungan. Untuk menekan lonjakan angka limbah yang dihasilkan, maka diperlukan suatu upaya pengolahan guna merubah limbah menjadi sesuatu yang lebih bermaslahat serta tidak mengancam keberlansungan lingkungan. Indonesia kaya akan berbagai jenis tanaman, termasuk diantaranya buah pisang yang dapat dengan mudah ditemui diberbagai daerah.Hampir semua orang dari segala kalangan usia menyukai buah pisang, akan tetapi konsumsi buah pisang yang tinggi tentunya menimbulkan limbah yang membludak. Kulit pisangmemuat berbagai kandungan yang baik bagi tubuh diantaranya antioksidan untuk menangkal radikal bebas serta antioksidan flavonoid guna merangsang perubahan suasana hati menjadi lebih baik. Kandungan antiinflamasi (anti peradangan) dan antimikroba yang efektif mampumelawan bakteri, jamur, dan alergi juga terkandung dalam kulit pisang. Limbah kulit pisangakan dijadikan sebagai media penyaringan minyak jelantah.

Abstract

Parabolic motion is a two-dimensional motion that requires quite accurate analysis to understand it. Parabolic motion is a particle movement with an initial velocity and a certain elevation angle due to the influence of the gravitational force where the particle current is in the form of a parabola. The game of basketball is an application of parabolic motion by throwing the ball into the hoop and when the mat appears to bend, this movement is a form of parabolic motion. The purpose of this research is to know the study of parabolic motion in basketball games whose techniques include passing, dribbling, and shooting. The method used in this material is descriptive qualitative with the literature review method. The results of this study are the ability to analyze the physics concept of parabolic motion in basketball games quite accurately. This is seen from the source of information conducted in this study.

Abstract

Linguistically, technology comes from the Greek, namely tekhnologia which is a combination of "techne" and "logos". Tehcne means art or skill while logos means science of study. In the Big Indonesian Dictionary, technology is all means to provide goods needed for the survival and comfort of human life. According to UNESCO "The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization", literacy is a set of real skills, especially skills in reading and writing that are independent of the context in which these skills are acquired and who acquires them. According to Alo Liliweri in the book Philosophy of Science (2022), science is a collection of knowledge and the process of developing knowledge itself. In science, the most core process is to produce a testable explanation, along with its methods and approaches. The role of technology in students' scientific literacy, in other words, is a means with the aim of making it easier for students to improve writing, reading and understanding science knowledge in education.

Abstract

Science which is a branch of cultural studies that seeks to understand how they interpret their nature can be called ethnoscience. Ethnoscience has several types of branches, one of which is ethnophysics. Ethnophysics is local wisdom associated with the concept of physics. This study used a qualitative method in the form of a literature survey. The aim of this research is to discover the physical concepts involved in the formation of rotating ice. There are 3 dominant concepts that exist in making rotary ice. Circular motion is a motion with a circular path. A change in the state of matter is a thermodynamic change that starts from one state of matter to another state of matter. In the experiment of making rotating ice cream, one of the mechanisms is to mix ice cubes with salt to lower the temperature of the ice to make it colder.

Abstract

The internet has a very significant influence on various aspects of life today, one of which is in the field of education, especially in e-learning. In the scope of the university the Internet is needed both by teaching staff and by students. So that the internet is very influential in the student learning process. This research will focus on how influential the internet needs are for students in the E-Learning process. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with stages namely problem formulation, literature study, model formulation, instrument preparation, data collection, collection, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research that has been done, the result is that the internet is a very important and influential part of the E-Learning process, seeking scientific information, and forming student achievement.

Abstract

The turbine (turbine) can rotate as a boost from rotation which can be continued so that it can be used to rotate part of the windmill generator into electrical energy. Wind power plants as a potential have the Indonesian nation as a renewable electrical energy with a large enough. The purpose of this study was to find out the potential of wind as a Wind Power Plant (PLTA) as an alternative to electricity. Data collection techniques were obtained from literature review studies on library research or descriptive document studies (Library Research) from various types of documents that support the research theme, namely laws, books, journals and articles. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that not all windmills provide benefits and are alternative sources of electricity.

Abstract

We often know that when reading perfume products made from cans at the bottom there is a warning that is to keep it below 15ºC-21ºC stating that perfume cans should not be at high temperatures because it will cause the cans to explode caused by the expansion of the gas inside. in a perfume can. Based on a study of Gay-Lussac's law observed by Joseph Louis Gay-Lussac which relates to pressure, volume and temperature of a gas. This law was created when Joseph Louis Gay Lussac boarded a hot air balloon and produced a formula that reads "a gas will experience an increase in pressure at a certain mass if it experiences a temperature increase in a constant volume". The relationship between pressure and temperature influences each other, namely when the temperature is high it will produce high pressure, conversely when the temperature is low then the pressure produced will decrease, but the conditions must be in a constant volume. Then the result of the graph compared to temperature will be directly proportional to the pressure. Thus, it is closely related to the creation of explosions that occur in perfume cans when the temperature is > 21°C . We conducted this research to prove that temperature affects the expansion of gas in perfume cans by applying the method of literature study by collecting some of the research results that have been done.
