Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the generative learning model with simple experimental media on critical thinking and student learning outcomes. This research uses true experimental research with post test only control design. Determination of the research sample is done by cluster random sampling. The data collection instrument used was a multiple choice test and a description. Based on the results of critical thinking data analysis using the Independent T-test, Sig. (2-tailed) worth 0.001 where 0.001 is less than 0.05, indicating that the difference in the average critical thinking value of the experimental class students is greater than the control class. Meanwhile, for learning outcomes using the Mann-Whitney test, a value of 0.006 was obtained, where the value was less than 0.05, meaning that the difference in the average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class was greater than the control class. Significantly the difference between the two shows that the generative learning model with simple experimental media has an effect on critical thinking and student learning outcomes of physics. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang dihasilkan dari penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang disertai dengan sumber belajar lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Posttes-Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 4 Jember tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Dalam penelitian ini terpilih dua kelas yang dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian yaitu XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah disertai belajar sumber lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa SMA. Terdapat pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah disertai belajar sumber lingkungan terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa SMA

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' interest and learning outcomes in material objects by applying a problem based learning model with the help of index card match media, describing the increase in student interest and learning outcomes in material objects after applying the problem based learning assisted learning model. index card match media. This research is a classroom action research conducted with 2 cycles. The research subjects were the second grade students of SDI Darul Musthofa, totaling 8 students in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The results showed an increase in student interest and learning outcomes after applying the problem based learning model with the help of index card match media.

Abstract

Lingkungan belajar yang ramah dan nyaman sangat bergantung pada manajemen kelas yang efektif. Kenyamanan siswa di kelas merupakan faktor penting yang memengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran. Efektivitas pembelajaran adalah istilah yang mengacu pada seberapa baik tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dalam proses pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan manajemen kelas terhadap kenyamanan siswa dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur, berbagai penelitian terdahulu dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi faktor utama yang berkontribusi terhadap kenyamanan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kelas yang efektif berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kenyamanan siswa, yang ditandai dengan suasana belajar yang bebas dari gangguan fisik maupun emosional. Berdasarkan hasilnya, guru dengan kemampuan manajemen kelas yang baik dapat mendorong partisipasi siswa dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif, dan meningkatkan hasil belajar. Dengan demikian, salah satu elemen kunci yang dapat berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa adalah manajemen kelas yang efisien.

Abstract

This study aims at investigating the Physics students' thought patterns concern-ing the greenhouse effect. Descriptive analysis was used, including the set of qualitative data. These data were then interpreted for their idea and content inductively to recognize students' thoughts and models concerning the greenhouse effect. The result confirmed three patterns of the students' thoughts concerning the greenhouse effect (patterns A, B, and C). The model covered different concepts, mechanisms, and processes of the greenhouse effect. The students' knowledge from science teacher explanations and books is not the only learning source concerning the educational environment. The issue and broadcast media frequently carry out confusing the concepts. This research is expected to provide physics teachers critical information to develop appropriate teaching methods and strategies concerning these topics.

Abstract

Pendidikan di era modern menghadapi tantangan besar untuk bertransformasi sejalan dengan kemajuan pesat dalam bidang ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (IPTEK). Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka bertujuan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang fleksibel, relevan, dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran, tantangan, dan efektivitas IPTEK dalam mendukung transformasi pendidikan serta menyusun strategi implementasi yang selaras dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kajian pustaka menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis terhadap berbagai literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan panduan strategis untuk pengintegrasian IPTEK dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan menekankan pentingnya literasi digital, adaptasi teknologi berbasis kebutuhan, serta kolaborasi lintas sektor. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi acuan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan teknologi dan merancang pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dan efektif di era digital. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa IPTEK berperan strategis dalam menghadirkan pembelajaran interaktif dan adaptif, meskipun masih menghadapi kendala, seperti kesenjangan akses teknologi dan rendahnya literasi digital. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengintegrasian IPTEK dalam Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan upaya strategis untuk membangun sistem pendidikan yang lebih relevan, inovatif, dan mampu menjawab tantangan di tingkat global.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effect of career development coaching on teacher performance through a meta-analysis approach. The research was conducted using a systematic literature review of 10 relevant scientific articles, which were examined to identify key findings related to teacher performance. The selected studies consisted of indexed international journals, accredited national journals, and national publications that met methodological standards. The results of the meta-analysis indicate that career development coaching has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Career development programs are proven to enhance professional competence, work motivation, job satisfaction, and the effectiveness of instructional implementation. Several studies also reveal that motivation and job satisfaction function as additional variables that strengthen the relationship between career development and teacher performance. Career development coaching is a strategic factor that consistently contributes to improving teacher performance. Structured, sustainable, and teacher-oriented career development programs are capable of enhancing professionalism and the overall quality of learning.

Abstract

Introduction: Until now, the impact of Extremely Low Frequency electromagnetic field radiation (ELF-EMF) by extra high voltage transmission lines (500 kV-EHVTL) is still debated. While WHO recommends a threshold of magnetic field exposure of 100 µT for up to 24 hours/day is declared safe for health. This study aims to examine the Integration of Extremely Low Frequency Magnetic Field Studies in Science Education: "Case Study on 500 kV-EHVTL". This study is important to support literacy in Environmental Physics and Environmental Radiation courses. The location of the study is a 500 kV EHVTL building located in Gondang Wetan District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Measurement of ELF magnetic field intensity using the EMF Tester-827 tool. The measurement position is at point 0 (directly below), and lateral distances of 50m, 100m, 150m, 200m, and 250m from the EHVTL power grid cable, as well as distances of 0m, 1m, 5m, 10m, and 15m from the EHVTL power grid tower. The intensity of ELF magnetic field exposure just below the EHVTL reached a value of 5.73 µT-10,085 µT (increased 170-234 times) compared to the natural magnetic field. While several research results prove that exposure to magnetic fields with an intensity of around 10 µT in vitro causes an increase in cell proliferation. Increased cell proliferation in the human body can have negative effects on health. Based on the research results it was concluded that an increase in the intensity of ELF magnetic field exposure up to 170-234 times can cause biological effects at the cellular level and has the potential to cause health impacts on humans. it is advisable to avoid living under the EHVTL network, and the WHO recommendation that the threshold exposure value of 100 µT is declared safe for humans exposed for up to 24 hours/day needs to be reviewed

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) integrated with the local culture of Hem Re Yegokhe in improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school teacher candidates in a multicultural area. Using an explanatory sequential mixed methods design, this study began with a quantitative pretest–posttest measurement using an instrument based on the five dimensions of the California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST), and continued with qualitative exploration through interviews and observations. A total of 173 students were divided into experimental and control groups. The results showed that the integration of the IBL approach and local cultural practices significantly improved critical thinking skills, especially in the dimensions of interpretation, analysis, and inference. The dimensions of evaluation and explanation experienced a more moderate increase, which was associated with the limited time of the intervention. Thematic analysis supported the quantitative findings and emphasized the role of cultural context in encouraging deep reflection and contextual awareness. The findings also revealed a gap in achievement between students from 3T and non-3T areas, indicating the need for scaffolding strategies and strengthening intercultural competence and social empathy. This study provides an empirical contribution to the development of a locally relevant and socially inclusive cultural-based pedagogical model. Implications include strengthening teacher education curricula, lecturer training, and policies that support the integration of local knowledge as a learning resource. Further research is recommended to be conducted longitudinally, develop culturally based assessment instruments, and explore other cultural practices as learning contexts.

Abstract

This study addresses the need for culturally responsive science learning in elementary teacher education by developing and empirically examining Affiliation–Interpersonal Skills (AKI), comprising affiliation motivation and interpersonal skills, within an ethnoscience learning context. Using a cross-sectional design, the study involved 50 prospective elementary teachers from a public university in Papua, Indonesia, most of whom were from disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost areas. Content validity was evaluated by five experts using the Content Validity Index, while item performance and internal consistency were examined through descriptive statistics, corrected item–total correlations, and reliability analysis. The results showed that the AKI instrument demonstrated strong content validity (most items I-CVI ≥ 0.78; S-CVI/Ave ≥ 0.90) and satisfactory reliability (subscale and total coefficients ≥ 0.70). Empirically, participants exhibited generally moderate to high affiliation motivation, reflecting a strong tendency toward collaboration and social connectedness, while interpersonal skills varied across individuals, particularly in empathic communication and conflict management. Based on these patterns, three AKI profiles were identified, indicating differentiated training needs in ethnoscience-based science learning. These findings suggest that AKI is a measurable and meaningful construct for mapping prospective teachers’ social–interpersonal readiness and for informing targeted interventions to strengthen culturally responsive science instruction.
