Abstract

The development of Islamic da'wah in the digital era brings changes in the way religious messages are conveyed, especially in language selection. The use of formal and informal language in digital da'wah can affect the extent to which audiences understand Islamic teachings. This study aims to examine how the choice of language in digital da'wah affects the understanding of da'wah recipients. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, this study involved 124 respondents who actively access digital da'wah. The results show that the majority of respondents prefer and more easily understand da'wah delivered in casual and communicative language compared to formal language. A more familiar language is more effective in delivering religious messages in the digital space. These results provide insight for Islamic preachers and communicators in designing digital da'wah strategies that are more effective and easily understood by the audience.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of Islamic education on the political ethics of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Education (FPEB) of the Indonesian University of Education. Students who receive Islamic education in college are expected to have an ethical political perspective based on Islamic moral values. The purpose of this study is to explore the extent to which Islamic education influences students' attitudes, perceptions, and participation in political activities. The method used in this study is a quantitative survey by distributing questionnaires to FPEB UPI students through a G-form containing closed questions. The results of the study indicate that the majority of students have a good understanding of Islamic education and apply it in their social and political lives. Islamic principles such as honesty, justice, trustworthiness, and deliberation have been proven to play a role in shaping students' political perspectives and behavior. Therefore, with the existence of Islamic education in college, it is hoped that it can create students as a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has high moral integrity in their political lives.

Abstract

The scope of technological development in the era of digitalization encourages the advancement of Islamic preaching media through modern digital platforms, which play a significant role in disseminating religious messages to the wider community. The TikTok application has become a significant platform in conveying religious messages through engaging and educational Islamic content that can build and develop religious understanding. This research aims to analyze the influence of using the TikTok application as a medium for preaching and to evaluate the effectiveness of the TikTok application as a means of spreading religious teachings among students. This research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with survey methods and data collection in the form of questionnaires using Google Forms, targeting respondents who are students of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The research results show that the majority of students at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia have understood the use of the TikTok application and have made TikTok a medium for entertainment and information. The TikTok application is also considered effective in the process of disseminating religious knowledge through engaging and creative Islamic preaching content, thereby predominantly encouraging faster student understanding because the delivery of religious values is concise and easy to comprehend. However, in studying and understanding the religious content on the TikTok application, students need to understand the authenticity of the religious videos before sharing them. This is related to the critical awareness of students in responding to religious information disseminated on social media.

Abstract

Abstract

Halal certification is an important instrument to ensure the halalness of products which aims to protect the interests of Muslims. The position of halal certification in the Indonesian national legal system is very important because it has been regulated in legislation, especially in Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee. In addition, the halal fatwa issued by MUI is also respected and followed by the government and the Muslim community. This study aims to analyze the role of halal certification in protecting Muslim consumers based on the perspective of Islamic law and national law. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach to examine the sources of Islamic law and national regulations related to halal certification. The results of the study show that halal certification has a strategic role in providing legal certainty to Muslim consumers and protecting their rights to avoid products that are not in accordance with Sharia. Halal certification is not only a religious obligation but also a form of legal protection for Muslim consumers, so synergy between Islamic law and national law is needed to ensure its effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing Muslim students' decisions in choosing between Islamic banks and conventional banks. Although most respondents understand the differences between the two banking systems, they still prefer conventional banks. Previous research suggests that ease of access and advanced service features are the primary factors in bank selection. This study employs a quantitative approach using surveys targeting Muslim students as primary respondents. The findings reveal that the main factors influencing banking preferences include accessibility, service reach, advanced digital features, and attractive promotional programs. Additionally, long-standing habits of using conventional banks and environmental influences play a significant role in customers' decisions. Meanwhile, students who choose Islamic banks are primarily driven by religious awareness and the desire to avoid riba. This study provides insights into the challenges faced by Islamic banking and the need for enhanced digital services and more innovative marketing strategies to compete with conventional banks.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning models on moral elements in senior high schools, emphasizing teachers’ and students’ perceptions. Unlike previous studies that focus solely on learning models or moral education, this research uniquely examines the alignment between teacher-implemented models and student expectations, using Joyce and Weil’s learning model framework. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with three PAI teachers in West Bandung Regency and open-ended questionnaires from 120 students. Findings reveal that teachers attempt to integrate structured learning models; however, challenges persist, including variations in student backgrounds, limited teacher comprehension of moral content, and difficulties in classroom management. Students expect learning to be relevant, flexible, interactive, and technology-integrated, yet gaps remain between these expectations and current teaching practices. Key elements of the Joyce and Weil model—syntax, social systems, reaction principles, and support systems—are not comprehensively implemented across the studied schools. This study contributes to the development of PAI learning by offering structured insights into improving instructional models systematically. It recommends targeted strategies for teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness and suggests future research employing a larger sample with a quantitative approach to further validate these findings.
