Abstract

This study examines the impact of Quran recitation habits at the beginning of learning sessions on students’ mental readiness. Employing a quantitative approach and simple linear regression analysis, the research explores the relationship between Quran recitation and students’ preparedness for learning. A sample of 153 eleventh-grade students from SMAN 8 Bandung was selected through simple random sampling, with data collected via a closed-ended questionnaire assessing Quran recitation habits and mental readiness indicators. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between Quran recitation and mental readiness, with an R-squared value of 0.556, indicating that 55.6% of the variance in mental readiness is accounted for by Quran recitation. These results underscore the potential of integrating spiritual practices, such as Quran recitation, into educational routines to enhance students’ focus and emotional preparedness, thereby fostering improved academic engagement.

Abstract

The development of Islamic da'wah in the digital era brings changes in the way religious messages are conveyed, especially in language selection. The use of formal and informal language in digital da'wah can affect the extent to which audiences understand Islamic teachings. This study aims to examine how the choice of language in digital da'wah affects the understanding of da'wah recipients. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, this study involved 124 respondents who actively access digital da'wah. The results show that the majority of respondents prefer and more easily understand da'wah delivered in casual and communicative language compared to formal language. A more familiar language is more effective in delivering religious messages in the digital space. These results provide insight for Islamic preachers and communicators in designing digital da'wah strategies that are more effective and easily understood by the audience.

Abstract

The scope of technological development in the era of digitalization encourages the advancement of Islamic preaching media through modern digital platforms, which play a significant role in disseminating religious messages to the wider community. The TikTok application has become a significant platform in conveying religious messages through engaging and educational Islamic content that can build and develop religious understanding. This research aims to analyze the influence of using the TikTok application as a medium for preaching and to evaluate the effectiveness of the TikTok application as a means of spreading religious teachings among students. This research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with survey methods and data collection in the form of questionnaires using Google Forms, targeting respondents who are students of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The research results show that the majority of students at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia have understood the use of the TikTok application and have made TikTok a medium for entertainment and information. The TikTok application is also considered effective in the process of disseminating religious knowledge through engaging and creative Islamic preaching content, thereby predominantly encouraging faster student understanding because the delivery of religious values is concise and easy to comprehend. Abstract

Abstract

Halal certification is an important instrument to ensure the halalness of products which aims to protect the interests of Muslims. The position of halal certification in the Indonesian national legal system is very important because it has been regulated in legislation, especially in Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee. In addition, the halal fatwa issued by MUI is also respected and followed by the government and the Muslim community. This study aims to analyze the role of halal certification in protecting Muslim consumers based on the perspective of Islamic law and national law. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach to examine the sources of Islamic law and national regulations related to halal certification. The results of the study show that halal certification has a strategic role in providing legal certainty to Muslim consumers and protecting their rights to avoid products that are not in accordance with Sharia. Halal certification is not only a religious obligation but also a form of legal protection for Muslim consumers, so synergy between Islamic law and national law is needed to ensure its effectiveness.
