Abstract

Cultural influences have changed the design of mosques in the past and present, causing differences in some respects. This research focuses on Bandung City, namely on Cipaganti and Al-Jabbar mosques as representations of the past and present. Using a qualitative and comparative approach, data was collected through triangulation of interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis refers to the theory of Islamic Architecture Typology including architectural aspects (typology of space and form) and contextual aspects (function and style). The findings show that the Cipaganti and Al-Jabbar Mosque designs show significant differences in the development of Islamic culture in Bandung. Cipaganti has many traditional elements and local culture, while Al-Jabbar adopts a modern and multifunctional approach, creating a broader social and educational center.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, teknologi modern menjadi salah satu elemen penting dalam pengembangan arsitektur masjid, termasuk dalam desain fasad. Salah satu contoh penerapan teknologi modern dalam desain fasad masjid adalah Masjid Al-Jabbar di Bandung, Jawa Barat. Masjid ini dirancang dengan pendekatan arsitektur kontemporer yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen teknologi modern, estetika, dan nilai-nilai fungsional dalam satu kesatuan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana integrasi teknologi modern pada fasad Masjid Al-Jabbar mampu merepresentasikan estetika visual dan fungsi arsitektur Islam dalam konteks kebutuhan kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan observasi. Fasad Masjid Raya Al-Jabbar dirancang dengan pendekatan arsitektur modern yang mengintegrasikan teknologi, estetika islami dan prinsip keberlanjutan. Pengaplikasian fasad dengan Masjid Al-Jabbar dengan kombinasi 2 material utama, yaitu Aluminium sheet Panel dan Kaca Patri. Pengaplikasian 2 material pada Masjid Al-Jabbar mempresentasikan bagaimana bentuk adaptasi arsitektur terhadap perkembangan zaman namun tetap menerapkan prinsip dasar estetika dan spiritualitas.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdirinya pegadaian syariah di Indonesia memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap ekonomi negara. Lembaga keuangan ini didirikan pada awal tahun 2000-an untuk memenuhi kebutuhan populasi Muslim yang terus meningkat. Pegadaian syariah beroperasi sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam, terutama dalam menghindari riba. Melalui metode kualitatif, studi ini akan melakukan studi pustaka dimana penulis menganalisis dan mereview paparan dari jurnal atau buku di internet untuk mengidentifikasi mekanisme operasional yang diterapkan Pegadaian Syariah dalam memastikan keberlanjutan dan kesesuaian dengan hukum Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas Pegadaian Syariah dalam mencapai keuntungan tanpa melanggar prinsip riba. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi tantangan yang dihadapi Pegadaian Syariah dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pengetahuan tambahan bagi seluruh pembaca mengenai sistem pegadaian syariah serta memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana lembaga keuangan ini dapat menjaga prinsip syariah sambil tetap mencapai profitabilitas. Kata kunci: pegadaian syariah, riba, profitabilitas ABSTRACT The establishment of Sharia pawnshops in Indonesia has had a significant impact on the country’s economy. This financial institution was founded in the early 2000s to meet the needs of the growing Muslim population. Sharia pawnshops operate according to Islamic principles, particularly by avoiding usury (riba). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Sharia pawnshops in achieving profitability without violating the principle of riba. Additionally, the research explores the challenges Sharia pawnshops face in reaching these objectives. Through a qualitative approach, this study will conduct a literature review, where the author will analyze and review content from journals or books on the internet to identify the operational mechanisms applied by Sharia pawnshops to ensure sustainability and compliance with Islamic law. This research is expected to provide readers with additional insights into the Sharia pawnshop system and to offer an understanding of how this financial institution can uphold Sharia principles while still achieving profitability. Abstract

ABSTRAK Fenomena kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) cukup menarik perhatian masyarakat Indonesia semenjak beberapa tokoh masyarakat menjadi korban dan melaporkan terkait tindakan kekerasan yang dialaminya. Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) merupakan suatu tindakan kekerasan yang dilakukan oleh anggota keluarga yang merasa memiliki kekuasaan dan kekuatan kepada anggota keluarga yang lebih lemah. Umumnya korban dalam tindakan ini adalah perempuan dan anak-anak. Dalam penelitian ini penulis ingin memahami perspektif Islam dan pandangan masyarakat Indonesia terhadap tindakan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT). Dalam mengkaji hal tersebut, penulis menggunakan metode gabungan (kualitatif-kuantitatif). Pendekatan kualitatif dilakukan melalui metode deskriptif dengan mengkaji ayat-ayat al-Quran, hadist-hadist, dan hukum KUHP terkait tindakan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT), sedangkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 57 orang yang merupakan masyarakat Indonesia. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perspektif masyarakat memandang KDRT yang terjadi di Indonesia sangat memprihatinkan, sanksi sosial yang umum diterima pelaku berupa pengasingan dari lingkungannya, sanksi sosial dipandang tidak efektif untuk menghukum pelaku, dan pelaku KDRT seharusnya diberikan hukuman pidana yang setimpal. Kata kunci: Kekerasan, Rumah Tangga, Hukum Islam, KUHP, Sanksi sosial ABSTRACT The phenomenon of domestic violence (KDRT) has attracted the attention of Indonesian citizens ever since several public figures became victims and reported the violence they experienced. Domestic violence is an act of violence committed by family members who have more power and authority over their family members who are considered to be weaker. The victims of this act are commonly women and children. In this research, the author wants to understand the Islamic perspective and the views of Indonesian society regarding acts of domestic violence (KDRT). In examining this, the author uses a mixed method (qualitative-quantitative). The qualitative approach is carried out through a descriptive method by examining verses of the Holy Quran, Hadiths, and the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) related to acts of domestic violence, while the quantitative approach uses data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires with a number of samples totalling 57 Indonesian citizens. The findings of this study indicate that the community's perspective on domestic violence that occurs in Indonesia is alarming. Social punishment often involves isolating perpetrators from their neighborhoods. Social punishments are ineffective in penalizing perpetrators, and individuals who commit domestic violence should receive appropriate criminal penalties. Abstract

The rapid growth of Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly in the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program, has seen significant progress, with more than 25,000 educational institutions registered by 2024. However, not all institutions produce high-quality hafidz, largely due to the diverse abilities of students, which are influenced by their educational backgrounds and memorization methods. This study focuses on the strategies employed by students in memorizing the Qur'an and the practical implementation of these strategies. The research aims to identify effective memorization methods in tahfidz programs and evaluate their impact on the quality of memorization. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design at the Daarul Yusr Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that 10 students successfully memorized 30 juz of the Qur'an. Additionally, the memorization process contributed to enhancing students' discipline and self-confidence. These results affirm that employing a differentiated approach in memorization not only improves the quality of memorization but also positively influences students' character. This study is expected to serve as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in addressing challenges in tahfidz education and developing curricula tailored to individual student needs.

Abstract

This research examines the use of effective language in Islamic preaching, especially in Friday sermons. The focus of this research is on the text of the Friday sermon published by the Istiqlal Mosque management and the YouTube platform. This study analyzes the linguistic strategies of two preachers who had the opportunity to become Friday preachers at the Istiqlal Mosque. Using qualitative descriptive analysis, this research explores the role of rhetorical devices such as analogies, metaphors, and storytelling. The research results highlight that effective use of language, which is rooted in Qur'anic principles such as al-hikmah (wisdom), al-mauidzah al-hasanah (good advice), and al-mujjadi (polite argumentation), plays a role in important in conveying da'wah messages that are persuasive and easy to understand. These findings aim to develop a comprehensive framework for improving da'wah communication so that it can be accepted by diverse audiences in both traditional and digital contexts

Abstract

This research is based on the problems related to content materialthat does not emphasize of character education. This research aims to explore the values of the holistic character contained in the integrated thematic book of fourth grade for elementary school and implication in the learning process or student life. This research used qualitative approach with the content analysis objects were several themes in Integrative Thematic learning for fourth grade. And the methods of research used in this research was descriptive. Data collection techniques using documentation and literature study. Based on the exploration results the, character values contained in the integrative thematic book were: [1] The values of holistic character in the textbook are Love of God and all of His Creations, Responsibility, Tolerance, Mutual Cooperation, and Perseverance; Although lacks in the aspects of language, text function, incomplete discourse and the frequency of uneven character values loads, but with the holistic character, can balance cognitive, affective and psychomotor loads in integrative thematic books [2] The implication for learning or student life is that it has not made abstract characters more concrete because holistic characters are more contained in narrative texts compared to practice during learning and in daily life and the use of forms of linguistic exposure must use language that is often found in elementary school children. The results of this study provide several recommendations for further studies, programs, teachers, and researchers that can be taken into consideration integration character education and improving the contents in integrative thematic books.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of da'wah and character education in shaping morals at Al Bayyinah Islamic Boarding School. The research methodology used is a qualitative approach with a case study. This study uses primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the principal, teachers, parents, and students, as well as through direct observation and documentation related to the learning process. Meanwhile, secondary data includes journals relevant to the topic of this study, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions using a thematic analysis approach to identify patterns and relationships between data. The subjects in this study were the Principal of Al-Bayyinah Islamic Boarding School, the Supervisor/Guardian, the Deputy Head of Curriculum, the Akidah Akhlak Teacher, and Al-Bayyinah Students. The results of the study indicate that the integration between da'wah and character education at Al Bayyinah Islamic Boarding School is carried out through a structured curriculum, extracurricular programs, and routine religious activities. Teaching Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, and tolerance, as well as the habituation of positive behavior in daily life at school, has proven effective in shaping noble morals in students. In conclusion, preaching and character education that are applied consistently and systematically can produce students who have noble morals and behave well in accordance with the Islamic values that are taught.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Quran recitation habits at the beginning of learning sessions on students’ mental readiness. Employing a quantitative approach and simple linear regression analysis, the research explores the relationship between Quran recitation and students’ preparedness for learning. A sample of 153 eleventh-grade students from SMAN 8 Bandung was selected through simple random sampling, with data collected via a closed-ended questionnaire assessing Quran recitation habits and mental readiness indicators. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between Quran recitation and mental readiness, with an R-squared value of 0.556, indicating that 55.6% of the variance in mental readiness is accounted for by Quran recitation. These results underscore the potential of integrating spiritual practices, such as Quran recitation, into educational routines to enhance students’ focus and emotional preparedness, thereby fostering improved academic engagement.

Abstract

Study this aims to analyze the influence of the RADEC learning model on skills collaboration among students in the Islamic Religious Education lecture. The research method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental design one-group pretest-posttest type. A subject study involving eight selected students used a total sampling technique. Data was collected through test skills collaboration before and after the intervention, as well as analyzed using the normality test, paired t-test, and N-Gain test. The results of the study show significant improvement in skills collaboration among students. Paired t-test produces p value = 0.005, which indicates an important difference between pretest and posttest scores. N-Gain analysis shows an average increase of 73.93%, suggesting the effectiveness of the RADEC model in increasing skills collaboration. The RADEC stages, which involve activity reading, answering, discussing, explaining, and creating work, have proven to push work equality, communication, and responsibility to answer collectively among students. Research this confirms that the RADEC learning model is effective in developing skills for collaboration among students in the eyes of Islamic Religious Education lectures. Findings This contribution is important for the development of learning strategies relevant to innovative with need skills 21st century, especially in the context of Islamic Religious Education.
