Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) type assisted by Educaplay media in improving the learning outcomes of Class IX.8 students at SMPN 3 Malang. This research is based on the need to select a more suitable learning model for theoretical materials, such as the topic "Impacts of Social Media," which is often delivered through conventional methods that do not actively engage students. This lack of engagement can lead to decreased motivation and lower academic achievement. This study employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consists of 30 students from Class IX.8 at SMPN 3 Malang. The collected data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The normality test results showed that both the pretest (0.125) and posttest (0.086) scores were normally distributed. The t-test result was 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Educaplay media is effective in improving student learning outcomes. The average N-Gain score was 0.72, which falls into the "high" category, confirming its effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes. These findings demonstrate that the cooperative learning model of the TGT type when supported by Educaplay media, is effective in improving student academic performance. ABSTRAKAdapun tujuan penilitian berikut untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe TGT dengan bantuan media Educaplay untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IX.8 di SMPN 3 Malang. Hal yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah pemilihan model pembelajaran yang terapkan pada materi yang bersifat teori seperti dalam materi Dampak Media Sosial menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang melibatkan keaktifan siswa sehingga dapat menyebabkan penurunan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan rancangan satu kelompok yang diberikan pretest dan posttest. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 30 siswa kelas IX.8 di SMPN 3 Malang. Data yang didapatkan diujikan dengan menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji-t paired sample test, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil uji normalitas pretest 0,125 dan posttest 0,086 berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji-t sebesar 0,000<0,05 mengindikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan bantuan media Educaplay efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai rata-rata dari uji N-Gain sejumlah 0,72 yang berada dalam kategori tinggi berarti efektif dalam peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe TGT menggunakan media Educaplay efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar.

Abstract

Delivering material requires an active learning strategy suitable for teachers to implement to create a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. In Informatics lessons, students' understanding of conceptual material is a challenge, especially data and information security material. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Index Card Match strategy in improving students' conceptual understanding of Informatics subjects in grade IX SMP. This quantitative research with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design used students from class IX.3 as research subjects. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test, with data analysis using a Paired Sample T-test and N-Gain test. The research findings showed an increase in the mean pre-test from 60.40% to 91.33% in the mean post-test. The paired sample t-test results showed (p < 0.05), and the N-Gain score obtained was 0.7737 with a high category. The findings indicate that the ICM strategy is proven effective in improving concept understanding and directly impacts learning Informatics. As a follow-up, this study can involve more than one class with an experimental design involving a control group. ABSTRAKProses penyampaian materi membutuhkan suatu strategi pembelajaran aktif yang sesuai untuk diterapkan oleh guru agar tercipta suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Dalam mata pelajaran Informatika, pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi konseptual menjadi tantangan, khususnya materi keamanan data dan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektivitas dari strategi Index Card Match untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mata pelajaran Informatika kelas IX SMP. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimental tipe one group pretest-posttest design ini menggunakan siswa kelas IX.3 sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah pre-test dan post-test, dengan análisis data menggunakan uji Paired Sample T-Test dan uji N-Gain. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan mean pretest dari 60,40% menjadi 91,33% pada mean posttest. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan (p < 0,05) dan N-Gain score yang diperoleh sebesar 0,7737 dengan kategori tinggi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa strategi ICM terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan memiliki implikasi langsung dalam pembelajaran Informatika. Sebagai tindak lanjut, penelitian ini dapat melibatkan lebih dari satu kelas dengan desain eksperimen yang melibatkan kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the effectiveness of using collaborative learning models, Team Games Tournament (TGT), which is supported by Wordwall media, in teaching class IX 5 students about the social impact of informatics. In this study, the method used is quantitative, with a pre-experimental type design, one group pretest-posttest. A total of 27 students became study objects determined by purposive sampling, using measuring tools such as pre- and post-tests consisting of 25 multiple-choice questions. Data were analyzed using SPSS, through normality testing, paired sample t-test, and test N-Gain. This research revealed that the average pretest score was 53.11, while the average posttest score was 90.74. The results of the paired test show a significant value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. This shows a striking difference between the initial and final test results. The average obtained is 0.7938 (high category), with a percentage N-Gain reached 79.38% (effective category). This means that the TGT learning model, assisted by the Wordwall tool, effectively improves student learning outcomes in the social impact of informatics material. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran kolaboratif Team Games Tournament (TGT) yang didukung oleh media Wordwall, dalam mengajarkan siswa kelas IX 5 tentang dampak sosial informatika. Dalam studi ini, metode yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif, dengan rancangan pre-eksperimen tipe one group pretest-posttest. Sebanyak 27 siswa menjadi objek studi yang ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling, menggunakan alat ukur seperti tes awal dan akhir yang terdiri atas 25 pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS, melalui pengujian normalitas, paired sample t-test, dan uji N-Gain. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest adalah 53,11, sementara rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 90,74. Hasil dari uji berpasangan menunjukkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000, yang lebih kecil daripada 0,05. Ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang mencolok antara hasil tes awal serta akhir. N-Gain yang diperoleh rata-rata adalah 0,7938 (kategori tinggi), dengan presentase N-Gain mencapai 79,38% (kategori efektif). Ini berarti bahwa model pembelajaran TGT yang dibantu dengan alat bantu Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam materi dampak sosial informatika.

Abstract

Abstract

This research identified a pressing need to create specialized teaching modules for electrical topics within the science curriculum that target students’ higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Despite the recognized significance of HOTS in improving students’ educational achievements, science educators encounter obstacles when attempting to effectively teach these skills. To tackle this challenge, the study utilized a qualitative research methodology, conducting semi-structured interviews with six science teachers from diverse Malaysian schools. The primary objective was to pinpoint the necessity for developing instructional modules that enhance students’ HOTS in primary school science subjects. This study revealed four key themes arising from the needs assessment: the importance of HOTS knowledge, obstacles in teaching HOTS, effective teaching strategies, and the actual teaching of HOTS. This study underscores the critical need for enhanced professional development opportunities for teachers to effectively impart HOTS and stresses the importance of providing suitable teaching resources. By developing these tailored modules, students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills can be nurtured, paving the way for their academic and professional success. Consequently, the study’s recommendations offer valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and researchers seeking to create impactful teaching modules that cater to students’ HOTS in primary school science subjects.

Abstract

Teachers play an essential role in managing learning in the classroom, developing moral values, positive attitudes, and social skills, and training responsible individuals with moderate character. Research related to religious moderation is starting to be widely carried out. This research aims to find out how heterogeneous the research is regarding project-based learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses to strengthen the moderate character of prospective teachers. This research uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method in Scopus-indexed journals. Based on a quantitative descriptive approach, a search engine was used to search the PRISM protocol through four stages: identification, screening, feasibility, and suitability (inclusion). The research results showed that 500 articles were identified using the word moderate through the SefoRA.com application. At the screening stage, the remaining 200 articles obtained had duplicate status, did not match the fields, and the data used was not appropriately valid. At the feasibility stage, 40 articles were obtained after the elimination process, and 11 articles discussed keywords character strengthening and met the inclusion criteria, which were included in the analysis via the VosViewer engine.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the urgency of innovation in Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in guiding prospective teachers to have moderate characters. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were taken using observation techniques and documentation studies. The data were analyzed in three stages consisting of data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results of the study indicate that innovation in learning models of project-based learning in integrating the values ​​of religious moderation is very important because it can meet the demands of learning that accommodates 21st century competencies, namely communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking skills in solving problems. In addition, prospective teachers today require Moral Knowing as a basis in making a decision, including in the context of religious moderation. This study has implications for the importance of innovating in learning to meet the competencies of prospective teachers with moderate characters. Therefore, teachers, lecturers or stakeholders need to continue to encourage project-based learning models through a Moral Knowing approach, especially in integrating moderation values. This research needs to continue to be developed in order to integrate moderate character values ​​in prospective teachers

Abstract

The Oxford Handbook of Islamic Philosophy, edited by Khaled El-Rouayheb and Sabine Schmidtke, provides a comprehensive study of Islamic philosophy from the 9th to the 20th century, countering the narrative of stagnation after the 12th century. Utilizing a text- and context-based approach, the volume highlights the contributions of classical philosophers such as Al-Farabi, Avicenna, and Averroes, as well as the innovations of post-classical thinkers like Jalāl al-Dīn al-Dawānī and Mīr Dāmād, who merged logic, theology, and mysticism. Abstract

Pembelajaran bermakna menuntut strategi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa. Di SMP Negeri 3 Malang, rendahnya minat belajar dan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi konseptual seperti Keamanan Data menjadi tantangan tersendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas model Cooperative Learning tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media interaktif BookWidgets dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IX. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimental tipe one group pretest-posttest pada 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 soal. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, paired sample t-test, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 72 (pretest) menjadi 93 (posttest), dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05) dan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,7742 (kategori tinggi). Model TGT efektif diterapkan karena mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif melalui kompetisi positif dan kerja sama kelompok, sementara BookWidgets membantu memperjelas materi kontekstual melalui visualisasi dan refleksi. Dengan demikian, penerapan model TGT berbasis BookWidgets terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Keamanan Data

Abstract

Dicotomy differentiation between religious and general studies affected islamic studies become stiff and rigid. So it is less responsive to the challenge and demand of developing era. This research is aimed to arrange a new handbook of Islamic education which is spirited by ethos and breath of reintegrative epistemology between religious studies and general studies, such as: natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Meanwhile the result targeted of this research is: (1) a new islamic education syllabus which is balance with principals of islamic studies through integrative-interconnective approach (interdisciplinary); (2) A new islamic education handbook with integrative-interconnective approach which is accepted both theoretically and practically; (3) The design of Islamic education’s teaching plan in one semester presented in 16 meetings which is tested in teaching and learning process; (4) Islamic education’s teaching scenario through a new teaching material which is able to implement the mission of islamic studies interdisciplinarily.Pemilahan secara dikotomis terhadap studi agama dan studi umum menjadi sulit dan kaku. Sehingga kurang responsif terhadap tantangan dan permintaan pengembangan era. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat ulang buku pegangan baru pendidikan Islam yang berenergi oleh etos dan napas epistemologi baru antara studi agama dan studi umum, seperti: ilmu alam, ilmu sosial, dan humaniora. Sementara itu hasil yang ditargetkan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) silabus pendidikan Islam baru yang seimbang pada prinsip studi Islam melalui pendekatan integratif-interkonektif (interdisipliner); (2) sebuah buku pegangan pendidikan islam yang baru dengan pendekatan integratif-interkonektif yang dapat diterima baik secara teoritis dan praktis; (3) Rancangan rencana pengajaran pendidikan Islam dalam satu semester disajikan dalam 16 pertemuan yang diuji dalam proses belajar dan proses pengajaran; (4) Skema pengajaran pendidikan Islam melalui bahan pengajaran baru yang mampu melaksanakan misi studi Islam dengan lintas disiplin.
