Abstract

A nuclear power plant operation requires reliability safety systems. Therefore, an accidental scenario such as the LOCA becomes a specific attention. This relates to a countercurrent flow phenomenon which permits the occurrence of a flooding regime. This study aims to investigate the effets of I/D ratios of the riser on the onset of flooding and time-series voltage fluctuations of differential pressure signals of the flooding regime on a complex geometry representing a PWR hot leg. The test section contains a combination of a horizontal, an elbow and an inclined pipes. Three I/D ratios containing 1.9 (R1), 3.9 (R2) and 8.3 (R3) were assesed. The tabulated data are expressed in the term of a flooding curve. Meanwhile, the statistical features of the time-series voltage fluctuations of the signals are presented on both PDF and PSD graphs. The results obtained show that the assesed I/D ratios do not conduct significance effects on the onset of flooding. On the other hand, there are trends which can be obtained from the time-series signals with the increase of the I/D ratio. Those trends can also be observed in the such statistical features; the PDF and PSD graphs, respectively.

Abstract

AbstractBusiness activities that are members of UP2K - PKK mostly are food business. This is reasonable because the people inu very master the field. The previous IbM proponent team has provided assistance to UP2K-PKK in Kelurahan Gisikdrono, but is still general, not yet focused on each group. In general, all implementing groups of UP2K PKK Gisikdrono have high spirit and determination to move forward and develop. problems encountered and undertaking business development efforts, among others: (a) to provide input and guidance for improvement of quality, appearance and packaging of pastry products; (b) conducting Counseling on product and packaging development and innovation; (c) Provide counseling in building marketing and partnership networks; and (d) Assist group members to innovate both product, packaging and marketing network. The result of community service is the business group has been motivated to apply various extension materials that have been given in the framework of product development and marketing development of cake products and various snacks produced for the improvement of product quality and competitiveness Keywords: innovation, packaging, marketing Abstrak Kegiatan usaha yang digeluti anggota UP2K – PKK kebanyakan adalah usaha makanan. Hal ini wajar karena kaum inu sangat menguasai bidang tersebut. Tim pengusul IbM sebelumnya telah melakukan pendampingan terhadap UP2K-PKK di Kelurahan Gisikdrono ini, tetapi masih bersifat umum, belum terfokus pada tiap – tiap kelompok. Secara umum, semua kelompok pelaksana UP2K PKK Gisikdrono memiliki semangat dan tekad yang tinggi untuk terus maju dan berkembang. permasalahan yang dihadapi dan melakukan upaya – upaya pengembangan usaha, antara lain : (a) memberi masukan dan pembinaan untuk perbaikan kualitas, penampilan dan kemasan produk kue kering; (b) mengadakan Penyuluhan mengenai pengembangan dan inovasi produk maupun kemasan; (c) Memberi penyuluhan dalam membangun jaringan pemasaran dan kemitraan; dan (d) Membantu anggota kelompok untuk melakukan inovasi baik produk, kemasan dan jaringan pemasaran. Abstract

Pasar Legi merupakan salah satu pasar hasil bumi terbesar di Jawa Tengah. Pasar ini beroperasi selama 24 jam dalam satu hari.Fasilitas parkir di pasar ini belum teratur dengan baik, sehingga menimbulkan kesemrawutan pada jam - jam tertentu. Untuk itu perlu diadakan suatu penelitian tentang karakteristik parkir dan kebutuhan parkir di pasar tersebut, sehingga permasalahan tersebut dapat teratasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik parkir dan kebutuhan parkir di Pasar Legi Surakarta. Pengambilan data dilakukan selama 8 jam pengamatan dari pukul 08:00-16:00 Analisa data dilakukan dengan cara mencari nilai karakteristik parkir yang meliputi akumulasi parkir, volume parkir, durasi parkir, indeks parkir dan tingkat pergantian parkir. Selanjutnya mencari jumlah ruang parkir yang dibutuhkan saat ini. Kemudian dianalisa apakah fasilitas parkir yang tersedia memenuhi kebutuhan parkir atau tidak. Volume parkir daerah Pasar Legi adalah 2271 kendaraan. Durasi parkir tertinggi di lahan parkir dan jalan selatan adalah sepeda motor yang bernilai masing - masing adalah 2,46 jam dan 1,12 jam, sedangkan untuk parkir di Jalan S Parman adalah mobil dengan nilai durasi parkir rata - rata 1,01 jam. Tingkat pergantian parkir tertinggi dengan nilai 7,53 kend/hari/ruang terjadi di lahan parkir untuk kendaraan ringan, dan untuk sepeda motor terjadi di jalan selatan pasar dengan nilai 4,74 kend/hari/ruang. Indeks parkir yang melebihi angka 100% yaitu parkir kendaraan ringan di lahan parkir dan parkir sepeda motor di jalan selatan pasar. Parkir di Jalan S Parman belum membutuhkan ruang parkir baru, akan tetapi parkir di lahan parkir untuk kendaraan ringan dan parkir di jalan selatan untuk sepeda motor membutuhkan ruang parkir tambahan.

Abstract

This research is aimed to investigate the accuracy and cost-effectiveness of numerical simulation method for the study of flow in a waterwheel system by comparing the results to the results of experiment, as well as by comparing the computational load of various solution schemes. The simulation is performed using Ansys Fluent with sliding mesh interface (SMI) method to treat the interface between rotating waterwheel region and static channel region. The governing equations are solved using the SIMPLE and Coupled schemes, and the effects of spatial and temporal resolutions are investigated. In general, the values of torque and power and the flow patterns obtained using numerical simulation are in a good agreement with those obtained using the experiment, which confirms the reliability of the simulation method. Considering the accuracy and computational load, it is recommended to use the Coupled scheme instead of the SIMPLE scheme for numerical simulation using SMI method.

Abstract

The research we conducted has the aim of examining the effect of Work-Life Balance and Workload on the performance of employees of KPP Madya Dua Semarang, and using job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research is included in quantitative research with explanatory research type, by distributing questionnaires in the form of open and closed questions to employees of KPP Madya Semarang Dua as many as 95 people. The analysis technique used in this research is Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS approach. The results of this study indicate that job satisfaction can mediate two independent variables, namely Work-Life Balance and Workload. In addition, workload has a significant direct effect on employee performance, while work-life balance has no direct effect on employee performance.

Abstract

The study aimed to design and assess the heat flow capability of a tray dryer to support the process of supplying seedless watermelon seeds. Researchers collaborated with farmers in Seputih Mayang Village, Jember, who partnered with seeds producer of PT East West Seed Indonesia. Drying with a tray dryer that is composed of a frame, plywood walls, heating source, air exhaust cavity, shelves, thermostat, blower, and digital temperature measuring device; heat circulation moves in a zigzag manner. Determination of heat in drying by measuring temperature changes on each shelf. Shelf 1 (bottom) received the most significant heat than the upper shelves. To reduce the moisture content by 12%, the drying machine consumes 2.272 kWh of energy or equivalent to 8179.5 kJ, while the heat released during drying is 1603.800 kJ. Thus, the efficiency of the drying machine is 19.59%.

Abstract

Cultivating vannamei shrimp has dominated fishery sectors and led to aquaculture development to enhance the Indonesian economy. Lumajang, specifically Bades Village, is one of the potential regions in Jawa Timur for improving fishery products because of its long shoreline of approximately 75km. Developing shrimp cultivation requires vast funds, intensive pond systems, and broad markets. Consequently, a large number of vannamei shrimp cultivation is controlled by a large company, which will supersede the role of traditional or local fishermen. This program utilizes two main methods: socializing about the opportunity of production, cultivation, and building a business entity of vannamei shrimp and practicing creating a small pond using geomembrane as a natural insulator. These activities intend to significantly increase the interest and enthusiasm of fishermen to develop vannamei small pond systems as a solution for economic independence and new income sources. As a result, a local fishing group, widely known as Mina Dampar as a partner, accepted and approved those programs implemented in their region in a 2000m2 land area.

Abstract

UP2K-PKK is one of the spearheads in the effort to eradicate poverty. This program continues to grow as a poverty reduction program by utilizing the existence of the function of women in the household. One area in Semarang City is very active to move UP2K-PKK is Kelurahan Gisikdrono in West Semarang District. The activities of UP2K-PKK in Gisikdrono currently include 1 special group (poksus) and 10 implementing groups (poklak). The main problem is that the business is still sporadic, not well planned, and they do not know what to do so that business can grow. Besides, business players also complain that they have not been able to determine the cost of their products in a definite manner and have not done well bookkeeping on the business they are doing. Methods of activities in community service this time is in the form of training to the target audience on how to prepare a business plan in terms of market and marketing aspects, technical and operational aspects, aspects of management and organization and financial aspects..The results of community service are: (1) business actors of UP2K group understand the steps to be taken to develop their business through the preparation of business plans from various aspects including; market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, management and organization aspects and financial aspects; and (2) business actors are technically better understanding how to bookkeeping and make good and informative reports on their business.

Abstract

The Directorate General of Taxation is the agency responsible for managing state revenues through Service Offices in each region. Employees who work in the tax service office are required to perform well for the benefit of the institution. This study serves to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and competency on the performance of East Semarang Pratama Tax Service Office (KPP) employees with Organizational Citizenship Behavior as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative method using a questionnaire to collect the data. The sample in this study is 108 obtained through the census method. The analysis used to process the data is regression analysis with SPSS 16. The results of this study indicate that emotional intelligence, competence and Organizational Citizenship Behavior affect employee performance. Emotional Intelligence and Competence also influence Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Furthermore, Organizational Citizenship Behavior is able to mediate the relationship between emotional intelligence and competency on employee performance.

Abstract

Employees who work in the tax service office are required to perform well for the benefit of the institution espescially to increase state revenue. This study purpose to analyze the relationship between procedural and distributive justice on the employee’s performance of Salatiga Pratama Tax Service Office (KPP) with Employee engagement as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative method using a questionnaire to collect the data. The sample in this study is 105 obtained through the census method. The analysis used to process the data is regression analysis with SPSS 25. The results of this study indicate that procedural justice, distributive justice and Employee engagement affect employee performance. Procedural justice and distributive justice also influence Employee engagement. Furthermore, Employee engagement is able to mediate the relationship between procedural justice and distributive justice on employee performance.
