Abstract

Kota Sidoarjo mempunyai keunggulan di sektor perikanan khususnya hasil tambak, yaitu ikan mujair. Mujair yangberlimpah tersebut diolah menjadi olahan makanan yaitu mujair asap. Dusun Pelataran Desa Penatarsewu Kecamatan Tanggulangin Kabupaten Sidoarjo menghasilkan mujair asap yang memiliki rasa enak juga proses produksinya sangatbaik, karena ditunjang oleh ketersediaan bahan baku dari tambak-tambak rakyat. Permasalahan pada mitra yang saat ini harus diselesaikan adalah belum adanya penerapan teknologi dalam kegiatan pengasapan ikan. Solusi dari masingpermasalahan adalah dengan melakukan inovasi dan pembuatan alat pengasap ikan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkankewirausahaan dan daya saing serta peningkatan kapasitas (proses produksi). Metode yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan program pengabdian ini yaitu pertama, melakukan identifikasi masalah dengan survei ke lokasi mitra, kedua melakukanpeningkatan produktivitas yaitu dengan rancang alat pengasap ikan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah sebuat alat pengasapan ikan yang berfungsi sebagai media pengasapan ikan mujair, yang selanjutnya disosialisasikan kepada mitra dengan tujuan untuk mengenalkan dan memberikan informasi mengenai cara penggunaan alat (introduksi alat ke mitra). Tahap terakhir yang dilaksanakan adalah evaluasidari semua metode dan tahapan yang dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Most systems nowadays require high-sensitivity sensors to increase its system performances. However, high-sensitivity sensors, i.e. accelerometer and gyro, are very vulnerable to noise when reading data from environment. Noise on data-readings can be fatal since the real measured-data contribute to the performance of a controller, or the augmented system in general. The paper will discuss about designing the required equation and the parameter of modified Standard Kalman Filter for filtering or reducing the noise, disturbance and extremely varying of sensor data. The Kalman Filter equation will be theoretically analyzed and designed based on its component of equation. Also, some values of measurement and variance constants will be simulated in MATLAB and then the filtered result will be analyzed to obtain the best suitable parameter value. Then, the design will be implemented in real-time on Arduino to reduce the noise of IMU (Inertial Measurements Unit) sensor reading. Based on the simulation and real-time implementation result, the proposed Kalman filter equation is able to filter signal with noises especially if there is any extreme variation of data without any information available of noise frequency that may happen to sensor- reading. The recommended ratio of constants in Kalman Filter is 100 with measurement constant should be greater than process variance constant.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country. Therefore, to utilize abundant solar energy, solar power plants or solar power are made. This research aims to make it easier to monitor the voltage of solar panels and batteries through the Blynk application and Google spreadsheets, as well as automatic power controllers. The tools used in this study are Arduino Uno, MCU ESP8266 node, voltage sensors, relays, solar charge controllers, inverters, batteries, and solar panels. The monitoring and power control tool in this study works at voltages of 12VDC, 5VDC, and 220VAC. Solar panel and battery voltage measurement results are automatically updated in the Blynk app and Google sheets. In the Blynk app the data is updated every 6 seconds, but in Google sheets the data is updated every 1 minute. The average voltage sensor readings per day of solar panels and batteries are 13.011V and 12.969V, with the average error percentage of solar panel voltage is 0.13875% and on batteries is 0.0059%.

Abstract

Global plastic production exceeds 320 million tons annually, with over 40% being single-use plastics. Indonesia generates approximately 7 million tons of waste annually, of which 4.9 million tons are poorly managed. Ineffective waste management necessitates specialized processing, such as composting using Biopot—biodegradable pots made from organic materials and waste—supporting sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly waste management. This study employs a quasi-experimental design with a control group. Biopot made of plastic and earthenware are utilized for composting at depths of 60, 80, and 100 cm. The samples consist of 170 liters of organic waste collected from 50 households in Sukunan. Data analysis employs MANOVA to assess the effects of pot type and depth on compost quality. The highest average reduction in organic waste volume was observed in biopori (50.25%), followed by plastic Biopot (39.40%) and earthenware (38.05%). The quality of the compost met SNI standards, exhibiting neutral pH and appropriate C/N ratios. The plastic Biopot at 60 cm depth demonstrated the greatest effectiveness in compost production. Biopot successfully reduces organic waste by 39.40% (plastic) and 38.05% (earthenware), yielding compost that meets SNI standards. The plastic Biopot at a depth of 60 cm is the optimal choice for household organic waste composting.

Abstract

This research aims to design and build a prototype of a bottle waste exchange machine into points based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The city of Bandung faces serious problems related to waste management, especially plastic bottle waste. Similar conditions occur in the Nurtanio University Bandung environment, low student awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly waste management worsens this situation. The prototype of the bottle waste exchange machine into points is expected to provide a solution by automating the process of waste identification, sorting and collection. This machine prototype uses a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as a control center. Inductive and capacitive proximity sensors are used to detect waste types. The IoT system allows real-time monitoring and management of the machine through a mobile application. In testing, the machine successfully identified plastic bottles, glass and cans with a high level of accuracy. The implementation of this Smart Recycling Machine is also equipped with a user-friendly web interface and mobile application, making it easier for users to operate and monitor exchange transactions. Data obtained from these sensors is sent to the server via a Wi-Fi network, then processed and displayed in the form of information that is easy for users to understand. In addition, this machine is also able to provide periodic reports on the amount and type of waste that has been exchanged by users, which can be used for further analysis purposes. The results of the study indicate that the use of IoT technology in waste management can increase the efficiency of the recycling process and provide ease of monitoring. It is hoped that the implementation of this machine can increase student awareness of the importance of good waste management and support environmental conservation efforts in the Nurtanio University Bandung environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan tutup bak dan deflektor angin terhadap koefisien drag (Cd) pada truk menggunakan simulasi terowongan angin. Penelitian meliputi empat konfigurasi: truk tanpa modifikasi, truk dengan tutup bak, truk dengan deflektor angin, dan kombinasi keduanya. Variabel bebas meliputi jenis modifikasi dan kecepatan angin (7 m/s, 8,5 m/s, 10 m/s), sedangkan variabel yang terikat adalah nilai koefisien drag (Cd). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi tutup bak dan deflektor angin memberikan penurunan Cd paling signifikan hingga 34% dibandingkan kondisi tanpa modifikasi, diikuti oleh penggunaan individu tutup bak (16%) dan deflektor angin (24%). Penurunan CD ini mengurangi gaya drag secara signifikan, meningkatkan efisiensi aerodinamika, serta mengurangi konsumsi bahan bakar. Dengan demikian, modifikasi ini direkomendasikan sebagai solusi praktis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi kendaraan niaga dan mendukung ekosistem.

Abstract

Group fanaticism is an attitude of excessively defending a group even when it is in the wrong or unjust position. In contemporary society, this phenomenon has intensified and frequently triggers horizontal conflicts, social polarization, and hinders the realization of moderate and harmonious religious life. The hadith in Sunan Abu Dawud number 5119 serves as a normative reference that explicitly prohibits blind fanaticism, making it highly relevant to be examined from the perspective of Islamic education. This study aims to analyze the authenticity of the hadith and explore its educational implications. The research employs a qualitative approach through sanad and matn analysis, complemented by a conceptual pedagogical framework. The novelty of this study lies in integrating classical hadith criticism with an analysis of its educational implications in contemporary Islamic education. The findings indicate that the sanad is classified as sahih li ghayrih and the matn as sahih li dhatihi, thus categorized as maqbul ma‘mulun bihi and suitable as a normative foundation. The hadith embodies educational values such as anti-fanaticism, religious moderation (wasathiyah), tolerance, critical thinking, and inclusivity. Its implications highlight that this hadith functions not only as a theological norm but also as a foundational basis for curriculum development, instructional strategies, and character education aimed at fostering moderate, critical, and socially harmonious learners in multicultural societies.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infections  (ARI) remain one of the primary causes of mortality among children under 5 in Indonesia, and poor inadequate drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions can exacerbated the transmission of respiratory pathogens. However, their association with ARIs in Indonesia remains underreported. This study aimed to analyze the contribution of these sanitation conditions to ARI symptoms in children under five in Indonesia. This research method was cross-sectional quantitative design study based on secondary data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS), based on secondary data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS), which was the most recent available at the time of the study. The determined sample consisted all toddlers aged 0-59 months, from women aged 15-49 years. The weighted sample that met the inclusion criteria (children aged 0-59 months, living with their parents, willing to answer questions) and exclusion criteria (missing data and "don't know" answers) consisted of 16,681 observations. Independent variables included sanitation infrastructure, mother’s education, wealth index, and residential location. The dependent variable was reported ARI symptoms in 2 weeks prior to the interview by their mother. Data were analyzed using CI 95% logistic regression to determine associations, and pathway analysis was conducted to explore the direct and indirect relationships among variables. Poor toilet facilities [OR: 1.80, CI: 1.46-2,27] increased the risk of ARI symptom, meanwhile treated water before consumption reduce the risk [OR:0.63, CI:0.51-0.77]. Long travel distances to clean water aslo were found as factor that increased the risk of ARI symptoms [OR:2.31, CI:0.65-3.02]. Indirect factors such as low mother’s education, low wealth index, and rural residency, also contributed to ARI symptoms in children. In conclusion, inadequate household sanitation significantly contribute to ARI symptoms in children under five in Indonesia. These findings underscore the need for improved sanitation infrastructure and targeted health interventions in vulnerable communities.

Abstract

Energi alternatif yang berasal dari biomassa atau bahan-bahan limbah organik seperti briket memiliki potensi besar. Bahan baku briket melimpah dan sangat potensial dikembangkan di daerah-daerah. Desa Sadar memiliki komoditi tanaman nilam (Pogostemon cablin) sebagai penghasil minyak atsiri. Namun industri tersebut menghasilkan limbah yaitu ampas daun dan batang nilam. Demi mendorong pemanfaatan biomassa dari limbah nilam yang tidak termanfaatkan menjadi sesuatu yang bernilai ekonomis maka perlu dilakukan pelatihan terkait potensi pemanfaatan biomassa sebagai alternatif sumber energi terbarukan dan ramah lingkungan melalui pemberian pengetahuan dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat Desa Sadar, Kabupaten Bone. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki pengetahuan yang terbatas atau bahkan tidak mengetahui teknologi briket arang. Hal ini mengindikasikan adanya potensi besar untuk mengembangkan usaha briket sehingga perlu eksplorasi lebih lanjut melalui penelitian dan pengembangan serta mempromosikan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam secara efisien dalam mendukung keberlanjutan energi dan pengolahan limbah.

Abstract

Desa Oro Gading, Kabupaten Bulukumba, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia, merupakan sentra produksi kopi dengan luas 533,0 Ha dan populasi sekitar 1.403 penduduk. Meskipun kaya akan sumber daya alam, petani kopi di Desa Oro Gading menghadapi tantangan serius seperti keterbatasan pengetahuan dan fasilitas pengolahan kopi yang memadai, pendapatan stagnan, dan cacat produksi. Program pemberdayaan petani kopi dirancang untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan daya saing produk kopi melalui fermentasi anaerob kopi. Dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan petani, diharapkan masyarakat dapat menghasilkan biji kopi berkualitas tinggi, meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi, dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan di Desa Oro Gading. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dimulai dari penyuluhan interaktif, demonstrasi langsung, praktik langsung, dan dilakukan evaluasi hasil. Hasil implementasi program diikuti dengan jumlah peserta 20 orang terdiri 63,64% Perempuan dan 36,36% laki-laki. Pada program ini tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat mengalami peningkatan dengan adanya materi dan praktik langsung sehingga mendukung dan merangsang motivasi masyarakat untuk mengembangkan kopi bercita rasa tinggi hasil fermentasi anaerob di desa Orogading. Hal ini sejalan dengan beberapa tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs) yang tertuang pada poin 1 dan 12 dalam peningkatan komoditi pertanian berbasis varietas lokal.
