Abstract

ABSTRACT[Effect of Kijing Extract (Pilsbryoconcha exilis) on the Recovery of Sperm Quality in Mice (Mus musculus)]. This study aims to determine the effect of Pilsbryoconcha exilis extract on the quality of M. muscullus sperm. The approach used for the study was experiment with a complete randomized design model. In this study, 4 treatments and 5 replications were conducted, including treatment 1 which only administered aquades as control (P0), treatment 2 which only given paracetamol dose 250 mg / kg (P1), and treatment 3 given paracetamol dose 250 mg / kg and P. exilis extract dose 0,46 mg / g (P2) and treatment 4 given paracetamol 250 mg / kg and extract P. exilis 0,69 mg / g (P3). Technique of data analysis using qualitative descriptive and statistical test of One Way Annova parametry, and if obtained significant difference then continued statistic test of Smallest Real Difference. From the results of the study, it was found that P. exilis and paracetamol extract had no effect on sperm quality. Keywords: Sperm; M. muscullus; extract P. exilis; paracetamol.(Received August 14 , 2018; Accepted January 20, 2019; Published February 26, 2019) ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak Pilsbryoconcha exilis terhadap kualitas sperma M. muscullus yang diberi parasetamol. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan model rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Pada penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan meliputi perlakuan 1 yang hanya diberikan aquades merupakan kontrol (P0), perlakuan 2 yang hanya diberikan parasetamol dosis 250 mg/kg bb (P1), dan perlakuan 3 yang diberikan parasetamol dosis 250 mg/kg bb dan ekstrak P. exilis dosisi 0,46 mg/g bb (P2) dan perlakuan 4 yang diberikan parasetamol 250 mg/kg bb dan ekstrak P. exilis 0,69 mg/g bb (P3). Teknik analisa data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan uji statistik parametri One Way Annova, dan jika didapatkan perbedaan yang bermakna maka dilanjutkan uji statistic Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Dari hasil penelitian diketahui pemberian ekstrak P. exilis dan parasetamol berepengaruh tapi tidak signifikan terhadap kualitas sperma. Kata Kunci: Sperma; M. muscullus; ekstrak P. exilis; parasetamol.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengemas hasil profil protein hati Mus musculus dengan elektroforesis dua dimensi ke dalam buku elektronik (e-book), dan mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif  mahasiswa terhadap implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan media e-book. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Development Research). Hasil penelitian ini  yaitu media pembelajaran e-book yang dibangun berdasarkan hasil riset secara struktural terdiri dari; a) pendahuluan, b) materi isi elektroforesis, c) analisis hasil penelitian,  d) kesimpulan, e) evaluasi, dan f) biodata penulis. Setelah e-book diimplementasi terhadap mahasiswa sebanyak 30 orang menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang berpikir sangat kreatif berjumlah 19 orang (63%), mahasiswa berpikir kreatif 7 orang (23,3%), dan mahasiswa berpikir cukup kreatif 3 orang (13,3%).Kata kunci : E-book ; elektroforesis 2-D; kemampuan berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

AbstraCT[Activity test of Caesalpinia sp seed extract on erythrocytes amount of Mus musculus infected by Plasmodium berghei and its implementation in chemistry learning]. The aims of this study were to (1) determine the activity of seed extract (Caesalpinia sp) on the number of Erythrocytes of M. Musculus of Swiss Webster Strain infected by P.berghei, (2) Find  the active compounds obtained from the isolation of Caesalpinia sp seed extract (3) Find the differences in student learning outcomes about the separation of secondary metabolites using thin layer chromatography (TLC) which is taught in chemistry learning by using LKS. In this study Caesalpinia sp seed extract was purified by thin layer chromatography and column coromatography, and was identified by IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. M. musculus infected with P. berghei was given Caesalpinia sp seed extract at a dose of 0.028 g/Kgbb, 0.056 g/Kgbb, and 0.084 g / Kgbb by gavage, while the positive control group was given Kloroquin diphosphate, negative control was given olive oil. Caesalpinia sp seed extract with a dose of 0.056 g/Kgbb inhibited the highest plasmodium, which was 42.89% and even exceeded the malaria drug commonly used chloroquin diphosphate 29.85%. Caesalpinia sp seed extract capable of reducing plasmodium in erythrocytes is also able to increase the number of uninfected erythrocytes. The active compounds obtained from the isolation of Caesalpinia sp seed extract are alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and terpenoids. In the implementation of extracurricular group learning is taught by using worksheets. There are significant differences where the average posttest score is 88.67 and the average pretest is 32.1. Keywords: Caesalpinia Sp.; Erythrocyte; Plasmodium berghei; Mus muscullus; Student working sheet.

Abstract

ABSTRACT[Acclimation Notochelys platynota That  Will Be In Conservation In Area Ex Situ  Bengkulu University]. The aim of this research is to know  the effect of water pool in conservation target area to growth rate of N. platynota which will be released in conservation area of turtle of Bengkulu University. At the data collection stage, the pool water concentration is used P1: 100% pool water, P2: 75% pool water + 25% water well, P3: 50% pool water + 50% water well, P4: 25% pond water + 75% water Wells, P5: 100% well water. The data analyzed were weight growth rate, carapace length growth rate, growth rate of carapace width, body weight growth rate. The result is giving 100% of pool water in conservation target area of University of Bengkulu able to increas growth of N. Pada tahap pengumpulan data digunakan konsentrasi air kolam yaitu P1: 100 % air kolam, P2: 75% air kolam + 25% air sumur, P3: 50% air kolam + 50% air sumur, P4 : 25% air kolam + 75% air sumur, P5: 100% air sumur. Data yang dianalisis adalah laju pertumbuhan berat badan,  laju pertumbuhan panjang karapaks, laju pertumbuhan lebar karapaks dan  laju pertumbuhan tebal badan.. Hasil adalah pemberian 100% air kolam di area target konservasi Universitas Bengkulu mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan  N. Abstract

ABSTRACT[Study of Kuya Batok (Cuoro Ambonensis) Early Growth’s in UNIB Forestry Pond and its Implementation as Teaching Materials on Vertebrate Zoology]. The goal of this study was to know the growth of C. amboinensis in the ex-situ conservation area of the University of Bengkulu Forestry Pond during the 10 weeks study and 3 weeks continuous research, to know the condition of abiotic factor C. amboinensis in ex-situ conservation area of Forest Ponds of Bengkulu University, and to know the knowledge and understanding of the students about the early growth of C. amboinensis, the conservation concept at the University of Bengkulu Forestry Pond and the change of students conservation attitude by using teaching materials. Implementation of learning adoption of existing teaching material products "Technique Monitoring of Black-turtle Lineage of Coldhamii" (Astuti, 2016). The teaching material is in the form of a book entitled "Monitoring Technique of Turtle Shell (Cauro amboinensis)". The results of this study show that: a) The first study only received 1 C. amboinensis for 10 weeks of observation and growth (weight, length, width, thickness, anterior-posterior arch, b) Abiotic factors in the conservation area supported growth of C. amboinensis and suitable for in situ conservation pond ex situ in UNIB, c) On the second observation release 15 C. amboinensis by using 3 large trapp to conservation pond for 3 weeks and experiencing growth, d) condition of abioic factor become habitat C. amboinensis include: ground temperature 280C, water temperature 300C, relative humidity 80%, soil pH 6, pH 7 water, turbidity 80, e) high knowledge of students about the existence of turtles 22.8% - to 77.2% on conservation 13% to 87%, not in line with the conservation attitude of 34% to 66%.Keywords: Growth; C. amboinensis; abiotic factor; teaching material.

Abstract

ABSTRACT[Capacity of student critical thinking through learning base on ecosystem study of water river]. South Bengkulu one of regencies in Bengkulu Province, located west in of the Bukit Barisan Mountains range which has a height of 600-1200 meters above sea level. South Bengkulu has a lot natural wealth that can be utilized as a medium of learning. This research aims to measure the ability of critical thinking and process skill student of class VII MTN 2 south Bengkulu by utilizing environment-based teaching materials. This research uses observation data collection techniques and test (pre test and post test ) Assessment of process skill conducted on two learning activities that is indoor and out door learning activities. Performance of process skill from student of class VII MTsN 2 South Bengkulu including into the category excellent and good while student critical thinking skills classically including into the critical categoryKeywords: student critical thinking skills; environment-based teaching materials’ pre test and post test.(Received November 19, 2018; Accepted April 15, 2019; Published June 18, 2019) ABSTRAKBengkulu Selatan adalah salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Bengkulu terletak di sebelah barat pegunungan Bukit Barisan di mana ketinggian pegunungan tersebut rata-rata 600-1200 m diatas permukaan laut (dpl) yang mempunyai banyak kekayaan alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Mengukur kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa dan ketrampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Bengkulu Selatan dengan memanfaatkan bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan tes (pre test dan Post test). Penilaian keterampilan proses ini dilakukan pada dua kegiatan pembelajaran indoor dan kegiatan pembelajaran outdoor. Kemampuan kinerja keterampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 bengkulu Selatan termasuk kedalam kategori sangat baik dan Baik dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara klasikal termasuk kedalam kategori Kritis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan, Pre test dan post test.

Abstract

ABSTRACT[Acclimation of Siebenrockiella crassicollis in Conservation Area Ex Situ at Bengkulu University].  This study aims to determine the effect of pool water composition on the growth rate of S. crassicollis, which will be conservated in ex situ area of Bengkulu University campus. The turtles initially acclimated in the Sumber Belajar Ilmu Hayati (SBIH) Ruyani Bengkulu. The result of this research shows 50% of well water + 50% of pond water has the highest growth rate of S. crassicolis, but the difference of growth rate in each treatment group does not look different significantly. Thus, the pond water in the ex situ area of Bengkulu University can be recommended for use as an Ex situ Conservation site for S. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada Maret 2017  – April 2017, diaklimasi di Sumber Belajar Ilmu Hayati (SBIH) Ruyani Bengkulu. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pemberian 50% air sumur + 50% air kolam memiliki tingkat laju pertumbuhan S. crassicolis paling tinggi,namun perbedaan rata-rata laju pertumbuhan pada setiap kelompok perlakuan tidak terlihat berbeda signifikan/tidak berbeda nyata. Sehingga, air kolam di area ex situ Universitas Bengkulu dapat direkomendasikan untuk digunakan sebagai lokasi konservasi Ex situ bagi S. crassicolis.Kata kunci : S. crassicolis; air kolam; lembar kerja siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the students’s response to the guidebooks and training activities entitled "Monitoring Technique of the Cyclemys oldhamii Tortoise " in the ex situ conservation area Taman Pintar University of Bengkulu. The results showed that students responded positively to the guidebooks and training activities. Forestry students was very interested in the field practices related to the technique and monitoring activities of the C.oldhamii tortoise, while MIPA students was interested  in knowledge of the habitat, morphology, and its conservation. Forestry students showed the biggest  response to conserve  C.oldhamii and other tortoises, meanwhile MIPA students was more interested to do the next  observations and research about C.oldhamii and other tortoises for thesis research. Forestry and MIPA students could explain the benefits and plans after the training activities "Technique Monitoring of the Cyclemys oldhamii Tortoise" well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: a) komposisi pakan yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan H. spinosa, b) kondisi fisiologi dan kondisi fisik H. spinosa selama masa aklimatisasi, dan c) kondisi lingkungan  abiotik di area konservasi ex- situ UNIB.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) kelompok pemberian pakan 100% Musa paradisiaca (P2) menunjukkan pertumbuhan berat badan yang lebih baik daripada  kelompok pemberian pakan 50% Carica papaya : 50% Musa paradisiaca (P3) dan kelompok pemberian pakan 100% Carica papaya (P1), b) Tidak ditemukannya kelainan kondisi fisik H. spinosa pada  kelompok pemberian pakan 100% Musa paradisiaca (P2) dan kelompok pemberian pakan 100% Carica papaya (P1), c) Tidak ditemukannya infeksi parasit pada  kelompok pemberian pakan 100% Musa paradisiaca (P2) pada hasil pemeriksaan feses. Sedangkan pada pada hasil pemeriksaan feses. kelompok pemberian pakan 100% Carica papaya (P3) dan kelompok pemberian pakan 50% Carica papaya : 50% Musa paradisiaca.  ditemukan adanya infeksi telur cacing Ascaris lumbricoides, dan d) tanah di area di area konservasi ex-situ UNIB memiliki pH  6,5 dengan ketegori subur. Suhu tanah di area konservasi konservasi ex-situ UNIB yaitu 29-29,5?C. Sedangkan kelembaban udara di area konservasi konservasi ex-situ UNIB yaitu 64-79%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT[Study of Potential of Wild Taro as a Bioethanol Source and Its Implementation in Biological Learning]. This research aims to (1) Determine the carbohydrate content in three types of wild taro. (2) Assessing the effect of different types of yeast on ethanol produced. (3) Assessing the effect of fresh and dried taro tubers on ethanol produced. (4) To find out the difference in learning outcomes of students who use research-based LKS and those who do not use research-based LKS. Bioethanol is obtained through fermentation using yeast. The method used is direct observation and testing of the bioethanol produced. The carbohydrate content of taro kembaang (Colocasia esculenta) in wet conditions is 23.04% and in dry conditions 78.433%. For kemumu forest (Alocasia macrorrhiza) in wet conditions 20.08% and in dry conditions 79,725. For black taro (Xantomonas nigrum) 23.20% in wet conditions and in dry conditions 72.622%. Traditional yeast produces more ethanol than packaging yeast (Fermipan). More ethanol is produced in taro in dry conditions, namely kembaang taro (Colocasia esculenta) 2.30%, kemumu taro forest (Alocasia macrorrhiza) 2.64% and black taro (Xantomonas nigrum) 2.23%. Based on the fresh dried taro tuber, dried taro tubers produce more ethanol. LKS which is a learning resource is used to determine whether there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class using the T test. There are significant differences in learning outcomes between the experimental classes using research-based LKS and the control class that does not use research-based LKS which is characterized by the T test test where th> tk, th = 18.3138 and tk = 2.0085. (2) Mengkaji pengaruh perbedaan jenis ragi terhadap etanol yang dihasilkan. (3) Mengkaji  pengaruh segar dan keringnya umbi talas terhadap etanol yang dihasilkan. (4) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan LKS berbasis riset dan yang tidak menggunakan LKS berbasis riset. Bioetanol didapatkan melalui fermentasi menggunakan ragi.Kandungan karbohidrat talas kembaang (Colocasia esculenta) pada kondisi basah 23.04% dan pada kondisi kering 78.433%. Untuk talas kemumu hutan (Alocasia macrorrhiza) pada kondisi basah 20.08% dan pada kondisi kering 79.725. Untuk talas hitam (Xantomonas nigrum) 23.20% pada kondisi basah dan pada kondisi kering 72.622%. Ragi tradisional lebih banyak  menghasilkan etanol  dari pada ragi kemasan (Fermipan). Etanol lebih banyak dihasilkan pada talas dalam kondisi kering yaitu talas kembaang (Colocasia esculenta) 2.30%, talas kemumu hutan (Alocasia macrorrhiza) 2.64% dan talas hitam (Xantomonas nigrum) 2.23%. Berdasarkan segar keringnya umbi talas, umbi talas kering lebih banyak menghasilkan etanol. LKS yang merupakan sumber belajar digunakan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan uji T. Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan LKS berbasis riset dan kelas kontrol yang tidak menggunakan LKS berbasis riset yang ditandai dengan uji T tes dimana th>tk, th = 18.3138 dan tk = 2.0085. Sehingga hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Kata kunci: Potensi; talas liar; bioetanol; pembelajaran.
