Abstract

Introduction: One aspect of the cause of nutritional anemia is the lack of iron content in the food consumed every day, which is characterized by a lack of hemoglobin (Hb) levels below normal. This problem occurs because of the tendency of teenagers to have regular menstrual cycles every month and this will be exacerbated if the iron content of daily food is low. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of anemia prevention education with video media and leaflets on the knowledge and attitudes of young women in consuming blood-added tablets at SHS 1 Muara Lawa. Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental study with a two group time series pretest-posttest design which was carried out in April 2022. The population in this study were all young female students at SHS Muara Lawa, as many as 145 people. Results and Discussion: The effect of providing education on anemia prevention with video media and leaflets on the level of knowledge of young women in consuming blood-added tablets with a value of 0.00 then sig.<0.05 or (0.00<0.05) and the effect of providing education on anemia prevention with video media and leaflets on the attitude of young women in consuming blood-added tablets obtained a value of 0.00 then sig.<0.05 or (0.00<0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of anemia prevention education with video media and leaflets on the knowledge and attitudes of young women in consuming blood-added tablets at SHS 1 Muara Lawa.

Abstract

Introduction: The inability to drink in LBW is caused by weak sucking muscle ability and unstable oral ability and swallowing and breathing on LBW babies influenced by maturity of the structure of the brain and cranial nerves. The LBW babies taken care does not suck directly on the mother's breast, this is because the mother and baby are taken care for separately. Objective: To analyze the effect of Pre-Feeding Oral Stimulation on the sucking ability of LBW Babies in the NICU Room at Harapan Insan Sendawar General Hospital. Method: This study used experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test. The population in this study were all LBW infants who were treated in the NICU room. Results and Discussion: The result of research was gained that the average of baby's sucking ability before oral stimulation was 2.67 where the lowest value of sucking ability is 0 and the highest value of sucking ability was 6. The average of baby's sucking ability after oral stimulation is 3.73 where the lowest value of sucking ability was 1 and the highest value of sucking ability was 7. The Statistical test results by conducting Wilcoxon T test were found that the P value was 0.01. So, the p-value (0.01) is smaller than the alpha value (0.05), it means that the null hypothesis is rejected. Conclusion: There is an effect of Pre-Feeding Oral Stimulation on the Sucking Ability of LBW Babies in the NICU Room at Harapan Insan Sendawar General Hospital in the year 2022.

Abstract

This Community Service is held with the Accounting Research Institute (ARI) of Universitas Tekhnologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The primary goal of this service is that participants are expected to understand taxation for Small and Medium Enterprises in Indonesia. Participants can also understand taxation in Indonesia, especially for Small and Medium Enterprises so that it can be compared with the conditions in Malaysia. The method used in the discussion of tax literacy for small and medium enterprises is online, namely via zoom. It was implemented on October 25, 2024, which was held at 7:30 WIB where there was a 1 hour difference with Malaysia, namely 08:30. This activity was carried out using zoom online which was attended by 3 classes chaired by Dr. Muhammad Nazmul Hoque from the Faculty of Accountancy, Universitas Teknologi Mara, Malaysia. At the time of zoom, not only students from Malaysia, but also students from Indonesia with the resource person being Prof. Dr. Luk Luk Fuadah, SE., MBA., Ak., CA. Contributions for ARI UiTM Students include Improving Practical Tax Knowledge, Strengthening Soft Skills, Field Experience, Understanding Tax in a Social Context, Strengthening the Role as an Agent of Change.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik pada materi getaran dan gelombang di SMP Negeri 14 Pontianak dan menguji perbedaan kemampuan pada setiap aspek literasi sains. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa soal tes berbentuk essay yang terdiri dari 15 soal berbasis literasi sains. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 14 Pontianak dengan jumlah 174 orang. Literasi sains yang diukur meliputi aspek konten sain, proses sains, dan konteks sains. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik pada materi getaran dan gelombang sebesar 33,70% untuk aspek konten sains, 44,60% untuk aspek proses sains, dan 42,00% pada aspek konteks sains. Berdasarkan uji Kruskall-Wallis diperoleh hasil analisis bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan peserta didik pada setiap aspek literasi sains. Bagi peneliti lain diharapkan dapat menerapkan pembelajaran sains yang menitikberatkan pada aspek konten sains.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji keefektifan transdermal patch dari ekstrak daun beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) terhadap luka sayat grade 1, transdermal patch dari ekstrak daun beluntas masih tergolong baru dalam pengaplikasiannya pada luka sayat dan masih belum banyak yang menguji seperti ini. Analisis kualitatif deskriptif melalui sumber data primer yang berasal dari hewan uji berupa mencit putih (Mus musculus) serta bahan uji yaitu daun beluntas yang diambil sendiri sampai pengujian bahan yang melalui uji fitokimia serta dilakukan uji sediaan melalui uji organoleptik, keseragaman bobot, uji ketebalan, uji ketahanan lipatan, uji pH, freeze thaw dan dilakukan dengan metode perhitungan statistik dari aplikasi SPSS yaitu One Way Anova dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya keefektifan pada kelompok uji dengan konsentrasi 15% dari 5 kelompok percobaan yaitu kontrol positif (povidone iodine), kontrol negatif (tanpa ekstrak daun beluntas), kelompok konsentrasi ekstrak beluntas 5% dan kelompok konsentrasi ekstrak beluntas 10%. Pada kelompok uji dengan konsentrasi ekstrak beluntas 15% mengalami kesembuhan luka sayat total pada hari ke-6 dari 14 hari, itu lebih cepat dibanding kelompok perlakuan lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai masukan bagi pemangku kebijakan untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan sediaan transdermal patch ekstrak daun beluntas dengan konsentrasi 15%.

Abstract

In the current digital era, easy and fast access to information positively influences students' ability to access helpful information in the learning process. This service aims to increase teachers' capacity to design and produce products in the form of infographic learning media. The technological innovation trained in this service is to realize the development in electronic and printed form through Canva for education. Participatory Action Research (PAR) is the method used in the implementation of service activities with stages: 1) giving an initial test, 2) implementing the service, 3) the final stage consisting of evaluation and reflection, and 4) giving the final test. The target participants of the service activities were elementary school teachers of science subjects in Palembang City. Based on the data obtained, there is an increase in test results with an N-gain of 0.81, which is included in the high category. Based on the above results, the training participants strongly agree that this service activity can increase their understanding and skills in creating infographic learning media through Canva for Education

Abstract

Virus Covid-19 merujuk pada singkatan dari “Coronavirus Disease 2019″ atau penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus Corona pada 2019, masih menjadi topik perbincangan yang hangat sejak awal kemunculannya pada bulan Desember 2019 di China. Hampir kurang lebih 215 Negara di Dunia terjangkit virus corona termasuk Indonesia dan memicu keresahan ekonomi secara global. Program KKN-PPM ini bertujuan untuk menjadikan desa tangguh dan berdaya dalam menghadapi Covid-19 di era kebiasaan baru. Melalui bantuan berupa bibit sayuran dan bibit lele dalam upaya mengoptimalkan ketersediaan dan stabilitas ketahanan pangan. Selain itu bantuan untuk pencegahan penularan Covid-19 melalui pembagian hand sanitizer dan masker kain. Diharapkan dari kegiatan ini masyarakat mampu meningkatkan kepedulian, empati, produktifitas, dan kreatifitas dari permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi. Program kegiatan KKN-PPM Tematik ini dibagi menjadi 3 tahap diantaranya: sosialisasi, penyuluhan serta pendampingan dan evaluasi. Dalam pelaksanaannya bekerja sama dengan pihak desa selaku tuan rumah, dan masyarakat sebagai peserta, sehingga program kerja dari KKN-PPM ini dapat berjalan dan berkelanjutan. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini sebagai langkah antisipasi dampak Pandemi Covid-19, di mana harga pangan yang tinggi dapat mempengaruhi kebutuhan pangan masyarakat. Dan masyarakat juga berperan dalam mengurangi potensi penularan Covid-19.

Abstract

Anemia is one of the health problems that often occurs in adolescents, both boys and girls, and has a significant impact on academic achievement, physical activity, and growth and development. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of students of SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran regarding the dangers of anemia and the importance of early prevention. The method used is health education through interactive counseling and distribution of educational leaflets in August 2023. A total of 80 students from grades X and XI participated. The pre-test results showed that only 35% of students had sufficient knowledge about anemia, while after intervention through education, this figure increased to 87.5%. This activity proves that school-based education is very effective in increasing student awareness of anemia. It is hoped that similar activities can be carried out periodically as part of the UKS and promotive-preventive programs in schools.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas cannot produce enough insulin or when the body cannot use the insulin produced effectively. Insulin is a hormone that regulates blood sugar. This community service provides health education about diabetes mellitus for the community. This community service activity is carried out through direct observation methods to the community and door to door education. The results show that counseling can increase the knowledge of each individual Pretest 48% and Posttest 78%. It is concluded that by providing health education to the community, their knowledge will also increase. This community service activity can have an impact on improving the health of the community.

Abstract

Abstract The issue of gender inequality remains a global challenge, including in the Muslim community. Although Islamic teachings uphold justice and equality as reflected in the Quran, the interpretation of gender bias in Islamic history has led to discriminatory practices against women. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in building gender equality in the school environment, by highlighting Islamic principles that support gender justice and efforts to reinterpret religious texts that are more egalitarian. The research method used is a literature study by analyzing literature related to Islamic teachings on women, the history of Islamic thought on women's rights, and the role of education in shaping understanding of gender. The results of the study indicate that Islamic education has great potential in instilling the values ​​of gender equality in students through the delivery of comprehensive and fair Islamic teachings, as well as an introduction to the thoughts of progressive Muslim figures who defend women's rights. Reinterpretation of religious texts with a contextual approach and maqashid sharia is the key to eliminating gender bias and restoring the spirit of Islamic justice. Islamic education with a gender perspective can empower students to understand and practice the values ​​of equality in everyday life.
