Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of Elementary School Teacher Education students’ in mastering Higher Order Thinking Skills with Problem-Based Learning Model (PBM) which used to support Higher Order Thinking Skills problem-oriented situation. The method used in this research is the experimental method. Experiments were used to identify Higher Order Thinking Skills through the application of Problem-Based Learning Model (PBL) with scientific approach to Elementary School Teacher Education students’, Faculty of Education, State University of Medan, in the first semester of Study Year 2017/2018. The research design used was Pre-test and Post-test group because the observation was done 2 times before experiment (O1 / pre-test) and after experiment (O2 / post-test). Based on the results obtained, in the control class using the lecture method obtained by the data with the average learning outcomes 79.08 while with the model of Problem Based Learning with the Scientific Approach obtained by the average data learning outcome is 83.03. Based on the data, it is found that  Fcount> Ftable is 6.53> 2.67 then Ho is rejected and it can be concluded that there are significant differences in the implementation of Problem-Based Learning model with scientific approach in increasing Higher Order Thinking Skills. Keywords : Scientific Approach, Skills, Higher Order Thinking

Abstract

Keterampilan berfikir tingkat tinggi penting diluaskan pada diri peserta didik, karena mereka memainkan peran penting dalam memahami masalah. Pembelajaran mengutamakan proses pemodelan matematika berdasarkan kondisi lingkungan siswa, sehingga pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dapat mengembangkan daya pikir tingkat tinggi. Analsis ini merupakan tentang penelitian kualitatif interpretatif yaitu suatu studi yang datanya diberikan secara wajar atau apa adanya dengan menerapkan tata kerja yang terstuktur, terpaku dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan agar tidak kehilangan sifat ilmiahnya. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menginformasikan kepada pengajar atau pendidik bahwa dalam mengimplementasikan RME (Realistics Mathematic Education) dapat meningkatkan pola pikir murid sehingga meningkatkan keterampilan HOTS pada muatan bidang studi pada SD. Pola didalam analisis ini menggunakan metode mengidentifikasi, mengkaji, mengevaluasi, menginterpretasikan penelitan. Berdasarkan tinjauan pustaka, didasarkan pada beberapa indikator kemampuan berpikir siswa tinggi: interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Selanjutnya, pengembangan beberapa langkah pembelajaran pendidikan matematika realistik (RME): persiapan, inisiasi, sistem proses pembelajaran, dan penyelesaian.

Abstract

Leadership style talks about how a leader applies his leadership. While the value of leadership is a principle held by leaders in the application of leadership. The democratic leadership style makes human resources a core and main component in the organization. All human resources in the organization will have value and are valuable if they have the competence, willingness, mind, and interest and have attention and have different views with other people in the organization. In this study, it aims to see an interesting phenomenon to study that the democratic leadership style is able to develop and advance the development of Belia House. This study will use a descriptive qualitative approach. The author does this because there are several things that require direct investigation of the informant. According to Jane Richie, qualitative research is an attempt to present the social world and its perspective in the world, in terms of concepts, behaviors, and issues, about the human being studied. The democratic leadership style places more emphasis on high support in decision-making and policy with little direction. A good leadership factor will be the control of problem solving in an organization. Democratic leadership in MSME Belia House can encourage employee performance and motivate them to excel by listening to input from all parties, both leaders and subordinates.

Abstract

These 21st century skills need to be developed from an early age through education so that students can live decently in a global society for productive years. The Faculty of Natural Sciences is used as an alternative for life skills education in the 21st century. The purpose of this research is to equip the Indonesian people, especially the government, educators, students and child observers about the importance of child-friendly schools and JIGS Medan in providing educational facilities to students who attend 21. This is to educate about the existence of the school of nature. Century life skills. This survey is an interpretive qualitative survey. In this study, primary data from observations and interviews at Natural School were obtained from observations and interviews at JIGS Natural School Medan, and secondary data from literature studies. Abstract

Abstract: Muzax Media Numeracy in Primary Schools. The assistance that will be carried out aims to improve the ability of teachers to design and use the "Muzax" Numeracy media in Elementary Schools. The programmed activities will be carried out through several stages, including: (1) assistance in designing and manufacturing "Muzax" media, (2) assistance in using "Muzax" media in the learning process, (3) simulations in the form of lesson study in the use of "Muzax media "In numeracy learning, (4) open class / real teaching use of the media" Muzax "in numeracy learning, (5) monitoring and evaluation, and (6) follow-up. Through the 6 (six) stages of the activities to be carried out, it is hoped that the ability of teachers will increase, especially those related to making “Muzax” media, and their effective use in numeracy learning in elementary schools. Then, the assistance program method will be carried out through several stages, including: (1) preparation, (2) implementation, (3) monitoring and evaluation, and (4) follow-up. Abstract

Abstrak: Analisis Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru (Studi Kasus Sdn 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi). Keberhasilan pendidikan dipengaruhi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi. Kemampuan mengerahkan sumber daya yang ada di sekolah yang digunakan secara optimal untuk mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan merupakan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Pelaksanaan kepemimpinan ini dilihat untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah bagaimana gaya kepemimpian dalam mencapai peningkatan kinerja guru di SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang dapat mendekati kealamiahan sumber data yang bersifat menyeluruh yang berkaitan dengan kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pelaksanaan observasi dan melakukan wawancara dengan narasumber yang dilakukan peneliti berkaitan dengan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dengan menggunakan gaya kepemimpian partisipatif yang dilakukan kepala sekolah di SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi. Kemudian, masih rendah kinerja yang ditunjukkan. Selanjutnya, untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru dapat menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan partisipasi yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi serta adanya pengawasan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah pada kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan siswa di SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi perlu ditingkatkan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah jika gaya yang digunakan kepala sekolah ingin ditingkatkan, maka kinerja guru juga akan meningkat sehingga kualitas pendidikan yang dihasilkan akan terpengaruh.Abstract: Principal Leadership Style Analysis in Improving Teacher Performance (Case Study Sdn 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi). The success of education is influenced by the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance. This study aims to determine and analyze the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance at SDN 163085 Tebing Tinggi City. The ability to mobilize existing resources in schools that are used optimally to achieve the expected goals is the leadership of the principal. The implementation of this leadership is seen to determine the implementation process carried out by the principal how the leadership style in achieving increased teacher performance at SDN 163085 Tebing Tinggi City. Therefore, this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that can approach the nature of comprehensive data sources relating to principals and teacher performance at SDN 163085 Tebing Tinggi City. This research uses descriptive qualitative. The implementation of observations and interviews with resource persons conducted by researchers related to the leadership style of school principals in improving teacher performance at SDN 163085 Tebing Tinggi City. In this study it can be concluded that in improving teacher performance by using a participatory leadership style that is carried out by the principal at SDN 163085 Tebing Tinggi City. Then, still low performance shown. Furthermore, to improve teacher performance, the principal of SDN 163085 Kota Tebing Tinggi can use the leadership style of participation as well as the supervision carried out by the principal on teacher performance. This study suggests that in order to improve the quality of student education at SDN 163085 Tebing Tinggi City, it is necessary to improve the leadership style of the principal.

Abstract

Abstract: Analisis Miskonsepsi Siswa pada Materi Bangun Datar Dengan Menggunakan Three Tier Test di Kelas IV SDN 050644 Bahorok T.A. 2020/2021. This study aims to provide an overview of students' misconceptions on the material of flat shapes in class IV SDN 050644 Bahorok T.A. 2020/2021. Mastery of student material is often hampered due to misunderstanding of concepts or misunderstanding of principles. Initial concepts that are not in accordance with the conception of science brought by students will have an impact on the formal learning process. Formal learning which is a long continuous process must start with the right concept. This research was conducted using descriptive research methods. The research was carried out in the fourth grade of SDN 050644 Bahorok. With all fourth grade students being the research sample, totaling 20 students. The research instrument used is a three-tier test or a test with three levels. Based on the students' answers, it was found that as many as 29% of students understood the concept, as many as 55% of students experienced misconceptions, 2% of students answered correctly because they guessed lucky or did not believe in themselves, and as many as 14% of students did not understand the concept. The results showed that 29% of students experienced misconceptions, 12% students experienced false positive misconceptions, 14% students experienced false negative misconceptions. Keywords: Misconception, Three Tier Test, flat shapes Abstrak: Analisis Miskonsepsi Siswa pada Materi Bangun Datar Dengan Menggunakan Three Tier Test di Kelas IV SDN 050644 Bahorok T.A. 2020/2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran miskonsepsi siswa pada materi bangun datar di kelas IV SDN 050644 Bahorok T.A. 2020/2021. Penguasaan materi siswa sering kali terhambat karena kesalah pahaman akan konsep atau kesalah pahaman akan prinsif. Konsep awal yang tidak sesuai dengan konsepsi ilmu pengetahuan yang dibawa oleh siswa akan berdampak pada proses pembelajaran formal. Pembelajaran formal yang merupakan proses panjang yang berkelanjutan harus di mulai dengan konsep yang tepat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan di kelas IV SDN 050644 Bahorok. Dengan seluruh siswa kelas IV menjadi sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 20 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah adalah dengan three tier test atau tes dengan tiga tingkatan. Berdasarkan jawaban siswa maka diperoleh hasil bahwa sebanyak 29% siswa paham konsep, sebanyak 55% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, 2% siswa menjawab benar karena tebakan beruntung atau tidak percaya diri, dan sebanyak 14% siswa kurang paham konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa adalah sebanyak 29% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, 12% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi false positive, 14% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi false negative. Kata Kunci : Miskonsepsi, Three Tier Test, Bangun Datar

Abstract: Upaya Meningkatkan Cinta Kearifan Lokal Terhadap Siswa Sekolah Dasar Melalui Pendampingan Media Machine Question Answer And Appreciation Pada Pembelajaran Ips Di Sd Negeri 105293 Medan Estate. Pendampingan yang akan dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam merancang dan menggunakan “Machine QNA” serta menumbuhkan cinta tanah air untuk siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Yang dalam Proses pembelajaran guru masih banyak mengalami permasalahan yaitu, (1) Minimnya Media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran IPS, (2) Guru masih menggunakan Metode Konvensional dalam mengajar, (3) Siswa cenderung Bosan dalam proses pembelajaran, (4) Masuknya Teknologi dan Globalisasi membuat Siswa Cenderung mengetahui keKearifan an asing. Oleh karena itu TIM-PKM Unimed melaksanakan Kegiatan yang diprogramkan akan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, di antaranya: (1) Penyusunan Materi Machine Question Answer and Appreciation  (2) validasi materi oleh Ahli Materi (3) Pembuatan kerangka media oleh Ahli Pengrajin dan tim PKM-PM (4) Perakitan Machine Automatic Answer oleh  Ahli Mesin Tim PKM-PM (5) Desain dan Validasi Media Machine  Question Answer Appreciation  oleh Ahli Media Pembelajaran (6) Pengembangan Instrumen Media Pembalajaran (7) Sosialisasi dan Menampilkan video Interaktif (8) Penerapan Media Machine Question Answer Appreciation (9) Pertunjukkan seni oleh siswa berbasis               keKearifan an lokal. Therefore, the Unimed PKM Team carries out the programmed activities that will be carried out through several stages, including: (1) Preparation of Machine Question Answer and Appreciation Materials (2) material validation by Material Experts (3) Making media framework by Craft Experts and the PKM team -PM (4) Assembly of Automatic Answer Machines by Mechanical Experts PKM-PM Team (5) Design and Validation of Media Question Answer Appreciation by Learning Media Experts (6) Development of Learning Media Instruments (7) Socialization and Interactive Video Shows (8) Implementation Media Machine Question Answer Appreciation (9) Performing arts by students based on local wisdom. Abstract

Abstract: Improve Understanding of Operations in Calculating Subtraction and Adding Round Numbers with Muzax Media. The low learning outcomes of class VI SDN 104223 Bingkawan in addition and reduction of integer material indicate that students' understanding of the material is still low, one of the reasons is the absence of learning media for the material. The purpose of the mentoring and training activities is to improve students' understanding of the sum and counting operations of integers. This activity was conducted on April 9, 2019 until May 25, 2019 at 104223 Bingkawan SDN with pre-test and post-test techniques. After carrying out mentoring activities using MUZAX (Multifunctional Zahlen Box) media on addition learning and integer reduction for 24 students of class VI, there was an increase in learning outcomes by 75%.Keywords: Sum Numbers Addition and Reduction, MUZAX, Primary School Students.Abstrak: Meningkatkan Pemahaman Operasi Hitung Pengurangan dan Penjumlahan Bilangan Bulat Dengan Media Muzax. Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas VI SDN 104223 Bingkawan pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa pada materi tersebut masih rendah, salah satu penyebabnya adalah tidak adanya media pembelajaran untuk materi tersebut. Tujuan dari dari kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa menganai operasi hitung penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat.Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada 8 April 2019 sampai 25 Mei 2019 di SDN 104223 Bingkawan dengan teknik pre-test dan post-test. Setelah dilaksanakan kegiatan pendampingan dengan menggunakan media MUZAX (Multifnctional Zahlen Box) pada pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat terhadap 24 siswa kelas VI, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 75% .Kata Kunci : Penjumlahan dan Pengurangan Bilangan Bulat, MUZAX, Siswa Sekolah Dasar.
