Abstract

Road infrastructure damage, particularly potholes, is a critical issue that contributes to an increased risk of traffic accidents in Indonesia. This condition highlights the need for a road monitoring system that is capable of operating quickly, accurately, and continuously. This study aims to develop and evaluate an automated pothole detection system based on computer vision using the YOLOv8 (You Only Look Once version 8) method, a deep learning algorithm designed for real-time object detection. Dataset collection was conducted through two approaches, namely acquiring data from the Kaggle platform and capturing real-world road images directly using a smartphone camera to enhance data diversity and represent actual road conditions. All collected images were annotated using the Roboflow platform to generate labeled data suitable for model training. The YOLOv8 model was trained using a total of 345 images, consisting of 241 training images, 69 validation images, and 35 testing images. The training results indicate that the model achieved a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 93%, with a precision of 88% and a recall of 82%, demonstrating strong detection and localization performance. Furthermore, real-time testing using a smartphone camera showed that the system achieved an accuracy of over 85% under real-world conditions. These findings demonstrate that YOLOv8 has strong potential as an efficient and reliable automated pothole detection system, supporting road infrastructure maintenance and enhancing road user safety

Abstract

Santri baru di lingkungan pesantren rentan mengalami stres akibat perubahan pola hidup, tuntutan kedisiplinan, serta tekanan akademik dan sosial yang intens, sehingga banyak di antaranya masih menggunakan mekanisme koping maladaptif pada masa awal adaptasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas pelatihan koping stres dalam meningkatkan mekanisme koping santri baru di Pondok Pesantren Al-Qur’an Asy-Syahadah Surabaya. Kesenjangan penelitian terletak pada masih terbatasnya pelatihan koping stres yang terstruktur dan kontekstual yang secara khusus diterapkan pada santri baru perempuan pada fase transisi awal mondok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen one group pretest posttest terhadap 13 santri baru perempuan melalui lima sesi pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan koping setelah intervensi diberikan. Skor rata-rata koping meningkat dari 52.46 pada pretest menjadi 74.31 pada posttest, yang mencerminkan perkembangan kemampuan santri dalam mengenali stresor dan menerapkan strategi koping adaptif. Sebelum pelatihan, mayoritas responden berada pada kategori koping maladaptif, sedangkan setelah pelatihan seluruh santri berada pada kategori koping adaptif (100%). Uji Paired Sample T-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0.001 (p<0.05), yang menandakan perbedaan bermakna antara kondisi sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan koping stres efektif sebagai strategi preventif untuk mendukung kesejahteraan psikologis santri baru dan memperlancar proses adaptasi mereka di lingkungan pesantren

Abstract

Abstract. Water is the source of life on earth, and nearly 71% of the earth's surface is covered by water. In modern economic life, water plays a very large role as an environmental balance parameter. This study was conducted in Payakumbuh City and used time series data from 2008 to 2022. This study is quantitative in nature, collecting data from publications by the Payakumbuh City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Tirtasago Water Company (PDAM) library. The purpose of this study is to conduct a multiple linear regression test to show that the variables of water price and population have an effect on the demand for clean water from PDAM. Multiple linear regression analysis is a technique commonly used by researchers to measure the extent to which independent variables influence dependent variables. Using multiple linear regression analysis, the results of this study show that, partially, water price (x1) has a negative but insignificant effect on clean water demand, while population size (x2) has a significant positive effect on clean water demand. Water price and population simultaneously affect clean water demand.   Abstrak. Air merupakan sumber kehidupan di muka bumi dan hampir 71% permukaan bumi ditutupi air. Di dalam kehidupan ekonomi moderen, air memiliki peran yang sangat besar sebagai parameter keseimbangan lingkuangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Payakumbuh dan menggunakan data time series dengan jangka waktu dari tahun 2008-2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yaitu dengan cara mengumpulkan data dari publikasi Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota  Payakumbuh dan Kepustakaan PDAM Tirtasago. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengujian regresi linier berganda yang menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga air dan jumlah penduduk memiliki pengaruh terhadap permintaan air bersih PDAM. Analisis regresi linier berganda merupakan salah satu teknik yang biasa digunakan oleh para peneliti denga  tujuan mengukur seberapa besar pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap varibel terikat. Dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial harga air (x1) berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap permintaan air bersih dan jumlah penduduk (x2) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap permintaan air bersih. Harga air dan jumlah penduduk scara simultan mempengaruhi permintaan air bersih.

Abstract

Students are in the early adult development phase, characterized by freedom to make choices, but on the other hand, they are faced with various conflicting values, such as family, religion, and social environment. This condition causes differences in how students interpret sexual experiences, both as a form of self-exploration and as a source of identity conflict. This study aims to understand students' perceptions of the phenomenon of free sex and its influence on the process of identity search. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and observations of five students using snowball sampling techniques. The results show that students have diverse perceptions of free sex, ranging from viewing it as normal behavior to an act that contradicts their values. The experience of free sex has different impacts on the process of identity formation, such as increased self-confidence, feelings of guilt, and personal value conflicts. Factors such as social environment, social media, and personal experiences also influence how students interpret this phenomenon. This study confirms that casual sex is understood personally by each individual and plays a complex role in the process of students' identity formation.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Implementation of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Learning Method in the subject of faith and morals in improving students' moral values ​​at the Nurul Ulum Karang Manggis Rombuh Palengaan Pamekasan with the formulation of the problem 1) how is the effectiveness of the Implementation of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Learning Method in the subject of faith and morals in improving students' moral values ​​at the Nurul Ulum Karang Manggis Rombuh Palengaan Pamekasan Middle School. 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Learning Method in the Subject of Faith and Morals in Improving Students' Moral Values ​​at the Nurul Ulum Karang Manggis Rombuh Palengaan Pamekasan Middle School? The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach where the research results obtained are in the form of descriptive data, the data sources of this study are the principal, teachers of the subject of aqidah and akhlak, and also students. Data analysis was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method by reducing data, presenting data, and verifying the data obtained. The results of the research that the researcher has done show that the implementation of the value clarification technique method is effective because during the subject of faith and morals using this method, students are seen to be active in expressing their opinions politely, have a respectful attitude when their friends express their opinions and discuss and an honest attitude that they have when clarifying moral values ​​that are in accordance with the values ​​they have in everyday life. The supporting factors for the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) method are the existence of teachers who have broad insight and have good moral values ​​because in the subject of faith and morals, it contains both commendable and reprehensible behavior, so if the teacher has an exemplary nature, it will be a good reflection as well, such as the teacher never plays favorites against those who have opinions and respects every opinion they express and the existence of adequate media also supports the effectiveness of the application of the method. The inhibiting factors are the lack of understanding of students regarding the importance of moral values ​​so that there are still some children who do not listen, busy themselves during learning.

Abstract

The background of this study lies in the importance of women’s roles in preserving and transmitting Dayak cultural values amidst rapid social change. The aim of this research is to describe the role of the Dayak Women’s Institution of Central Kalimantan Province (LPD Kalteng) in community education through cultural preservation, to identify the challenges faced, and to explain the strategies employed to overcome those challenges. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants consist of the institution’s administrators and members. Data were analyzed through the processes of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that LPD Kalteng functions as a cultural education agent, bridging the preservation of traditional values with the needs of contemporary society. This role is reflected in various educational and cultural activities such as traditional costume seminars, cultural product bazaars, training in local product development, the use of YouTube as an educational medium, and the habituation of the Manasai dance in every event. The main obstacles faced include limited financial resources, low member participation due to time constraints, program self-reliance, and a lack of content production tools. To address these challenges, the institution implements strategies such as strengthening internal solidarity, optimizing leadership roles, and expanding external collaborations. The study concludes that, despite existing limitations, LPD Kalteng successfully plays a significant role in preserving cultural heritage while simultaneously educating the community.
