Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of RICOSRE (Reading, Identfying problem, Constructing Solution, Solving Problem, Reviewing Problem Solving, and Extending Problem Solving) learning model toward X grade students’ Biology problem solving in two high school. This type of research is quasi experiment research. The sample used is the students in three classes each schools that is determined by cluster random sampling. The research data collected by pretest and posttest score. Data analysis using two way ancova and then continued with LSD 5%. The research result indicate RICOSRE learning model significantly influenced the X grade students’ problem solving with a corrected average of problem solving achievement is 87,83%.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RICOSRE (Reading, Identfying problem, Constructing Solution, Solving Problem,Reviewing Problem Solving, and Extending Problem Solving) terhadap keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa Kelas X MIPA di dua SMA. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan ialah siswa pada masing-masing tiga kelas di setiap sekolah yang ditentukan secara cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji two way ancova kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut LSD 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran RICOSRE terhadap keterampilan memecah-kan masalah siswa. Siswa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan memecahkan masalah sebesar 87,83%.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to analyze the potential of the RICOSRE learning model in improving students' scientific reasoning abilities on different academic abilities. This research is a quasi-experimental research. SMAN 1 Malang and SMAN 7 Malang became a place of research with a sample of 188 students. The research design is Noneqivalent pretest - posttest control desaign group. Research data in the form of the acquisition of essay test scores. Essay test results were analyzed using anacova. Based on the research result it is proved that there is a potential of the RICOSRE on students' scientific reasoning abilities on different academic abilities.Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa dengan kemampuan akademik berbeda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi-eksperimien. SMAN 1 Malang dan SMAN 7 Malang menjadi tempat penelitian dengan jumlah 188 siswa sebagai sampel. Data penelitian berupa perolehan skor tes esai. Hasil tes esai dianalisis menggunakan anakova. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui adanya potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE terhadap kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa pada kemampuan akademik berbeda.

Abstract

Abstract: Project Based Learning (PjBL) teaches many important strategies to train various life skills to face the challenges of 21st century life, one of which is creative thinking. This quasi experiment research aims to determine the effect of project-based learning on the material of growth and development in high school students by using simple hydroponic cultivation techniques on students’ creative thinking skills. The research instrument was in the form of pre test and post test questions given to the experimental class and the control class. Data analysis with independent t-test shows the results of p value < α (α = 0.05), which proves that the research hypothesis is accepted, so it can be concluded that simple hydroponic project-based learning can improve students’ creative thinking skills.Key Words: PjBL, creative thinking skills, hydroponicAbstrak: Project Based Learning (PjBL) merupakan metode pembelajaran yang mengajarkan banyak strategi penting untuk melatihkan berbagai kecakapan hidup untuk menghadapi tantangan hidup abad 21, salah satunya yaitu creative thinking. Penelitian quasi experiment ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada siswa SMA dengan menggunakan teknik bertanam hidroponik sederhana terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal pre test dan post test yang diberikan kepada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Analisis data dengan independent t-test menunjukkan hasil p value < α (α = 0,05), yang membuktikan hipotesis penelitian diterima, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek hidroponik sederhana dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.Kata kunci: PjBL, keterampilan berpikir kreatif, hidroponik

Abstract

Abstract: This paper intends to seek the correlation of critical thinking skill and problem-solving ability of students on Natural Sciences Subject within Junior High School in Ecosystem topic. The subject of this research consisted of 135 students of 8th Graders in Odd Semester SMPN 17 Kendari Academic Year 2016/2017. This research employed two instruments, namely, critical thinking skill test in the form of multiple choices and problem-solving ability test in the form of an essay. The data obtained were then analyzed by calculating the average and employing correlational statistics. This research proves that students’ critical thinking skill average is 35.74, the problem-solving ability is 48.18, and the correlation coefficient is 0.31. It further means that only 9.61% of problem-solving ability could be explained by critical thinking ability. Key Words: critical thinking skill, problem-solving abilityAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah  IPA siswa SMP pada topik Ekosistem. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri atas 135 siswa kelas VIII Semester I SMPN 17 Kendari tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua instrumen, yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis berbentuk pilihan ganda dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah berbentuk esai. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara rata-rata dan statistik korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki skor rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis 35,74, kemampuan pemecahan masalah 48,18 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,31. Hal ini berarti hanya 9,61% kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat dijelaskan oleh kemampuan berpikir kritis.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah

Abstract

Abstract: Speed reading method helps students to learn effectively, efficiently, and independently in understanding a reading. This study aims to improve the reading speed and understanding of students’ biology concepts by applying speed reading method. This research was conducted in SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya in Odd Semester of Academic Year 2015-2016. This research is qualitative research which was done by employing reading speed test and comprehension test of biology concept. The subject of this research was 41 students of X-MIA class in SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya. The data were analyzed by employing descriptive qualitative. The results showed an increase in average reading speed of 481 wpm, with an average understanding of the concept of 73%.Key Words: speed reading, biology conceptual understanding, reading speedAbstrak: Metode speed reading membantu siswa untuk belajar secara efektif, efisien, dan mandiri dalam memahami suatu bacaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan membaca dan pemahaman konsep biologi siswa dengan menerapkan metode speed reading. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2015-2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan uji kecepatan membaca dan uji pemahaman konsep biologi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 41 siswa kelas X-MIA SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya. Data tersebut dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan rata-rata kecepatan membaca 481 kpm, dengan rata-rata pemahaman konsep 73%.Kata kunci: speed reading, pemahaman konsep biologi, kecepatan membaca

Abstract

Abstract: The research aim to examine effect of Thinking Empowerment by Questioning pattern in Team Game Tournament (TEQ-TGT) towards cognitive ability, science attitude, and metacognitive awareness of students in Grade 8 SMP Negeri 2 Ponorogo. The research used a quasi experimental method with pretest posttest only controls group design. The datas were obtained from cognitive test, questionnaire of Likert Scale, and Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire. The results showed that there were differences of effect in cognitive ability, science attitude, and me-tacognitive awareness of students that using learning patterns TEQ-TGT than the students who TEQ pattern.Key Words: TEQ-TGT, cognitive ability, acience attitude, metacognitive awarenessAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh pola pembelajaran PBMP-TGT terhadap kemampuan kognitif, sikap IPA, dan kesadaran metakognitif siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri 2 Ponorogo. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest posttest only con-trol group design. Data diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest kemampuan kognitif, angket Skala Likert, dan Angket Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan pengaruh kemampuan kognitif, ada perbedaan pengaruh sikap IPA dan kesadaran metakog-nitif siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pola pembelajaran PBMP-TGT dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pola PBMP.Kata kunci: PBMP-TGT, kemampuan kognitif, sikap IPA, kesadaran metakognitif

Abstract

Abstract: Empowering communication skills can be done through the implementation of appropriate learning models. Remap-NHT could potentially improve communication skills through the syntax of reading, concept mapping, and discussion. This study aims to determine the influence of Remap-NHT on communication skills conducted in August-December 2019. Samples amounted are 100 students from three classes of XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang, each of which has been discussed with Remap-NHT, NHT, and control. Data were analyzed using Oneway-Ancova, which previously carried out the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Levene’s Test of Equality of Error Variances. The results showed that Remap-NHT significantly improved communication skills compared to NHT and control.Key Words: communication skills; remap-NHTAbstrak: Pemberdayaan keterampilan komunikasi dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Model pembelajaran Remap-NHT berpotensi meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi melalui sintaks membaca, membuat peta konsep, dan diskusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Remap-NHT terhadap keterampilan komunikasi yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-Desember 2019. Sampel berjumlah 100 siswa dari tiga kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang yang masing-masing dibelajarkan dengan Remap-NHT, NHT, dan kontrol. Data dianalisis menggunakan Oneway-Ancova yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test dan Levene’s Test of Equality of Error Variances. Abstract

This study aims to generate critical thinking assessment instrument for seven graders within organism interaction in an environment with an appropriate validity and reliability level. The design of this instrument is developed using stages suggested by Borg and Gall. The stages are researching and collecting information, planning, developing a preliminary product, conducting the limited examination, revising product from limited examination, field testing, revising product from field testing, and finalizing product. The result of content and construction validation shows that the level of feasibility is 88,35% and categorized as very feasible. While the degree of readability of assessment items is 93,51% and it is categorized as excellent. The coefficient of inter-rater reliability of assessment items is 0,951 and categorized as excellent. The instrument acquires reliability coefficient 0,792 for multiple choice and 0,753 for essay items. This study shows that the content, construction, and items in assessment are feasible.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen asesmen berpikir kritis untuk siswa SMP kelas VII pada materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan dengan tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas yang memadai. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan menurut Borg & Gall, yang meliputi langkah-langkah: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba terbatas, revisi produk uji coba terbatas, uji coba lapangan, revisi uji coba produk lapangan, dan penyempurnaan produk akhir. Berdasarkan hasil validasi isi dan konstruk diperoleh tingkat kelayakan produk sebesar 88,35% berada pada kriteria sangat layak. Tingkat keterbacaan soal asesmen sebesar 93,51% dengan kategori sangat baik. Koefisien inter-rater reliability pada soal asesmen bentuk penugasan sebesar 0,951 dengan kategori sangat baik. Instrumen tersebut mempunyai koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,792 (soal pilihan ganda) dan 0,753 (esai). Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  berdasarkan validasi isi, konstruk, dan butir soal adalah layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Asplenium is one genus ferns aspleniaceae tribal members. Identification of the classification of the species can be determined by one of the morphological characteristics of the spores. Spore morphological characteristics include the shape, size, and type aperture ornamentation. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the species based on morphological characters spores. The method used is descriptive explorative to explore ferns Asplenium. The research found that five types of Asplenium is Asplenium nidus, Asplenium robustum, Asplenium salignum, Asplenium tenerum, and Asplenium unilaterale. The difference of 5 species Asplenium lies in the type of ornamentation characteristic morphology and size of the spores, whereas the equation is the shape, size and type categories aperture spores.Asplenium merupakan salah satu marga tumbuhan paku anggota suku Aspleniaceae. Identifikasi penggolongan spesies dapat ditentukan melalui salah satu karakteristik morfologi spora. Karakteristik morfologi spora meliputi bentuk, ukuran, apertura dan tipe ornamentasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis karakter spesies berdasarkan morfologi spora. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif eksploratif untuk mengeksplorasi tumbuhan paku Asplenium. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 5 jenis dari Asplenium yaitu Asplenium nidus, Asplenium robustum, Asplenium salignum, Asplenium tenerum, dan Asplenium unilaterale. Perbedaan dari 5 jenis spesies Asplenium terletak pada ciri morfologi tipe ornamentasi dan ukuran spora, sedangkan persamaan terletak pada bentuk, kategori ukuran dan tipe apertura spora.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are the embodiment ability due to changes in current behavior of education. Improving the quality of education can be the beginning of the learning process in which there are iteration between teachers and students. Teachers must create strategies to facilitate students with different abilities to be active in learning. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes through strategies TASC combined iMindMap. Research was conducted at SMAN 4 Sidoarjo 2015/2016 school year, the class X MIA 3 by the number of students 39. The research was quasi experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The results obtained showed that the mean score on the pretest of student learning outcomes by 60 and increased the posttest with a mean score of 84. Mastery learning outcomes of students reached 97%. Based on the results of this study concluded that learning strategies TASC combined with iMindMap can improve student learning outcomes.Hasil belajar adalah perwujudan kemampuan akibat perubahan perilaku yang dilakukan oleh usaha pendidikan. Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dapat diawal dari proses pembelajaran yang didalamnya terdapat interaksi antara guru dan siswa. Guru harus membuat strategi untuk memfasilitasi siswa dengan kemampuan yang berbeda agar aktif dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui strategi TASC dipadu iMindMap. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 4 Sidoarjo tahun ajaran 2015/2016, di kelas X MIA 3 dengan jumlah siswa 39. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa skor rerata hasil belajar siswa pada pretest sebesar 60 dan meningkat pada posttest dengan rerata skor 84. Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa mencapai 97%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan strategi TASC dipadu iMindMap dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
